Pros: This is my second stay at Savoy London. I am not exaggerate if I said that this hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever visit. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, attentive and professional. Very clean and big space in the room and the bathroom with full facilities. The interior, architecture in the hotel are awesome. I am very grateful to the hotel’s team whom made me feel that I am at my home and between my family. My deep thanks to Gregg from the concierge team for helping me in following up and solving an issue happened with taxi payment. He is so professional and did it with full care. My Grateful to Marta in the front desk and the luggage master Lukazs. My sincere appreciation to everyone. The hotel worths every penny!

Pros: the whole ambiance of the Savoy the tradition, the courtesy of all staff and food not over priced, love the afternoon teas
Cons: the room was too hot not able to open window and the constant drone of the vent in the bathroom, shower door a bit too close as you open door to enter room, collides with shoulder as you enter bathroom, please try to make more visible. didn't like the long walk from the lifts to our room as not being of the younger set walking is a little too much but not a big problem

Cons: I wish we could have had a regular top sheet and light blanket on our bed instead of a down quilt ( at the beginning of September!) -- just too hot for that time of year.

Pros:
Cons: The room is small and the building is old. Can't open the windows and there is no air vent in the bathroom so ventilation was a problem for us. We paid over AUD $400 per night for 6 nights and in highsight it was not value for money.

Pros: Location is great. Good room sizes for central London. Large bathrooms. Quiet location (slept one night with my balcony door open).
Cons: Hotel was very warm in the room and in common areas.
The hotel also tried to overcharge us for breakfast (charged the whole group for deluxe breakfasts when we intentionally just ordered a la carte. Business travelers on an expense account probably don't bother with arguing with first the waiter and then a supervisor.
Staff repeatedly gave incorrect information about nearby road closures for various parades.

At Kimpton Fitzroy London, we have stories galore to tell. From the outside, the palatial 19th-century landmark building, which occupies a full block in Bloomsbury, looks the part of grande dame. Inside are contemporary creature comforts like roomy, art-filled suites with views over Russell Square, a cocktail bar that keeps the Negronis flowing, and a come-as-you-are coffee shop just steps from the Tube. All of these details beckon modern travelers to settle in and stay a while.

Pros: The whole hotel is beautiful and interesting, like something out of Upstairs, Downstairs. Our room was especially lovely, with a canopy bed, marble bathroom and all the amenities.
Cons: The cost of eating or drinking in the hotel was unbelievably high. We ate breakfast there one day but quickly learned that a Manger, nearby, had better food for much less money.
6.2 Good
Pros: The location was excellent on Russell Square with a Cafe Nero and Pret a Manger next door. The breakfast was excellent and I would highly recommend adding that to your package. The bathrooms were some of the largest I have seen in Europe.
Cons: The staff at Hotel Russell did not measure up to the overall customer service I experienced in England as a whole. They are less than accommodating to guests who booked through discount websites and treat guests who booked directly with them better. The interior is very dated and needs renovation. My friends room on the first night had a very strong cleaning chemical odor. It was unbearable for them because they have some sensitivities. The hotel was unable to move them to another room and we ended up switching rooms with them. The wifi at this hotel is spotty at best. I would not refuse to stay at this hotel again but I would probably avoid it.

Cons: Although the shower was the most beautiful I had ever seen, there was an issue with the drain not doing its job so it flooded the bathroom..but I flagged the issue and they took care of it right away. Gave 8/10 because of that issue, otherwise it is a 10
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional staff, made to feel very welcome throughout the stay
Cons: Would like to have been notified that you needed to make a reservation in the bar
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very well located, 2 minutes away from Russell Sq tube station. Staff is kind and always willing to help. The hotel is beautifully decorated, especially at Xmas. Good buffet breakfast. Beautiful night bar open till late. Different areas and a nice café inside the hotel if you need to work or want to chill.
Cons: Individual room very small. Breakfast gets very crowded with long lines. Some waiters clearly need more training/supervision.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, this hotel was probably my favorite of any hotels I have ever stayed in.
Cons: No, the hotel was incredible.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Customer service was excellent and the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel rooms. Also location was a big plus.
Cons:
At Kimpton Fitzroy London, we have stories galore to tell. From the outside, the palatial 19th-century landmark building, which occupies a full block in Bloomsbury, looks the part of grande dame. Inside are contemporary creature comforts like roomy, art-filled suites with views over Russell Square, a cocktail bar that keeps the Negronis flowing, and a come-as-you-are coffee shop just steps from the Tube. All of these details beckon modern travelers to settle in and stay a while.
A stay at St Martins Lane places you in the heart of London, within a 5-minute walk of Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square. Featured amenities include a business center, limo/town car service, and express check-in.

