Pros: Friendly host, good location
Cons: N/A
Excellent 10.0
Pros: From the booking process to check out everything was easy. The hosts were over and above the call of duty when they phone the day of the booking to tell us that there was going to be some potential diversions due to a local run. In the end it was not an issue but it helped getting called just so that we could prepare accordingly. Check in was smooth and rooms clean and has everything you need. Nice garden area and hosts area very friendly and will keep with anything you need. Breakfast was good value and has all your favourites. In terms of location it is close to the sea front and close to the main high street. Nice beer garden across the road too. Would definitely go back if staying in the area. Highly recommended.
Cons: Everything was great.
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Just a short walk from the town centre, but a quiet place to stay. Free parking at the rear of the main house. This place suits us fine when we travel to Prestwick airport. The rooms are big enough and well thought out. I enjoy staying here.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was comfortable with plenty of storage, not that we needed a lit for 2 nights. John was very helpful and when we asked for an iron and ironing board there was no problem. The hotel was located in very convenient position for where we needed to be. Would definitely stay again.
Cons: Nothing

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Host jackie was very friendly room was comfortable and breakfast was great overall enjoyable stay thank you
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location is ideal for anyone arriving in Ayr by train as Turas-Mara guesthouse is only 5 minutes away, also it is so close to everything. There is a Morrisons Supermarket directly across the road with it's own pharmacy, (if required), to pick up any items you may require, 5-6 minutes from a large town center, a 15 minute steady walk to a lovely beach and a 15 - 20 minute walk to Ayr racecourse. As for places to eat or go for a drink there were a lot of variety within a short distance. The room I stayed in had a double bed and a single bed, the decor was light and relaxing, and the breakfast was fantastic. The people who run the guesthouse could not do enough for the guests.
Cons: There was nothing to complain about, just wished I could have stayed longer.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We were early but still allowed in our room Jackie was willing to tell us places to go but we know aylr likethe back of our hand the breakfast was brilliant poached egg done to perfection the location is only 5min walk

Pros: Beautiful home in an excellent location. Very clean and delicious breakfast
Excellent 10.0
Pros: the breakfast was delicious and bed was really comfortable and very close to amenities
Cons: the check in time cud b earlier
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location of the property is lovely - a quiet tree-lined street with safe parking (for which you get a permit on arrival). The hosts are very welcoming and show you to your room on arrival. Our room was on the top floor. It was immaculate with lovely big windows letting in lots of light even though it was dull outside. The bed was HUGE, very comfortable. The bathroom was also huge with a superb bath and shower and great products - Arran Aromatics. Breakfast was absolutely amazing. You're given a menu card and are asked to order the night before which means its ready for you when you go down in the morning. The quality of the food is first class. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place and will definitely return in the future.
Cons: Not a major thing but the TV in the room was tiny compared to the size of the room so it was difficult to see it from the bed.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Bed was very comfortable facilities in the room excellent breakfast was very tasty and plentiful
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Hosts very welcoming and helpful, very comfortable large bed, excellent breakfast, 5 minutes walk from town centre.
Cons: Top floor rooms headroom somewhat compromised by roof eaves. Parking is not on site, it’s on the road outside which was very heavily parked when we arrived though in fairness to the hosts they made every effort to help us find a nearby space.
Good 7.5
Cons: Our room was at the top of 2 flights of step stairs whilst carrying 3 bags, not an easy task when your in your 70's.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location, room, bed and the breakfast were great. Our host was very nice and helpful.
Good 6.7
Pros: Well located, close to the beach and the city center.
Cons: The owner gave us a room with bathroom apart. Not explained when I booked it. Near to the breakfast saloon. Noisy in the morning. We didn’t have booked breakfast, so it was even more inconvenient. Not intimacy at all!!! Mattress very uncomfortable too. Room very tiny, not enough space to even open our luggage.
Good 7.1
Pros: The location is very good right next to sea front and few minutes from town centre. The building is older style and the furnishings are suited to the property. The beds are very comfortable and it was very quiet so we all had a good nights sleep. You need to get there early for parking outside property or you have to park further down the road. It was fine for one night and the breakfast was very nice.
Cons: the décor is a bit dated and there was a bit of dust in the room too. We also found a toe nail in the bed but the sheets were clean. The bathroom was next to the room so you had to come out the room to go to bathroom but it was not shared.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very comfortable bed and excellent poached eggs
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was perfect.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were well catered.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Accommodation was close walk to seaside and shops. Friendly host and good breakfast.
Cons: Nil
Good 7.9
Pros: The location was ideal. And the bed and pillows were really comfortable.
Cons: Room 2, It wasn't a sea view as advertised. The shelf in bathroom needs fixing as does the toilet roll holder, both loose. No explanation that you needed a permit for parking or that the keys given out were for front door as well as your room, had to ask where the room was. It's 2x single beds pushed together not a large double as advertised so you could feel the join. 1x bathrobe instead of 2. The free toiletries needed replenished. All small things really but attention to detail does make a difference. Certainly not 4 star.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Cosy guest house , comfortable rooms and breakfast was good. Would recommend.
Cons: We loved it.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Tastefully decorated.
Okay 4.2
Pros: Room to eat takeaway downstairs.
Cons: From the advertised pictures on the website, it looked like a hotel and not a guest house. Poorly laid out parking spaces to front, again advertising as a beach front accomodation but its on the main busy street. Glad the room wasnt to the front of building as it was noisy with traffic. A glorified airbb at bb prices.

Good 7.5
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, plenty of choices.
Okay 5.8
Pros: The host was very friendly and welcoming. The beds were comfortable (family room). Location was handy, only a 10min drive into the town centre.
Cons: I try not to be negative with these things but feel like I need to say something about out experience here: We stayed over to attend a wedding in Ayr. Unfortunately the cleanliness of our room and the shared bathroom was lacking. The floors in both spaces were dirty and overall they had a sense of neglect around them with a general state of disrepair (broken hooks, dirty curtains/blinds, left over medicine in the wardrobe!). The mugs we were given for our tea/coffees were not clean and the one teaspoon available had already been used, and hadn't been replenished. This made things really uncomfortable. At one point we even contemplated not staying and heading home depending on what time we would be done at the evening reception. On the one hand the price felt reasonable but no matter what the facilities might be like in a B&B, at the very least the space should be clean, and where we were staying was anything but.
Good 7.9
Pros: Good breakfast and good staff
Good 7.5
Cons: Only 1night but was worth for money
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Location price breakfast friendly staff
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 8.0

Good 6.3
Pros: Location
Cons: Bed poor, damp on wall above bed, small room.
Okay 5.8
Cons: Didnt get the room i payed for. The one i got the window looked onto a wall. And every time youflush the toilet it made the most horrendous noise.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: it was just a nice place good breakfast
