The sky bar has an amazing view, even if your not drinking up there, it's worth going up to take some pictures. Cons: Dear Sir, From 5 to 10 September me and my girlfriend stayed at your hotel. We had a problem with the suitcase, but we advised your receptionists that probably the airline would deliver the suitcase at the hotel. Only on September 10, in the Alitalia lost & found office, we found out that the suitcase was delivered on the 6th. NO ONE on your staff bothered to inform us or carry the suitcase in the room. We had to go back to the train to retrieve it (from JFK/Queens to Manhattan). Your lack of attention and professionalism has caused us to spend a lot of money on a new suitcase and clothes. Given that it was the third time we stayed in your hotel, we did not expect this disruption. Yours faithfully.

Pros: The location is fantastic, literally turn right and right again and you're on Times Square. The hotel is clean, very funky and something a little different from the norm. The sky bar has an amazing view, even if your not drinking up there, it's worth going up to take some pictures. Above all else though, the staff are amazing, very helpful and always on call if you need advice.
Cons: Maybe better to have given guests an option of a twin room as well, as my 18 and 21 year old sons had to sleep together (although they weren't overly fussed - liked being little kids again!) and maybe the storage under the bed could have been deeper (only one of our suitcases fitted). breakfast probably overpriced but good choice.

Cons: When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that, due to overbooking, our room was unavailable until the next day so we were taken to their sister hotel some 20 minutes away. Having travelled for 24 hours we were unimpressed however they handled it extremely professionally so it was easy to forgive them! The rest of the stay was very good and we had no other complaints or problems.

Cons: This had been my go to hotel for several years now- I probably have stayed there a dozen times. Unfortunately, there is construction going on and there was drilling and hammering right on the other side of the wall all three days I was there. I was told this would go on for two years. Plus, all the details that I loved about the hotel seem to have disappeared- such as a lot of the amenities. Seems to be no mini bar. Too large paper cups have replaced the stylish cups for the Nespresso machine. No glassware. No room service. Staff not as friendly. I understand that Hilton has bought the property this past year so I presume that has a lot to do with these changes. And shockingly, the price of the room has gone up to boot! When I complained about the noise with the front desk the woman was not very apologetic and gave me a reluctant “sorry” and said she would note it in the guest record. I checked out feeling disappointed and sad as this used to be my favorite hotel. Will not stay there again.

Pros: The hotel is situated 1 block from the Hustle and bustle of times square and is situated near the theatre CHICAGO and BOOK OF MORMAN. Two streets back is Hell's Kitchen which has restaurants that are cute and not upperscale super expensive. Rooms are very spacious and my husband and I picked the smallest room, cannot remember the name however was large enough for 2 large suitcases. Subway is a 1 minute walk and closeby + the red hop on and hop off bus if you are wanting to do the touristy spots. They also have wine and cheese from 5 - 7pm.. this was cute.. only managed to get there once as we were super busy exploring

Cons: the first night we arrived was a Saturday and it was super loud from the theatre shows downstairs that we heard cars and beeps until midnight... Cons: I thought the front of the hotel looked horrible and I was never made aware prior to my stay. I would have chosen a nicer looking place for over $600 for 2 nights. Plus the wall paper was hanging in the bathroom. I stayed in a double room with 4 people and the room was small and there was not enough of anything for 4 people. You would think they could at least do that. Then when I went to leave I was told I had a $140.00 garage parking fee to pay that was never told to me. I believe I read online that parking was available but never mentioned a few. I was very disappointed with my stay and don't think I will return. The only thing that was told would be done was a credit for my services fees the manager provided but waiting for that refund stil. I hope something is done to compensate me. I still will pay $60 for parking I was under the impression was free.

