10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was exceptional. A really lovely hotel.
Cons: A bit confusing to find your way up from the subway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was sick and ask the staff how I could see a doctor.. they firstly asked me what went wrong, then they called several clinics. Finally they referred a nearby doctor who was just a 10 minute walking distance. Most important, the doctor can speak English.. when I reached the clinic, the team there was prepared and expecting me. Indeed, the hotel staff did call the clinic to prepare for me. The hotel staff made my medication smooth and ease. The staff even asked about the status of my illness during check out.. Customer centric service with care in mind. Excellent
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Very conveniently located in the city.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is good except the room is little bit smaller!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Small but well formed rooms. Great toiletries provided and coffee machine in room. Comfy bed Large bath and shower / wet room Hotel is in a mall plaza with lots of restaurants
Cons: Quite noisy during the night due to tarpaulin on construction outside the window not secured down properly.

Pros: Everything. All clean, great location (10 m ride on subway to the airport, 5 m to main train station) Staff helpful and kind and try everything to help. Beds (bunk for us) were comfy. Enough toilets (on every floor like 4) and bathrooms for everyone. Very spacey and room for luggage and storage lockers. Every morning new towel free. Nice balcony and kitchen/resting place (books, tv, vending machines). Very recommended place to stay the night or couple!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The place is extremely convenient..walking distance from Kawabata Subway. The bathroom and toilet are very clean. My favorite place would be the 9th floor resting area. They do provide bread in the morning. Will definitely come back again.
Cons: Nothing

Hotel Okura Fukuoka - Fukuoka - Building
3
8.8 Excellent (3,955 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel Okura Fukuoka, you'll be centrally located in Fukuoka, within a 5-minute walk of Fukuoka Asian Art Museum and Fukuoka Anpanman Children's Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Event facilities at this hotel consist of conference space and a meeting room. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel with excellent service, nice and helpful staff, delicious breakfast and very good located.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Food was very good at coffee shop and at Teppan restaurant. Not so good at the Chinese restaurant
Cons: Being served catsup with the crispy duck
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location, attentiveness unsurpassed, cleanliness, outside restaurant recommendations —from fugu to bone broth basic ramen — all excellent. Truly deserving of first class rating.
Cons: Like most Japanese lodging, a bit tight for two 6’2” men, father and son. We managed, but suitcases, backpacks, etc had us moving furniture. No solution, other than room upgrade it would seem. More room space, with same amenities, would have been *****. Additionally, the exercise/pool facilities were amazing -BUT it should be clear that use costs you plenty. Room size, additional cost for access to gym/pool would be nice in package or to know clearly in advance.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, good amount of choices and authentic.
Cons: Location was a bit distant from major commercial/shopping areas.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, clean
6.7 Good
Pros: The staff were consistently helpful and attentive.
Cons: The room could use a do over. Everything was old and slightly worn. Worst of all, it was cluttered: it was as if the hotel was so busy trying to provide for every contingency, filling every empty space with something that might be useful to someone, sometime, that they forgot to leave room for the guests’ own belongings. Literally, I had a square foot of space on the 8 foot sink counter for my toiletries, etc. The bathroom was very old fashioned and reminded me of those I came across in Japan 15 years ago. A common complaint in earlier reviews I’d read on several sites, which the management continues to ignore, is that breakfast is served cold. Not room temperature: ice cold. Eggs Benedict should not be cold, nor should the Hollandaise be gelid. The Western buffet selections were severely limited, so unless you’re an adventurous eater, and don’t mind fish and soup for breakfast, you might best look for some place in the area to have breakfast.

Cons: Nothing at all.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: location
Cons: only smoking room on lobby
9.7 Excellent
Cons: I had been staying at a luxury double bed room over 5 times and it was to my surprise that the room I booked is such a tiny room eventhough I had added Yen2600 to exchange to a bigger room. At the end I have to pay extra Yen8000 to upgrade to the room type I stayed before which is something I did not expect. I once paid HK$780 (approx) for the luxury double bed but for the current stay, I paid double!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient location even it’s rainy day & it provides good quality amenities except for the toothbrush!
Cons: M
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good service
Cons: Small rooms
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location: a couple of blocks from train station, many restaurants around. Nice, sizeable room. Free internet. Modern, very clean, quiet rooms. Helpful staff.
Cons: Getting to the hotel from the airport is best done by taxi if you have big bags -- there's no escalator at the subway stop. Lobby restaurant is expensive and selection is not all that interesting -- but you can walk to several good eating places in and around the station.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: 7-10 minutes walking distance from train station is acceptable. Free coffee in the lobby is a special bonus.
Cons: I have already requested a quiet room when I made the booking. However, they offer us a room that near the railway and so it is noise until the train service closed. The main point is the window is not double glazing and so it is noise.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very close to Hakata station - excellent location to be in. Very clean and modern room. Helpful staff. Free coffee on ground floor.

