The ice machine on each floor. But my floor was out of orders
The very very noisy squeaky beds that was rock hard. Urine stains on the quilts. ( Not the covers) windows are not accessible to open. Poor quality on television lack of channels. Adjoining door that was not mentioned in the reference to the room. No mini fridge no radio alarm very appalled buy a 2-night stay. At £760. This is my second time at a Hilton and my second time very disappointed in the cleanliness and comfort.
Location near Paddington Station and Edgeware Road tube station are great. Not much else positive to say.
When engaging with staff, they were both friendly and helpful. The issue is waiting as a standard guest versus a Hilton Honors one. Three desks open for them and one for a queue of standard guests. The bed was hard (not firm as I have at home) with creaky springs when you moved. A fridge that did not initially work, so we had to change rooms the following day and then a bathroom extractor fan that did not work in the new room, and the TV had black lines that run through the picture continuously. Carpet stains and ugly cracks in the basin.
Prices too high for the quality of the hotel/facilities. Room dated.
The manager when checking in was such a gentleman. Didn’t manage to catch his name but he was a very genuine person
The reception and lobby bar looked quite sharp and the breakfast was good with plenty of choice. That’s where the positives end.
Corridors were untidy, people on my floor were smoking thus filling the space with smoke. No fire alarms?!? The carpet in the bedroom was heavily stained, some stains were wet and were odourous, there was rubbish in the bin and in the room from the previous occupant. And there was a small blood stain on the bed linen. The room I booked wasn’t available and I had to be moved to this one. Pool was also out of action and after traveling all day, was Unwelcome news. Add the above comments and it was a definite TWO STAR venue.
