Cons: Hotel was great. Meeting room was bad. Seats may have been most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat in at a conference.

Cons: The room itself is fairly standard. The ~$350/night is mostly towards the location and the pool.

Cons: I honestly can't say anything too negative. I didn't particularly enjoy spending $350 plus, and it got a little noisy at times but I feel like that comes with the territory when you're in Manhattan. I will say that regardless of where you're staying, $18 for a movie is almost offensive. Why not just charge 2X what it would cost us at home? It would be a nice gesture.

Cons: Bluetooth speaker wasn't working when we arrived but the staff replaced it pretty much immediately. Thanks for that!

Cons: The Standard Highline review TOILET PAPER! Worst toilet paper ever!!! BRING YOUR OWN!! SERIOUSLY!!!!!! It’s like Cold War East Germany Military-grade issued!!! Single ply you can almost see through!!! If you’re not careful, you might sand off your butt or get a bad paper cut! Really for almost $400/night to have such crappy toilet paper???!!!??? (Pun intended!) Really BRING YOUR OWN TP!!! Otherwise everything was quite nice - especially the views from the room!!!

Cons: Night stands are sloped. Meaning drinks don't stay put. Tiny bathroom. Almost claustrophobic. Stingy with soap and lotion- replace if shen you clean and don't make me call for some. Also don't close roof for renovations without telling people in advance.

Cons: Because there is a seemingly popular bar on the 15th floor of hotel you can run into some characters when it is just time to go to bed. Also when coming back home for the night the door man acts as security so you have to your room key on you in order to just get through the door. The receptionist warned us about this so we were prepared but I thought it was a little annoying. However as a guest of the hotel you get restaurant and bar privileges so there is no wait for you to get in.

Cons: Little hard finding the front desk (on 14th floor)

Cons: Very loud lounge, key didn't work consistently, have to go up to lounge, then down to entry For millennials is the vibe

Cons: Breakfast, Dinner. The pool is only open until 7PM. This is NYC. You know, the city that never sleeps? I guess the pool gets tired early.

Cons: A/C worked well but was very loud especially with something loose inside that made a clunking noise constantly while the A/C ran. I called down after the first night to see if could be addressed. Engineering was sent while we were out but the problem wasn't fixed. We got in too late to deal with the second so had to try prob a chair against it to dampen the noise :(

Cons: Last night of my stay, my floor (9th) turned very noisy. Not just in rooms but up and down the hall. Younger crowd yelling to each other, etc. Felt like I was trying to sleep in the middle of a frat party! This was between 1-2am and went on for quite some time. It would have hoped someone would ask them quiet down on room levels.

Cons: The entire 1st floor is under renovation...really kills the vibe. Had I known the lobby was under construction, I wouldn't have booked the room. The pictures of the lobby, lobby bar, etc. were a compelling reason I decided to stay here. Very disappointed. Also, the bathroom sinks are TINY and no spot to set your bathroom kit down...really more annoying than anything else. A small shelf or table next to the sink would be perfect.

Cons: Room was not clean; rotten food stored in the closet caused me to throw up. We notified the manager on duty (Juliane Vasquez) and she said there was nothing she could do than give us continental breakfast vouchers at the hotel restaurant. Continental breakfast is only toast and a hard boiled egg. We declined the vouchers and went to breakfast at another restaurant. Ironically, Juliane was at that restaurant and pretended she did not know us when we walked by her. I called hotels.com to straighten out the mess and they were surprised that Juliane/Martha Washington did not reach out to them to help us. Hotels.com called the Martha Washington and negotiated an adjustment to our bill. We checked out immediately and went to another hotel. We would not stay nor recommend staying there; Juliane and some of the staff need customer service training.

Cons: I didn't like the street noise at night. Honking of horns continuously but nothing the hotel can do about that in NYC I guess

Cons: I did not realize my single room would consist of a twin bed in a 6 by 10 room. It was half the room pictured. There was no closet, just some small drawers tucked behind the bed. They do an admiralable job with space efficiency but you should know going in how small the space is.

Cons: I should note that the room was a bit small, and as others have said it didn't have a chair. I was able to get my work done using the provided stool, but an office chair might have been better. I also found that parts of the hotel, especially the elevators, were too heavily perfumed for my taste. The room wasn't, which is good.

Cons: Not really a dislike, but the name had changed from King and Grove to Martha Washington between the time we booked and arrived. A bit confusing. The closest thing we had to a complaint was the outside noise that penetrated the room. Our room was in the back on the outside, making it more vulnerable to ambient noise apparently.

Cons: I know it's New York but the bathroom could really use a shelf or two for storage.

Cons: The first room we were assigned to , room 945 had a bad odour which was intolerable. We were then changed to room 444 which is slightly smaller but has good odour , unfortunately the aircon was super noisy and disturbed us on the first night . we then worked out a way to improve this noise so much better. The shower head in room 444 needs attention as it leaks at the back of the pipe - this is evidence of poor maintenance.

Cons: A larger, more expansive fitness room would be nice.

Cons: the staff: apathetic, dismissive, rude, unapologetic rooms: way too small and awkward, no shades on bathroom windows, no amenities, no closet space overall experience: borderline abusive special note- extremely awkward situation happening on 8th floor where apparently a permanent tenant lives in one of the rooms and has several crazy notices taped to the outside of his/her door. also the fitness center is a joke.

Cons: Hotel was still in the middle of a major renovation even though website said it was finished. A lot of noise and construction in and around the hotel. Maid service was below par. Had to ask for more soap, tissues, drinking cups, etc., instead of them being replaced when they were used up. Front desk staff were very nice but lacked the professionalism that you should see in a hotel like this.
