I booked a luxury vehicle. They didn’t have a luxury available and instead gave me a full size sonata not the luxury car I paid for. I also had to wait a very long time to pick up the car. Almost one hour process.

The shuttle driver at the airport didn't seem to know about NextCar or where to take me. It's in the rental area of the Denver airport and everyone (all the shuttle riders, the shuttle driver) seemed very confused/surprised that's where I was going to get my rental car. Which does not imbue one with confidence when you're doing something for the first time. I don't know if this is how NextCar is at other airports, but at least at DEN it's not great. Also, when you show up, it's not a real person. It's a storage box with windows and some electronic kiosks inside, and terrible signage. The shuttle driver dropped us off in the right place but we thought it was just a storage thing - the signage was not good. So we walked all around until we figured out that's where we needed to be. When you get in there you press a button and someone logs on remotely and you talk to a remote virtual assistant through a screen. They're at least a real human and not some AI thing, but I did not like that. It was strange and weird and maybe convenient I guess but at the expense of being very unusual and weird. I did not like it at all.

Car wasnet ready. I had to wait an hour for my car past the pick up time on the reservation. Vehicle was delivered from sister company that rents "work" trucks. Was slightly smelly and dirty inside.

I have checked prices online first. After my purchase, I have accepted to add a $100 or so for insurance. When I arrived at the rental station, I was told that I had the obligation to pay another $100 or so insurance for the car otherwise , I could not rent the car. I felt like … scammed… Furthermore, the black film at the forward windows is a very bad idea. By night or in a garage, parking lot, you see nothing.

Very accessible, great staff and nice and neat vehicle. Andrew was super helpful both during pickup and return of the vehicle. He even helped me with getting a cart as I had a few extra boxes of fish returning back home with me. Wait was very minimal and overall very positive experience.

Shuttle pick up was quick. Customer service who processed our rental was cordial and pleasant. Car provided was reliable and clean. Will definitely rent from Next again.

This was the black spot of our trip. When you get to your destination the first thing you want to be able to do is quickly get your rental and check into your hotel. Well, they made that impossible since we couldn’t find their rental location and communication through WhatsApp was abyssal. They then proceeded to give us an 11 year old car after having waited 30 minutes outside their office in the hot sun because they couldn’t locate it. There were times I couldn’t just sit there and enjoy my time because I was worried that when I returned the vehicle they were going to come up with some made up thing to charge me. Why? Because when we were waiting to receive our keys we witnessed them fight we 2 separate customers about the same thing. Stick to sixt or hertz.
