Staff at pick up location were great - efficient, friendly, and helpful. Heated steering wheel and seats were appreciated.

Dropoff was easy. Pickup was not. It took forever. And the car broke down twice. We believe it may have overheated, but not entirely sure. Each time I called roadside assitance (that was prepaid) they were not helpful. Hit the SOS button on the car and that was slightly better. Was able to limp the car back to Rome but this was not a fun experience whatsoever.

This car company forced me to purchase their car insurance that was 2 or almost 3 times the amount of the total rental. They don’t accept I purchase via the website or credit card insurance.

The cars were good in terms of models, but not maintained properly and not clean enough. First we were given a car with problematic tyres, which was visible and we changed it for another car. The second car had also had problems with the tyres, which eventually led to a punctured tyre during our trip. Despite the full insurance coverage that we paid for, the assistance we got following this event was poor. It took 2 hours for Europcar to arrange the picking up of their car as a priority without any attempt to arrange changing or repairing the tyre, which would have allowed us to continue our trip, and left us on the spot of the incident to wait for a taxi for another 1 hour in extremely hot weather conditions. I would not recommend this company given the said circumstances.

It was not mentioned to me that you need an international driver's license. Reservation was cancelled, we are a family of four so major major issue..... managed to get a car through Autovía a local Italian car rental place where just lik le Europcar could have, informed me I can apply for international drivers license online and I did and got it approved and sent to me in PDF in 8 minutes.

The price was not the one agreed. In Ecuador, they pretend to charge me an extra 90 percent

We needed to extend our time window for picking up rental. Nothing worked using the app. Could not get a hold of anyone to assist us. We ended up cancelling the rental and going with another carrier

I travel to Barcelona teice a year. I usually rent with Hertz, but I’ve also rented with lower cost car rentals. This customer service experience was the worst I’ve ever had. The way the person at the counter, Mikey (Michael?) treated me was unconscionable. I had forgotten my passport and he said is needed for check in. I understand that, but the rudeness, the sheer nastiness was shocking. I was carrying some plants (half the size of a carryon) and I asked if I could leave them in a corner of the spacious store since I had to go and get my passport and come back. First Mikey said “I don’t take any responsibility (in the nastiest tone)which I said I totally understood. Then he said with a loud voice that I could not at all. I’m not young and carrying the plants back and forth was hard, the mistreatment for no reason felt harder. This customer service not only did not go the extra mile, he was plainly abusive. Ruined my morning. Never again. Just appalling.
