Pros: Location was great.
Cons: Young lady at check in was not very professional... a bit snobby when answering questions, even as I was being polite and jovial... bad day or not, it's all about service and experience... Hope it improves or was a one time occurrence.

Pros: I enjoyed the overall lobby design, the restaurants/cafe inside and our room. I'd definitely stay there again!
Cons: Nope.

Cons: nothing
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location is great, room and bathroom were super clean.
Cons: Room was small, not worth the price we paid for. Worse of all, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, how can this hotel call itself 5 stars with such bad beds? We regret staying in this hotel and we will not come back.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Polite and friendly staff, very comfortable room and perfect location.
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The buzzy lobby, the bar, corner room on high floor
Cons: The shower could have been better. Water pressure is low. It was very difficult to regulate the water temperature. There was only a partial glass panel which meant water on the floor making it slippery. I felt cold because you could not enclose the shower and cool air drafted in. The threat of Legionaire's disease was not exactly a plus. The towels were thin and scratchy, not up to a standard to be expected.

Pros: Clean, roomy bathroom, very helpful and friendly staff and good location
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, bed and pillows were very comfortable and the hot shower was fab!
Cons: The staff in L'Amtico. We tried to go in for breakfast one day and were told quite rudely that we could only have the table for 1 hour, fully booked for another evening meal request and on the day we left sat at the bar for a drink and pizza and again the bartender was very abrupt in his manner.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The location suited me.
Cons: Guest rooms are in need of refresh, they look tired with scratched and stained furniture. Stains on the wall. There is the impression that the hotel is run from the front desk by a group of inexperienced, unpolished young people who are not trained, or interested in, a genuinely positive guest experience. Some of the Vine waiting staff are surly and resentful and service could be better. Overall there is not a sense of being looked after.

Pros: We liked the relaxing atmosphere as well as the extremely friendly staff. The fact that we could get really good coffee and snacks at all times was perfectly convenient. Cons: Very noisy lifts and general building sounds. Also, the room is so small the toilet is practically in the bedroom.

Pros: great breakfast. great location. design carefully considered
Cons: really small for 2 people. elevators pain in the neck. washroom privacy lacking because the room was so small. great light.
7.0 Good
Pros: We have booked the city sky room and we loved the view that we got. Also Arlo Nomad is situated just perfectly to get around manhatten. Staff was friendly as well.
Cons: Unfortunately at our arrival our room was still not ready and had to wait another hour and when we entered the room the curtains were broken amd the room was not clean enough. Still some trash on the floor I had to ask four times to get the curtains repaired. We were very unhappy about our arrival and it was not worth paying that much money for the room. The room is very small .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location. Just off 5th.5 mins walk to the Empire State and Macys. Right beside Korea Town which has a huge selection of restaurants. Close to subways etc. Room very nice but quite small (to be expected in NYC). Shower excellent. Bed very comfy, pillows only OK. We didn't eat or drink there.
Cons: The walls are a little thin in he rooms and you can hear every word spoken in the hallways at night. You might want to bring ear plus if you are a light sleeper. The staff could have done more to explain the elavators (you need to select your floor on a screen before you stand in, rendering the buttons inside the lift useless).

Pros: Cafe, aesthetics, location cannot be beat.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect for a stay in the Village. It was within easy walking distance of everything. The room is small but adorable, perfect for a one night stay. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Plus, the breakfast is fantastic!
Cons: The bed isn't super comfortable. In particular, the pillows are super flat, so I would recommend bringing your own if, like me, a good pillow is important to your sleep. That was really the only negative!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I adored the ambiance, this intimate setting gave me inspiration to write and reflect. I loved the location it was perfect walking distance from all my meetings I will be staying here if rooms are available during my next trip.
Cons: At the bottom of this Survey it says I am from Norwalk CT but I am from San Francisco CA.
4.0 Okay
Pros: pretty hotel
Cons: No one helped us with our bags on arrival or departure. The lobby and lounge was over-crowded with non-hotel guests on their laptops. It was like walking into a student shared workspace. So no room to hang out in the lobby lounge. The rooms were small, with no place to put a suitcase. They could not even provide a suitcase rack.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location.
Cons:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent. The continental breakfast was appreciated and likely rare for a hotel in lower Manhattan. The lobby was very quaint and inviting. All hotel personnel were very friendly.
Cons: The room size is very small, but this is Manhattan where space is a premium. The bathroom size was adequate.
7.0 Good
Pros: We thought the room was perfect but very small. The shower was good, glad to have slippers. The maitre d’hotel on Thanksgiving in the restaurant was lovely she was very friendly.
Cons: The room was the smallest room we have ever stayed in. The mini bar took up a lot of room that could have been used for our clothes. There wasn’t room to put up an ironing board. We felt a little claustrophobic.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The cozy bar and lounge
Cons: The room was a bit tight
7.1 Good
Pros: Great bar and lounge lots of character but lounge very busy with non residents
Cons: Too many non residents doing business in the lounge meant difficult to find a comfortable seat and rooms very small with no tea or coffee making facilities or anywhere to sit. Complimentary breakfast very limited

