Pros: There was no room on executive lounge for breakfast but we were seated on the 10th floor which was actually better. Breakfast was decent and service was lovely. The Spa facility was nice too, quite basic and small but cute, clean and better than nothing. The roof top bar was definitely a bonus too but be sure to reserve a table as gets really busy on the weekend.

Pros: After reading so many reviews I was expecting bit more from this hotel. I felt like its somewhere between 4 star to 4.5 star hotel. I didn't have too many complaints, everything was smooth from check in and out taking only 30 seconds to comfortable beds etc but i think having lived in other 5 star hotels it felt like little bit less than I was desiring for.

Pros: We were let down by booking via Amoma and not realising we had lost our previous booking and money due to the company collapsing. Having a quick search on booking.com and the Montcalm came to our rescue. Perfectly located and good value for a last minute panic when we found ourself stranded in London without anywhere to stay at 9pm!

Pros: The hotel was trendy, modern and comfortable. Located only ten minutes walk to Liverpool Street station the location was very easy to get to and handy to bars in Shoreditch. The staff were all incredibly polite and helpful and made the room extra special for my patterns birthday. The room comes with mood lighting, a scent and a Nespresso machine. The aviary rooftop bar has a cool vibe with a DJ at the weekend & great views of London.

The roof top bar was definitely a bonus too but be sure to reserve a table as gets really busy on the weekend.
Cons: We tried to reserve a space on roof top bar when we booked but no one got back to us so we didn't end up getting a table. I also think the room should be left with more water or at least each floor have a water/ice machine but this is only a mild suggestion rather than necessity.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything was very clean. Nothing was to much trouble .
Cons: It was odd that we played bar game on the fri evening and my husband was given the sliders no problem, but when our guest (who was staying in the hotel too) went to play on the sat night he was asked to leave a £10 deposit .

Pros: Bed really comfy, room spacious and very clean, excellent on site facilities. Rooftop bar was fantastic.
Cons: Our room was on the 9th floor, underneath the rooftop bar - we were not advised of this on arrival and found it hard to get to sleep for the noise. Spa area was looking a little tired.

Cons: No window in room but ok i guess
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean, polite staff
Cons: Extra extra small rooms with NO WINDOWS!!!??? Very very claustrophobic...
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location was perfect for me
Cons: Room was insanity small. I usually stay at M Hotel a few doors away but couldn’t get a room. Z Hotel was an option close to where I needed to be. The value of this room is similar to what I pay at M Hotel. Not good value and I won’t be back. That room size was ridicules.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: My first stay at a Z Hotel, and booked on the recommendation of a colleague who stays regularly. Check-in was quick & easy, with friendly & approachable staff. The cleverly designed room was very clean and well presented and contains all you need for a night or two in the city.
Cons: The bed is a snug fit in the room, so if you're tall you may find yourself bumping into the walls when you turn over.
Radio is via an app on smart tv, so there's no way to turn the screen off if you want to fall asleep with it on in the background, also couldn't get the sleep function on TV to work.
Whilst good value for location, it's not much cheaper than a conventional hotel.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very conveniently located close to Old Street station. Very clean and modern. Complimentary wine & cheese! Comfortable beds. Terrific value. No fuss check-in and check-out. Super quick.
Cons: Rooms are a tad small - but they are well designed.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The location is good.
Cons: Rooms are very small with rock hard beds. There were clumps of hair in the shower and blowing around on the floor. There are no phones in the room so I had to dial using the external number to contact reception. I can't recommend this hotel at all!

Pros: We were only there for an overnight after a long haul flight, but found the hotel to be comfortable and the breakfast excellent. The staff were considerate and helpful when we encountered a problem with our room.
Cons: The first room we were allocated had a pungent smell which meant we simply couldn't stay in it. We were then moved next door, only to find that once the window had been closed the same smell built up in the room. We only discovered this after an evening in the bar with our son, so were eventually moved at 11.30pm to an upgraded room. All a bit inconvenient, but the problem was well handled by staff and we eventually got a comfortable night's sleep.
7.0 Good
Pros: Good bed and bathroom
Cons: Had a connecting door with VERY noisy neighbours coming in late including 4.30am Monday morning. Rang reception who partially sorted it out.

