Pros: Hotel staff helpful and restaurant food good.
Cons: Cab't think of anything
Okay 5.0
Cons: took a long time to find my reservation. charged more without explanation cleaning lady would not allow us to get back into room to look for our forgotten item. No recycle
Excellent 10.0
Cons: Free wifi and free continental breakfast option would be huge improvements.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: location
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Beds are good and clean
Cons: I don't like that I have to pay for everything! ! Like the Barking and WiFi ?? Because with $139 .I could find better service's in another hotel . The price for the hotel was too much. Barking $65 too much. WiFi $9 ???
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We did have drinks and wings at the bar the night we checked in, and the wings were really good. The gentleman who checked us in Saturday afternoon was very nice, very polite.
Cons: We didn't eat breakfast here, as we had planned. They seemed a little busy and there was only one server we could see. Also, the tv hotel info said there was a buffet, which was incorrect for our location, so that was a disappointment. We went someplace else for breakfast.
Good 7.5
Pros: Great pillows!!
Cons: Front guest staff not overly friendly
Excellent 9.5
Pros: The free shuttle service was a huge help in getting around and staff was very accommodating!!
Cons: Was a bit pricey and breakfast was an additional cost.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Very quiet, convenient to United Center (was there to cover fights), and easy. Shuttle was great, and staff friendly/helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
Cons: Was fond of everything. Couldn't complain.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: clean, well kept hotel
Cons: parking was an extra cost no free breakfast
Okay 5.7
Pros: Room was clean, bed was reasonably comfortable and Giant TV.
Cons: Hotel itself just seemed kind of old & in need of some refurbishing. For the price, I was expecting something a little nicer. I was stranded in Chicago overnight due to weather and had nothing with me. All the front desk could give me was a couple packets of toothpaste to brush my teeth with my finger.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved the shuttle service! We used it to go to and from the United Center and to the train stop when we departed.
Cons: We were satisfied with everything about this hotel.

Excellent 9.5
Pros: The staff was fantastic! They made sure I had everything I needed and went above and beyond what I expected. The location was great - I didn't feel caught up or overwhelmed in the city like I do when I get closer to downtown Chicago. 10/10
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Dave's team are so fantastic! The property is a little bit old, but the resources available including a good bed, great pillows, sheets and towels, and excellent breakfast and a very good reception make this worth the while. The breakfast was the best ever I have had in the U.S. We also have some water and coke in the refrigerator for free. The restaurant of the property is simply fantastic.
Cons: The old construction of the property and the Internet is a little bit slow.
Good 7.0
Pros: Awesome breakfast! Quaint place!
Cons: Noisy being above the kitchen
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Historic building, great food/restaurant (gospel brunch on Sundays sounds like a special experience), wonderfully attentive staff/owner, very accommodating. Very comfortable bed/linens, nice to have kitchenette/fridge, has two air conditioners and fans. Feels like I moved into an historic neighborhood for a few days. If you want a comfy, if dated, getaway on the south side of Chicago, this could be a fun adventure...
Cons: This is not a hotel and it’s not modern (except Roku TV and fingerprint door lock - currently (June 2019) the fingerprint lock is malfunctioning). It’s a 100 year old building which looks and feels like a snapshot of early 20th century history. The 11th Ward room was filled with historic local memorabilia. The entrance in the alley between buildings was different for me, but seemed safe in the end. Take a look at the pictures to see if this is the place for you!
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Good location, safe neighborhood, off street parking, walking distance to White Sox,local restaurants, parks, churches.Exceptionally clean large 2bdrm suite, comfortable beds.Excellent hosts! Quick to offer assistance and information. Breakfast was extraordinary! Ample portions, delicious!
Cons: There wasn’t anything not to like! Full size refrigerator in suite, no microwave. Reminder: As stated there are stairs, no elevator. We were offered luggage assistance if needed. Upon arrival at the Polo Inn the phone number to call Kevin, your host, is clearly posted on the window by the front door of the Inn. Call it! Kevin will come downstairs to greet you and escort you to your suite!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The owner was very nice. The rooms were clean and very elegant decor!
