Pros: Booked for a birthday treat. The whole experience was simply ordinary. We did get 3 birthday cake slices delivered on 3 different occasions to the wrong person !!!! I have stayed at many hotels in London and this hotel is nothing different in terms of service or facilities. It may have once had the Xfactor but there is nothing I can write, in fact thats why im leaving a review to say it has certainly lost its factor in terms of "making a difference"

Pros: The perfect location
Cons: Very long breakfasts (that's why we did it once and never again) with mediocre dishes. But the worst when you order it to the room. My children did not even start eating fried eggs, they were overcooked. My scrammbled eggs were dry and therefore insipid. It was the last day of stay and we had to drive to the airport really hangry. Fortunately breakfasts were not included. Bathroom equipment was aweful: the shower was whistling (as a matter of fact quite loudly), the faucets were so difficult to close (so that they do not drip) that children (including 8-year-old) could not do it themselves (and afterwards they hands down could not open them). And on the whole the bathroom was quite wierdly organized (I understand that it is because the building is fairly old, but it is not a relief for me). Air-conditioning system was pretty loud and began to stink every time after a couple of hours, so we had a binary choice: either to sweat or to put up with the reek. And it's only a couple of things that we did not like in this hotel. All in all it makes an impression of hugely backward place. The bottom line: never again in Savoy in any city of the world.

Pros: The Corinthia is a luxurious hotel with several lovely bars, a wonderful afternoon tea, beautiful flowers and spacious, beautiful rooms. But what I liked most about the hotel was the service. From the time we arrived - wait, no, even BEFORE we arrived, we were treated warmly and respectfully. Our original flight was canceled, so I called the hotel directly to let them know. The representative was lovely and kind (much nicer than anyone at United Airlines), and helped us extend our stay by a day to make up for our missing our original schedule. Then, when we finally did arrive at the Corinthia, we appreciated the attentiveness of the reception staff and the personal tour of the property. Our room was even more delightful than we expected from the photos. We engaged the concierge and bell staff for a variety of things, including helping me with my lost luggage, and each member of the staff was unfailing polite and helpful. Finally, we enjoyed a drink at the Kerridge's Bar - and we were so enamored with the decor and atmosphere that we canceled our existing dinner reservation and were able to be seated in the restaurant. Our meal was the best we had while in London - especially the mushroom risotto (which isn't really risotto, as they will explain) and the fish and chips (yep, this 2-starred Michelin restaurant serves fish and chips and it is DIVINE). I look forward to taking my husband back to this hotel and highly recommend it for all.

Pros: The location was great! We were looking for a place that was as close as possible to King's College because we were attending a conference there. We needed something nice, accessible and affordable. We were super happy with this choice, it was especially nice to be able to walk/wheelchair everywhere we wanted to go. We never had to think of transport options except to and from the airport. Great area. We got a very warm welcome by a lovely young woman called Soha. The room (Wilde Accessible Studio) was beautifully designed and very clean. A bit on the smaller side but manageable because my wheelchair is rather small. For people with bigger wheelchairs this isn't accessible.

Cons: I only have three negative things to point out, all are accessibility related. Firstly he room is too small to be accessible for people in bigger wheelchairs. It only worked well for me because my chair is small. Secondly the bathroom really lacked some table space around the sink. I thought this was one of the absolute basics when designing accessible hotel bathrooms and was surprised because everything else was so nicely designed. Because of the lack of table space I could not even brush my teeth in the bathroom and had to do it at the little dining table in the room. Finally a note for disabled people and others with breathing issues. If you use a breathing aid like cpap or BiPAP you should know that the bedside table is completely unusable because it's tiny. I used one of the chairs as a bedside table during the whole stay. They have a flat seat so it works. A bit annoying though.

Pros: It was my fiancé's 40th Birthday and I wanted to treat her. I booked a nice room (Delux Double) but we were upgraded to a Junior Suite, which was fantastic and made her feel very special. The receptionist who assisted us was Andreea and she was very polite, helpful and thoughtful. A very good experience and we are likely to be back on our wedding night, if not before.

Pros: Perfect location and the staff were amazing. So friendly and always smiling - nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and light. The bed was very comfortable and free bottle waters were a nice touch. Amazing en-suite, nice powerful shower.
Cons: I didn't like the perfume pumped through the air-con in the corridors and bedrooms. Infact we had to be moved as I suffer from asthma and it was effecting my breathing to a none perfumed floor (5) and room. The corridors are too dark, felt like a ship..

Pros: It was my fiancé's 40th Birthday and I wanted to treat her. I booked a nice room (Delux Double) but we were upgraded to a Junior Suite, which was fantastic and made her feel very special. The receptionist who assisted us was Andreea and she was very polite, helpful and thoughtful. A very good experience and we are likely to be back on our wedding night, if not before.

Cons: as a frequent client, we were given a very small room compared to normal and when we asked to be given something of our usual size, they wanted a premium. so our take-away is it really doesn't pay to be loyal. its a cool hotel, but think we'll try somewhere else next time.