Cons: sometimes the staff cant speak english
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff and reception speak good English. I paid exactly the same price that I was booking, no hidden fees etc. The interiors are nice from the entrance to the room, and official photos are true. Cleanliness everywhere. Convenient location in 3 minutes walk to Hakata shinkansen/train/subway station. The breakfast in Japanese restaurant was good and food is healthy and of high quality, however same menu every day was a bit boring and there was not so many dishes to choose from.
Cons: I was prepared that the room was so small that I could not find a place for my small suitcase, nothing surprising. The street noise of nearby construction work was a little bit disturbing, window could be more soundproof.
8.3 Excellent

8
8.6 Excellent (4,371 reviews)
Overview Reviews
It is located in the Canal City Hakata complex, a multi- purpose center, fronting the Naka River, in the city center and next to the entertainment and business districts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a lovely stay at last leg of our holiday in Fukuoka. 1. the room was big and spacious and so was the twin beds and bathroom. However the bath tub was huge and had no aid like hand rails to get out of the huge tub as it was very deep to get out. 2. there were an amenities list in the room that you can "borrow" from the hotel like organic shampoo or moisturizing tissues etc...and what "cannot be taken" but borrow like the types of pillows etc. 3. there is an Nespresso machine in the room as well as tea bags for free consumption. Did not use the mini bar. 4. the hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating to a certain extend in Japanese culture. Loved the fact they are able to help hold one of my luggages for 6 days for when I checked in after my trip around Kyushu. And they bought it to my room on my checkin. However I suggest to check with the hotel 1st like I did for confirmation on holding luggages. 5. the location is excellent as there is a huge mall next to it as well as the Seiryu Park where the outdoor stalls called yatai are at night. Hakata Station is about 10mins walk from Grand Hyatt. Thank you Grand Hyatt Fukuoka for a wonderful but short stay. Enjoyed your hospitality.
Cons: The bathtub was too high/deep for me to get out. Please add some aid to get out of tub. There are not enough hanging area in the bathroom like for hanging the hand towels, etc.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: cleanliness in the room and price a bit too high
5.8 Okay
Pros: Overall it is a good location hotel. Descent.
Cons: Don’t expect any help from hotel staff with luggage. They merely stood there watching you carrying heavy luggage without offering any help. Disappointed on this.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was quite good except the bacon was not crispy. Perhaps they can add muesli and oatmeal to the menu. My mother stayed at the universal room and she was happy about the the room having a lot of space for her to move about with her walker and wheelchair. Location was close to Hakata station and other restaurants which was great.
Cons: They didn't have a make up mirror and body lotion

The B Fukuoka Tenjin - Fukuoka - Building
12
8.5 Excellent (3,317 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at the b fukuoka tenjin in Fukuoka (Tenjin), you'll be a 4-minute walk from Tenjin Underground Mall and 10 minutes by foot from Fukuoka Asian Art Museum. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome and excellent room in a modern building. The shower was amazing.
Cons: The breakfast is a little bit odd for western tastes, but palatable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property was so clean and the hotel staffs were very accommodating.
Cons: None
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is conveniently located in Tenjin, just a 5 minute cab ride from Hakata Station. You probably wouldn’t walk it as it’s a bit far with luggage. Surrounded by convenience stores, restaurants and the subway station nearby, there’s also a city bus stop 20 m away. Canal City shopping center is a 15 minute walk away, as is the river. The hotel itself is very clean, non smoking, and looks like a recent build. Staff, laundry and all amenities were very good, plus the coffee machine in reception was welcome. Our room was big enough for our needs, although we weren’t lugging multiple large bags. That would have been a squeeze. The bathroom, separate toilet, and bed were excellent. We enjoyed a very good stay and would certainly recommend!
Cons: The adjoining coffee shop which offers a co-join breakfast service, is a bit odd for western tastes but is ok . Other tips not connected to the hotel: Wolfgang’s Restaurant at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Canal City is pricey but superb international cuisine. The Yatai BBQ joints down by the river seem a far cry from what they must have been back in the day. Gave those a miss. Nakasu red light area was predictably neon/bland at night, and much the same in daylight. Go to Bangkok if that’s your thing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location as it is near the MRT station (Tenjin and Tenjin-Minami), also can walk to Canal City. Comfortable and clean room with very friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast is okay but I would prefer buffet breakfast for more choices instead of having the same menu every day.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Room too small. Bad smell in the bathroom. Room temperature wrong. Breakfast poor. Beds very uncomfortable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location. Shower facilities very good.
Cons: Room size small, but good for Japanese standard.

