Really loved the hotel, was in such a good location for us. We were both brand new to the city, me from the U.K, and everyone we spoke to was so helpful. Especially the door guy who spent a lot of time with us helping us plan our trip to golden gate bridge on thanksgiving. Our bath tub was a bit worse for wear and some of the paint was chipping off inside, but other than that really loved the room and everyone there! Will definitely come back at some point in the near future.
Location is great if you need to stay downtown. Price.
Smells like tenderloin to be honest at least in my room (google it make yourself a favor).
They let me check in earlier and for that I am giving them extra points. The bed was comfortable, the shower was good and the room was clean.
My room was right next to the elevator. Literally, I could take one step to the left and enter my room right from the elevator. This means that I heard the elevator all the time, day and night. This made my stay below comfortable. If I were a manager in such hotel I would warn guests about this feature before they make reservations, or I would lock these rooms and use them as storage or other service rooms. Also, my room had a locked door leading into a neighboring room, so I heard my neighbors' conversations, and I imagine they heard mine. Almost no privacy. Everything else was fine but because of the noise factor I would not come back to this hotel.
The room was cute
Overpriced.....parking is am awkward experience as there are 2 parking garages n 1 the employees yell at u if u drive into it. This has happened both times I ve stayed here
The Mosser is a historic hotel in the heart of San Francisco. Tucked between the amazing shopping of Union Square and the busy Moscone Convention Center area, it retains much of its original good looks and charm but has been modernized to offer travelers all of the most desirable amenities and services. The 1913 hotel is just a short walk to the Powell Street BART station and is also convenient to Chinatown and Fisherman’s Wharf. You can visit the Contemporary Jewish Museum, American Conservatory Theater, and Metreon in seconds and hop a cable car for an unforgettable ride.
Of course, you may find all that you require right on the hotel’s premises. After all, it is home to a world-class recording studio that artists often book along with their room. There is valet parking (for a fee), valet laundry services, free use of the nearby Marriott Spa and Fitness Center, free breakfasts in the Keystone Corner Room (the on-site restaurant), and 24-hour front desk, among other services. Visitors will also want to enjoy a drink or meal at the Keystone to savor its delicious local favorites.
Rooms vary from Deluxe rooms to shared bathrooms. All have interesting views of the gardens or city and include truly stylish décor, iPod docking stations, custom and signature furnishings, and artwork, luxury linens, free Wi-Fi, a sitting area, desk, TV and most offer a private bath (though there are shared bath options).
The Mosser lets guests enjoy old world San Francisco like it was more than 100 years ago and yet places them close to the hustle and bustle and excitement of the modern city.
