Pros: The staff was wonderful. We were showed the room and made sure we knew where everything was. They wanted to know what we were planning and had very helpful suggestions. The room had modern amenities, seemed to have been redone recently. Beds were very comfortable. rooms were exceptionally clean. Because of the hot springs, there is a smell of sulfur in the air, but it DID NOT permeate into the rooms if the windows were closed. Cons: Far from town - had to use taxis to get to sights we wanted to visit. Not a huge problem, but this did add cost to what already was an expensive hotel. (But being out of town did have the advantage of avoiding the sulphur odor of parts of Rotorua.)

9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved the buffet breakfast, the pool, spa, staff and the room. We pretty much loved everything about our stay here.
Cons: The only thing that was a little off was the duvet. We had the sheets over but whenever it came down we could see the inner blanket and it had stains. Although you can tell its clean, but the stains ruin it.
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was simple and good.
Cons: Staffs look tired all the time
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Upon check in we were welcomed with a warm embrace. Staff in all areas were amazing especially the staff at reception! First impressions are important and they really displayed that. Hotel rooms were extremely comfortable especially the pillows, the view as well as the room service were extremely amazing! Would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends and will be returning again on our next trip!
Cons: The showers were a bit small and squashy and the price paid for the dinner was too overrated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffett was wonderful. Lounge area by the bar very comfy.
Cons: A better reception door to minimise the effects of the winter weather on people standing at the reception desk.
7.5 Good

5.7 Okay

8.8 Excellent
Cons: You need to provide dental kit and dryer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room, helpful staff, perfect location for us nearby to some great tourist spots. When we asked to extend our stay by two nights it was organised for us immediately and to stay in the same room.
Cons: It was a shame that we were only told on the third morning that there was a $16 breakfast special option which we weren't aware of before. Also the bathroom floor is freezing cold at night despite the heating in the room - bit of a shock for bare feet!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Central location Always friendly staff
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant and bar under one roof
Cons: Probably the room a bit tight and fridge a bit too low. Great location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hot pool and it's in the city centre.
7.5 Good
Cons: Happy Hour in the Bar should make you happy! In this hotel the Happy Hour is just used to attract more business. But there is no difference in price. At the same moment you hear all guest talk about this happy hour... "Due to law we cannot..." was the reply of the kind manager. My advise, stop it and try to massage the brains of the guests in another way...that meets expectations
9.3 Excellent
Pros: From a personal perspective id stay, staff friendly, has resturant and bar and character as well as located very centrally .... But only in the above rooms. While in bottom rooms could hear loudly people walking above me
Cons: Context: I was on business, i carry thousands $ worth of stock on board. I need off street parking to minimise possible break in. The hotel only has a tiny area out back so difficult to manuevour and only few off street parks available. I asked staff i did really need an allocated park they said " meh, first in first served" Also im tired at end of each day so i look forward to watching as many sky channels offered, 3 or 4 that you have allocated to the bottom room/s is not acceptable compared to your lower end competition. On these two points i wont be back when i come into area every six weeks. Attention to detail, as you are pushing Boutique : Rubbish bin not emptied from last occupant, bathroom air vent needs cleaning asap as huge chunks of dust accumulated bit yuck. Bathroom basin plug leaks water, i had to keep tap going to keep water level so could finish shaving. Shower head black either needs cleaning with CLR or replaced.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very cool place, old fashion and sparkling clean
Cons: The cleaners would just open the door and walk in if there was no sign to not disturb and neither requesting cleaning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was better than I expected. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We didn't get to stay in the Victorian building but our room was still great with many extras to make the stay comfortable....the beds were the best I think I have experienced in any hotel!
Cons: It was all very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was clean and of historical nature. Some interior decoration revived to high standard but accommodation rather weary and some of the rooms too small. A decent upgrade throughout would be advantageous.
Cons: Sitting by the big log fire in the open lounge area with large comfy seating was a highlight.

6.8 Good
Pros: Affordable Great location
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable A/C had limited cooling
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Vilhad was an exceptional night Porter. For some reason, my sheets were dirty. I called up at 9:30 pm expecting an attitude. Instead he came up, assured me this was not their standard (everything else was immaculate), and must be due the laundrer. I believe this especially because when he got fresh sheets right off the rack some of them were similar. He was extremely personable, charming and taught me how to set sheets "hotel style.". He really went above and beyond, including assuring me that this problem with the company they sent the sheets out to would be taken care of immediately. Besides this gorgeous view, comfy beds, beautiful rooms.
