Pros: Location
Cons: Restaurant / Bar should be coordinated more with hotel / stay, .. i.e. we had to pay for a cup of coffee in the morning after we had a small cup in our room. TV is off to side in bedroom and can't tilt.
7.0 Good
Pros: The dining room and location
Cons: The city shut off our water for repairs, I had rotten food a previous guest left in my ice bucket and housekeeping never checked, and I was charged a $19.95 fee per day and told it was for the perks.?? This was never told in advance.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and location. Room clean and well maintained.
Cons: One negative was the relatively small pool and hot tub area was over run on Friday evening with 20 plus people there for a party. There was clearly just one guest that had invited too many others that prevented use by any other guests.Wish hotel regulated
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location!! Staff was amazing! Super nice and helpful. I was one of “those” people who constantly needed directions and/or recommendations. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Cons: I loved the property. If I had to mention something, it would be getting coffee in the morning. It wasn’t difficult, but it could have been more convenient. My time was limited....trying to grab a quick cup of coffee before a meeting. Craft was near empty...which was fine. At least I got a half cup. Then I ended up having to wait about 15 minutes to get my change back. For the price I paid for the room, they should have comped a half cup of coffee as a courtesy. Seriously, not a big deal though. Everything else was fantastic.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I like that the front desk gave us bottled water, and were there to help with any questions we had had. They printed out our tickets for a concert that we were going to see. I also liked that all the employees at the hotel were very nice.
Cons: I think that the valet parking was kind of expensive. I believe the hotel should make it known that you may have to pay for valet, or find your own parking when coming to stay. I was never aware of this until I was stuck in traffic, trying to find the hotel and trying to figure out parking. It's upsetting finding out last second that I need to pay 72$ for valet, if I do not want to waste time parking.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: It seems a little outdated.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very enjoyable stay, clean, and staff was outstanding.

7.0 Good
Pros:
Cons: Staff pounding on my door early Sunday morning when I had a Do Not Disturb sign on the door was quite disturbing.
6.0 Good
Pros: This hotel was in a fantastic location and staff was extremely kind.
Cons: Unfortunately the rooms were dated and that alone made the experience not as enjoyable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The separation of bedroom and sitting room. Great bar and bar service. Service in the restaurant
Cons: Not a good menu for breakfast or dinner The rooms are somewhat tired.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location to The Mag Mike
Cons: We could hear the elevator all night long. Restaurant closed early for private event. Rude BMO employee (staying in the hotel for private event) pushed past my children to run onto the elevator and didn’t like when we confronted him. Mumbled expletives at us when we exited. Fun times

Pros:
Cons: We booked 4 rooms initially and then added a 5th room. 3 of the rooms took 30+ minutes to complete check in as they could not find the bookings in their system. In addition we emailed the hotel a week earlier to request meeting room space, email never replied to and when we arrived and inquired very slow to resolve the issue. Ended up booking a 5th room to act as a meeting space but having been told that would be ready in 1 hour, then had to wait 4 hours.

Pros: The most amazing hotel ever! Very spacious apartment style room that had a thoughtful layout. Windows on every wall-lots of light. The bathroom suite had a separate tub, separate shower and toilet with door. Excellent location, walk to everything.
Cons: Everything was excellent - will stay here again. I won't even look for a better deal. This is it!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The lobby area was clean as was our room. It was comfortable enough
Cons: Getting to the hotel was a challenge (using google maps put us under ground) The front desk clerk was incompetent - we had paid for our room in full prior to arrival & she kept asking us for a “credit” card for payment (the card I used to pay is both debit & credit but she “insisted” I give her a plain credit card). I finally told her that the hotel had already taken the money out of my account on “this particular card” then she looked at her computer & saw that I was correct. But ran the card for $100 in case we used “incidentals.” (Haven’t checked my card yet to see if they charged us “extra” for anything) The 2nd thing that happened the next morning: we went downstairs for breakfast & on our return to the room neither one of our keys worked in the door to open it. Luckily the housekeeping people were on our floor to open the room for us - this was around 10am & check out wasn’t til noon. We just gathered our things & left.

