Awful
The location was convenient. The hotel room was quiet.
The bed was awful, felt like sleeping on springs, very hard. The bathroom was a joke. I had to spend time reattaching the bath hardware as it came off when I tried to use it. There wasn't one part of the shower that was acceptable. The shower head wouldn't stand up, pieces were falling off so I had to use it as a hand shower. This hotel is in serious need of updating. Everything is worn out, stained and terribly cleaned. Surfaces were obviously not cleaned thoroughly often as you could see the dirt. Overall I was quite grossed out by the whole experience and would never stay at this particular Doubletree again.
close to Victoria Station.
Way over priced room, but very close to Victoria Station. Lobby is dark and depressing, room was better than lobby. clean and comfortable. Problems with shower draining. Breakfast buffet was average, fruit was not fresh.
Across the street from Victoria Station
Staff went out of their way to provide prompt and courteous service. The location is right across the street form a major train station and access to Circle and District subway lines. Rooms were modern and clean. Breakfast was ... expansive... the classic British breakfast. The restaurant and bar were comfortable. The concierge gave us a great tip to a nice Indian restaurant within easy walking distance.
Frosted glass door on the bathroom means that if you turn on the bathroom light in middle of the night you wake up your partner as well.
Great value
Clean room, pleasant attentive staff, extensive breakfast buffet.
Crossing the street to get to the taxi stand can be hazardous
excellent location
Exceptional location. Nothing else exceptional
Location, cleanliness, breakfast selection, room.
wifi not included in rooms.
Pleasant atmosphere with polite helpful staff, bright and pleasant reception area, room light and cheerful.
The location is excellent for speedy access to the main attractions in London. The room was a good size.
When we arrived (at about 4pm) there were no quiet double rooms left unless we upgraded, which I thought was poor. The pillows were much too big for me. I tried ringing reception to see if there were alternatives; I held on for ages but the phone was never answered. In the end I phoned room service and they sorted me out. The room was far too warm and the air conditioning did not sufficiently cool it. At reception they told me that the weather had been unusually warm which had taken them by suprise, but in my view they should have been able to sort it out. The breakfast is good but extremenly expensive; I would have liked fresh brown bread.
Near Central London, and close to Chelsea and cadogan Hall (concert)
The price - too expensive
Excellent location which why we had booked again
Very small room considering what we paid, we previously considered the hotel good value but not anymore, we even had breakfasts at Victoria as the prices for that were prohibitive.
nothing particullary
the electricity plug for shaver was out of order
Central location. Hotel looked great and the room was very clean, spacious and had lots of facilities- iron/tea/coffee/sports channels/trouser press/ shower and bath/fridge/air con
apart from our fridge not working and we could not get our heating to work it was all great
The location was very good for many local attractions
A little noisy ouitside, but hey what can you expect next to a train station?
quick check in and rooms clean and with goodfacilities
Could be noisy as adjacent to railway station
It was really nice, clean and modern. I would definitely stay there again.
every all ok
except recently you are not providing tooth brush anymore.