Pros: Perfect location and the staff were amazing. So friendly and always smiling - nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and light. The bed was very comfortable and free bottle waters were a nice touch. Amazing en-suite, nice powerful shower.
Cons: I didn't like the perfume pumped through the air-con in the corridors and bedrooms. Infact we had to be moved as I suffer from asthma and it was effecting my breathing to a none perfumed floor (5) and room. The corridors are too dark, felt like a ship..

Pros: Location was perfect for London tourism (safe and within walking distance of everywhere). The hotel concierges and another gentleman whose name I didn''t catch were extremely helpful!
Cons: The desk chair legs (room 633) stuck out and the tight quarters meant that my toes got smashed. I humbly suggest a different chair. I know that space is limited but having a lounge w/ desks or couches (not part of the restaurant) would be nice.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and elegant stay, not to mention the perfect location. The staff at the door entrance are great.
Cons: Staff is professional but impersonal. The hotel doesn't have a comfortable area open for residents to sit and relax at any point in time. The tea room is great but has specific opening hours and also external guests which makes it partially convenient. The blinds in the rooms are not possible to remove which deteriorates the feeling of the nice view.

Pros: The location was perfect
Cons: The ad listed airport shuttle service as one of the amenities but that was not accurate
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff during check-in and all the different reception people were all extremely friendly and helpful. Right outside of Blackfriar tube
Cons: Breakfast staff was rude & clearly not to the standard to the rest of the hotel staff. Tried rushing people out, and serving incorrect drinks to people. One of many exampIes, saw them give away a boys seat when he went to go grab food from the buffet.
9.7 Excellent
Pros:
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: The bed was comfortable and the shower was lovely
Cons: Booked non smoking room and we was given a smoking room. The smell was very bad, there was room sprays in the room but these were empty
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Location is superb, right across blackfriars tube and walking distance to numerous attractions. Lovely breakfast, welcoming staff, clean and classy.
Highly recommended.
Cons: Internet speed for ihg members is appalling, reminded me the early internet days. No good. Switching to the high speed requires technicians, couldn't be bothered. Did my surfing via my mobile as hotspot instead.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location is quite good for my business meetings and very close to tube stop.
Cons: The hotel is getting tired, with rooms in need of updating due to wear and tear.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice friendly hotel, great food. Very easy to get around London from hotel, 15 min walk to Covent Garden, 1 min walk to Blackfriars tube.
Cons:

Pros: Nice hotel, very nice & helpful staff, lovely views from room window
Cons: A bit pricey, but that's London hey
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Room was well appointed. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: I arrived very tired with sore feet after a day of work in the City which began straight from an overseas flight. I was given a room key that did not open my room, not because it became demagnetized, but because they gave me a key for a new type of lock while my room did not yet have the new lock installed. I went back down to the desk with all my luggage to have the room key re-issued. They proceeded to re-issue me with a second nonfunctioning key which I discovered after dragging everything back up to my room. At this point I did not to go down a second time, but called to have somebody come up and let me in my room. I was not thrilled. At the end of a very long and tiring day spending 20 to 30 minutes to get into your room is really not acceptable. Had someone called to apologize or send up a small drink or something I would have appreciated it.

Pros:
Cons: Smallest room I have ever stayed in. Considering all my friends and family WHO I HAD BOOKED & PAID FOR had WAY BIGGER rooms, I thought it was pretty shabby. The hotel is tired (late 90's/early 00's decor) and I think the low price reflects it. Needs to be taken over by a new group as it could be one of London's best in terms of location. When you see a pull-up display banner in the bar/tea area, you know they're heading towards cheap-hotel-ville.

Pros: Location was Amazing. Very close to the Thames, Trafalgar Square, Embankment Bridge, and Underground. Walking distance to Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Westminster. Loved the heated bathroom floor and towel rack.
Cons: The View in the room was not the best. Crane and workmen right outside our room. Marble on the floor needed repairs

Pros: Stayed in a king suite . View from the room was fantastic and the absolutely stunning at night. The room was spacious and comfortable with very nicely appointed furniture and bed. The bathroom with the heated floor was very nice surprise. Doorman was wonderfully welcoming, the bellboys were quick and helpful and the concierge was professional and always pleasant and patient.
Cons: I asked for an early check in which wasn't possible and I understood this. However, when I returned at the regular check in time, the receptionist without checking with anyone, insisted the room still wasn't ready. Had to ask for the manager, who after checking with housekeeping, found the room was ready. Receptionist was not happy at being contradicted and was less than pleasant for the rest of the check-in process. Not offered breakfast discount on check-in so would have paid substantially more if I hadn't found out about the discount by accident. Stayed two nights. Mini-fridge was not restocked the second day. Took 45 minutes to get a bucket of ice and then felt guilty for asking for it when we found out the poor guy doing room service was the only one on duty. Seems like the hotel needs to amp up the staff numbers to provide the five star service you're paying for.