Pros: The rooms were cute. Not to small.
Cons: Stayed here for New Year's Eve. Wanted a bucket of ice for the room so my wife and I could keep a bottle of champagne cold. They actually charged us $5 for the bucket of ice. Not even Motel 6 charges for ice. Room was also very hot and a lot of noise from the street and hallway. Bed hard and uncomfortable.

Pros: Great trendy hotel in a great location.
Cons: Nothing.
7.9 Good
Pros: Amazing location good size of room very friendly staff or the room service and cleaning very clean room
Cons: The breakfast ! It is nice that it gets served in the room because it gave you more time to relax but the options are very poor for such a good hotel. Also if you are 2 only one can have the orange juice the other one has to have the grapefruit juice or only one can have the chocolate croissant. It was insane! So if we both want to have the chocolate croissant it wasn’t possible! Also the staff in the reception can be a little bit more friendly.

Ace Hotel New York lives in a historic, turn-of-the-century building in Midtown Manhattan, invested with the spirit of its surroundings, the culture of the city and the ancient bones of the building. Ace New York has become a central hub for New Yorkers and international travelers alike, and a hotbed of startups, freelancers and people who just want to kick it. However bustling the lobby gets, the hotel is a respite from New York's mayhem — full of local art, thoughtful details and the best beds in the universe.
We're centrally located, so it’s easy to get to museums, shops, restaurants, theaters, parks, arenas, bars or wherever you may be going by foot, cab, bike, train, bus and chopper. We also have some of the best dining and shopping right in the building, so even the agoraphobic will find everything they need without ever stepping foot outside. New York, however, is one of our favorite cities in the world, and there's a lot to explore — we can help you discover and navigate in the wild as well.

Cons: Can’t think of anything to be honest
6.0 Good
Pros: unbeatable location, hip atmosphere, cool interior, good amenities, good bed.
Cons: I've booked 5 rooms for this trip to NYC with 7 friends together. 4 of the 5 rooms were good, only one room which is one of the bunkbed rooms I booked, my friends who stayed there complained about the air conditioning / heater not working according to temperature setting, their room was always too warm, so warm that they almost can't sleep. Also the bath curtain of this room is obvious too short to prevent water splashing onto the bathroom floor, my friends had to wipe the bathroom floor dry every day after taking shower.

Pros: The best part was shower water pressure and the nesspresso coffee machine.
Cons: The studio we booked was not the reality of what we got. They blamed booking.com claiming that ‘they use the wrong photos’ ! The day before we were due to travel they sent us a revised booking and room pricing claiming we requested changes, which we did not. After questioning them we got the prices reversed back to our original booking. The room we got looked like a standard room rather than a studio. The photos of the standard room were actually larger than the room we were in which they say is a studio. I tired to ask them what room or studio is classed but they kept on saying that booking.com use the wrong photos. Which quite frankly is a joke as hotels provide photos to their room types. I told that they even on their own website they show a different style studio than what we got and again they tried to argue. Just feel that this is a scam to lure people into making a booking, promising a large space and providing a standard bare minimum. Once you are there and tired it’s not to easy to break your plans and change hotels so like me most people end up staying. Further, there were issues with hot water. Almost daily we had to complain to get it working again. This is not a 5* hotel by a long shot. The linen was clean but overused and frayed. No iron or ironing board. No turn down service, if you won’t wash your own plates and cutlery, they go back in the cupboard dirty. In short - this is one of the biggest disappointments in my travel and definitely no value for money. I hope other travellers won’t fall in the same trap.

