Cons: Very soft beds and pillows compared to UK standards. Both my husband and I have sore backs now. Wasn’t informed about a $100 per night hold on our credit card when we checked in, so had to go back down to query it.

Cons: I was robbed in my room. Someone stole brand ner airpods from my luggage. Reported to security at check-out and today, 2 days later, haven't heard back, even being a Hilton Diamond Member.

Pros: Location, decor, comfort.
Cons: We had a beautiful view but were unable to open the blinds. Asked for service and only got partial resolution. Very frustrating. Remotes to operate lights and adjust shower and blinds were outdated, unintuitive, and quirky. Too expensive for this!

Pros: We found nothing to not like about this hotel. The location, room, rooftop were all excellent.
Cons: The trend amongst hotels to no longer put both a fitted and top sheet on the bed. I would rather have a top and fitted sheet along with the duvet. However, we called down and this was taken care of and we were brought the additional bedding we requested

Nestled in the epicenter of Lower Manhattans vibrant new downtown lies New Yorks last hidden architectural treasure - The Beekman a Thompson Hotel. One of Manhattans first skyscrapers the heart of this iconic building is its extraordinary nine-story Victorian atrium and majestic pyramidal skylight. Originally the site played host to many milestones including New Yorks debut of Shakespeares Hamlet and the famed Clinton Hall a library where writers such as Edgar Allen Poe honed their craft.

Flanked by the A-list neighborhoods of Soho, Tribeca and Greenwich Village, Arlo SoHo is an ingeniously designed boutique hotel with a bold and stylish personality. The snug, urban-cabin rooms pack a whole lot of punches into their compact space, with solid-walnut alcove beds, integrated tech and ooh-that’s-clever storage solutions. Up top there’s an open-air cocktail bar with views to downtown; or choose your poison in the lobby’s Liquor Bar and settle into an ergonomic armchair or a sofa in the library. The deliciously simple restaurant has mix-and-match meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the 24-hour pantry Bodega and coffee shop has artisanal treats for in between.

Pros: Lots of freebies! Upon checking in, they gave my friend and I each a small bottle of champagne and told us that breakfast was complimentary as well as a happy hour with free beer, wine & cheese from 5:30-7pm.
Cons: The shower was horrible. We were given a handicap room, and the shower was very narrow. There was no space to move around, and water got sprayed across the whole bathroom because there wasn't a lip. The shower head also fell on my friend's head mid-shower
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel
Cons: No
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The design was neat and the staff were friendly
Cons: This is a microhotel and that was NOT clearly advertised when purchasing. I think it’s unreasonable to expect customers to know the average square footage of hotel rooms and to have any context of what “150 sq ft†means in this space.
1.0 Poor
Pros: The main areas of the hotel were nice and the location.
Cons: Upon arrival their systems were down making things difficult. It was rated 4-stars but my room had bunk beds, which were uncomfortable. Phone in room didn't work. Room was noisy and tiny. They only came to clean once I asked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff across the board was amazing. If you want to be treated like a valued customer, this is where you want to stay. The restaurant chef and staff are outstanding. Rooftop for cocktails take you away to another city.
Cons: The only negatives: 1) change the shower curtain (perhaps put it on a cord. 2) Wish they had room service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was clean and modern. Loved the flower garden.
Cons: The room was much smaller than I expected and I could see into my neighbors rooms too easily.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: I booked a reservation at Buking Dotkun for $285, but the hotel bill was $ 399. There were too many nominal Tex claims,Bed size is too narrow to be very uncomfortable. Not a single size
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff and aesthetics were great.
Cons: Tough location. Holland Tunnel traffic and noise were challenging.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is modern. There's a free happy hour for guests which is lovely (Resurrection in expensive New York). Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Smaller rooms, but I guess this is typical of NYC. I didn't like how the shower was open to the room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, staff and facilities were excellent. We will definitely stay there again.
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is ideal for many of the major attractions in NYC!
Cons: You can hear the traffic from the streets. I felt as if I can hear conversations from people in the street, and we were on the 4th floor. I also felt the beds were not as comfortable, but the room layout was unique and modern.

Pros: Location and setup of the property was nice.

