The car I got in the beginning was smaller than what I booked and I had to go back to the office to change the car The car key was broken and I had to take a picture of the car key to protect my position

Disorganized and incompetent agent at desk.
Unidas serves as Avis in Florianópolis. They were courteous and easy to finds. Fabiane, who processed the vehicle return was quick and efficient.
Old scratched car, tried to pin scratches on me but had photos so didnt work. They do some scam with the gas tank too.
Arrived at 5 am to find agent is not in the shop. Had to wait for him for 15 minutes as he was as in the restroom! He told me sorry we don’t have a car for you and did not want to honor my reservation. Only after arguing for 90 minutes did he give me a car. Never again Avis in this location
There were no cars when I arrived, in spite of having reserved and paid for one. It took over twenty minutes of complaining to finally get a car. They said they were "backed up," which is not really my problem since I'd reserved a car which should have still been here. When I got it, the car was great, but they still charged me an extra $70+.
I did not receive the category of car that I reserved. I wanted a sedan as I was going a long car ride and instead was given an SUV, which is very uncomfortable and did not ride well.
I didn’t like anything this was a disaster. I never got the car, even though I went up there twice in two days and ended up in a fight with the owner who was yelling at me and basically kicked me out and cancel my reservation against my wishes.
I never received any kind of receipt for my return as they said they would email me. I never got that either and had to go online to get my receipt. I was overcharged by $1000! I called Avis customer service but no one could help me because it was an international rental. I plan to stop payment with my credit card company on this.
