Pros: Everything the hotel was first class , the room was very comfortable and spacious it was like stepping back in time. The hotel staff were very attentive and friendly, nothing was a problem for them, the restaurant staff and the food was fantastic. The only downside was the doorman on front street restaurant entrance, were we found him to be very abrupt in his manner, the hotel entrance round the corner mate, when tried to enter through the door. However the actual hotel staff could not be faulted

Cons:

Pros: Wonderful staff, welcoming and friendly. Top quality food and great fun overall. Loved the boys carol service.
Cons: Private lounge for guests - all areas seemed open to the public. It would have been lovely to have had a roaring fire and books/magazines to relax with. We felt we had to order expensive drinks to sit in the open areas.

Pros: Everything was what I would have expected of a hotel with the name of The Ritz. The staff were so helpful and all areas (including public rooms) were spotless. We couldn't see how it could have been improved on.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was fine and should not be messed about with.

Pros: The staff can't do enough for you, great relaxed atmosphere, Christmas decorations were superb and just added to the cosiness of the hotel. Facilities were excellent, but the staff really made it and I was looked after and thoroughly enjoyed my time sampling the Ritz brand of cigars.
Cons: The room was a little tired. But I mean a little, and it didn't spoil our stay. Second day breakfast was slow. We were a table of two in the centre of some larger tables that our waiter spent more time talking and having fun with. This was nice for them, but we were a little over looked, and we had to ask again for items that were missed from our order. - A very small point, and didn't detract from our overall stay.
5.0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: For the money for the hotel the service was not to a standard i would expect late check in were not made aware of bar for residents of the hotel until late last night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing and really made my mums birthday extra special
Cons: Wouldn’t say I didn’t like, but was really surprised that there wasn’t a T tray in the room
4.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast Room Service (as restaurant was not open before I had to leave).
Cons: Everything else - courteous, but very unhelpful staff in resolving issues and making guests feel comfortable. Slow service - room not available on time - view from the room was looking at steampipes. One of my most disappointing hotel stays compared to expectations (and I visit London 6-10x annually).
Room was old (it was clean) and not up to date for a luxury hotel.

Pros: Perfect location and the staff were amazing. So friendly and always smiling - nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and light. The bed was very comfortable and free bottle waters were a nice touch. Amazing en-suite, nice powerful shower.
Cons: I didn't like the perfume pumped through the air-con in the corridors and bedrooms. Infact we had to be moved as I suffer from asthma and it was effecting my breathing to a none perfumed floor (5) and room. The corridors are too dark, felt like a ship..

Pros: Location was perfect for London tourism (safe and within walking distance of everywhere). The hotel concierges and another gentleman whose name I didn''t catch were extremely helpful!
Cons: The desk chair legs (room 633) stuck out and the tight quarters meant that my toes got smashed. I humbly suggest a different chair. I know that space is limited but having a lounge w/ desks or couches (not part of the restaurant) would be nice.

Pros:

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and elegant stay, not to mention the perfect location. The staff at the door entrance are great.
Cons: Staff is professional but impersonal. The hotel doesn't have a comfortable area open for residents to sit and relax at any point in time. The tea room is great but has specific opening hours and also external guests which makes it partially convenient. The blinds in the rooms are not possible to remove which deteriorates the feeling of the nice view.

Pros: Very nice location, excellent staff and fabulous breakfast
Cons: Room quite hot, Windows not to be opened and airco being a bit noisy
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I have a serious complaint about the stay last night on top of a previous stay last week, basically the Hotel management allow occupiers of the 8th floor suites to play loud music until any time they wish, to the detriment of the guests below. Unacceptable. During the nights of the 29th and 30th while I was in room 442 the fire alarm went off 3 or 4 times. That was coupled with noise which I thought was coming from outside but was probably from a suite on the 8th floor. Last night I stayed in room 752 and was unable to sleep after 2am due to very loud noise (and I mean VERY loud plus vibrations and strong bass, Arabic music) coming from upstairs on the 8th floor. When I complained to the Duty manager he apparently went upstairs, asked them to turn down the music and they did not, instead the music continued until 5:30am at which point I checked out and left the Hotel to go very early to the airport to sleep. The Duty Manager did offer me a room at around 3am where I could go and sleep but I refused since it should not be me to continue being inconvenienced and I had no idea the music would continue until 5:30am! NEVER Again!!!

Rooms are spacious for a big city
Staff very helpful
Cons: Gym a bit small

Breakfast crowded late in the morning, not so special

Pros: Location, deluxe room quite good in size
Cons: Housekeeping not on par with 5 star hotels. Sometimes they forget to clean the room. I have to call to ask them to clean otherwise they would wait hours and hours before they clean.