Good 7.5
Pros: Vey nice and helpful owners and staff.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was very good! Staff, especially Kevin, was friendly and helpful. Room was charming and clean.
Cons: Room was on the third floor and there was a long spiral staircase to get there (no elevator), this was inconvenient, but also added to the charm of the place. It's an older building so things like this are to be expected.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I can't imagine you'll find any other place as cool as this! Your "suite" is an entire old school Chicago apartment in a really neat neighborhood. The suites are really big, comfy, clean. The owner and manager are just the nicest people. If you're lucky, you will get to meet Ronan, the rescue dog. Get up early and go for a run or walk as the neighborhood wakes. Be sure to visit the park on 29th and Halsted that used to be a quarry and take a few pics of downtown from the top of the hill. And then linger over an amazing breakfast in the Polo Cafe. And swing past 31st street beach, too - - a quick bike ride or drive from the B and B.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Breakfast was really nice!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Every morning, we were served Creme Brulee French Toast as well as a wonderful breakfast that was different every day. The staff was kind enough to drop us off at our daily destination every morning as well. Everyone was very nice and highly attentive to our needs. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, it was great!

Excellent 9.3
Pros: The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I checked in around 8:30pm on June 7, 2019 and asked a few questions of the front desk clerk. That dude knew everything. The hotel itself was also very organized in assisting with Chicago travel. It was amazing.
Cons: The room was very comfortable and spacious. There were a few spots, mainly in the bathroom that showed it's age. Also, Saturday night was very loud. Lots of people coming and going after 1:30am. Some Harleys arrived after 2am and were very loud.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Although it was a budget minded hotel, the staff treated you like a king.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: I did like the private entrance, the breakfast, and the staff, especially Steve was extremely helpful.
Cons: I didn't like the loud airplanes
Good 7.5
Pros: Nice staff, clean rooms, good breakfast
Cons: A little pricy for a motel
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Room cleaness and staff are nice and ready to help. Tiny and all-can-eat breakfast. Wash and dryer room was convenient to us for keeping fresh our clothes. Drinks and ice are available if you need it.
Cons: The location is far to center. However is accessible to orange line to downtown.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location was nice. Lots of local restaurants and Mexican places.
Mediocre 2.5
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Okay 4.5
Pros: It was easy to get downtown. People at the desk were pleasant. The breakfast was decent.
Cons: The room had a moldy smell that slapped you in the face as soon as you walked in. The rooms need to be renovated. There were no usb outlets to charge your phone. The room wasn’t as clean as it could be. Popcorn and peanut shells were found on the floor but my husband and I were eating any,
Good 6.8
Pros: Price and location
Cons: Small room, some mold in bathroom, one thin blanket on bed, loose toilet seat.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Close to Midway Airport and staff were so helpful and friendly. And shuttle service was magnificent!
Cons: Nope
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very spacious room. Close to the train station so easy to get downtown. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The orange juice was too watery.
Good 7.0
Pros: Trip was an emergency stay due to cancelled flight. I liked the location close to Midway airport and the free shuttle bus to the airport. Breakfast buffet was good standard fare.
Cons: Stale smell; probably from a previous smoker in the room. Noisy air conditioner. Broken pavement. For only $10 to $20 more, much better rooms are available elsewhere (You get what you pay for). 32% room taxes!

Excellent 10.0
Pros: #1, convenience of location. #2, free parking #3, excellent computer center #4, most friendly staff #5, spacious 2 queen bed room
Cons: Didn't like the shower curtain. It was totally inadequate.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast diner was good. Very friendly
Cons: Lots of sirens at all hours, near the medical center. Pay more for a room not facing that side.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: I love this hotel and is the hotel of choice when I come to Chicago
Cons: I hated my room ... It was handicap accessible....I am not handicapped.. plus room at end of hall with the E train running all night ... hard to sleep. L
Good 7.5
Pros: The room was massive, clean and nice. The breakfast was lovely even if it's not free.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: It was a convenient spot. Close to a bus stop and o my a few blocks from the train. Plus there was a gated parking lot. Oh and the bath tub was huge, I'm not big on baths but it was just a must. You could swim in that thing.
