Cons: The air and heat was extremely loud. Had to get someone to come to the room to turn it off in the middle of the nite. They even had trouble Turning it off. Never could get the TV to stay on after it powered -up. It would immediately go black after powering-up. Tried several times to no avail. No bottle of water in our room as stated.

Cons: The room size is very small, even if they advertise the square meters there was no place in our room to put our suitcases without creating hurdles to walk over. There was also no wardrobe though the facility was claimed - it was a wall open containing ironing board, kettle, iron with a hanging rod above the kettle. The picture of the room showed a genuine wooden wardrobe with standalone shelf and hanging space - this didn’t exist in our room.

Pros: I went to San Fran with my husband for a few nights to explore the city. When I first walked in, the first this I noticed was the elegant wood paneling in the ceiling of the lobby; the interior was amazing, from the lobby to our room. Everything was clean. We checked in and the staff was welcoming. We got a free bag filled with some goodies. I noted it was our anniversary when I booked this hotel and they warmly congratulated us and even upgraded our room at no extra cost. There was champagne in the room as well. It was convenient that there was a restaurant connected to the hotel, they partnered with them so that the restaurant could actually deliver food to your room like room service.

Cons: I didn’t like the subpar view we had from our room. And the location isn’t the best. If you walk down the block, you’ll see an alley filled with the homeless doing questionable activities. I’m no stranger to New York so this kind of scene is not too shocking to me. If you are not comfortable with this, then it might be better to find a different hotel. But keep in mind that SF has many homeless community scattered throughout the city. Also it was a bit expensive compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at but I think this is the average price for SF.

Cons: frustrating that our room was not ready. We waited in the lobby for a text notification which never arrived. By 4:00p i was tired of waiting and had to ask the front desk staff for an update. We finally got into our room at 4:30p

Cons: When we arrived the room felt cold to us. We are from a much warmer climate than SF. Turned on the heater and didn't heat up. Called the front desk and was told the heat in the building was on a timer...comes on at 9pm (it's a radiator). They offered to send up a space heater.Within minutes we had a space heater. Problem solved. Great staff and super friendly.

Pros: The Sonesta Hotel is a beautiful hotel. Her collocation is in the downtown of Frisco. Her particular architecture is so different between other hotel of Frisco . The Sonesta's hotel team is careful to necessity of the guest. The rooms are big and with large the beds of Queen size and other King size. The bathrooms are like a typical american bathroom, it is a few small but clean and this is important for me. The moquette is a few spotted but clear. If I go back again in Frisco I will thing sure to go back in Sonesta Hotel. Thank you so much for your kindness . I hope to go back soon.

Cons: The hotel is soon to undergone a massive renovation and I think it shows. It is a tired hotel but it was clean and comfortable nonetheless. It’s our honeymoon so I think we were hoping to be wowed by the hotel, but it’s a bit of a ‘Instagram vs. Reality’ situation, but only this time, it’s the photos on booking.com vs. reality. We’ve no idea what the hotel looks like on the outside, it’s covered in scaffolding. We haven’t been affected by any preparatory work, but I think we both feel a bit let down by our stay here for the cost of the room. There are better locations too, and in hindsight, I think we would choose to stay further out of SF because being in this specific location didn’t add any benefit to our stay.

Cons: The lamps are actually hard to use (the switches are so rubbish!), the bed had some damage to headboard, the hairdryer did not work. Generally it was ok and at least it was clean. Cons: Initially I was given a room key to a room occupied by another guest, allowing me access to their belongings. The room was tired, shabby and smelt like a men’s urinal. Neither of the 2 elevators were working for 3 of the days I stayed including check out day which meant me manually carrying heavy bags down from floor 8, some 149 steps. When I asked the manager about the efficiency of the lifts he responded “so slit my wrists” .

Cons: it's an old house off course, but like in many places everywhere on the world the entrance hall is the only place they put on an investment. the rooms are tiny and don't look closer when it get's to cleanness. it's way too expensive. considering the fact that san francisco is a rather small city, and you can basically reach every point within 50 mins. (taking uber etc.) there are way more affordable and more convenient stays to choose.

Pros: Hard to find something I liked the most. Housekeeping has their job cut out for them with the decaying hotel.
Cons: Smallest room I have ever stayed in. Elevator didn't work for us once. No outlets for devices or even a dresser to place your clothes in

Cons: The hotel is surrounded by a large homeless population right outside. Parking is an additional $51 a day that was not disclosed at booking. The WiFi “package” which is a mandatory fee of $35 a night was also not disclosed. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cons: Didn't like the paint job on the ceiling? Also, the neighborhood it is located in is going downhill; a woman staying with our group did not feel safe being by herself outside of the hotel.

Pros: The location and staff met our needs perfectly for going to three different plays nearby walking distance, since the Orpheum is right across the street.
Cons: They should not charge almost $60 per night to park a car. That is just gouging. We simply flew in to Oakland where you can take BART or Uber or Lyft roundtrip for less than parking your car one night at The Whitcomb. The resort fee of $35 is ridiculous.

Cons: Shower didn't work. Room was 10×9 with 2 beds, night stand, table, table w/ TV. There was NO room! Location was terrible. You walked outside and 20 homeless people ask you for money or cigarettes. It smelled like people have died in the hotel. OVERPRI

Pros: It is very close to the subway in San Francisco. You can walk to the union square and City Hall. But there are too many homeless guys in the city especially near the hotel so it is better not going out at night alone. The hotel is very historic I love their chairs and they have donuts in the morning but the room and the restroom are very old and small. Anyway, it is good price and location in San Francisco. I will recommend it ~

Cons: Had booked this room by mistake, called within 10 minutes, they refused to refund. Hotel is on Market, sketchy as Heck, (and I lived in SF for six years a decade ago,) people smoking pot right by the front door. Manager was just like, "well, its legal now". Asked for a quiet room, was given 2nd floor facing Market street where music was blasting until 1:30 am, then noise began again early in the AM. Being able to sleep is kind of the most important part of getting a room. TV only got a couple of blurry channels. For some reason my iphone refused to connect to the wi-fi, but my wife's older phone and my son's Kindle could, probably not the hotel's fault. Breakfast was the cheapest donuts possible (1 per customer) and really bad coffee. Better than nothing?

Cons: The price and star rating were higher than that of the Hilton. The tiny room and the dodgy shared bathroom were definitely not comparable to the Hilton. I don't know how old this place is but it is as nice as one might expect for something over ---

Cons: Yes - Giving the Key back whenever you left the hotel felt like a total violation of the agreement. I constantly felt when I left I had to hope my things weren't gone through.

Cons: DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. It is located in a very dangerous area of SF. Sorrounded by criminals, Drug addicts, dealers and street Gangs. The Hotel itself is full of drug addicts and homeless people (when they get their hands on some money). The rooms may be worse than some prisons cells. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Cons: I hate that I couldn’t have guest, bathrooms didn’t work, if you want to leave they make you return the key every time then lock you out, no air conditioning, elevator broke.. would never suggest anyone to stay here, no parking at all, had to pay 60$ to park a couple blocks away
