Cons: We was with our little baby at a table of 3 person for breakfast, which was great. However another party of 3 person was seated right next to us where one 2 person can sit. Which made us very uncomfortable. So we ask to had switch the table to the closed bar area. We believe the 3 person right next to us felt not good as well as we was leaving. Made them feel we was leaving because of them.... The view from our room was very poor, consider the location of your establishment ant the price tag for the room.

Pros: Great location and close to public transport (underground and tram stops), easy to reach from main train station. There's grocery and drug stores closeby, and it's walking distance to most inner city attractions. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, fantastic breakfast with fresh fruit, great coffee and I loved the champagne for breakfast mimosas! I had a single room and it was really spacious and comfortable with more than enough space for my big luggage, even had a couch for reading. You can request for a kettle and tea which I did, and they brought it immediately and replenished tea supplies daily. Beautiful decor, interesting history, nice bar, restaurant and library area, and the free fruit in the lobby is a nice extra touch! I'll definitely stay there again when visiting Vienna!

Though small, the room is as well planned as possible. The additional balcony was a pleasant surprise. Cons: When we firstly arrived to the hotel in our chick in date , we were shocked that there was no luggage porter in the main front gate (no security as well) so I had to get off the car and go inside to find the porter and trolly my self (i was already so tired cuz of my long flight) !! However, This should not happen in a five star hotel . There was 2 concierges during my stay , one of them doesn’t know any thing and never answered any of my questions unlike the other one (the shorty) who helped me with a great recommendations (I wish if I could remember his name )

Front desk staff from the date of arrival to day of departure are super: friendly, efficient professionals who answered all my questions about transit, shopping, and special places to visit. All the staff were excellent, and I especially appreciated the exceptional attention from Fr. Ulrike, Hr. Noel, and Hr Gamin. Hotel CC is a 5-minute walk from Schwedenplatz. The VAC bus for €8 from the airport stops here. Also, the transit ticket for about 2€ will take you via metro line U1 to Vienna Central Station. I bought a weekly pass for 17€ from the friendly tobacconist just two doors down from the Hotel CC. Billa, a grocery chain is next door to the Hotel CC when you come back tired from the rigors of shopping and sightseeing. As a budget-conscious senior, I consider Hotel City Central to be a great value. I highly recommend it for its strategic location, excellent service, and wonderful breakfast buffet.

Pros: Really hip and trendy hotel. The staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean and had the best sleep on the bed - so comfortable! Definitely recommend paying the bit extra to get the breakfast included. Unlike most European hotels their breakfast was really nice and decent selection especially considering Vienna is generally expensive. Location was perfect as 50m from the underground metro. Will definitely stay here again if we return to Vienna!

The air-conditioning that they say you get is actually controlled by a master control which means the option of control you have in the room do absolutely nothing to the air-conditioning system. This was very bad as they wouldnt allow us to actually cool the room on the hot days. I asked for them to give me back control over my room and they refused. This was very poor.

Cons: The privacy for the shower.. we felt uncomfortable using the shower if room service was called as they would have had to walk past the shower as there would be a glass panel that they would see you through! Stephen's cathedral etc. plenty of restaurants near by, walking zone kantner strasse around the corner. sky bar and do&co bars are in 3 minute walk, both with great views and sky has live music. Basically the hotel to be if you are not a stay in the toom type of guy/girl. Staff is friendly and helpfull.

Cons: The room had a neglected feel. The (red) carpet had streaks especially around the walls, the towel hangers in the bathroom were half pulled out of the wall. The mattress was soft and uneven, and there were streaks of unidentified substance on exposed parts. The sheets were not changed at all during our stay, even after a hot humid night (aircon worked but did not cool much); indeed when the sheets were wet with sweat, the cleaners just folded them up so they started to smell after a day. In contrast the towels were changed every day, needed or not. The tea bags were only filled up occasionally. Cleaners were coming in unreasonable hours, very early and very late in the day. I do not complain about the noise of a building site nearby as it was a known factor, however I should mention that in the room there was one set of earplugs and eye shades and a single "sleeping potion" tea bag when we arrived, I assume as an attempt to alleviate the situation. One set for two guests.

Cons: First thing - it's right in front of a construction site, we knew that, we stayed for two nights and Decided it was worth it because of the location (which is awesome). If you are planning to stay for more days - I would not recommend it because you will be up before 7 AM. Also, if you travel by car you don't have a parking lot near by. There is one door in the shower (as seen in pictures) so a lot of water comes out of it. We didn't try the breakfast because we thought it is a little bit pricey (17€ for person).

Stephen's cathedral etc. plenty of restaurants near by, walking zone kantner strasse around the corner. sky bar and do&co bars are in 3 minute walk, both with great views and sky has live music. Basically the hotel to be if you are not a stay in the toom type of guy/girl. Staff is friendly and helpfull.

I got this hotel for the own bar and the decent number of rooms thinking that as a solo traveler it will be a great way to meet new people. Low in behold - the bartender is very nice and knowlegeble, speaks great english ( even though i know german), but the bar itself is dead. There are barely 6-8 guests at a time, you wont be meeting anyone there. it is slightly cheaper, than bars on kentner strasse, so I would stop buy and have a drink before heading out.
I had early tours every morning, never quite figured out if they provided breakfast, it certainly was NOT available in the bar, as the hotel papers claimed.