Cons: The wifi didn't work at all, which was really inconvenient .
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location was close to my workplace and was very quiet.
Cons: Elevators a little slow.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: It was a good price and the bed was comfortable.
Cons: The rooms look like was old and everything around that area looked run down.
Poor 1.0
Pros: Staff
Cons: Location
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Nice room. Nice bed. Nice bathtub!
Cons: The neighbourhood is ok at daytime, but not when it is dark. There was nothing to drink around or in the hotel. It was a pitty that people put their trash in the corridors.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: large clean rooms comfy bed
Cons: no fault of the hotel but could hear good bit of street noise traffic , sirens, around bedtime 11pm
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent staff.
Cons: I wish it were closer to the train.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was spacious, very clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The free parking was awesome!
Cons: The name of the hotel is misleading; the hotel is closer to Chinatown than South Loop. The location was not the best area, I felt safe enough to stay there but I did not feel safe walking .5 miles alone to the nearest cafe for coffee the next morning.

Good 7.0
Pros: It was nice. Pretty clean, they cleaned it nicely every day, changed towels and everything (except for the floor). Location is in a quiet area
Cons: The floor might need more cleaning. We booked it last moment, so I think we could have gotten more value/money if we booked something in advance. Didn’t like the smell beat reception area, but on out floor and in a room everything was good.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was great and the staff was awesome
Cons: I did not like the parking and our neighbors was making a lot of noise. Paper thin walls
Okay 5.8
Pros: It was easy to get in and out
Cons: The pillows were very uncomfortable. The comforter was really thin. No coffe shops nearby. Very few restaurants around.
Good 7.5
Pros: Clean, close to public transportation, has fridge and microwave...
Cons: Even though it say there is no reservation needed for car parking, lot was full; luckily, the hotel is next to a public multi-story car park. There should be at least one bottle of water in the room (although there was a coffee machine).
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Loved it!
Cons: Parking situation
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Nice clean hotel with friendly staff. Rooms are mostly quiet and cozy.
Cons: There are soap dispensers in the shower for shampoo, conditioner and body gel, but I arrived and conditioner and body gel were already empty. Thought they would check and refill the next day, but they didn’t.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Cleanliness, comfort & efficiency. Also, our hotel clerk, was very helpful getting us checked in
Cons: no.
Good 7.5
Pros: The staff at the hotel is very friendly and provides exceptional customer service. The location is safe and convenient for taking the train/public transit. The room was very clean and the WiFi connection was good. The gym is small but has all the essentials.
Cons: Breakfast was not included, or at least this was not made clear to me at check-in. I expected a larger space for the price of the room. Our stay would have been a little more comfortable if they had placed a few more towels in the bathroom and replaced the conditioner after we ran out on the first night.
Good 7.5
Pros: Bed was comfy. Lots of storage. Art was great. Overall hotel quality and value.
Cons: Not as clean as it should have been (hair in the shower from previous guest, and a couple other less egregious things). Relatively new reno but some of the finishing work not so good. Not enough counter space in bathroom.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location was great for what we needed.
Cons: Could have used more chairs in the room to begin with. I'm sure if we had asked they would have accommodated but since they knew there were 3 people in the room it would have been nice to have them there to begin with.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was excellent
Okay 5.5
Pros: Nice location, nice area. Staff was always very polite.
Cons: There is an odd smell in the lobby and the room was not very clean. Would be great if they could run a broom across the floor between guests. Also, the rooms are a little small, which was fine for my purposes but I could have done without the full-size refrigerator taking up so much space.

Pros: This Hotel has one of the best views of the city from China Town. It is also located right next to the China Town Center. Best value for your money (Table top fridges could have made the queen rooms more appealing) with the upgraded furniture. I got a great deal, judging by the fact that i relocated to another hotel Downtown which ended up being lile mocing from grace to grass.

