There were no signs at rental car level to indicate which way the Payless kiosk was. A non-Payless person actually told me that Payless was off site and that I would have to get there by bus! More signs would help.Reviewed 29 Apr 2023

The pick up experience was very frustrating. There was no one at the counter at our terminal because they were “out to lunch” and no one from a partner agency could help us. The sign told us to go to another terminal’s rental car counter. We had 2 sets of golf clubs and 2 suitcases we had to shlep to another terminal. The line there was long with only 1 employee who was nice but definitely in no rush. The first car we selected needed air in the tires. The attendant said we could stop at a Wawa and put air in! When we pushed back, he told us to choose a different car. All in it took almost 2 hours to get into a rental car. Very frustrating start to our vacation!Reviewed 28 Mar 2023

I turned my car in 2 days early and got no credit back and was charged $48.58 for 3/8 of tank of gas. Not impressed. Car had dings on all 4 sides and some existing candy wrappers inside. Expected more.Reviewed 20 Feb 2023

No one was at the Payless booth at pickup. I had to go to the other side of the airport with my bags to pick up the vehicle. When driving out, I had to wait extra time because the car was being scanned as the wrong vehicle even though it matched my paperwork. At drop off, No one was at the Payless counter, so Avis helped. I was charged a whole extra day for being 45 minutes late from my drop off hour. Other rental places give a 1 to 2 hour grace period before adding an additional day. I liked that we could rent a car seat and pick out which one we wanted, the price we paid for one week, we could have purchased a brand new car seat. We were ripped off and taken advantage of. at pick up in orlando i go to the desk and nobody was there.... and no sign was there. this was at 1 30 ... then at 2 00 a nice lady got there and said she had been at her break. it would have been nice if a sign was posted and/or payless had another person to take care of us who waited the 30 min our car was fine, but it smelled like smoke even though we had been told it was non-smoking vehicle. the staff seemed all nice though , that is importantReviewed 21 Nov 2022

Terrible experience... hauled all of our baggage and passengers to garage to find van full of roaches, completely damaged and dead battery. Person in Garage for Payless said they only park vehicles and cannot help. Hauled everything back to counter and payless gentlemen gave us new van. Hauled everything back to garage to find that van was not located in space provided at counter and a different payless employee spoke zero english and just pointed wrong direction and could not help. Hauled everything back to counter to find the guy left for lunch and no more payless employees at counter to help. Woman from Avis stepped in to help find a third van. she did but then did not have password to computer to finalize reservation. Once this was finally completed we then had to haul passengers and baggage back through airport to a different terminal and different garage to find the van that we then used. The third option was nice and turned out fine but we ended up being late to our event as a result of the couple hour ordeal and then all meetings at our conference were off schedule and delayed as a result. I had a van full of business owners that we were hosting who had the privledge of experience all of this with me that all in fact own business that commonly rent vehicles. Terrible experience... I will say the last lady from Avis was super helpful and had to reason to help me and went above and beyond to try and resolve the matter and was in fact able to find a solution. - Chris PsencikReviewed 25 Aug 2022

Rental was prearranged online. A one day/24 hr plus rental. We were staying at a different hotel but needed a car on our last day. We arranged to rent the car at a nearby hotel that had the rental agency located in the building. We picked up our car there with efficiency and used it for the day and the next morning and we were able to drop it off at the airport. There were no snafus other than my own, when I bypassed a pay toll. I don’t know how much that will end up costing me. But overall I give my experience a high rating.Reviewed 17 May 2022

Flight was slightly delayed. When I arrived at the airport there was no one at the Payless booth. I was told to go to the Avis line. After 30+ minutes in the avis line, I find out it's the wrong location. I call the right Payless location and no one answers even though they were supposed to close 30 mins later. I call the next morning and explain to them what happened and they refused to help me. I ended up without a rental.Reviewed 16 Apr 2022