Cons: Amba have debited my MasterCard £37.90 for some unexplained reason on 4th September. We pre paid through you £315 on 3rd August. When the booking was made it included breakfast. We had nothing from the fridge in the room. We did have breakfast. The receptionist before we left said breakfast had been included and so there was nothing further to pay. Please arrange for £37.90 to be refunded to me now

Cons: I was first provided a room that did not match the description on the internet for a King Deluxe room. It was remedied once I talked to the manager at the check-in desk, however it took a few hours for the new room to be ready for us.

Cons: Air con was broken and room was hot but fans were put in room and it did the job. Lighting in bathroom was right over head so for doing makeup it was hard to see properly but to be honest that probably did me a favour! I genuinely loved this hotel.

Cons: Booked a room for 3 but hadn’t been made up for 3 when we arrived. Quickly remedied when we reported to reception. Bed settee was made up and 3rd mug, set of towels placed in room. We wanted extra pillows, which we found in the guest lockers. However they were heavily stained and one we picked up was torn :-( We did not want to handle so kept in their plastic bags to use under our pillows that were made up. Pillowcases were put on the extra pillows by the maid the following morning but we couldn’t quite forget what the pillows were like underneath:-O Coffee machine in CQ lounge was out of action for over a day. cold drinks in the fridge not stocked up.

Pros: It’s all about location! Just a few steps from Trafalgar Square and so central to everything. There was a kitchenette in our suite, which meant that we could self-cater on some days - a significant saving in high season. There is also a guest laundry. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Cons: There was no window in our bedroom and although there was a small opening window in the adjacent study nook, it felt quite claustrophobic. (The staff did their best by providing a small fan for air circulation.) The air conditioning unit was very noisy, but nothing that ear plugs didn’t fix.

The breakfast selection was mediocre and the same everyday for the 9 days I was there. The hotels decor is old and outdated. It was difficult to even have a bottle of water delivered.

Cons: The staff definitely could've been a little more hospitable. There was a very mean lady at the breakfast bar. People at the front desk didn't so much as say "Good morning" when guests came down for the day. The rooms were not cool at all. The facility does not use AC, but rather fans, so the temperature in the rooms do not cool lower than 25°C. Getting into the tub/shower is VERY difficult. It is VERY high. The furniture (couch especially) is VERY old, cushions very worn and definitely needs to be replaced.

Pros: The W Hotel is in a very central location in London - right in the heart of Chinatown and it's surroundings. We expected it to be quite loud but found the hotel to be extremely quiet and comfortable during our stay there. The hotel has a very funky vibe and is suited to travellers who don't mind being in the heart of the action and looking for a modern hotel. The room was comfortable and had all the modern conveniences one would expect from a hotel of W's size. Overall, a pretty good stay!

Cons: I received the worst treatment possible from the managerial staff. Firstly, even though they had my reservation, which was made and confirmed a month and a half in advance, they decided that they didn't have any room available for me to stay in when I arrived to check in. I found this to be very unprofessional since they could have called me or emailed me prior to my arrival at the hotel to give me a forewarning so that I could plan ahead as well. The situation was worsened by the staff then relaying this information to me in a very condescending manner in which they had the very unapologetic tone of "take it or leave it".
Secondly, they decided that a fair way to "compensate" me would be by reserving a room in another hotel on my behalf, without any input from me regarding choice, and then giving me a ride to this new hotel. I specifically chose the W for my stay and did not choose the other hotel when making my initial plans. So, the manager felt he could take the payment for the room at the W, decide that they no longer have a room at the W, then deny me the choice of an alternative hotel, and all without the option of a refund. They said they were compensating me, but I feel that they cheated me greatly. It was terrible customer service. Eventually, I had no choice but to take their offer of staying at the other property, which I didn't want to stay in, since they were not going to make any room available for me at the W for the night.
Truthfully, I feel there were a bunch of racial undertones and biases based on the unprofessional, condescending, unempathetic, and unapologetic tone of the manager and staff. I have stayed at many hotels around the world. This has been, by far, my worst experience with any hotel staff regarding a reservation.

Cons: On two separate occasions I came to find my room door open (the housekeeping forgot to close the door when they finished cleaning my room and kept the door open with all my belongings inside) Totally made me feel unsafe! The first room (spectacular room) is very small bcoz of the counter they have in the middle, takes up soo much space in the room so no place to move around. Cleanliness wasn’t good either although i did point it out a few times. And above all that my room was just on top of the bar so the noise was too much to handle and my room was actually shaking from the loud sound.

Dirty towels left for us next day would want to stay again Lift only one working stairs locked for staff only !!! Glad there was no Emergency a bit worrying really. Wouldn’t take a lot to improve don’t feel we got value for money here we have paid a lot less with high standards. Overall good location but disappointed with hotel facilities great weekend still.