Cons: Restaurants are expensive, and menus were not that appealing to us. We did hope to have an after dinner drink or dessert at the rooftop terrace one. The night we tried to do so, half the restaurant and the bar were closed for a private party. Disappointing.
There is no coffee available prior to 7 a.m., nor were we able to find anywhere near by where we could get some prior to an early departure for a tour. Seems the best option is to get a coffee drink from the refrigerated section of the grocery across the street ahead of time.

I would rate it as a one star room. the space around the double bed was scarcely enough for getting to/off the bed. bathroom was very small. the window looked at a brick wall about three feet away. On the next day we were transferred to a so called "bigger" room. according to the fire departments drawing , this was the biggest room on the floor. the closet is about two feet wide, one foot width for hanging cloth, and one foot width for a stack of shelves. It seems the hotel is an old house converted to a hotel. in each room a bathroom was added inside the room reducing the effective room size.

Cons: Hotel deserves 3 stars at the most, we found trash under the bed, the bath was clogged, mini bar is empty and when i asked about the mini bar they told me it wasn’t avaiable anymore (wheread on the internet it says there is one) Breakfast is awful

The room, which had twin beds, was big enough for the both of us, and although on the 7th floor and hot, we were supplied with a fan which did help to cool the room down. We had an ensuite shower in our room, which was powerful and hot. We did not have an ensuite toilet, but we used the toilet in the corridor and this was always clean and there was a plentiful supply of toilet rolls, hand soap and paper hand towels. Our room was cleaned every day and we were given fresh towels, which we were grateful for as we went swimming in the Danube and in the swimming pool on the moored barge on the Danube Canal, so a regular supply of clean towels was much appreciated. The breakfast was good and as a vegetarian, I felt that I was catered for. The breakfast was continental-style and it set us up nicely for our days of sightseeing. The staff were helpful in terms of providing utensils for our picnics and were always keen to help. My sister and I really enjoyed our stay at the Pension because of its homeliness, great location and friendly staff.

Cons: There was no courtain for the shower, so we had to be careful not to wet the entire bathroom. Also hated that the separate toilet did not have its own washing basin. Small elevator that doesn't get to the ground floor (it stops half a floor up) and no staff to help with your bags. Reception is at the 8th floor, which is a bit strange, but they tell you the moment you arrive at the front door. My parents didn't find the mattress very comfortable, and the towels are a bit thin.

Cons: For what I paid and the pictures I was expecting a much nicer place. My room was small; the shower cramped. The mattress had broken springs and no blankets, just a duvet cover. There was dirty washing outside my door in big bins the whole time I was there. A slow, small lift served each floor. Breakfast felt rather stuffy and congested in a small room for that number of people. There was building work going on locally, so very noisy in the daytime. The first day I had no internet. Unfortunately we could not enjoy all advantages of this location and hotel itself, because we came to Vienna in the evening and left hotel at 6 am, but all we saw was impressive and defintely worth of a second try. even though the street was noisy we heard nothing of it in the room. Due to the air-conditioning system it was not necessary to open the window.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent although it was additional. We were automatically upgraded to business. Excellent location close to the underground transit and above ground transit. In the middle of the busy pedestrian street and in the middle of the downtown ring area which is the heart of the City.

Cons: Furniture and room is worn. They “upgraded’ us to bigger room but the facing was at the massive construction site on the road at the 2 floor. The noise is okay if you are out most of the day, but still it was annoying that they clearly tried to play up the room, though not entirely their fault. There isn’t a kettle in the room and you have to ask but is subject to availability. We got the last battered kettle with a broken sprout, though it was working. Toiletries were fair. Pity really. It would have been a really nice place if they ironed out the kinks

Pros: Location was excellent. Accomodations were modest. Had a sink and shower in room but had to share toilet in hall. Saw almost no other guests which was nice. Easy access using public transportation from airport. Couldnt tell from online if it was a hostel but it was not. Definately a hotel even though it had a weird shared toilet situation.

Cons: The building site in front of the hotel was not expected and very loud all day from 7 am. We didn't mind so much as were were out all day, and this will only be a temporary problem, but we were not offered (also did not request) the "inner courtyard" rooms indicated in the booking.

Cons: The dining area was not big enough to cope with the number of guests consequently it became over crowded with people standing waiting for a table and you were unable to access the buffet . We had a basic double room And while clean it was very very small with no air con , we were also very close to reception and was disturbed during the night with people coming and going outside our room. Location was perfect though as a minute to st Stephens cathedral and five minutes walk to Hofburg castle .

Cons: The beds were hard and uncomfortable, and the solitary fan couldn't successfully battle the 30 degree heat that we had throughout the weekend. This room was also a bit small, as was the breakfast, and one has to ask for the key for the safe, which is a minor inconvenience.

Cons: It was a strange Hotel, the kind you would only find in Europe. Creepy old (but well functioning) elevator. Didnt realize walking to 3rd floor with suitcases was more like walking to 5th floor due to ground level and mezzanine level. First front desk guy spoke good english but the guy on shift after him had poor english. And he yelled at me due to a miscommunication due to not speaking same language!!! In the end he righted his wrong but it was stressful.