Pros: The location was fantastic.
Cons: The out of town crowd the hotel attracts is undesirable... I often made to feel like second class due to the fact I am a woman... I hear this crowd often descends on London in the summer though so I can't slight the hotel for accommodating to them

Pros: This is a lovely hotel in a good location, an attractive area - a part of London we weren't familiar with, but it was great. Pros: The Wellington Hotel is in a large, quiet square which contains a school playing field. It is an easy walk to/from Victoria Station (but taxi needed if you have luggage). It is also convenient for Westminster Roman Catholic Cathedral (completed 1903), an impressive Byzantine-style building - not to be confused with the much more historic Westminster Abbey (Church of England) at the other end of Victoria Street. Both of these great churches have many features of interest and also world-class choirs, so music-lovers might wish to attend a choral service. The hotel has friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms and a useful lounge area, and good cooking. Seasonal touches - such as hot mulled wine on offer near Reception from 5 p.m. on December evenings - are appreciated.

Pros: Room was clean and fairly modern, bathroom a little cramped but again clean. Pleanty of space in the actual room, good hot water and heating. Perfect location for anywhere from Victoria to Westminster and great to walk around the area.

Cons: Bed was not comfy at all. The maid/housekeeping cane into room twice!! Kept knocking and woke us up two times which was taking the mick! Once at 8am and again at 10.05 am! Not happy. Seasonal touches - such as hot mulled wine on offer near Reception from 5 p.m. on December evenings - are appreciated.
Cons: The handsome flight of steps leading up to the entrance could be improved by a stylish handrail, which older guests would greatly appreciate. The uninviting "goods entrance" for disabled access off the street at the back would be a poor introduction for less mobile guests to a pleasant hotel. The taps serving the bath/shower are not of a standard design. Clear instructions with a diagram would be helpful.

Cons: The reception staff always friendly and obviously well trained if at times stressed. But I would expect and welcome all staff looking all guests in the eye and saying good morning or hello when passing them in the corridor.

Pros: The location was good
Cons: The bathroom was so antiquated .I had to fill the bath on several occasions as the the plug was no longer functioning. It took many minutes to obtain hot water. The bath itself had cracks and mould around the sides. The breakfast was abysmal with only a small selection available. My partner had chosen baked beans which she ate but told me that they were cold. I chose some scrambled eggs which smelt like fish, this I mentioned to the waiter who informed the chef who claimed that this is the smell you get from pasteurized eggs. I cannot remember this odour having eaten pasteurized eggs on several occasions. I think they have seriously overcharged for what they have offered. I will never return to this hotel ever again.

Cons: Rude racist staff. Old shabby hotel. Feels like a 2* property. The manager and reception staff was very rude. Would never see a Hilton again in my life.

Pros: Orange juice machine.
Cons: The breakfast lets the hotel down and does not match standards of a 5 stars hotel in London. Breakfast staff seemed untrained and inexperienced. Food was not varied and it was difficult to understand how it needed to be ordered. It all seemed very disorganised . Tables were not prepared and nobody seemed to be attending them . Staying with two people coming from abroad , very embarrassing . Someone should be overseeing the staff .

Pros: the only good thing about this hotel is location and very friendly staff
Cons: hotel claims 5 stars, however it can hardly be considered as one. bath room is absolutely old requires deep maintenance. was very cold in the room, the cold air was coming from closed windows (even though we had heating fully switched on). Hotels as Hilton shall provide expected quality, which surely was not the case here. Very used/exchausted hotel.

Pros: the staff were very friendly and professional - the room was basic but was expecting that but had the essentials, shower in section of hte room, free wiifi, sky tv and free coffee/tea/water in room. as a bouns there was as wine and cheese evening free of charge for all visitors, which was great as traveling alone meant I could just relax not having to find somewhere to have a evening drink. bed was very comfortable - room was adequate size for just me staying for one night, booking out was easy and they offered a free luguage holding service, which meant I could go out and enjoy the day without having to drag all my laguage with me! definitely use the place again as great value for great location - just down from the national express bus station and opposit vicotora train station highly recommended.

