Pros: Breakfast Room Service (as restaurant was not open before I had to leave).
Cons: Everything else - courteous, but very unhelpful staff in resolving issues and making guests feel comfortable. Slow service - room not available on time - view from the room was looking at steampipes. One of my most disappointing hotel stays compared to expectations (and I visit London 6-10x annually).
Room was old (it was clean) and not up to date for a luxury hotel.

Pros: The hotel's very central and a walking distance from many attractions - even in the cold winter weather. Museums, Harrods, high-end shopping and parks are all very near.
The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, available 24/7. We had an early flight back so checked out of the room and left early (6am) - we were greeted upon departure with take-away coffee and tea, along with fruits and pastries. Literally left good taste in our mouths as we left the hotel. We'll surely return to the Thompson on our next visit to London!

Cons: Facilities and staff at hotel superb. Just the room could have been a little larger. It looked as though it should have been a single room but had another bed added. For what we paid, had we confirmed the booking at point of booking it would have been quite a lot cheaper

Pros: The staff were excellent, very attentive and polite. Really great location.

Cons: There were some problems. The internet was either slow or absent. We were told the walls are thick and "...they're working on it." This is a business and it is unacceptable to struggle to get a speedy connection.I doubt that this was a new problem. I spent hours trying to use the slow connection and for this reason will not go back. The bell person who took up our luggage didn't tell us anything about regulating the heat and the lights and it wasn't intuitive. The control panel on the wall doesn't regulate the radiators. You have to turn them off or on. We couldn't figure out the lights either so we had to wait for a shower until someone came and showed us a master switch. No clock or radio in the room. TV stations were limited; BBC1, BBC2, Bloomberg Britain and old American shows; no finance channels like CNBC, no current movies. The was however the Financial Times in the library.

Pros: Marble floor bathroom. Large reception area to check in.
Cons: A light snack meal at the Park Room restaurant is real expensive. Would have been 3 to 4 times more expensive than a similar hotel in USA. A cup of coffee, a small 10 oz orange juice, three hamberger of 2 inch diameterand a cup of soup costed USD$70.

Cons: I ordered double room for 2 nights. The payment was made in advance. Nevertheless when I arrived I was explained that double room was unavailable for 1st night, and I was offered the single room instead for the same price. Next day I happily moved to the double room. Cons: Certain areas and carpets were showing a bit of wear. But overall very very nice stay.
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was good
Cons: The bathroom was so antiquated .I had to fill the bath on several occasions as the the plug was no longer functioning. It took many minutes to obtain hot water. The bath itself had cracks and mould around the sides. The breakfast was abysmal with only a small selection available. My partner had chosen baked beans which she ate but told me that they were cold. I chose some scrambled eggs which smelt like fish, this I mentioned to the waiter who informed the chef who claimed that this is the smell you get from pasteurized eggs. I cannot remember this odour having eaten pasteurized eggs on several occasions. I think they have seriously overcharged for what they have offered. I will never return to this hotel ever again.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Rude racist staff. Old shabby hotel. Feels like a 2* property. The manager and reception staff was very rude. Would never see a Hilton again in my life.
7.0 Good
Pros: Orange juice machine.
Cons: The breakfast lets the hotel down and does not match standards of a 5 stars hotel in London. Breakfast staff seemed untrained and inexperienced. Food was not varied and it was difficult to understand how it needed to be ordered. It all seemed very disorganised . Tables were not prepared and nobody seemed to be attending them . Staying with two people coming from abroad , very embarrassing . Someone should be overseeing the staff .
8.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast. front desk was very nice. Room service was excellent. the housekeepers were very nice, but cleaned the minimal.
Cons: the room needs to be redone. the paint on the molding is cracking, the furniture is very old, curtains stained.

Pros: Cheerful and quick responding staff
Cons: Permanently locked Balcony door . Though, I could understand the safety aspects, but then, what’s the purpose of the balcony if one can’t enter ?

Cons:
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The view the cleanliness of the hotel and all its facilities
Cons: The way they work the bill, find it strange how you have you "pay" for the room and an extra £80 I think it worked out just encase I took anything from the mini bar or room service, then on checkout charge you again. So basically pay twice, then apparently have to wait 5-7 working days for you 1st payment to be refunded, I cant see how that works at all and wasnt properly explained at all during check in /out.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, clean an friendly
Cons: Shower could with updating as leaking. An that once security opened room to balcony could nor shut again.

Cons: nothing at this price
4.6 Okay
Pros: Great location. Fairly quiet. Tea kettle in the room with complementary coffee and tea was great. Good heating/air con.
Cons: Really really small rooms! The smallest hotel room I’ve stayed in ever. Rooms with Windows cost more, but the Windows can’t be opened. If you are tall your feet will crash in the shower cabinet.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything look tidy and clean. The water, coffe, hot chocolate and tea was perfect before going out to the streets. Also very nice towels, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly and cheese and wine was great...sadly we could only enjoy it 1 day because we were all days walking around the city.
Cons: I didn't like it was not perfectly clean. There was a lot of dust on top of the surface surrounding the bed. You coud literally write on it. Also previous time, the shower was perfectly clean, not this time, hairs and other things all around...also cold water was not working, so only could shower under boiling water, which was actually painful and instead of enjoying my shower I was desperate to finish and get out. The door of the shower was not moving easily, could not be easily opened from inside, that can be dangerous as it could break and damage anyone. A few things looked older than it should, a bit of too used. They should repair this kind of things, when you pay high price you only expect the best. It was excellent in general, but small details counts, they make the difference.
6.0 Good
Pros: Customer service great, but fuse outlet wasn't working pro
Cons: The bathroom is tight with glass walls not appropriate when traveling with child my son had to turn around while I showered!
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Mugs were dirty and stained, very hard mattress and way too soft pillows! Me and my sister had terrible back and neck pains because of it! There was only body wash product for two people? Staff did not mention anything about breakfast or the complementary cheese/drinks until I asked where could I get food from or what time we had to check out by!?? There was a buzzing noise that sounded often throughout the night! Rather annoying. There was no phones on the room to call reception. Overall.... way too expensive for what it is!