6.5 Good
Pros: Perfect location, easy access to shopping, restaurants and museums
Cons: A/C unit blew like a box fan and was quite annoying and not adjustable, toilet clogged and took time for staff to assist, we had a rental car and parking onsite was convenient but outrageously priced...in hindsight I would have booked elsewhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Suite type room for affordable price. Wonderful access to Michigan Ave, Art Museum, and river. Breakfast included was great.
Cons: Charging $300 for potential incidental usage is exorbitant.
7.4 Good
Pros: Great downtown location
Cons: An elevator was down for a major overhaul, fine. One of the three remaining was getting stuck on floors for extended periods of time, and we heard it even fell four floors while someone was on it. Customer’s safety is clearly not a number one concern for this hotel.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Great price and location.
Cons: The bathroom was not clean, there was a previous guest's hair all over the shower walls. It was pretty disgusting.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The check in process was easy and efficient - super friendly front desk folks - the decor and comfort of the room was great the views from our floor were fantastic. The valet staff was very friendly and efficient. House keeping took care of our needs and requests
Cons: We could not get a luggage carrier to bring our bags down the last day - one of the elevators were not working - the ice machine on our floor did not work properly. The valet parking was way to expensive for a guest accommodation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The reviews worried me but this hotel is amazing and the staff is very helpful. We arrived late (1:30 am) and was given one of their vacation rentals and were told we would need to move to another room the next morning. They upgraded us to a corner room suite for our full stay. The view of the river was perfect!
Cons: Facing the Trump Tower.......
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from room 3814 is just great....
Cons: No parking.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the hotel and I plan on staying there a lot more
Cons: I was charged three times and I’m now waiting for some charges to be reversed
7.7 Good
Pros: Riverfront central location next to Michigan Avenue. The view outside the window of the river is great, Trump Tower is a matter of taste. The gym is fantastic with nice equipment, a great view and it is empty in the mornings. Hoyt's is a nice bar.
Cons: No minibar or snacks for kids. Big complimentary Bottled water, creamer and sugar for coffee are prerequisites for a grand hotel. Parking is tight even with valet parking with congestion outside the hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanliness, room size was really good. The view is awesome! Many restaurants around, transportation, etc...
Cons: There is no microwave what is bad. The thermostat looks like not working, not sure. The room temperature was not bad but we would like a little warmer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: That shower in the king room was to die for.
Cons: No air vents in the bathroom.
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff was excellent. Very helpful, respectful, and pleasant. The doorman, Mark, had exceptional guest service skills. I felt completely taken care of.
Cons: The room was hot and muggy, which didn't change despite having the thermostat set as low as it would go. The elevators took FOREVER. It was not uncommon to wait 10-15 minutes once calling the elevator to have it arrive. Food in the hotel was fine, nothing special and expensive.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is superb. Pretty near the Union Station and to other landmarks. Really at the heart of Chicago.
Cons: How close the rooms' doors are to each other, being in the corner and surrounded by 2-3 doors (?). It's pretty distracting to hear the doors from the other rooms getting open and closed throughout the day. I also hoped that there were mats on the bathroom or at least slippers for the guests.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Didn’t partake in hotel breakfast. The bed was very comfortable
Cons: Nothing. I was delighted with my choice of botel
6.0 Good
Pros: the location was good, i didn't eat breakfast. i liked the free water on my floor.
Cons: just overall atmosphere wasn't great. the shower wasn't my favorite.
7.7 Good
Pros: Great location, staff was pretty friendly. Nice having the Elephant & Castle attached for food and drinks, no problem bringing beverages from the bar back to the room.
Cons: The king bed we booked was very clearly 2 twin beds pushed together with a zippered-in gap filler that sort of worked. So it was wide but there was a dip in the middle and my feet were hanging off of the foot of the bed, I'm 5'9"... Some trash that wasn't ours under the bedside table when we arrived. As others have said the walls are very thin.