Pros: Comfort and location
Cons: I request to be on the fifth floor and i got a room ont the third floor overviewed on a building wall
8.0 Excellent
Pros: GOOD
Cons: One staff at reception was unfriendly when i asked her about the access card was not working for lounge. I needed to take tea or breakfast. But rather than helping, she asked me to bring identity card etc. I had no time, so i left the hotel without breakfast. In the evening someone else helped me and urgently checked the card and rectified problem. I am surprised, if card was not working why the staff needed to see once again my passport etc which was in the room and i needed extra time to go to room and bring the passport to show her. when my card already was issued for the room, but had some issue at lounge access.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great place, great location
Cons: The room was little for 3 people
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location. Staff helpful and friendly.
Cons: Room for 3 was small and felt cramped for 3 adults. Towels and tea and coffee were supplied for only 2 adults. Couldnt contact reception and house keeping by phone so had to go down to reception to request these.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent by comparison to other venues in London. This is a truly good hotel.
Cons: There was a little smell in the room where I stayed at.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was clean and tidy, the bathroom was very clean. The girl on the desk was very welcoming and the cleaners were also very friendly.
Cons: The bed headboard was worn out. On leaving we noticed the whole floor was being renovated. Therefore I'd imagine the bed would be replaced. All in all though, quite satisfactory.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was comfy
Cons: The food we had was really disappointing in the restaurant! My daughter had soup which was really tasteless and watery! She couldn’t have the bread to go with it as we were told it had nuts in, ( she is allergic to nuts) My aubergine dish was quite tasteless. The chips were undercooked. The spinach and green beans were delicious!
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Bad cancellation policy. Still dont even know if it was cancelled. Was told i would be contacted about a week ago and havent had the time to call them yet again. They never called or emailed me back.

Pros: This place is really good if you travel on budget. They have a spatious kitchen with all appliances including oven, so you can cook proper food (and save on expensive restaurants) They also have storage in the fridge and for dry grocery. They organize tacos Tuesday, pizza Friday's and other events which is really nice. Would be cool to see a movie night or something like that there. Also they have a good space where you can stay and work with your laptop, if you would wish to (and save on expensive coffee shops)

Pros: The reception were delightful and helpful! They kindly moved me to a quiet room off the main road at my request. The room itself was basic and clean, but that's all I wanted and the price was right for it! My friends were staying at the Rosewood for our friends Wedding. I don't see the point in spending hundreds of pounds when you are hardly in the hotel room anyway.

Pros: Great location. Great facilities Comfortable rooms Nice food
Cons: We asked for family or adjoining rooms( as we had 3 kids with us ) 9 months in advance. Was informed straight away there was no adjoining rooms but they would do their best. So I rang again a week before I arrived to check again on rooms together. When we got there our rooms were not together and they said there was nothing they could do as they dont have many family rooms and they are not together. But looking at the map of rooms I didn't see a size difference for a family room to regular room. So was disappointed.

Cons: Once we had set our budget, our expectations were tailored accordingly. So, for that reason only, there's nothing we didn't like.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything was terrible: staff, communication, location, hygiene, rooms... they were so tiny that you could wash your feet, pee and brush your teeth at the same time. No communication whatsoever, no answer to our complaints. Nobody at the reception during opening hours. SHAME. Never again!!!

Pros: Great location in North London. It is 5 minutes walking from Tufnell Park tube station and 10 minutes from Holloway road where you can get several buses to the downtown. The staff are very nice and friendly.
Cons: The wifi might work better and the water pressure of the shower should be stronger.

There was one lady doing everything from reception to cooking breakfast, she was really kind and nice.
Cons: The only thing was that the wifi really wasn't working at all, we are at the first floor so I am not sure if there were many people on it although the location was very good and reception strong or they just turned off because around 10 am when everyone was gone, wi-fi worked perfectly. We were on the 1st floor so, in the morning, you could smell toast from the toasters.