Pros: I travel to Fukuoka often and enjoy staying at this hotel, it is great location for the places that i like to go, the staff is always very professional and rooms are very well kept and clean,
Cons: I think that it would be great if more food options were available, but i also understand they dont really have the facilities at this location, maybe work out more than one option with other stores in the area
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely penthouse suite. Spacious & welcoming, staff were lovely. Nice view across the river.
Cons: Slightly strange layout with the terrace suite below the penthouse suite resulting in the penthouse suite having some unusable space and hence being smaller than suite below.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms, very friendly and helpful staff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The onsen.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money
Cons: Parking was a problem as the main car park was full except for a few reserved lots that we as guests of the hotel cannot park. This is unsatisfactory. We have to park a distance away at another car park. Inconvenient because of our luggage. But parking was free.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: superbly clean , comfortable, location of the hotel , near to station and food ! The room space is cozy and just nice for a family of 3, with 2 big luggages. Will definitely recommend this !
Cons: No coffee provided . Only green tea at the lobby .
7.9 Good
Pros: A nice hotel, clean. Comfortable bed. Handy phone was great Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment
Cons: for me the stay was not the best as I found the receptionists a bit unfriendly and less than helpful on the phone. Our check out was friendly though! Kettle in the room but no tea or coffee to make a drink.
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast buffet had a lot of options. Laundry room was kept clean, and price was reasonable (300 ¥ for a load of laundry, 100 ¥ / 30 min. in the drier).
Cons: Size of the room was comparable to other Japanese hotels, but the layout was unpractical: layout of the room made it impossible to set up our suitcase. Breakfast hall can be very chaotic and loud at times. They do have a ‘quiet zone’, but we wanted to talk eat least little during our meal.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: + Good location - easy to access to subway, Tian Jin shopping area, the train station and there are convenient stores nearby. You can also find a good restaurant around that area. - Room is a little small where it is pretty hard for us to move around in the room with 2 big luggage bag. (may be it is just the room that we booked - small size room for two) Overall, we enjoy our stay with this hotel .
6.8 Good
Pros: I wouldn't even classify the pillows as pillows. There were more like heavy, solid bags of sand. I had a stiff neck and back for days after.
Cons: The pillows. I did not like the pillows. I wouldn't even classify the pillows as pillows. There were more like heavy, solid bags of sand. I had a stiff neck and back for days after.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to canal city it is a good place to stay to visit hakata by foot.
Cons: Lack of choices for breakfast
5.1 Okay
Pros: The hotel is very centrally located to shopping, restaurants and bars as well as the subway line and buses. The staff were friendly enough and the breakfast is good.
Cons: I arrived with an early morning flight after flying all night and arrived at the hotel by 10am. I was advised that official check in wasn't until 2pm and I would have to wait until this time. I found this somewhat strange considering most North American hotels will allow you to check in if they have a room ready. Even if they didn't immediately have a room ready, they usually make an effort to get you into a room as soon as one is cleaned and ready. I sat patiently in the lobby for the next two hours and then made another attempt at noon to see if any rooms had been cleaned and were ready to be moved into. The front desk's English was very poor so it was difficult to communicate but they again told me that check in wasn't until 2pm. I tried to reason with them that surely some of the rooms must have been cleaned by this point and but was told again that check in would only take place at 2pm. I was told that if I wanted to check in earlier, I would need to pay 3500 Yen for the "overtime". I couldn't quite understand what overtime would be involved since they had to clean my room regardless -- it was just a case of what order they were going to clean it compared to other rooms. I refused to pay this fee and returned to sit on the sofa in the lobby for another two hours. Finally at 2pm I was permitted to check in. I got up to my room only to discover that it was a smoking room (yes, there is still such a thing!). I called down to the desk and explained that I had been assigned a smoking room but wasn't a smoker (interestingly, the kayak site that I booked the hotel on didn't ask for a smoking preference). I was told that there were no non-smoking rooms available (despite me presumably being the first person to check in today!) and that they would send someone up to get rid of the smoke smell. Unfortunately we know how that goes... they attempted to get the smoke smell out but it didn't make much difference. Even thought I was only there for one night, my clothes and luggage still came away smelling like smoke. Hardly an enjoyable experience for the price paid!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is very convenient to Hakata and Tenjin area. The room size is bigger than average Japanese hotel room. 24/7 restaurant and shops nearby.
Cons: A bit hot in the room eventhough aircon is on at 20degree celcius.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: You stay here because of the location and good value for money. Nothing really exciting but good basic and clean, good size room for Japanese. Near to canal, nice view to canal from my room. Evening time you can eat fresh seafood by the canal’s “tent restaurants “.
Cons: Nothing important really- chair in my room needs a new upholstery

Pros: This is our second stay here and we really like the cleanliness of the room, breakfast buffet were delicious, a lot of varieties of food to choose. Location of the hotel is centrally located to shopping malls like Tenjin and Canal City, lots of restaurants and convenient stores around the hotel.
Cons: The bed was too firm.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Best location of the city to walk around .
Cons: The bath room was not cleaned well but otherwise it was pretty cleaned .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location & accessibility to shopping. Everything is just a few steps away.
6.8 Good
Pros: The room was contemporary and clean. The best thing about this hotel is the location right near a subway station and across the canal from two parks and the symphony hall building, which is a great attraction alone because of its green-covered pyramid that you can climb. In the evening, several yatai food stalls set up down the street. It's a great Japanese summer pastime to stroll the canal and get some yakitori. Great location for that.
Cons: It seems slightly overpriced but not extreme.
