Pros: It is hard to say just one thing about this fabulous hotel. . . it is superior in every regard. The staff are exceedingly gracious and helpful, so service is superb. The food is beyond delicious, so it is a gourmet's dream. The rooms and hotel decor in general are absolutely gorgeous. . .I can't begin to enumerate all the wonderful touches in the bathroom alone. . .so a designer would feel at home. But I must mention cleanliness. . . it is immaculate. Also, the business center was terrific-- computers (with printers) at your fingertips, easy to use and incredibly convenient. One can hardly do better than to stay at the Grand Hotel Wien. It made our vacation even more memorable.

Our room was sumptuous with a huge bathroom, closets, and all the amenities. Internet access in the rooms was free as was the fitness center. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel, but we ordered several dinners from room service and they were delicious and an excellent value.

Cons: Found the overall staff service to be lacking. Concierge typically jumps at opportunity to provide service/advice but not here. For the most part, the hotel bars and restaurants are over-hyped and completely over-priced with much better alternatives just a few steps away (both quality and price). Smell of stale smoke hits you just as you enter the building - thanks to a smoking lounge conveniently located on the second level. Hotel wifi is a total joke and not to be relied upon. Hotel includes restricted wifi with your room rate and asks ridiculous payment for slight improvement. In my experience even budget accommodations provide this service infinitely better. Overall, this is a stuffy hotel situated for the stuffy traveler. Sounds of enjoyment or laughter are non-existent in common areas, which speaks volumes. Call yourself luxury, and pay for memberships in luxury hotel associations all you want - it doesn't make it so.

Cons: Double bed was actually two single beds with two matresses and two quilts. Breakfast was the same for 5 days. WC in diffetent room than the bathroom. Elevators were pretty small. There was a lot of noise room was pretty noisy on Saturday night due to the restaurant in the above floor.

Cons: At arrival we were told that we were already pre-charged by booking.com and cannot have the bill which we needed for a company. This was strange since in past experiences, booking.com was only for booking and I would be charged directly on the spot. After talking to a manager, receptionist told us that he could give us the bill afterall. Wellness did not work (besides fitness) which was one of the main reasons for booking Le Meridien. Minibar was complimentar but contained only: 2 waters, 2 colas and 1 beer?!!!! I would rather pay than have such a poor choice! I realice you can call room service and order, but I personaly do not like that and I find it disturbing. Also, maid managed to come in in my room twice in the same morning, once I was half naked - I hoped 5 star hotel had a sistem of checking if anyone is still in the room or at least knocking... And at the end, breakfast was 29 EUR, and there is only public garage which you have to pay.

Cons: Rooms are very simple and small, but what do you care if there is so much to see in Vienna. They are clean and got everything u may need or want.
I got this hotel for the own bar and the decent number of rooms thinking that as a solo traveler it will be a great way to meet new people. Low in behold - the bartender is very nice and knowlegeble, speaks great english ( even though i know german), but the bar itself is dead. There are barely 6-8 guests at a time, you wont be meeting anyone there. it is slightly cheaper, than bars on kentner strasse, so I would stop buy and have a drink before heading out.
I had early tours every morning, never quite figured out if they provided breakfast, it certainly was NOT available in the bar, as the hotel papers claimed.

Pros: Extremely friendly and attentive staff--the cleaning staff was especially accommodating to our needs and schedules. The "at your service" staff was also patient, as I had problems with credit card authorization. Everything worked out fine and the staff made us feel very welcome. Also the location of the hotel is perfect. A short walk from the center of Stephansplatz, all the while feeling a bit isolated from the crowds.
Cons: My first meal in the hotel lobby seating area was a bit less-than- Marriott standards in my opinion. I had ordered a chicken burger with fries with apple struedel for dessert. Unfortunately, all 3 parts of my meal were only warm and tasted a bit old. The apple struedel was also not fresh.

Cons: There was no air conditioning, so we had to leave the windows open, which would not have been a problem except for all of the noise coming in off the street. The hotel is not on the main thoroughfare, but for some reason that's the street every drunk person wants to walk down screaming and singing at three in the morning. I don't think we slept through the night once. But if you went when it was colder out and could leave the windows shut, it would be a wonderful, wonderful hotel

Pros: Adagio City Aparthotel is next to everything you need: 5 minutes walking to CAT (City Airport Transport), 5 min to Stefansdom; tram station is in front of Adagio if you need to go a bit further. The room was very clean, the kitchen is well equipped as well as the bathroom. If you need a store ther is a "Billa" right in front of the hotel. Everything is just fine about Adagio, I'll reccomend it to everyone.

Cons: Total mess in invoicing+guarantee made by a trainee at the beginning : fully paid accomodation + one person breakfast, I was retained for full guarantee accomodation + 2 persons breakfasts !!! thus waisting my credit card allowance. Plus that the final verification invoice was including another significant balance - another trainee ! - everything was finally cleared (that is I hope, at least !) by the manager in line, Cornelia. Thanks, Cornelia. So, be aware of front line trainees at Intercontinental Vienna !

Cons: It was a strange Hotel, the kind you would only find in Europe. Creepy old (but well functioning) elevator. Didnt realize walking to 3rd floor with suitcases was more like walking to 5th floor due to ground level and mezzanine level. First front desk guy spoke good english but the guy on shift after him had poor english. And he yelled at me due to a miscommunication due to not speaking same language!!! In the end he righted his wrong but it was stressful.

Pros: Great location and able to walk into center area from the hotel. Also on the U & S lines so easy to get to/from the train station. The hotel itself while undergoing renovations is delightful as the rooms have been renovated, walk in showers and good lighting. Also sparsely populated w go FB make for ease of relaxing; bed, two chairs a small table and the TV on a stand. I was in a corner room and had full windows on two sides which provided fantastic views of the city and great natural light. Breakfast provided many options; too many and easy to get full on something you find available.

Pros: Location was fabulous for several reasons. Right across the street from CAT train to airport. Can check bags there. Walkable to everywhere: Museums, Spanish Riding School, winter palaces, St Stephen's Cathedral even Belvedere. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Concierge helpful.

Pros: Great location and able to walk into center area from the hotel. Also on the U & S lines so easy to get to/from the train station. The hotel itself while undergoing renovations is delightful as the rooms have been renovated, walk in showers and good lighting. Also sparsely populated w go FB make for ease of relaxing; bed, two chairs a small table and the TV on a stand. I was in a corner room and had full windows on two sides which provided fantastic views of the city and great natural light. Breakfast provided many options; too many and easy to get full on something you find available.
Cons: Entrance on Mitte square open, but this will likely occur when renovations completed.

Receptions Staff were robotic, no smiles or friendly conversation,would only scripted responses.Twice were given rooms already occupied and twice were locked out of our room - Staff response - that is the way it is: this gives rise to room security.