Pros: The staff and the location
Cons: The room service was very disappointing. It required us to go to the lobby to order, pay and then take back to the room... that's not room service! The size of the room was shockingly compact. We bare had enough room to open 2 suitcases.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was nice, easy to get around.
Cons: The toilet had a problem and i couldn’t flush .The air was really dry and in the morning i woke up with my nose congested.

Pros: The location is perfect to see many sights and close to the underground.
Cons: There are NO American Outlets anywhere, and I understand that yes I am in the UK and they don't have the same voltage as in the States, but EVERY hotel I’ve ever stayed at in Europe has had at least ONE American Outlet. The outlets are no where near mirrors. So even if you packed an outlet converter, you wouldn't be able to see yourself do your hair. CFL lighting instead of LED, which take a long time to warm up and are not as bright. Instead of having One Strong WIFI Network, they had over a dozen WEAK Ones. You had to constantly re-connet to Wifi because the signal would go out. We spent majority of the time reconnecting between 3 different Citadines Wifis. The bathtub/shower is so high off the ground, you have to physically climb into it, and careful not to fall out. I almost fell out completely one, but thankfully my boyfriend caught me in time. Our in room fridge creaked and moaned all hours of the night, and soon became part of our nightly sleep, Given the Opportunity, I would NOT stay here again.

Pros:
Cons: The wait time for everything was exceedingly slow. A food order could take over 90 min for delivery.
The rooms were not sound proof you could here every person who walked by and what they were saying.
The staff were not trained for a hotel of that price.
The breakfast selection was mediocre and the same everyday for the 9 days I was there. The hotels decor is old and outdated. It was difficult to even have a bottle of water delivered.
The food was less and average.
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good and the location of the hotel was in walking distance to Covent Garden.
Cons: Having arrived at 11am we knew we couldn't check it until 3pm so we dropped our bags off and went for a walk. Coming back to the hotel at 2.55 we asked if our room was ready and were told Room 425 is nearly ready in 10mins. We were given access to the executive lounge and were told the lady would let us know in 10 mins when we could go to our room. At 3.20 I asked if our room was now ready and was told yet again it will be 10 mins for final checks. To cut a long story short at 3.45 I asked again and was told yes room 431 is ready. I was previously told we were waiting for room 425 if 431 was ready why wasn't we given that when we asked at 3pm. It was suppose to be a anniversary treat for my wife but after the check in farce it did put a dampener on things. We wont be going back.

Pros: The breakfast was varied and nice, the reception staff and doormen were friendly and helpful
Cons: This is a Hotel with quite a reputation so imagine our disappointment at the quality of the room. The shower was generally cold with sudden bursts of scalding water, the room was stuffy and the air conditioning too loud for consistent use. The coffee facilities were miserable and frugal, the bed small and narrow - this was really a room for single occupancy only, we were a couple. The breakfast was good enough, but the queue was long and the poor egg chef was clueless. This is a Hotel that needs to improve because all it is doing now is living on its past, and its location.

Pros: Location, traditional nature of the hotel, price in comparison to nearby hotels. They gave us free breakfast for my husbands birthday (they didn’t give us a room upgrade though and the hotel wasn’t full). Most of the staff very nice.
Cons: The hotel is covered in scaffolding. The room we were give 809 was as far away from reception as you could get, it was an attic room and quite small. 1 member of staff at breakfast was very rude, although others apologised and tried to make up for it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We traveled in from Heathrow and the hotel was close to the underground stop. Easy walking distance to all major landmarks. Staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast in the morning was awesome.

Cons: We booked 2 rooms with queen beds, plus a double pull-out couch...plenty of beds for a family of 5. When we checked in, we were given two rooms with queen beds only. The staff worked to fix the issue, but I still don't think that we got what we paid for.

Pros: The location was great for tourists. Right in the heart of Covent Gardens. Lots of energy and buzz about. Staff was friendly.
Cons: The room was so small I nearly knocked the tv off the wall when walking from the bed to the bathroom. There wasn't a dresser to put my clothes in, and if I were to use the folding stand to place my suitcase I literally would not have been able to move around. Airconditioning was adequate for my room, but the hallways were hot, and the lobby was uncomfortably warm. Carpets were dark and dingy. I had tech problems with the wifi, something others were having as well, but there wasn't anyone at the hotel who could adequately solve the problem.