Pros: The LOCATION is fabulous! With Century 21, The Oculus, WTC/observatory, and subway just steps away, this hotel is ideal for shopping and touring. [We spent two days shopping and/or eating in the Oculus and Century21]. My two daughters-in-law and I stayed in a corner suite on the 52nd floor....What a view! Although NYCity prices are much higher than Chicago or Boston, it was worth the extra to treat ourselves! We drove from RI; parking was convenient at the hotel, $60/day well worth it, because we could not have hauled all our purchases via bus, train or plane!! We also traveled uptown for dinner at Gallagher's, the play "Wicked," Serendipity, shopping at the one and only Bloomingdale's, and being frontline at the TODAY show. It was a fabulous, fall, four-day excursion!

Pros: The concierge was great and the views from the room were amazing. Extremely convenient location.
Cons: The front desk was understaffed, distracted, and unwelcoming (the lobby was not overly busy, I would have understood if so). The room was dated, not terribly clean, and had an odd smell to it. Overall, not the experience I was expecting for the price.

Pros: Breakfast was mediocre. Dinner was ok but the wait staff needs to pay more attention to details. And the customer. When they delivered dinner they dropped the plates and disappeared. We didn't even have a chance to ask for silverware, which one of us was missing. We shared until we could get someones attention. Not an easy task here as they seem to go with the NYC theory, Don't make eye contact. When we were finished I asked the wait staff for our check (I hadn't seen our waitress in a while). We waited, and waited, and waited. I finally saw our waitress by the bar so I went over and asked for the check.
All in all, a mediocre experience. The only plus is the location. I won't return. Not really worth the $$$.

Pros: Loved our stay. Location ideal. Rooftop was amazing
Cons: Not your fault but very noisy from the road outside
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice hotel in excellent condition. Close to Subway.
Cons: Neighborhood was so so kind of rundown.
7.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was mediocre.
Cons: Breakfast, Dinner. The pool is only open until 7PM. This is NYC. You know, the city that never sleeps? I guess the pool gets tired early.
6.0 Good
Pros: Views from our room.
Cons: Floors and furniture were dusty . Needs new coat of paint. Furniture a bit shabby.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Room was nothing like pictures posted, was very dirty. When asked to clean it, the staff ignored our request. No water in room. Extremely noisy and disruptive, especially ar night.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The room was nice
Cons: The guest service was terrible, we asked if there were any late night restaurant options. We were told no, we found several within a block of the Hotel the next day.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Beautiful panoramic view of the city from the rooftop. Good location.
Cons: For a 4-star hotel the room was very disappointing. It was dingy and did not seem clean. The furniture, including the couch cushions, were tired and worn. The floors were sticky so I had to wear socks in the room. The rain showerhead was broken.

Pros: Great hotel, really close to subway to get uptown to the main sights, or on the line to Brooklyn. Room was a great size and comfortable. We stayed over thanksgiving and the cleaning staff we great, leaving complimentary thanksgiving cookie and the reception staff even sharing some of their pumpkin pie as we couldn't find any! For a 4 star hotel in New York the price we paid was good value for money - would highly recommend.

Pros: Location, Location, Location. This hotel couldn’t be better situated for Black Friday. As an Ex-NYer they served up the quintessential American meal that I yearned for living abroad.
Cons: The room was too small. That was the problem. We have been coming here for years always getting a spacious corner room. The room was a corner room as confirmed for this trip but apparently there are 3 big corner rooms and one small one. I even selected a higher price room to ensure my selection. When we arrived the room was the mini corner room. I immediately complained. The woman at the desk insisted that that was my selection and my fault. After traveling 15 hours I was not happy. Of course I complained and took the contact info for the General Manager who I immediately wrote. The GM, Brian Fahey, who is new to the job, took immediate action. He met me personally. Listened to my complaint and righted the situation to my satisfaction regardless whether I was at fault or not. His swift resolution of the problem changed my stubborn mind from not wanting to return to be back again. He also said there will be upgrades in service and the facility in the near future. Thanks Brian!

