Pros: This place is awesome! The location is so good, right in the middle of Duvall, but no noise or hassle from the street. We were able to park the car off of the street, which is always good. The pool is superb, the breakfast heavenly (one of the best breakfast choices we had on our entire Florida trip). Terry from the cocktail bar mixes one mean St. Germaine cocktail - SUPERB :-) The staff is super-friendly, all of them, they always ask if they can be of service for anything - again, one of the best experiences in the entire Florida trip.

The room was stylishly decorated with modern furnishings and was tucked into a quiet corner so the street noise was imperceptible. The pool is a tranquil, relaxing spot where we enjoyed cooling off and lounging for several hours each afternoon. The staff was cheerful and friendly, eager to help with any needs or questions. We would highly recommend the Orchid Key and will stay there again next time!

Pros: Orchid Key is a beautiful hotel. Our room was very clean with a large bathroom. Even though it was located on Duval Street, the water features around the property helped to drown out any road noise. The staff could not have been more accommodating, everyone was very nice and friendly. We would definitely return!

Cons: There was nothing that we disliked. Having read the description, we were prepared for the small size of the room, and we found it adequate for our needs. Super nice bath and ample storage. And we were not there to spend all our time in the room! Of course, we would have preferred to pay less, but Key West is expensive, and we knew that, too. We chose this place based on the descriptions and the majority of reviews, and we got exactly what we thought we were getting.

Cons: I did not like about this hotel were the extra fees. We were charged extra for having more than 2 people in a suite and also a resort fee which paid for beach access, wifi, etc. When you are paying a premium rate you expect these to be incl. in rate.

Pros: We made a reservation through kayak.com. We pointed out that we are looking for a hotel for 1 night for 2 adults and a child. We don't have interest in strange adult places, we are on family vacation. When we made reservation at kayak.com, we answered to a special question that the child is 9 years old. We were asked and out-stress that out. When we arrived at that strange place, they told us that this "property" is adult only and they will not accommodate us, nor they will refund our money. The receptionist said with oily voice that we will not receive our money back. And after that they withdraw our money for a service that they didn't provide. It's a shame. We were very frustrated, how on Earth this could happen. In Europe when somebody takes your money and doesn't provide requested service it could be treated as fraud. After that we spend several hours to find a proper hotel in that city and that costed us additional money. So thanks to kayak.com and that "hotel" we had a good "welcome party" in Key West.

Cons: I had reserved a Classic Double Queen City View room with a balcony. The room was to overlook the "lively streets of Key West." What I got was a 2nd floor room with a huge tree blocking the entire view of the 'beautiful' alley below. Also, upon check-in we were not told of the availability of rental bicycles and/or parking decals that were for sale at the desk. That would have been helpful since the nearest Duval Loop stop was quite far away. Breakfast was decent but could use more protein and/or hot foods.

Pros: The location is amazing, within walking distance of everything on Duval Street, plus the shuttle takes you anywhere on Duval, all the way to the Southernmost Point. I loved the private beach area, you can snorkel there and see tons of fish every day or just lounge in a floating chair and watch the boats go sailing by all within feet of the Beach Bar. The staff was great, eager to please.

Thank you to Matt The Manager for giving us a room with such an exceptional view. It made our trip worth every penny to be able to watch the sunset from our oceanfront balcony. We felt like Royalty♡ Both concierge ladies were very helpful whenever we had a question. The valet team was quick. We even got a special note, champagne, and strawberries in our room! Its a tropical environment for sure but we never had any issues cooling off in our room or at the pool. Location was everything! No need to rent a car.. but we did rent a golf cart for just one day and that was alot of fun to be able to explore over at Ft Zach, Smathers Beach and The AIDS Memorial by Higgs Beach. By the 3rd day our feet and legs were loving this idea! I was worried about the cruise ships blocking our view but we learned they have to leave before the sunset every night so it wasn't a huge nuisance since we didnt stay in the room most of the day. We will be back for sure!

Cons: Parking is a challenge. If you are lucky enough to get an assigned spot you still have people parking in your spot, so was frustrated paying for it but not getting it on return to Inn. One bartender was just mean. She was gruff and short with her words, not a people person!! The others were great! We requested no housekeeping , which was documented at the front desk (rooms are small and organization was a worry) yet our room was cleaned (amounted to fresh towels and making bed) every day. Locals swimming (2 different days this happened) was not impressive. When they come to only swim then leave, or talk about local friends and having to work later that day you can pretty well say they are not traveling.

The window blinds were cheap and didn't cover the window adequately, and so much light came through from the security light that we couldn't sleep. We covered it with paper after the first night. It looked like they never cleaned behind the bathroom door.

Cons: Pretty much everything was hugely disappointing. Looked like it would be a charming guesthouse - but the frontage of the property was very deceiving. The actual accommodation was more like a roadside motel with walls that were so thin you could hear every word of a conversation being held by guests in the adjoining room, tiny bathrooms, ridiculously loud air conditioning units which meant no sleep was possible as without the air conditioning the rooms were unbearably hot. And the beds squeaked and were covered in a nylon style bed protector that made trying to sleep even more uncomfortable. Wouldn't recommend.

Pros: The rooms are not on par with a Waldorf Astoria. I even looked at the 3 upgraded rooms and they are not Waldorf level. The grounds are excellent. The locations is excellent. The on site restaurant food is excellent. But the staff and the rooms - no.

Pros: The staff was friendly and the location was good.
Cons: The room was terrible, standing water on the floor when we first walked in, they did not offer a new room! There is so much water damage from hurricane Irma still there. Wall paper bubbles and water stains everywhere. I woke up the next morning very ill.

Cons: There was loud construction at 8 am right outside our door, the layout was very confusing, and we were hit with last minute fees. The room was that of any cheap hotel... It was not worth the thousands of dollars we spent to stay here.

Pros: Location. Everything else was below expectations for a Waldorf Astoria.
Cons: Hotel Room AC did not work well room was warm and humid. Shower water took several minutes to warm up. Room and bathroom doors were rusty and dirty. Valet parking is only option and Valet guys don't want to work early morning and take forever to get car.

Cons: The hotel was honestly falling apart. Our room had clearly been flooded at some point based on the rotting door bottoms. There was loud construction every day. I cant believe Waldorf allows this place to represent their brand.

Cons: Construction supports being installed below my room ( at times loud) to shore up the building's structure - not a comforting sight for an architect! They should wait till the hotel closes to do this. One elevator, and sometimes two out of order.

Cons: Gift shop charges twice as much as store across the street for same items. Dinning is very expensive at hotel restaurant. They charge 35.00 per night to park your rent car in their parking garage.

Cons: Am gold status with Hilton. Do not expect any recognition. Asked concierge for assistance holding keys for bike company to pick up. She said she can't be responsible for them. And expect to pay $40/day for resort fee to stay there PLUS parking

Cons: Hotel was very old and not worth paying $'----- a night. The Reach hotel doesnt have a direct number and even to order extra toiletries to your room it goes through Casa Maria ( other Waldorf hotel in key west) and No housekeeping got it for us.
