When booked it was showing car in terminal..but when reached have been adviced car was off the terminal..had to wait for 40mins for shuttle to pick me up…during rental…had flat tyre and they asked me to wait 1hr which was not acceptable

Shocking & pathetic sums it up. The car was described as suitable for 5 passengers, which it certainly was not, we were 4 European adults. There was no provision for an upgrade to a larger vehicle, which we would have done but there were none available! At KLIA Airport? Hard to believe. The cost was extremely expensive - it worked out to $460 AUD for 3 days! What a rip off! over $100 a day! for a proton buzz box of a car. Never again. It would have cost another $70 if I had dropped it back before opening time at Senai airport. No it was very disappointing from what I though was a reputable car hire company.

Europcar is actually Fox Rental. The agent at the check in counter was not able to explain why I had to answer certain questions (got example why was being asked to sing to confirm I have not taken an airport shuttle to get to their office). I've also asked for no insurance extras to be added. After dropping off the car I've realized they've added LDW and LRP optional insurance. I have a feeling I will never see these refunded, despite having asked for no extras at pick up. Just another zero transparency car rental company. The car was dirty on the inside, full of crumbs, a half empty bottle and napkins. The drop off process was quick however and someone assisted me right away. They location of the drop off is not too far from the escalator to the terminal shuttle.

That when filling in details then making payment for rental. Then it says about the deposit, was not happy about that as it was too late after I had already paid for the rental. And communication when enquiring about things could not understand them, as English was their 2nd language

False and misleading advertising ! Marketed and sold as “in terminal” pickup but then involved shuttle bus and walk from drop off point to collect the car. Extremely dissatisfied. Result was late for high level meeting.☹️

Finding the rental car location was about a half mile walk. I was told that there were no smaller cars as I requested, only mini SUV's and hatchback larger cars, neither of which I wanted as I am unfamiliar with driving on the English side of the road. The best they could do was to provide a small SUV which was a manual transmission and then sent me off to find it and drive it without any guidance on how the car operated. I walked back, rented an upgrade, after complaining the staff showed me how to use it and drop off was fine. I am so tired of the bait & switch tactics that I have filed a formal complaint and I will no longer, and I will advise all company employees to avoid Europcar. My advice: have the car someone reserved actually available. When you don't, offer an upgrade as a courtesy as they do in the U.S., and do not charge someone for it.

Car deposits are not supposed to be high. $900 in the beginning!!!!! no wonder people get angry about it. I was too ...to be honest I was double charged deposit so I couldn't buy ANYTHING on my trip but stay home and do errands for my family 🤬