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The location is the only good thing about this hotel. The entry/lobby is deceiving because every time I walked by this spot from the street I always thought it looked so pretty. Little did I know how bad it was until I stayed.
Cons: To begin, the staff at the reception was far from friendly. She barely gave me eye contact. It was 5pm so roughly an hour before street parking was free. She told me it would cost $80 for the hotel to valet my car. It would have been nice if they would have offered to just take my car for the hour so that I could check in and then I could just street parking my car at 6. Instead I had to deal with it. As I got to my room, I noticed the carpets in my room were not vacuumed well. Next, I went into my bathroom. The floors were dirty there as well with hair and the top of the sink stop cap was missing. The sink stop part that was there was filled with black mold. See attached photo. Ugh. That night we awoke to a fire alarm on our floor that continuously went off. I immediately called concierge and they told me not to worry about it. It kept going off with no explanation. Needless to say, I slept horribly, wondering what was wrong. The next morning I woke up to a bill left at my door with 2 erroneous charges to my room from the mini bar. The snacks that they have there for you to purchase have been there for ages and have been opened! See photo. I don’t know who is running this place but it doesn’t seem like they know how to run it and how to treat customers. For what I had to pay, I cannot believe how far it was from a “luxury” hotel feel. The vibe at this hotel is all wrong. All the staff look down at you like you are bothering them. I will never stay here and I hope you don’t make the same expensive mistake I did. Don’t let the beautiful sidewalk facade trick you. It’s beautiful but a terrible experience!

Pros: It was in the perfect location for what we wanted to do.

Pros: Location is fantastic. Le CouCou is Michelin started and serves the most amazing breakfast! The bar ‘ The Blonde’ served us delicious cocktails. Lots of great restaurants and bars nearby too.
Cons: Rooms were a little on the small side but very comfortable. Wear and tear is starting to show a little on the hotel room walls which the hotel should keep a bit more fresh to stay top notch. Our air con was noisy but the staff arranged a new room without fuss.
6.7 Good
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: Entrance lobby was too basic / sparse. The bedroom window area was dirty and old and badly finished. The walls in the bedroom were damaged by lots of scuff marks, a bit sloppy all round. The library sitting area was a bit peculiar, not easy to get a drink, and the restricted bar area at the weekends was a pain. You essentially lose your bar service except for in the library area. The hotel is cashing in on selling tables for $1500 to the foolish so you can’t blame the hotel for cashing in on this market. But in the process the hotel suffers badly. I will give it a miss next time, there are many better hotels in the area and beyond.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Not much in truth. The location was good but thats about it.
Cons: The hotel room was one of the worst hotel rooms I have stayed in. It was absolutely minute and the bathroom was equally small. The pillows in the room were absolutely terrible and linen was "tired". When trying to check out this morning, and being in a rush to the airport, the front desk was not manned and I had to wait for a few minutes just to check. The hotel is definitely not worth the rate and I won't be staying at 11 Howard are recommending it.

Cons: We had to move room twice. First time we had no hot shower water and they couldn’t fix it. We were left alone to move our stuff from 25th to 4th. Any help offered: NO. Then we had a bad night sleep as the water pipes ran next to the bed and you could constantly pipes being flushed. On top the heating that was switched off by the central control switched itself on constantly during the night. Then we were asked to move rooms again and no one offered again any support. Then we decided to check out and to leave the hotel for good. We had an apology but still had to pay full price for the two nights. Anyhow, I know where never to return back to: Holiday Inn

Pros: Good location in the heart of Financial District, close to two metro station, plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Got a super low rate like $90 per night, so that was a good deal.
Cons: The hotel needs renovation, rooms and public places are quite old-dated. The air conditioning was coming from the last century and was extremely noisy. Had to call and ask reception for some standard disposals like cotton pads, shower cap, hairdryer, bathrobe, sleepers as they were not provided.

Pros: The buffet breakfast was good and some of the staff were excellent
Cons: Some of the days the room was not cleaned properly. Also, I had to ring the reception for a bath mat on more than 2 occasions.

Pros: Free chocolate chip cookie. Great toiletries. Comfortable bed. Really friendly staff - they were fantastic!
Cons: The wait for the elevators was ridiculous. One time we had to wait more than 10 minutes at the lobby floor before one came down. I understand this is to be expected as they only have 3 elevators servicing the whole hotel but I think there are things they can do to improve the wait for elevators. For example, requiring staff to take the stairs where possible. We experienced more than once staff taking the elevator between one floor (with no supplies so no need to use the elevator). There is no reason a staff member needs to take the elevator for one floor (or realistically, even 5 floors) if they are not carrying anything as it just adds to the wait for paying customers. The water tank for the coffee machine was dirty with no visible way to detach it so we couldn’t take it into the bathroom to give it a wash out. Was a pity as would have been good to utilise the free coffee.

Pros: Location was great. The room was clean.
Cons: Employees do the bare minimum, and they are clearly understaffed. The hotel does not have a place to temporarily park to check into the hotel. The employee attitudes are also not the greatest either.
