Pros: Perfect location in Key West. Almost everything is in walking distance yet it's a nice little hideaway from the main strip if you want some privacy. We loved the pool and hot tub. Also, the bar on premise is awesome and the coffee and breakfast served in the morning was great.

Pros: We spent 3 nights at the Orchid Key Inn and loved everything about it. The location is perfect, with many great restaurants, coffee shops and bars close by. The room was stylishly decorated with modern furnishings and was tucked into a quiet corner so the street noise was imperceptible. The pool is a tranquil, relaxing spot where we enjoyed cooling off and lounging for several hours each afternoon. The staff was cheerful and friendly, eager to help with any needs or questions. We would highly recommend the Orchid Key and will stay there again next time!

Cons: I did not like about this hotel were the extra fees. We were charged extra for having more than 2 people in a suite and also a resort fee which paid for beach access, wifi, etc. When you are paying a premium rate you expect these to be incl. in rate.

Pros: Key West is an excellent location for almost everyone and this hotel is superbly located. There is so much to see, the old town properties are beautiful to view even from the outside. If you want a party atmosphere just wait until the sun goes down and the party livens up. At the ocean Key you can swim , sunbathe, eat very well , exercise, enjoy the spa facilities, or just relax in your beautiful room. There are party boat trips in the area and fishing charters. We had excellent WiFi in our room. It was exciting also to view from our room, the cruise ships coming and going and docking at Mallory Square where street entertainment was provided. It was our second visit, and we would come back and recommend to others.

Pros: We made a reservation through kayak.com. We pointed out that we are looking for a hotel for 1 night for 2 adults and a child. We don't have interest in strange adult places, we are on family vacation. When we made reservation at kayak.com, we answered to a special question that the child is 9 years old. We were asked and out-stress that out. When we arrived at that strange place, they told us that this "property" is adult only and they will not accommodate us, nor they will refund our money. The receptionist said with oily voice that we will not receive our money back. And after that they withdraw our money for a service that they didn't provide. It's a shame. We were very frustrated, how on Earth this could happen. In Europe when somebody takes your money and doesn't provide requested service it could be treated as fraud. After that we spend several hours to find a proper hotel in that city and that costed us additional money. So thanks to kayak.com and that "hotel" we had a good "welcome party" in Key West.

Cons: The middle of the bed frame was being supported by chunks of 2x4. One of them had collapsed so the bed sagged at the foot. With moderate effort I was able to replace this board and the bed was great afterwards, but I don't think I should have had to.

Cons: The cost for parking seemed ridiculous given the already high room cost. The room, while dubbed a “suite”, was just an (albeit spacious) room with a small bathroom. The blinds did not open all the way, which led to the place being quite dark.

Pros: We drove to Key West from Miami, and the Silver Palms has a great onsite parking lot that made it perfect for us. Rooms were lovely - very spacious, with plenty of room to unpack, spread out and relax. Private balconies were a plus. The pool area is not huge, but has nice comfortable lounge chairs and a bar. Breakfast was standard continental, except on Sunday they had an omelette station. It was an easy walk down to Duvall street and all the action.

Pros: Extremely helpful staff. Very clean. Salt water pool w/ towels, poolside bar Two complementary drinks, complementary champagne for a long stay. Quiet neighborhood. Quiet motel except for the piped-in music. Balcony w/ 2 chairs for some rooms. Lot of space in the room & bathroom counter. Pleasant room arrangement & decor. Free parking. Easy to walk to Duval St. (5 min.), local Cuban restaurant (3 min.), beach (10 min.).
Cons: The constant music all day by the pool that could be heard in my room on 3rd floor at farthest corner from pool - I used ear plugs to avoid having to listen. So many bright lights scattered around the exterior walls, leading to a lot of light to block out at night for sleep. Inability to turn on just the fan in the room without the air conditioning, which would save the hotel a lot of money , not to mention be environmentally appropriate. Inability to plug the sink in order to do hand-wash laundry. Very thick pillows - not appropriate for most women, kink the neck. Breakfast OK-- if you do not eat meat (there are ham slices), your protein options are hard boiled eggs, yogurt w/ additives & sucralose, slices of cheddar cheese, & milk. The white flour bagels are locally made & good tasting. Could improve by including healthier bagels & unsweetened Greek yogurt. Made-to-order omelette on week end is a nice offering, but cooked at too high a heat for eggs.

Pros: Charming and elegant. The pool area is really nice. The rooms are spacious and clean. I was happy with the balcony overlooking the street. But many rooms overlook the pool area.
Cons: Breakfast was included but not up to par for what I expected. The bagels were terrible although they are homemade. Then I am from NY and maybe that is my standard. There was only hot bagels and toast everything else was cold fare.

Pros: We drove to Key West from Miami, and the Silver Palms has a great onsite parking lot that made it perfect for us. Rooms were lovely - very spacious, with plenty of room to unpack, spread out and relax. Private balconies were a plus. The pool area is not huge, but has nice comfortable lounge chairs and a bar. Breakfast was standard continental, except on Sunday they had an omelette station. It was an easy walk down to Duvall street and all the action.
Cons: Nothing, really. We would stay here again.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent. Don’t expect a full English but all served by a lovely chatty lady, who made us a pot of decaf specially each morning. Our room was big enough and had a fridge and coffee maker. The air con was noisy but had an eco setting so that it would not be on continuously. Many of the buildings are original wooden Key West construction so noise does travel from room to room but there were no children or noisy groups. Considering the property is situated right on Duval Street, the party street, it was peaceful inside and we had no problems sleeping. The lush tropical gardens are beautiful and contribute to the Keys atmosphere.

