Pros: despite being over motor court, room was very quiet, everything was well designed, staff was extremely helpful, bathroom was tremendous, restaurant was great. Very little (if anything) to actually complain about. Top-notch.
Cons: gym facilities were modest as was pool, but not a terribly big deal as most hotel gyms have a limited offer.

Pros: The hotel was elegant without being pretentious. The entire staff, really everyone, were: friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, intelligent, observant and consistently went above expectations. They helped us feel so at home in a new city. The location at Trafalgar Square/Charing Cross was ideal, full access to the city and all of its charms.
Cons: The room cooler had a weak seal and kept heating rather than cooling if the door wasn't carefully closed. There was minimal storage space for clothing...tiny closet and no drawer space.

Pros: The hotel had just the perfect location for us, situated as it was within a 10-minute walk of Leicester Square, Soho, Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, St Martins-in-the-Field, Covent Garden, The Strand, and so much more. Our room was on the 3rd floor, directly above the entrance to Charing Cross Station and practically overlooking Trafalgar Square. Amazingly, we could hardly ever hear a sound from outside! The windows had great soundproofing, I guess. The only sounds that appeared to get through were when the street musicians played amplified guitars at night, and they seemed to stop at a decent hour so it wasn't all that disruptive. Staff were always friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable with all modern conveniences including a soothing rainwater shower with plenty of hot water. The complimentary minibar was a nice surprise, too.

Pros: Near many tourist attractions and two Tube stations, the hotel is in a great spot. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They even let me check into my room when I arrived from my early flight at 9am! The rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was great too.

Pros: This hotel offers a welcome change from the big American chain hotels. Although it is part of an Indian chain, it has managed to preserve an old world charm. The Christmas tree in the lobby along with all the comfy couches and the Elle lovely courtyard made it feel very cozy and comfortable.

Pros: The food was delicious! Breakfast consisted of Indian food and your traditional English breakfast. I am a vegan so I was very happy with the Indian food choices. The wait staff at the Hampton Bar was top notch. We never had to wait for anything. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: There was a lot of construction happening across the street when we visited, but that is no fault of the hotel. Our room was not facing the street, so it was not a disruption.

Pros: The hotel was sold out so the room they gave us through Kayak was not so good, a bit tarnished and with warning signs everywhere, We stayed in better rooms in this hotel in the past. They used to give us welcome notes and a fruit basket to thank us for coming back But, this time, no note, not a great room, as if they were indifferent because we had booked through Kayak (with which they are not partner). It was not possible to change for a better room for 4 days. Then, a wonderful attendant, Adriana moved us to a better room for an additional fee. So,we had s a better experience toward the end of the stay. I am a fan of the "free breakfast" which seem to attract a non-business crowd.... As a result, a loyal returning guests get a luck ward welcome.

The bathroom with the heated floor was very nice surprise. Doorman was wonderfully welcoming, the bellboys were quick and helpful and the concierge was professional and always pleasant and patient.
Cons: I asked for an early check in which wasn't possible and I understood this. However, when I returned at the regular check in time, the receptionist without checking with anyone, insisted the room still wasn't ready. Had to ask for the manager, who after checking with housekeeping, found the room was ready. Receptionist was not happy at being contradicted and was less than pleasant for the rest of the check-in process. Not offered breakfast discount on check-in so would have paid substantially more if I hadn't found out about the discount by accident. Stayed two nights. Mini-fridge was not restocked the second day. Took 45 minutes to get a bucket of ice and then felt guilty for asking for it when we found out the poor guy doing room service was the only one on duty. Seems like the hotel needs to amp up the staff numbers to provide the five star service you're paying for.

We ended up changing our room twice -- the first time at the suggestion of the bellman, because it didn't have any view. The second room had a view but was way smaller than the other, and had no bath tub. We were moved a third time at our request and got a wonderful room (but without a river view). The staff made both moves very easy indeed.

We had an issue with the A/C in the first room on the first night and the hotel moved us to another room and everything was in order there. We only had the included minibar fully stocked once during the 6-night stay and only after mentioning it to the front desk. The minibar was restocked with drinks one more time but the food items were not restocked. Not sure if the hotel only includes one restocking or if it was supposed to be restocked daily. This was included with the rate we paid, I think it was the 'deluxe' package. It's a great hotel but I would say it is more of a 4+ star hotel. It seems the A/C units need updating or repair, the faucets in the bathroom are worn from cleaning so much and our spout was loose, the wood top near the tea-making facilities was warped from prior water damage. We have stayed here 5 or 6 times now over the past few years and the TV in the bathroom has never worked, but we don't use it so it's never been a deal-breaker. It is hit or miss if you get a room with working heated towel racks and/or heated bathroom floors. We love the location, the lobby, the staff, the bar, the breakfast, the courtyard/gardens, etc. It's one of our go-to hotels to stay at when we can afford it. You won't be disappointed if you do stay here. Just make sure to mention any issues with the staff and they will do their best to get it taken care of.