Pros: Location in NY Midtown is very good Room is spacious and bed and pillows very comfortable. It has a small kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, Nespresso coffee maker and a toaster. You can prepare your breakfast there , which is pretty good, considering the cost of the breakfast at the hotel
Cons: For a start, is far from being a 5 star hotel. Probably a 4, and not so sure. Do not be confused with price. You get what you pay, and I did not pay the price of a 5 star. The hotel needs maintenance. Everywhere. The light of the Bathroom was very poor. I asked to be repaired, and it was, but nevertheless I could hardly see myself in the mirror. The shower deserves its own chapter. There is a continuity in the floor of the shower with the rest of the bathroom. When you have a shower, the whole bathroom gets wet for a while. I have never seen before such a poor design of a bathroom

Pros: Very clean room, friendly desk staff, large bathroom for such a small room
Cons: The room was absolutely tiny -- if I stretched my arms in both directions I could probably touch the two opposite walls. The room was the size of a closet with bunk beds. Very claustrophobic. One small window with levers which could not fully be opened.

Pros: location was central to most big city attractions. Lobby was modern and staff was very inviting.
Cons: Traveling as a couple it was very inconvenient to be in bunk beds. The rooms were VERY small and did not leave any room for privacy (especially the bathroom which was a half frosted glass door). Other may appreciate the minimalism, not for us though.

Pros: Thebes’s and linens were extra comfortable. RG shower and bathroom were very nice.
Cons: Not happy with booking.com as the price was over $100/a night less at the location than what I paid. The staff was not very friendly or accommodating: eg leaving the building there were 3 doorman chatting, I was struggling with the heavy door and not one noticed or offered o help, also I asked for herb tea at the front desk during the morning coffee time, again 3 people at the desk chatting and the only response I got was “you can go downstairs and ask at the restaurant,“ then turned away. should not be a 5* hotel. Maybe 3.5.

Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: There was suspicious white goo on the curtains, decor is chipped, worn and tired. Wallpaper peeling in both the room and the common areas. Although we had hot water during our stay, 2 other friends did not and they ended up leaving the hotel which put a damper on our weekend. Lobby is small and unimpressive. The narrow, cramped hallway that leads to the elevators is a mess of unpainted drywall and patches. I don't recommend, you can do better for the price.

Pros:
Cons: The room was very small
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel staff were friendly and the place itself is very well located.
Cons: The lack of facilities such as a bar although there was a rooftop lounge where you could help yourelf to tea and coffee etc. The rooms were a little on the small side, and my room was very dusty. The desk was not dusted at all throughout my stay (4 nights) and the bedise tables were very dusty, I actually dusted them myself with a tissue as they were putting me off a bit.
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location. After complaining about the room we offered they immediately offered to upgrade us to a better room from the 2nd night. This suggests that they realised we'd paid top much for the poor room we were originally given. The free snacks in reception were a nice touch but frankly I'd rather they spent the money upgrading the property. The USB lamps are a great idea though.
Cons: Considering how much we paid, the room we were initially offered was miniscule. It was shabby and poorly laid out. There was a lot of street noise, no surfaces in the bathroom, the shower was sub standard and the bed not as comfortable as it should have been. Even once we were given an upgrade to a deluxe room, which was significantly better, it was still not brilliant value for money. The air conditioner was incredibly loud and broke down on our last night. Plus I had to take my last shower with a cockroach. Although complaining obviously helped I still would not re book this property. Back to Air Bnb next time!

Pros: The location of this hotel was perfect, less than a mile to the nearest tube station. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very stylish. The bathroom was a perfect size.
Cons: The squeaky floor boards above were disturbing as the people above were up early walking around. Other than that there wasn’t much that wasn’t good about it.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff, especially in the lounge, were friendly and helpful.
Cons: I had difficulty managing the room temperature. The preset 75 ° is too hot. I was not able to lower the temperature without turning the system off. Also, the street noise was very loud throughout the night.

Pros: Quick check-in and check out process. Hotel is very conveniently located.
Cons: Room was extremely small, though not the smallest of NYC hotel rooms that I've encountered.

Pros: The bed... was SUPER FIRM. somehow I slept really well but it felt like I was on a cardboard mattress.
Cons: The mattress. The rooms truly are very tiny. Not even room to put out a yoga mat. It was fine bc I knew to expect that. But for anyone expecting any space... you’d be disappointed with a standard room for sure.