Cons: not sure how comfortable I'll be if staying with someone with the bathroom/shower in same area / not a seperate room, so not good for newly couples! but minior issue - overall think its a great place to go for location and value for money
6.0 Good
Pros: Customer service great, but fuse outlet wasn't working pro
Cons: The bathroom is tight with glass walls not appropriate when traveling with child my son had to turn around while I showered!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Complimentary cheese and wine! Super friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is good and I enjoyed the wine and cheese which is offered to all guests from 5-7PM which helps somewhat swallow the pill for the quality of the room and excessive price.
Cons: My room was tiny it had no window and it still cost 300 £ a night. I felt like I was in cell.
6.0 Good
Pros: location is great
Cons: room is too small.
7.0 Good
Pros: Cleanliness of the room was superb.
Cons: As I was travelling for business, it would have been nice if there was an iron in the room for ironing shirts. Also, I felt the lighting in the room was a little too dark.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Not much
Cons: The room is ridiculously small
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was very good and staff were great.
Cons: Tiny room that was more like a cabin on a yacht, and as wide as a bed is long. Uncomfortable bed too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was so amazing and helpful!
Cons:
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff at the reception was so friendly and helpful, it makes this hotel special. The complimentary cheese and wine, such a nice courtsey!
Cons: The water in the shower was not particularly hot (and I love to have very hot shower) and I didn t expect the room was that that small ( but I should have expected this for such a good price and location)
6.0 Good
Pros: Very good with checking in early and was organized.
Cons: The shower was an issue. Someone helped me fix it but still had problems. It wouldn't adjust the temperature.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to Victoria Station and a wonderful complimentary wine and cheese each evening!
Cons: The bed is literally against two walls so you must climb over the other person to get in or out of bed - better suited for one person.

Pros: The Grand lived up to it's name, with a quiet, posh feel. Very comfy bed, and the staff were above and beyond in helpfulness, politeness and friendliness. Breakfast, while costly, was exceptionally well varied and high quality. And the location was superb! Everything was walkable if you wanted. Pros: The staff was very helpful and friendly. I liked the free bottled water by the ice machine in the hallway. Luggage storage at no charge was helpful too.
Cons: We booked 2 rooms with queen beds, plus a double pull-out couch...plenty of beds for a family of 5. When we checked in, we were given two rooms with queen beds only. The staff worked to fix the issue, but I still don't think that we got what we paid for.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location, that’s about it
Cons: It was our anniversary, they put us in the room with an accessible shower instead of a room with a bath. And the room furnishings did not warrant the price. Felt as though we were staying in a travelodge. Also, the bed was not comfortable at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a medical emergency, and staff members assisted kindly and professionally. They called emergency services and assisted getting wife clothed and into ambulance. Later they called to get update of her condition. BTW-- Loved their dessert doughnuts

Pros: This was literally right in the center of everything I was easily able to walk to everything I wanted within the first day. Also the staff was amazing.
Cons: That I didn’t stay long enough. The bed was so comfortable I knocked out, so nothing really wrong.

Pros: Best location for sight seeing
Cons: Small rooms, small elevators, narrow halls, limited air conditioning

Pros: The staff was amazing and the location was perfect.
Cons: The tv program options were awful and our bathtub was dirty.

Pros: Location for theatre and culture
Cons: Having a 12.5% service charge added to a drink I bought at the bar (went to the bar to buy it so no added service beyond normal bar duties).
Public hotel areas well equipped but very dusty in harder to reach areas.
Room had all amenities but nothing special.

Pros: The accomodation was lovely, we had a beautiful newly refurbished room. We stayed for my Mother's 50th birthday celebrations and guest services arranged a nice treat for us. As a group of 7 we have rooms together and the hotel accommodated the request for twin beds in the rooms. We enjoyed a pre theatre meal in the grosvenor arms and we liked having the use of the executive lounge. In the morning this was very busy and the breakfast items quickly ran out, the waitress needed assistance as she could not give everyone the service has had wished to single handedly. There were limited food items, cups and milk. When we returned in the evening, she looked after us very well and the service was fantastic. We loved the wine and snacks in the executive lounge which was quieter in the evenings.

Cons: On our first evening we visited the soak bar as a group of 7, when paying the bill for drinks only we were asked why we did not wish to pay the service charge. Given we have waited a very long time to be served, and had been ignored by staff. We also would have had a second round of cocktails but had nobody to ask, we chose not to pay the service charge. As we were leaving we were challenged as to why we had not paid this I do not feel this is acceptable given service charges are an optional discretionary charge.

Pros: Clean and very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location with direct access to Victoria Station. Grand old hotel - built in 1860's - but rooms totally updated. Staff was execellent
Cons: for US customers, rooms are all small side but are standard European size. Storage space is a bit spare. No drawers for clothes.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Room was nice with good storage. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Bathroom very small. Our TV had problems, would freeze and would have to shut off then on again. Over and Over. Also seemed to depended on which channel was selected. Mentioned this the first night we checked in. Technician came but problem was not resolved that evening. Next day they tried again. Still not solved. Since we had been on an all day excursion that 2nd day of our stay we didn't realize until evening that problem still existed. So the problem was never resolved. No offer to move us was made during that time. At checkout we asked whether they would instead give us the breakfast we had on one day for free. We were told yes. But I still see a pending charge on our bill for $64. That should be $0.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The location of the hotel was great. Beautiful lobby and structure.
Cons: The Fire alarm went off in our room at 4:30am causing me to jump out of bed hitting my shoulder which is now in pain several days later. The staff said it was an error. Plus the television did not work and the cold faucet in the bathroom did not work.
6.0 Good
Pros: The lobby was beautiful and it was a great location.
Cons: The rooms were tiny. There was no room to even open a suitcase. I expected more for the price. The elevators had issues as well and we had to carry our suitcases up stairs.

