Process is virtual, it is a booth at the back of the hotel. There can be technical issues. There is a phone number to call but sometimes they do not pick up. Also you need to have active auto insurance, your credit card insurance/etc. is not enough so make sure you bring a copy of that. Felt like that was sprung on me without warning. Car itself was fine and drop off was easy.
Front desk rude, 15 min off site, just my experience but I’d never use them again.
My flight was delayed and I arrived a few hours later than expected (but still mid-afternoon). Upon arrival, I was told my midsize class vehicle was not available and would be charged for an upgrade. I was also informed my American Express was not an acceptable card issuer. I did not feel comfortable giving the attendant my only other physical card in my wallet (my debit card). He said we would need to stop the process if I didn’t want to upgrade (and use a different card to do it), so I would lose my “spot in the process” and “leave without a rental car.” Bewildered and confused, I called a Uber for the 1 hour drive to destination and figured I would assess from there. Upon leaving, I noticed 5-10 Toyota midsize cars in the rental lot around the back. Altogether a strange and shady experience. Will never return. Hertz it is!
Was charged $35 a day for insurance instead of the $16 a day I paid for on the time of reservation. I also wanted to use my personal car insurance that I have always used in the past and the declined because they were bent on charging the $35 a day insurance which I consider a rip off. I will not recommend them to any other person!!! Real customer with bad experience!!!!
READ MULTIPLE REVIEWS FIRST. There are no physical staff at the location, none, fully dependent on video calling workers which it’s unclear how many are staffed. Will add additional hidden fees regardless of what you pay online, required to use their insurance. Agent said my reservation was no longer valid because I didn’t arrive within the one hour window. I was considered late because of the four booths to speak with someone via video call only one was working and others were waiting in line. The one before me walked out because of the hidden fees. They wouldn’t let me start a new request either, I just missed my pickup window and they couldn’t help me. After arguing with the agent to get any rental, a supervisor approved it so I could proceed. Never seen a company refuse their service/product not because of shortage or high demand but because of their inflexible pickup policy. Rental car was fine and was able to drop off with no issues, but the upfront fees and headaches are not worth it. Mostly 1 star reviews for good reason, the low cost is appealing up front but after the additional fees at pick up it’s no better off than any other rental agency. My experience is just one of many, better off looking anywhere else.
They gave away my car, leaving me stranded, despite my calling them to tell them my flight was delayed.
Discovered that roaches and small bugs were in the vehicle inside the frame of the car. Wasn’t taken seriously by company when brought up and still claimed the car was clean instead of looking into it.
Complete rip off! Said they were in the airport (where at least six other companies are) - they aren’t; plane was an hr delayed so they gave away the car and said they were sold out but kept our money for the weeks rental!! Only a call center number with an unhelpful staff person. Left us robbed of our money for services not rendered and unhelpful in any way to resolve the issue. Would never rent from this company ever again and will be flagging the charge with credit card company.
Car was clean..fuel was full…that is the good. I am 77, not good with computers. I have never used the QR code scan. It is confusing. A person was sent at pickup to help. At return on Sunday, I requested a person to help. I was refused help. The agent on phone tried to talk me through .. I was confused. Why cannot a person be AT your facility?. That would be a tremendous help. I will never use your service again. I will also tell others to NOT use your service. VERY UNFRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE. WORST business experience EVER!!!!!
Check-in and drop off is an awful, alienating experience with no in-person customer service. Despite being advertised as terminal pick-up on Kayak, this service is off-airport and requires a third-party shuttle service to get to that is not affiliated with the rental car company. No pick-up instructions were provided, just a call from an unknown number after arriving. Insurance costs and fees for toll pass were not transparent, making rental several times more expensive than expected.