Cons: I had flight delays and was supposed to arrive around 3p-4p. I ended up not getting in until 5am. I called several times to see what my options were and the staff was rude and said I could give up my room of 4 nights or pay for the night I wasn’t actually there. Ok fine. I’ll pay for 4 full nights. When I arrived I was given a room that had mold growing on the ceiling above the bed. I requested another room. I was given a temporary room and told that my room with two double beds would be reassigned to me the next day. I went down at 10am and made sure that it’s was known what my room situation was and that I would be back in the afternoon to be given keys to my new room. Came back at 4:30pm and was told that no room was approved for me because I booked through booking.com. I had to have a long conversation with the Assistant Manager who told me I booked an ADA room and I couldn’t just ask for a two double bed room because I messed up. I told her I didn’t that I was given an ADA room because of mold on the ceiling in the room assigned to me when I arrived. I had to show my booking reservations to show I was not lying about my reservation. I finally got a room and was told they would waive the $35 daily service fee that covers Wifi, etc. Well good thing we could never even get on the WiFi because it was so bad. The new room I was assigned to had mold all over the bathroom. See pictures below. After so much trouble and poor service previously in sucked it up and didn’t complain. When you stay at a hotel such as the Crown Plaza it is known for its prestige and cleanliness. I’m paying $1800 for 4 nights for a dirty room with mold. I will never stay at this hotel again. I’ve stayed at LaQuintas that we’re nicer than this and more than half the cost. Don’t pay for a room with a view because the hotel really doesn’t have a direct view of Times Square. You have to lean over and look way down the street to actually see Times Square.

Pros: Location was great. Rooms were very nice and were finished with very good quality workmanship and products. I wish they would put 2 queen beds in rooms again instead of 2 double beds! The rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. The staff that cleaned the rooms were very friendly and courteous, much more so than the front desk gentleman that checked us out and the gentleman that retrieved out stored luggage. The check in gal was very friendly and the gentleman that stored out luggage was friendly but they never approach us with a "Hello - may I help you?" You had to search them out and ask for help.

Cons: Booked a kitchenette however it comes with a microwave and kettle along with several empty kitchen cupboards but no plates , cups or bowls or cutlery basically no kitchenware at all. Found this very disappointing as this was one of the main reasons to book this hotel and this information was not advertised in the description. You would think when you book a kitchenette that you get some cutlery or dishes of some description.

Having booked a family room and then upgrading to a junior sweet, I was then going to be charged for a roll-away bed on top of the upgrade, because the room wasn't prepared for 2 adults and a child as I had requested in my booking. The bed too 50 minutes to arrived after requesting it from reception.

The room was not very far from the elevators, not too close either and one could hear very distinctly the elevators coming up and down, constantly. It was impossible for me to sleep without any plugs. And the bathroom was not 100% clean. Very disappointing for a 5 star hotel.

Pros: Rooms were dated and obviously hadn’t been touched up in years. Escalators/lifts were broken on more than one occasion. No room service, not even anywhere you can get food within the hotel. Bar didn’t open till 5pm and was massively expensive for what it was. On one occasion asked for an ice bucket only to be told the bar was closed and they didn’t have access. Same happened when we asked to borrow two champagne glasses. Pretty ridiculous for a hotel tbh. It’s a shame. The place looked like it could have been amazing back in the day or with some funds pushed in to bring it back to standard. Asked a member of staff point black was it due to close down as it genuinely had that feel. She told us she “didn’t know, maybe”.

Cons: There was a horrible screeching sound through the pipes in my room throughout my stay, which made sleeping difficult. I raised the issue on two occasions shortly after check in and I wasn’t moved to another room and nothing was done to resolve it. The lady at the front desk looked at the temperature outside and told me that if it’s above 65 degrees then heat comes up through the pipes, so the hotel must have this problem all the time. It was a screeching loud sound all day and night. The room itself was tiny and no complimentary water or WiFi was provided.

Cons: The hotel is really lousy. The front desk person was extremely rude, obnoxious and hostile. The room assignment was very horrible, dark, dirty, and old. Lousy experience!!! Charged extra for nothing.

The staff at the front desk struggled to give us correct information about our room and whether or not we had paid which was quite stressful at times