Pros: In room breakfast was fantastic. Hotel has a very sexy vibe
Cons: A small table for in room dining would have put it over the top. I really didn’t like the wire basket in the shower- my razor kept falling through. It seemed “low end” for W. I also feel like there should be at least a foot prop in the shower for women to shave their legs...it was awkward.
8.0 Excellent
Pros:
Cons: Hotel rooms are too dark! Hallways of hotel are WAY TOO DARK!!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was amazing, the location and the bartender Friday evening was super nice.
Cons: The only deal breaker for me to stay there again is the parking, $68 seems like a RIP off- please get a different company. Also, the bed was hard and very uncomfortable, even the pillows. Blankets tucked to tight & blanket was not comfortable.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast, though pricey, was very good. Location was excellent. Bath robe was a nice touch.
Cons: Room was small, especially the bathroom which was tiny. No refrigerator in room is a negative. Overall, not up to W standards when compared to properties I stayed at in other cities (Los Angeles comes to mind).

Pros: The location was perfect - walking distance to the millennium park and the Christmas market, lots of food options nearby (Pizano’s right around the corner) and surrounded by bus stops and subways. Our room was very clean and cozy. The staff was very welcoming. Something else I really liked about this hotel (not sure if other practice this), was that they would check in with you about your stay through text messages, on the number you provide at the beginning of your stay, which made it so much easier to resolve any issues.

Pros: Location, two on-site restaurants (had a wonderful prime rib sandwich at one), plus to find out this was the birthplace of what we know as the Brownie. (which I also had, quite delicious). Great price for a Monday night stay.
Cons: No coffee-maker in the room. (granted there is a Starbucks on the ground floor, but still....the room had a mini-bar, so there's no excuse) Not a decent view from the room, but that's okay. Bathroom vent was overdue for a cleaning.

Pros: The location is very convenient.
Cons: The first night, we experienced a broken shower head holder. The staff said they will fix it the next day, but they did not. The second night, we called for shower caps and waited for more than an hour, nobody came. The service is really terrible.
1.0 Poor
Pros:
Cons: Palmer house has new policy and if you "move" anything on The mini bar they automatically charge your card, even though you didnt eat it. I had hundreds of dollars of charge for "moving" snacks. Ridiculous!!!!! And the staff was rude when I called.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked our room. In the past, our room was more like a suite, which we loved. We were a little disappointed. We love the lobby, lobby/bar. So beautiful! There was a tall, thin, black gentleman on the 23rd floor who was so welcoming, gracious, and engaging. He made us feel special. I wish we remembered his name so we could give him proper recognition!
Cons: PLEASE tell the doorman not to tell guests that the taxi fare to Midway airport is the same as Uber. He was definitely pushing the taxi for whatever reason. We paid almost twice the Uber fare. Not happy with that!

Cons: Not really a concern or a “con” of this place because we honestly loved our stay here, but you can hear the noise from the neighboring rooms and people passing by in the hallway. We got lucky with our neighbors and noice wasn’t an issue whatsoever. Honestly though, for the value you get, a few seconds of passing by conversations aren’t that big of a deal and you don’t really notice them in the end.

6.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: This hotel is old and dated and as a result they are in need of a total overhaul from new faucets that don’t leak all night to phones that work (we couldn’t even use to call front desk) to new tiles and carpet that didn’t look dingy a
1.0 Poor
Pros: The design and decor of the lobby and bar area were amazing but once I reached my room I was not happy because I was expecting more from what I previously saw.
Cons: My room was dirty, the ice machines on my floor and the next top and bottom floors were not working or present. I did not like how the TV remote offered a movie button but there were no in room selections of movies available. It was noisy.

Pros: This hotel is in the middle of everything which makes it easy to get to, buses and trains. Food is really close also. I didn't think it was this good untill I got here.
Cons: The bed needed to be turned over or changed because it seems like a fat person been in the same spot and I kept rolling to the edge.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Bathroom was small. The rooftop lounge was non existent. The closest I’ve machine was four floors away.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: the location was great, but I think the owners use this location to prevent the need to update the hotel and keep it clean
Cons: the building is very run down: peeling and molding wallpaper, dead bug swashed on walls, "blood"(or something) on the inside of our bedroom door, heater falling off the wall, bathroom walls and cabinets falling apart (I have photos if you'd like to see)