Pros: The location is great. Cleaning lady was excellent and sweet. She seriously did a great job everyday.
Cons: The room was really outdated but at least it was big. We couldn't use the mini bar fridge for our kid's food and wish the hotel had a bathtub. Not a big game changer but tubs are helpful when bathing a baby.

Pros: Clean, comfortable, amazing staff, the location is excellent and the price is not bad at all for the location. We flew in the day before thanksgiving, were greeted by Bogdan, shown to our room quickly and went sightseeing! We had plenty of towels daily and two bottles of water provided per day. The hotel is just off the Macy Parade route so we walked to the corner and saw the parade go by. Overall it was a wonderful stay here at The Gregory and I’d love to come back here one day!

Pros: The location was good for access to subway
Cons: The hotel bar facility is no longer in operation which is not clear on the hotel website with the area being used for luggage storage. There are no tea/ coffee making facilities either in the room or in the hotel foyer. The foyer seating area was occupied throughout our stay by a promotional activity, essentially making it unusable. The room decor was generally ‘tired’ with window blinds that were broken. We had to move rooms twice during a 7 night stay.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: rooms very well decorated. bed comfortable. beautiful building. convenient restaurant for breakfast next door
Cons: one of the blinds on window was broken and lopsided half up half down
heat hard to control - but then turned on a/c so was alright

Pros: The front desk staff and the bed. At best a 3 star hotel.
Cons: A very tired and DIRTY hotel. Not as described. Does not match the pictures. We had the change rooms 3 times before finding one with blinds that were not broken.. BTW the first two rooms the blinds were further and stained. !

Breakfast was great, was expecting just coffee and a dried out muffin, but there was fruit, toast and pastries and tea/coffee/juice! Bed was really comfy.
Cons: the reception/ hallways/ lift are all very dark, its really hard to see anywhere, and you are always on an edge re personal safety in the dark corridors, in the lift my mam ended up pressing the stuck lift button because she couldn't see! Also for tea you had to use creamer and not milk which just isn't right, they could but a bowl of ice with a milk jug for tea beside the machine. Our room was quite cold, the window needs to be addressed, even though it was closed the room was cold, and the heat was one of those blow heaters that you cant leave an for a long time!

Pros: The location is great. The bathrooms are nice. Internet worked well.
Cons: However it lacks the charm I was expecting from a boutique hotel in New York. The rooms have an old feeling. The decoration in general is fairly old style. And when we tried to get room service for breakfast nobody picked up, we were told we will be called back and after 30 min we just gave up. Not worth the price, I would rather do a Hilton or Hyatt for same price with much better bed, service and vibe.

Cons: There were a few things I did not like but the main thing, the hotel overcharged my card ..I stayed for one night ,the first charge was $--- ..but then they took an additional $421.70 & now I have to wait a few business days for the money to be returne
1.0 Poor
Pros: Close to everything
Cons: Left something in the room and called Lohues keeping later to look for it.... but really bad attitude— did not even help me look for it
3.0 Mediocre
Pros:

1.0 Poor
Pros: I expectation was high but in real it was low level. The hotel is very expensive but facilities is very poor. I need to go outside for breakfast and it only was coffee with small fruits. It was horrible. There is not sport club in hotel . So the only positive thing the location nothing more.
Cons: Only location

Pros: close to everything and good value. Rooms are dated but staff is helpful and locations is great.
Cons:
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Right across the street from Penn Station
Cons: Room smelled like it was smoked in for years. Pealing paint, ratty carpet. Just overall dingy. Cheaper comparatively to other nearby hotels, but definitely not worth it. Spend a bit more and don't stay here.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Cleanliness, staff, getting car out of valet and they lost the ticket twice, long line for checkin, breakfast was less than continental, room had mold and rust everywhere, wallpaper peeling off walls, carpet had tons of stains, smelled like smoke in the non smoking room...etc...
7.1 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Room old
1.0 Poor
Pros: The location/proximity to Penn Station
Cons: Terrible! Old/outdated, unclean. Rust, mold, creaky bed with severe bend/dip in mattress! WAY outdated carpet! Again, terrible! I would expect to see these at a fleabag motel in the middle of a deserted highway! Screws in the ceiling????
1.0 Poor
Pros: The view
Cons: The hotel carpets were filthy. No phone in room. I called days before to request a front view. When we checked in they gave us a room with a building view . The door had to be pushed hard to drag it open. Did was dingy and dirty. They did change to good v