4.6 Okay
Pros: Close to underground. Local to Sainsbury's.
Cons: Overall, our experience was very negative. We were left outside the B&B for about 20 minutes when we first arrived after ring the bell a couple of times. I assumed no one was in, so I called the number provided by the hotel on my booking confirmation. I got through to the manager who told me to ring the bell again and that he would contact the receptionist who was in. Rang the bell again, and the receptionist answered. Everything was fine, she then got a call from the manager while we were checking in. Her attitude completely changed when she got off the phone, and wouldn't listen when we said we were ringing the bell for 20 minutes and that's why we called. She told us we didn't ring the bell. My partner apologised to keep the peace and off we went to our room. On the final night of our stay, we wanted to make a mug of tea in the kitchen. My partner went to make it and found the receptionist was also in the kitchen. He asked if it would be alright to make tea, and she was very dismissive and rude, saying it wasn't allowed and only at breakfast. She was very unprofessional in how she addressed him and made him very uncomfortable. Once she "gave us permission", my partner had gotten the hot water and was looking for the milk. He asked her and she kept saying that she "told him already" and that it was upstairs at reception in the machine. She raised her voice at him and at this point, he just returned to our room without milk as he felt very uncomfortable about the whole confrontation. If guests aren't allowed in the kitchen during the day/night, why not just place a kettle in each room? We felt so unwelcome and unwanted at the Five Kings Hotel that we were excited to check out. It impacted our trip a lot and I hope the hotel use this review to improve the conditions of the B&B. We do not recommend this B&B.
5.8 Okay
Pros: It was cheap for being bank holiday in London and the location was good, 20 min walk to Camden and the bus stop about 5-10 min away, the area was lovely
Cons: The shower was inside the room and the toilet room was very small. The doors were always slamming even when you didn't wanted, walls a bit too thin. If you lose your key the amount that you need to pay I personally found it a bit excessive £100. Breakfast it's ok, I would might, reduce the basic breakfast and improve the full English as it was bacon ,eggs and beans (not very form them) and they didn't asked you if you wanted the eggs in any way, they were dry everyday. The reception wasn't open 24h, it isn't a problem but it would be helpful. However, it's alright for what your pay.

Pros: Close location to railway station very small for two
Cons: Small for two and no lift we were on the third floor very noisy at night
5.0 Okay
Pros: Hotel reception was very friendly and welcoming
Cons: The hotel is very run down, dirty carpets in the halls, poor lighting and maintenance required. No Lift.
6.7 Good
Pros: The location is great. It's okay for a night.
Cons: Wasn't really sparkling clean. Found a short hair here and there that was definitely there upon arrival. Wouldn't stay here for longer because the room was really tiny (pretty much only consisted of a bed) but if you're looking for a stay for a night, this will do just fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Although the rooms are quiet tiny, they are really clean and value for the price you pay. I was given a small room which upon my request was changed to a slightly larger one by the gentleman at the front desk! Very very kind staff!
Cons: Pretty small room with barely any space to fit in suitcases.

7.5 Good
Pros: Location is perfect if you commute by train. Staff is very friendly. You can leave your luggage at the reception after the checkout and pick up later.
Cons: Rooms are really small. Bedsheets are clean but the place is just very old and everything is stained over time. It just needs a renovation. But for the price, you get what you pay for.

Pros: Close to train station
Cons: Very noisy continuously and all through the night. Could not sleep. Windows did not shut.
4.8 Okay
Pros: The location is good. There is a subway station as well as the bus stop close by a few restaurants around.
Cons: The room is tiny and barely fits a bed. Our suitcases took the rest of the floor. In the bathroom of us even tinier, that was a mini sink, which too close to toilet. The shower was even smaller there was barely any space to turn around.
6.0 Good
Pros: Nothing that I particularly liked about the breakfast, sorry
Cons: Very poor buffet in a poorly tasted space. At least the room could be more pleasant and better decorated