Cons: Breakfast was really not great, firstly the lady who seated us, asked if we wanted coffee and toast, then none arrived had to ask again for it, same with ordering some porridge it came 15 minutes later, but was like gruel, quite surprised that a 5 star hotel kitchen can't make porridge. Overall a little bit too structured and formal, but lacked professionalism in the restaurant.

Pros: The rooms were comfortable and we had a lovely view of the river and the lighted ferris wheel. The staff were courteous, professional, and responsive. The location is great. The concierge was quite helpful. Breakfast was great but if we had not obtained a good price including breakfast, the a la carte cost of adding on breakfast would not have been worth it. The hotel is lovely and we hope to stay there again.
Cons: For about half of our stay the hotel telephone system was not working. The sink in one of our rooms was quite high and uncomfortable for our elder and short relative.

The only small issue we had was that we should have been told that rooms now only get re made, if you request it at reception. This is due to vivid, and trying to minimise contact. Pros: The Park Plaza Riverbank London is perfectly situated, particularly if you will rely on public transportation to get around London. The hotel is a short walk to the Vauxhall Station, which includes access to National Rail, bus, and the underground (Victoria line). The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very modern. There were illuminated controls on each side of the bed for the lights, plus an electronic method for lighting up a "privacy" or "please clean the room" sign outside the door. The bathroom included both a tub and a (very small, but well-appointed) walk-in shower (which did not leak). The price was excellent for a London hotel. We did not use the restaurant or other facilities at the hotel, so we cannot comment on them.

Pros: We went on a weekend away because he had tickets to see Harry Potter and the cursed child, which the hotel was a short five minute walk away which was great for me and my friend to get there as it was over 2 nights.
Cons: However we were never informed that there was to be building works happening throughout February. This resulted in there being no room for a reception desk and little to do in the hotel as everything was cordened off. As for the rooms, they were small and dated, they also didn't have much of a blind for the windows. As there has been a neon lit build finished across the street from the hotel, the room was lit up all night. To add to this there was a false fire alarm at 4am in the morning which no one came to inform us about but we could barely hear it from our room. The shower cubicle was really small with a really powerful shower that wasn't pleasant and to top everything we had a cockroach crawl into our room just before our departure that resided under our bed. Pros: Not much other than it was clean and close to the Eurostar. Essentially you paid for the location.
Cons: No toiletries or fridge. Tiny double bed in awkwardly shaped room. In Europe it would have been marked up as a no frills business hotel and would have cost far less.
Located in London City Centre, this hotel is within a 15-minute walk of Oxford Street, Marble Arch and Hyde Park. Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum and Kensington Gardens are also within 15 minutes. Edgware Road Underground Station is only a 2-minute walk and Paddington Underground Station is 7 minutes.

Pros: The lobby, check in, restaurants, and sitting areas are generous and pleasant. I chose this hotel for its convenience to the Heathrow Express train and local underground lines, and it did nit disappoint. There is also a lovely canal nearby with restaurants for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a beer. In the lobby, the customer service was world class.
Cons: Our room was in the Tower, an older part of the hotel. I specifically booked Hilton because I wanted excellent quality beds and a room comfortable for my elderly mother. The room was tiny, with a dangerously high step into and out of the combination bath/shower. The beds were of poor quality with creaky springs. The mini fridge did not work. This is acceptable for a budget tourist hotel, but this room severely degrades the Hilton Brand. It should not be sold under the Hilton flag. My mother and I independently compared the room to a Motel 6. If you stay here, request a room in the newer portion of the hotel. Hopefully it's better.

Pros: The room was clean and not too small. Courteous staff even during a rush at check-in time. Location is good as it is close to a couple Underground lines and a 15 minute walk to Padington Station (where the Heathrow Express train ends).
Cons: No Air Conditioning. Room was on the 3rd floor and the heat was almost stifling. Surprising given outside the temps were only in the mid 70's (F). They provided a fan, which made it bearable. They also limited the amount the window opened, making it very hard to get in fresh air. I would stay there again, but only when it is very cool out.

Pros: Close to everything. Beds were okay for one night (we bought sleeping bags after reading all the reviews and i suggest you do the same).
Cons: Dirty, incredibly loud street noise but you have to keep the window open because it's so hot and stuffy and there's no fan. Black mold in the bathroom. Fine for one night and only if you're used to hostels or traveling on the super cheap.