Cons: The price. All in all, it ended up costing us over $700 for one night and this was a room without a view and with a “lanai” that was more of a very, mini balcony. Keeping in mind when you are in Key West, you don’ t spend much time in your room, I can complain that much - just next time I won’t book such a nice place :)

Cons: Had to request toilet paper twice in a week. Sheets were dirty at check in. Room was made up, daily, but they didn’t change the sheets. I finally made a formal request on the 3rd day with the front desk and they changed the sheets and apologized, but that didn’t fix the problem the rest of the week. We were on an upper floor and in heavy rain, the windows and roof leaked and our suitcase full of our clothes were soaked. Room was smaller than advertised. Breakfast service tried hard but were understaffed, and standard breakfast took 1.75 hours and was pricier than most places. Pool closes early (at dusk).

Half of the stay we had to call for towels and washcloths. Housekeeping got angry when we asked them to service the room later than 10:00 am! The ac in the room was so cold and you couldn’t make it any warmer. So to warm up the room we had to shut off the ac completely.

Our room was at the far end of the 3rd floor wing and we looked over the jet skis etc (junk yard feel) Very little room to unpack for 2 for one week. A lamp had to be unplugged to shut off (did trade for another) shower ran all over floor (did fix). Bed not comfortable and made noise on one side getting in an out. Did not get bottled water every day which was promised. Hall way not cleaned the whole week lots of dog hair and trash (used Qtip bottle caps etc.) Would be gone all day and room not cleaned til late when we got back.

Cons: Hotel in desperate need of refurbishment. Not a great room. Terrible smell caused by seaweed (not the fault of the hotel). I was expecting something much better based on the images. Nearly checked out the day I arrived but decided to stick with it. Pool was nice (just about far enough from the seaweed).

Cons: The design of the hotel leading to the rooms was a maze for which I did not care for as it was confusing to find your room, elevators and parking garage. Also I did not realize that they charged for parking per day.

Pros: The localization. The construction of the hotel almost inside the sea. The bridge over the sea. The garden and the lights at night...
Cons: The vallet isn´t necessary at all. The Serbian recepcionist take an enternity with us and our bags all around the hotel from the lobby till the room.

Pros: The rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. The pool and beach area were extremely clean and well kept. The are plenty of water activities and beach games. The staff were friendly and helpful. The main part of Key West is only a 5 min walk for good food, shopping and nightlife.
Cons: The bar shuts at 10pm every night even at the weekends! Not good if you just want to relax and enjoy a couple of drinks. Parking is at an extra cost of $15 a night which is not included in the $25 resort fee. There was no mention of this when booking.

Pros: We had a nice and spacious room with a balcony overlooking the sea. What we did not like is the fact that the hotel is made of several intricated buildings. Our kids's room was far from our room and from the lobby.

Pros: Cheapest accomodation I could find in Key West. Stayed in mixed dorm room and was nice with beds having partial curtains. They supplied a towel and linen sheet; no blanket. Coffee was supplied in the morning, which was nice. 2nd time I stayed there. Will go again.

Cons: The bathroom situation. I knew it would be “shared” for the hostel....but they should really have a separate toilet available for people to use so that if someone is showering, you could at least use the restroom.

Cons: The rooms were absolutely atrocious! Disgustingly filthy bathroom and room. Mould and mildew throughout the room. Beds were constructed 2 x 4's. Horrible! Horrible! Avoid this at any cost! I'd rather sleep in the streets with the chickens iguanas, and homeless than here!

Cons: Tile floors were stained and sticky. Mildew smell. Mattress and pillows old and uncomfortable. Air conditioner could barely keep up. Room included a refrigerator, but this also wasn't that cold even on the highest setting.

Cons: I stayed in female dormitory, rm 18. Took 10min+ for warm water in shower, if it came at all. Bed was super firm, not most comfortable for my body type. Walls are thin. My bed was next to lit window/ATM/soda machine, so I heard all the noises of those machines and the conversations that go along with them.

Cons: The building is dated and worn, it part of its charm. It worked great for us. We were concerned with the room next to ours they were loud and smoking heavy (the smoking came in our window). The concern ended quickly and the guys next to us ended up being no problem at all.

Cons: The bathroom needs a renovation. Cold water shower only. Not even lukewarm water! When I arrived, lobby was empty and I called a few times and nobody picked up. Not even a sign "back in 5 min". So I didn't get the best first impression. If you get bed 3 in room 18 ask for a another one. Trust me. There's a window next to the bed and there's a street light next to it. So basically you're trying to sleep underneath a spotlight, which isn't happening. Even with my sleep mask I couldn't sleep. The room also has another door to a adjacent mixed dorm room. So people came into the room to exit through the female dorm room door. Very odd! I slept in hostels all over the world, this one is way too overpriced for low comfort and cold showers.