Pros: Clean and central - sta
Cons: Paying to watch tv and access to WI-FI at the rate I paid most hotels accept its essential - Also having to go to reception to get a hairdryer was annoying
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff very helpful and courteous
Cons: Cold shower!!! Paying for TV
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Rom was the size of a double bed. Nowhere to put your stuff. Floor was dirty, so it dirtied the bed when you got in it. And very expensive for what it was. Very depressing place to stay
6.7 Good
Pros: The neighbourhood with lot of restaurants and it’s 5 min from the underground.
Cons: The bathroom ventilation was not working the whole stay our room smells like mould and always moist.... payed for the television service and was not working... the room has almost zero signal for me to use my own mobile data....... the whole room was not big but the problem was more about storage.... no place to put the towel and our bags/stuff; bath room layout too inconvenient that after the shower is impossible to not wet the whole floor.
7.9 Good
Pros: Clean and fairly comfortable, and in a easy location for the square mile. OK if you just need a bed for the night.
Cons: Budget hotel...but maybe a little too budget. It costs extra to use the TV or leave a bag for a few hours after checkout, and no free WiFi means it's pretty hard to justify staying again.
6.8 Good
Pros: Compact, terrific location, nicely presented.
Cons: So utterly loud. The room faced the street and all night long you hear drunk people outside.
The bed was not terribly comfortable and because the shower is in the room, it fills up with steam quickly which makes the entire place muggy.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location.
Cons: I wouldn't call this a room. Rather a bed with a bathroom, as there is nothing else in there. Staff was awful, although I was there early and ready to pay early-check-in charge, they only let me in to the room at 12:00. (Cleaning staff arrived at 10:00 so they could have easily cleaned and handed over the room by 10:20 latest.) Then they did not manage to issue a proper invoice about the room and additional charges, as of today I haven't received it, although would need it for my expense claim.
6.0 Good
Pros: Basic room at a good price.
Cons: Small and all extras are $+++
4.2 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed in a convenient and pleasant city neighbourhood.
Cons: No television
No table or nghtstand
Not even a plastic cup for toothbrush etc
I accept that the concept is basic but this is way below the 'basic' offering of something like IBIS budget, and the difference with more established standard hotels was only £50 which led me to expect more in future would rather pay the difference.
If you're a backpacker or use hostels this will feel fine but not a business traveler who finds this included on their company hotel list.
4.0 Okay
Pros: How clean and new and convenient it was
Cons: Tv did not work again. No hot water on day 1
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Everything - compete at the same level as the other budget hotels.
Cons: This is not even a budget hotel! no tea and coffee in the rooms, you have to book hair dryer, the room and halls smelt horrible.
7.1 Good
Pros: It is very central to London, and priced competitively.
Cons: Very dusty, and there were hairs around that weren’t ours...

Cons: No staff at all bad comunication with the customer bathroom was bad aswell
4.2 Okay
Pros: The location is alright.
Cons: Had to hold my breath in the staircase because it was really stinky. We did not feel very comfortable in the accommodation. The bathroom was not nearly as clean as in the pictures. We actually booked for 3 nights but left after the first night to stay somewhere else. Also, there was no wifi even though the description said there would be. When I contacted the host about it he did not respond. Overall pretty hideous. Do not recommend.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: We were told to bring towels only on the eve of our arrival. When we reached the booked address it was like entering in a horror movie. All dark, No door bell and everything was left like it was abandoned. When contacting the owner he send us a message to go to another address, when we reached it no one answered and via sms he told us that the key is under the carpet. After some time to find the key, a person came and he gave us the room , went up with our luggages 2 storeys stairs , (no lift available) and found a small room with no wardrobes, just two double beds a microwave and a kettle and non functional tv set. Far from the one we've seen on booking.com. Handymen were in the guesthouse at all times of the day, moving furniture, drilling and banging on the walls. As for our departure after sending the owner an sms to check whether we could leave our luggages in the room until 3pm since our flight was late, no one answered although it was seen and when we came back into our room to check our we found everything outside together with the rubbish and the linen on the floor in the corridor, and a person doing the beds. In an arrogant way he told us that he has no time and he wanted to continue to do the room because others were coming.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: I never met the host at all.
Cons: No towels as advertised. When I insisted the host hung two towels on my room door while we were asleep at night. No personal contact or apology from the host. Felt very unwelcomed & disrespected. Shower area flooded, shower head was broken, taped & leaking. Water pressure too low to take a proper bath.

Pros: good location
Cons: leaking tap
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service overall
Cons: The location on the map is very tricky to find

Pros: Cheap property, you get what you pay for
Cons: This guesthouse no wifi, tea/coffee or even towels. We have to buy our own toiletries. We stayed for three nights, there was no cleaning during our stay. Faulty power sockets and lights in our room. While visiting London with friends and planning on budget, this place may be acceptable. I wouldn't recommend this place for families or kids. You get what you pay for

Pros:
Cons: No reply on question, no wifi, no towel and No supports on staying. Even the room has changed just arrived due to no keys. Water dropped from ceiling when the shower upstairs.