Cons: Very compact
6.0 Good
Pros: Very good with checking in early and was organized.
Cons: The shower was an issue. Someone helped me fix it but still had problems. It wouldn't adjust the temperature.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The location was good, the room was very clean, and bed was quite comfortable.
Cons: The reason for my overall negative ranking was that the room was smaller than a matchbox. It was so tiny that if our suitcase was open on the floor we couldn't get from the bed to the bathroom. One could perch on the bed, but otherwise there was nowhere to sit. (There was a stool, but no room to pull it out.) If there were only one person staying, with a tiny bag, it might have been feasible, though very depressing, to stay there.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to Victoria Station and a wonderful complimentary wine and cheese each evening!
Cons: The bed is literally against two walls so you must climb over the other person to get in or out of bed - better suited for one person.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the staff very much. Hotel employee at check-in was very efficient and lobby staff were very quick to help me with my bags or call me a cab. I loved the location, best of both worlds, close to the shops and on a beautiful park.
Cons: YES ! THE BED !!! I am still nursing an injured knee. The bed was too big for the room plus it had a frame which took up even more space from the room. Other than that it was a comfortable mattress and nice quiet room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location is great. Good breakfast a la carte. Staff is great. Nice comfortable beds. Overall good cleaning
Cons: The toilets of the 1st floor are really small and difficult to even move in it. Gym is a old to be a 5 star hotel

Pros: Executive Lounge, Nespresso machine in room (one bed suite)
Cons: Elevators constantly being refurbished; bad internet; arriving late at night and not having our designated room (one bed suite) despite having called up the day before to advise hotel of our late arrival.

Pros: Non!
Cons: No access for push chair, not children friendly, no parking place to drop off your luggages, you have to cross the road with your luggages and your push chair if you have children come with you! Towels are not clean! Several marks on the towels and they even didn’t change the towels after the last guest checking out, because there are few hairs on the towels! Bedding is not clean! There are Oil marks and last guest hairs on the sheets! I even doubt that if they changed the bedding sheets? It’s really unacceptable as a 4 start hotel in Central London! Rooms are very small, I even can’t push my push chair into the room! Won’t come again!

Cons: The service in the bar area by the restaurant was slow, took over 20 minutes to order a drink. There was also a power, however, this could happen at any time. The main issue was there was no hot water on Sunday morning. All they said was sorry it happens.

Pros: It was my birthday and when I got back for the day I had a generous slice of very good birthday cake and a hand written card. Thoughtful and classy touch.
Cons: Too pricey for a hotel which hasn't been renovated in a while. Old shower with no handle. Good size room but very plain decoration for a 5☆ hotel. At check-in, they asked us whether we wanted double beds instead of a king size. We said yes and they gave us a virtual upgrade. When we came back late in the evening, we had to wait for the keys and were given a room with a single bed. Breakfast buffet, at 28£, in a 5☆ hotel, was pretty modest and with not much variety. Have been staying in several hotels in the same area, the same time of the year, for 10 consecutive years and this was a bit of a disappointment.

Pros: Great location , friendly staff and had aa excellent meal in the restaurant pre theatre .
Cons: Very poor bar facilities for a hotel of this standing. After our visit to the theatre we looked forward to a few drinks in the bar. Waited 10 mins to order and waited 20 mins for the drinks to arrive ! Also would mention room was nice but bathroom needs a refurb !
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and excellent location.
Cons: Its the third year ive been and each time ive thought it could do with a re-furb. Think its about time but still keep it traditional.

Pros: I enjoy boutique hotels. The staff was fine. Very professional. Internet was pretty good. The breakfast had a nice variety of options. The neighborhood is awesome. Beautiful architecture, plenty of local options for restaurants, pubs and shopping.
Cons: The hotel is a little tired. They need to spend some money cleaning up the wood trim. It is unnecessarily scratched up. The mattress was too firm and TV was lousy. The room was small and difficult to work in.

Pros: The location is excellent. The breakfast was outstanding. The rooms are clean but a bit small. The shower was great with plenty of hot water. The room had a hair dryer but no iron. Straight behind the hotel is a movie theater and several great restaurants close by. I loved the Kings Arms Pub.
Cons: I only had I think 10-12 tv stations and no cable news. The internet was ok but it went down for a full day. They said they were trying to repair it and it took 24 hrs. The room was a bit warm, it was November so I thought I would open the window. It was screwed closed. The lights on the front of the hotel would shine into the room at night. Even with the curtains it was BRIGHT! Spent 4 nights.