Cons: Limited menu for breakfast.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Very nice, Very clean, Nice staff, Close to downtown if you want to walk and 2 minutes to train station
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Location excellent. Breakfast filling. Staff have been very friendly and helpful. Though I was scheduled to be in the top of the bunk, the fellow found me a bottom bad, which is important when you are older and need to get up in the night for the bathroom.
Cons: Could have offered muesli and brown bread, maybe even an alternative to dairy milk.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location, comfy beds,
Cons: Bit noisy.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything....
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Near to train towards airport, safe, just tobealk 2 blocks.
Cons: Everything ok. Good por price.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Close to Blue line (it goes directly to O´Hare airport) and Union Train Station. Downtown is near by as well.
Cons: It was not possible to find any details which would indicate, that clients are welcomed. Staff looked bored, information paper was full of exclamation marks ("!!!") saying what one should do not. Room was very basic and it is difficult to say whether the place is good for alergic people.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Good place because metro lines and buses terminal are not far and you can go to the Loop walking.
Cons: The air conditionning did not work. We left food in the fridge, someone stole it. The fire detector of the room was out of service (on morre battery) and we had to disconnect it ourselves. They did not even give for free the bagage facility even after!
Okay 5.0
Pros: The whole staff was nice, flexible and friendly. The mattress/bed was pretty good too. The location was good, close to subway and good restaurants in Greektown and trendy restaurants.
Cons: Small and older hostel in Greektown Chicago, the facilities were outdated, and washrooms had lots of stain and old things which gave a feeling that it was not properly cleaned. The bedroom sheets were all wrinkled, which again, gave the idea that was not cleaned or that it had been used by someone else. The lockers were too small, which didn't fit a standard carry on luggage/bag, therefore had to leave my luggage out, but thankfully didn't have any issues with that! The breakfast was a big disappointment, as some reviews said it was great, but it was literally hard-boiled eggs and toast in the restaurant next door to the hostel. Keep in mind you have to pay $2 for towels and 2$ to keep your luggage if you arrive earlier and the pictures are not really updated.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The letter asking if we'd like to see other rooms
Cons: Everything was great
Good 7.5
Pros: clean hostel, friendly staff
Cons: some of the guests were inconsiderate and stupid

Cons: Enjoyed my stay. Even though it was a smoke free room.. We still got it in
Okay 5.0
Pros: It's proximity to downtown Chicago was great. Free parking was a plus. Secured access to floor was reassuring, as not the best neighborhood.
Good 6.0
Pros: The only thing that was good about this place was the staff and the restaurant next door, it was close to what we were going to see but way over priced.
Cons: It was old
Poor 1.0
Cons: It was very bad not clean , mold , walls was peeling the bath tub had hair in cold not takin a bad very gross the neighborhood was very scary out there was a died was a black bird out side saw the cleaning guy just around it and was still ,not happy
Good 7.0
Pros: The restaurant next door served a fabulous breakfast. Location was great.Right around the corner from the Indiana train Station. Also a supermarket called Marianos where they serve buffet meals has got to be the best ever. It's a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Cons: Some Bums are around the area , but to me they seemed harmless. And folks hanging around the liquor store across the street.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: I liked how spacious our room felt and the location of the hotel was very convenient for travel by subway.
Cons: There could be more lights in the room. Our door had some problems closing without a lot of force and the ceiling leaked a little but it was also very hot outside and I'm sure all A/Cs were blowing and causing condensation.
Mediocre 2.5
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: Great misrepresentation on booking.com site. Photos have been altered. This place is nasty and appears to be a drug dealer paradise. I wouldn’t even get out of my car. The staff would not refund my money. I seriously would not let my dog stay here.
Okay 5.0
Pros: The AC was not strong enough. Water faucet was broken. Tv was broken. The hotel is so old.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Clean room, comfortable bed...
Cons: Only one table lamp is available in the room, so the room was not bright enough....
