Pros: Our stay at the Dunstane House was absolutely incredible. We were travelling to Edinburgh for my birthday and on arrival we were told we had been upgraded to the Dunstane Suite which contained a birthday card and some delicious fudge, and was a breathtakingly beautiful room. The bed was so so comfortable, the huge bath tub in the room was wonderful after a long day of exploring and the waterfall shower was amazing. I had the most wonderful birthday thanks to you guys, thank you so much for a truly memorable stay!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exellent lodge, staff friendly room was exellent, very clean and warm.Breakfast was good, and for ourselves just the right amount.
Cons: Nothing, everything was great.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: vegetarian breakfast was superb.
Cons: very noisy and loud pipes in the first evening meant very bad night's sleep (I ended up having to bunk up with my colleague). For the second night I realised my radiator was off, turned it on and that solved the problem. There was no-one around for us to consult at the time
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice modern room. The bed was very comfortable. Lovely bathroom and shower. Nice and warm even though it was very cold outside. On arrival the lady on reception was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Small car park at the front of the hotel for approximately eight cars. Even though it was only half full it was a bit of a squeeze getting in and I could imagine it would be very tight if it was busier.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Room clean and comfortable. Cooked breakfast very good and tasty. Staff friendly and helpful. A short walk from main shopping area in Edinburgh.
Cons: Breakfast room a bit cold this time of year Did not see a Bar but didn't ask.
7.9 Good
Pros: Handy location between airport and city centre. Nice, spacy and comfortable room. Nespresso machine in the room. Friendly staff. Good bed.
Cons: The fact that we had to pay in advance, the (expensive) breakfast which was not included, the Nespresso capsules which were fake, plastic ones.

Cons: Typical poorly lit hotel room and small. Not HOT breakfast until 0630 (cold breakfast at 0430(?)). It is a hotel for transients and travelers and should serve hot breakfast sooner in the morning. There is a frequent shuttle but you get gouged at L2.50 per person.

Pros: Bar area was nice and the room was quite comfortable.
Cons: The waiter that was on duty was very rude, he really only wanted deal with anyone that was American! I ordered a full Scottish breakfast and wasn't told that they had no bacon, what I did get was nice but would have been nicer with the bacon.
7.0 Good
Pros: Room was spacious enough and the bed was comfy. The other furniture (e.g. chairs) were worn/torn and need replacement/renovation. Breakfast was good, although the a la carte portions could be larger. Coffee was sometimes not as hot as should be.
Cons: Cleanliness. We found a pair of socks behind the curtain on our first day there. Also, the waste bin in the room was not being emptied on a daliy basis. There was much dust on the carpet. Although the bed was comfortable, the whole room - and the bed - was being shaked whenever a car passed by, most probably because the floors need some renovation.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good location, excellent breakfast, evening meal wasn’t good
Cons: Evening meal was terrible, I had to return it, bathroom smelled bad

Pros: Nice room and comfy bed. Location is a bit out of town but the buses are great nearby. Restaurant and bar area are very nice and the live music on Saturday night was great. Breakfast was very good also.
Cons: The room was a bit small considering we paid a little extra for the classic room. We also couldn’t open our window and it was very warm during the night. We stayed in room 19 last year which was amazing but were told the room we were in was the same category but we were just unlucky but it was a much smaller room. Door in the bathroom had some dents in it.

Pros: Location, room, shower, meal
Cons: Nothing. Breakfast was a bit cold on first morning.

Pros: Good restaurant on site, coffee at all hours, shuttle bus to the airport, and best of all, an easy walk to the tram to downtown Edinburgh.
Cons: Well, a big sign mentions chair massage at the spa, but it turns out they have to bring someone from the airport to do this and it must be booked in advance. A bit of a disappointment after a long day in uncomfortable aircraft.

Cons: Signposting to get bus from airport not good, asked three bus drivers for help. The overhead signs in the bus shelters took us to where the bus used to go from, three years ago! Can’t believe that nobody has told you about this problem before

Pros: to both new and old town. The airport loop link picks up and drops off right in front of the hotel and it runs every 10 mins or so 24 hours a day- extremely convent. There's also a few bus lines that pick up by the hotels entrance and go to Waverly Train Station which takes you past New Town. From there, Old Townnis a quick walk. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff and had a very spacious corner room.

Pros: This place needs a complete overhaul, refurbished and painted. Raymond was a diamond this hotel would be lost without him. Pros: Easy to get into Edinburgh. 15 min on bus.
Cons: Excellent hotel, easy travel into Edinburgh. I had booked two rooms for Daughter, and granddaughters for week-end away, both rooms clean and everything we needed, good night's sleep. Breakfast excellent, everything unavailable, cooked breakfast perfect. Would recommend.

Cons: The comforters on the bed were those old scratchy cloth kind that you know don't get washed every time rather than the new linen kind. When pulling back the covers frontbencher time, I found a small collectionn of hair in the bed that coildnt have been mine and the kettle in the room had not been washed since the previous guest. The plumbing also leaves a bit to be desired. The shower was either bowling or freezing- even if being left on the same setting.
