The bed was really comfortable
Staff were rude, reception and bar staff. No water available in room, no mini bar. Basic room and bed had hairs on it on arrival.
The comfort and location. Requested extra pillows and they were on the bed upon our arrival.
Great location and very spacious rooms.
The staff were very sympathetic to our mobility issues and were very caring especially at breakfast and very friendly. The room was good and comfortable.
The one thing which suprised us was that one evening my partner who has Parkinson's went to the bar on his own for one pint. He was rather wobbly so asked the barmaid if she would put his pint on a table to save him spilling it . She refused and said it would cost an extra £5 for her to do it. We had had such good and helpful service from the rest of the staff it came as a shock.
Location to the train and the Royal Mile
Hard to find my way around to executive lounge and very noisy on Saturday night. Hotel did refund upgrade because of the unacceptable noise level until one am