Pros: The bathtub and location. There are a lot of stairs if that makes your journey more difficult. But they are happy to help you.

Cons: Currently undergoing refurbishment. Noise appalling.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Warm cookie on arrival was a nice touch, good location for what I needed, comprehensive breakfast, Hilton Honors club, friendly staff
Cons: Dated facilities, room wasn’t ready when I arrived so got moved then couldn’t connect to WiFi because the name and room number hadn’t been updated (login credentials), understaffed check-in deal meant long queue times for check-in/check-out, refurb work was extremely noisy and inconvenient when I was trying to take work calls, would have been nice to know about this prior to checking in, stair layout is terrible and couldn’t access ground floor (emergency exit only) so had to take the lift to/from third floor.
6.3 Good
Pros:
Cons: Construction/drilling at 09:00 was ridiculously loud (as I suppose drills are). Could have done with the heads up previous to the booking as it ruined the morning vibe.

Pros: Quiet hotel Nice location safe area Breakfast staff and the cleaning staff are really nice and professional Descent dinning room size is quite good compared to other hotels with the same rate price was fair at the time, black Friday was a busy time in London, but you can book with better hotels with the same price
Cons: we were staying at floor number 2, unpleasant smell when you enter the floor for the first two days need to refurbish the rooms reception staff was not too welcoming as my previous experience with Hilton series

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff were a little rude and initially was making me wait to check into a room at 3 PM and I arrived at 2:30. Once I told them I was a Hilton honors member they all of a sudden said the room was available. My checkin experience could have been better.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed. Air con works!
Cons:
6.0 Good
Pros: The location is perfect. The staff is nice and the room is big enough.
Cons: The furniture in the room was outdated and the breakfast was mediocre. A fine hotel, but the price is mostly for the location.
6.5 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Concierge will to help with reservations, etc.
Cons: WiFi was sketchy. No bellman helping with cabs. Breakfast was pricy. Handheld shower head wouldn't sit correctly when attached to fitting, so water hit the wall instead of me unless I held it.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything, list too long to hilight all the wrongs
1.0 Poor
Pros: The location
Cons: Bed (held together with duct tape and bits missing) Cot (stained and dirty - chose not to use it) Bathroom (disgraceful - Chose not to shower during our stay) Windows (filthy) Carpets (Shoes stayed on unless in bed) The entire establishment is in dire need of a refurbishment, deep clean and beds replacing. I didn’t get to my room until 2230 and would have left on the first night if I could have found a reasonably priced hotel for two nights, unfortunately wasn’t in a position to fork out another £350 for a hotel nearby - One neighbouring hotel commented they regularly get custom from Blair vic walkouts. My in-laws were also staying in another room and seeing theirs I knew right away it would be pointless asking for another room. I admit Blair Victoria might be ‘cheap’ by London standards but at £134 for two nights I expect the place to at least be clean and the bed in one piece. On departing there was no obligatory ‘how was your stay?’ and looking at the state of the place complaining would have been as productive as urinating into a head wind. I don’t get the feeling the owners care, only interested in maxing profit in their pockets. Final insult - £5 charge to leave bags for a couple of hours on departure day. Added a few pics, note - they were taken on departure day.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location only
Cons: Rooms are small and bathroom small also shower very small
5.0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: The rooms could do with a bit of paint to freshen room up, The breakfast was a bit of a let down, as it was just cerel and toast, wouldn't really call it a continental breakfast
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Dirty
1.0 Poor
Pros: It did not seem to give us any bed bugs and it was close to Victoria station.
Cons: Pay for WiFi when it said it was included. Dirty. Awful mattress. Shower overflowed in 3 minutes. Shower cord was kinked waterflow sucked So cold you needed the space heater on all night. Only 2 of the 6 outlets worked. Loud. Thin walls. Toilet far away.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Nothing
Cons: It was dirty and the bed was small and very uncomfortable. Kettle and cups but no drinks to with it. Sink and toilet didnt flush away. Breakfast was a astack of toast in a very grubby room. Very disappointing.
1.0 Poor
Pros:
Cons: It was a slum. I wondered how it had a license
3.4 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: Rooms stunk like death , mild everywhere , beds were gross.
5.0 Okay
Pros: price and location, such an affordable price so central is hard to find
Cons: It's filthy! You can hear the street through the single glazing and all can hear when you flush the toilet down the corridor. Tolerable for a few days because of the price and location
7.0 Good
Pros: Worth the money I paid
Cons: Draughty by the window
4.2 Okay
Pros: Excellent location - only plus for this accommodation considering the price.
Cons: Dirty room and bathroom, breakfast consisting of toast and pre-packed butter and jam.