Poor 1.0
Cons: Half ceiling leaked, bathroom sink was clogged upon checking in, window was broke and wouldn't shut. Front desk was extremely rude at check in and my concern about room. Floor was soaked from leak. Lights were broke. I have pictures upon request of issues
Okay 4.3
Cons: The shower was unsafe. The bath tub did not have a slip-resistant surface and there were no grab bars in the tub. While showering in the morning after the first night, I lost my footing on the slippery bath tub floor. Since there were no grab bars to help prevent falling, I fell out of the tub and hit my head on the toilet. I wound up spending the rest of the day dealing with incident reports at the hotel, Chicago Emergency Services, Chicago Police and going to the University of a Chicago’s Adult ER to obtain a CT Scan. The room telephones weren’t connected in any of a the hotel rooms. The elevator inspection certificate was from 3 years ago. We requested records of safety inspections for the hotel but they were not made available for us to review. The string of occurrences (including the fall from the tub) led me to believe it was an unsafe place to stay.
Mediocre 3.3
Cons: The location scared my wife. The hotel is very old.

Pros: It was very comfortable
Cons: Wasnt the cleanest
Okay 4.5
Pros: Smoke detector hanging by the wires. Not working.
Cons: Noise factor. Cheep motel. A little scary.
Okay 5.0
Pros: It was at a good location
Cons: It was not worth spending over $100. There were holes in the walls/graffiti in the hallways, very dirty walkways and it smelled like smoke. The wasn’t even a mirror in the bathroom and the front desk man called us every 5 minutes after I already told him were packing our stuff up and would be checking out shortly. It was only 11:15 am. Let the guest pack up and get ready to leave in peace if they’re spending over $100 to stay at your dump motel.
Mediocre 2.5
Pros: Raj the employee at front desk was great.
Cons: This is one of those motels that looks like the ones you see someone stay in in the middle of nowhere in the movies. Very old. Windows don't lock. Everything looks filthy (carpet stains, bath tub dirty, comforter had a cigarette burn, white sheets were stained, headboard had either blood or crayon on it, lamp shade had mildew). Fire alarm kept going off in the middle of the night. Lady at front desk said someone was smoking in non-smoking room so she kept shutting it off. It's probably illegal to shut off alarm without investigating what's going on and she also said she had no way of finding who was setting it off.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Incredibly good value for the price. Very clean, spotless rooms, very great location. Also lots of great restaurant options in the immediate vicinity and an easy walk or car share ride to the convention center.
Cons: One tiny thing: I didn't receive a washcloth with my towels, and there were some repairs needed to the inside of the shower. The showerhead could be replaced, for example. But not enough to dull the experience!
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Stayed in Chicago for Lollapalooza. It was pretty hot and the ac was amazing when I got back from the festival. The bed was also very comfortable. It made getting up the next day much easier.
Cons: The water pressure in the shower wasn't great but not the worst experience I've had showering at a Hotel.
Okay 5.0
Cons: There is no elevator and we were on the third floor so we had to carry our luggage up there flights of steps. And the tv only had one channel.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great value and location. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Good 7.0
Pros: Quick walk to the Red Line train.
Cons: Hard bed. Phone didn’t work. We didn’t have a housekeeping/DND sign. Room is so small I couldn’t lay out my yoga mat.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Location only.
Cons: Customer service. Cheap facilities. Room & bath quality.
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: Close to train
Cons: Small, dirty, didn’t feel safe leaving at night.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Nothing! I never see such box hotel in my life.
Cons: Everything-
Good 6.8
Pros: The room set up. Each bed had it's own room, tv, air conditioning
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable, rooms were small, hotel was too much. Public refrigerator and microwave.
Okay 5.5
Pros: The location
Cons: The wifi wasn't working. The room is too small that you have to jump over the bed to go to the bathroom. The hotel didn't answer our calls before we arrived.
Okay 5.8
Pros: My two main priorities for a place to stay in Chicago was to feel safe and be close to the city trains. This hotel hit both of those marks, but definitely didn’t hit anything else.
Cons: The hotel WiFi was terrible, I could never get connected the 4 days I was there. The room has just the bare necessities, nothing else, not even a bath mat for when you step out of the shower. No hair drier, only 1 pillow....like I said just very bare.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Excellent value for the money. Clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Safe neighborhood near the Red Line.
