Pros: Perfect location in Key West. Almost everything is in walking distance yet it's a nice little hideaway from the main strip if you want some privacy. We loved the pool and hot tub. Also, the bar on premise is awesome and the coffee and breakfast served in the morning was great.

Pros: The staff was wonderful and helpful. The bar is friendly and the bartenders can give good tips on local restaurants and bars. The other guests were also friendly. It was a nice experience. You are very central to all the night life but far enough away so it is quiet at night.

Pros: We spent 3 nights at the Orchid Key Inn and loved everything about it. The location is perfect, with many great restaurants, coffee shops and bars close by. The room was stylishly decorated with modern furnishings and was tucked into a quiet corner so the street noise was imperceptible. The pool is a tranquil, relaxing spot where we enjoyed cooling off and lounging for several hours each afternoon. The staff was cheerful and friendly, eager to help with any needs or questions. We would highly recommend the Orchid Key and will stay there again next time!

Cons: I did not like about this hotel were the extra fees. We were charged extra for having more than 2 people in a suite and also a resort fee which paid for beach access, wifi, etc. When you are paying a premium rate you expect these to be incl. in rate.

Pros: We made a reservation through kayak.com. We pointed out that we are looking for a hotel for 1 night for 2 adults and a child. We don't have interest in strange adult places, we are on family vacation. When we made reservation at kayak.com, we answered to a special question that the child is 9 years old. We were asked and out-stress that out. When we arrived at that strange place, they told us that this "property" is adult only and they will not accommodate us, nor they will refund our money. The receptionist said with oily voice that we will not receive our money back. And after that they withdraw our money for a service that they didn't provide. It's a shame. We were very frustrated, how on Earth this could happen. In Europe when somebody takes your money and doesn't provide requested service it could be treated as fraud. After that we spend several hours to find a proper hotel in that city and that costed us additional money. So thanks to kayak.com and that "hotel" we had a good "welcome party" in Key West.

Cons: The middle of the bed frame was being supported by chunks of 2x4. One of them had collapsed so the bed sagged at the foot. With moderate effort I was able to replace this board and the bed was great afterwards, but I don't think I should have had to.

Cons: The pictures are not clear in that the rooms with a pool view balcony also sit over the parking lot. This is not a deal breaker but unexpected and not your typical pool view scenario. The bike rentals ion property were not clean and in rough shape.

Cons: The price. All in all, it ended up costing us over $700 for one night and this was a room without a view and with a “lanai” that was more of a very, mini balcony. Keeping in mind when you are in Key West, you don’ t spend much time in your room, I can complain that much - just next time I won’t book such a nice place :)

They were even given a bottle of champagne for New Year's Eve. Meanwhile, after paying $1000 per night, I paid $4 for a bottle of spring water. The carpet in my room was ripped up where it met the tile between the bed area and the entry way. The carpet needed cleaned in my room too. I could hear every conversation being had in the room next to me and out in the hallway. I could also hear every time the people upstairs walked anywhere. There was no bang for my buck there at all!

Pity the bathroom isn't in the middle but this is an old character property after all.

I finally made a formal request on the 3rd day with the front desk and they changed the sheets and apologized, but that didn’t fix the problem the rest of the week. We were on an upper floor and in heavy rain, the windows and roof leaked and our suitcase full of our clothes were soaked. Room was smaller than advertised. Cons: When you pay what we did and anticipate a trip for as long as we did you expect a little bit more comfort and luxury. Our room was at the far end of the 3rd floor wing and we looked over the jet skis etc (junk yard feel) Very little room to unpack for 2 for one week. A lamp had to be unplugged to shut off (did trade for another) shower ran all over floor (did fix). Bed not comfortable and made noise on one side getting in an out. Did not get bottled water every day which was promised. Hall way not cleaned the whole week lots of dog hair and trash (used Qtip bottle caps etc.) Would be gone all day and room not cleaned til late when we got back.

Pros: Ive stayed here before and had an excellent experience, which was what prompted me to return. Unfortunately, this time did not meet my expectations of a Waldorf property. Upon arrival there was not a single employee outside the hotel. I unloaded all luggage myself. There's NO ramp at this hotel, so i had to lug every suit case up the stairs. Sweating in a suit and arms full of bags and suit case handles, a customer sitting in the lobby ran out to hold the door for me, and even said, "wow, you'd expect more from the Waldorf" to which i said, "you read my mind." The front desk attendant was polite and informed me that valet was at a staff meeting and she did help me with my bags to my room.
Also, I ordered room service one night. Like the card said, i called the number to have them retrieve my tray, which i left outside of the door. 12 hours later when i was leaving in the morning, the tray was still there.
I didn't have a horrible experience by any means. But given that this is a waldorf property, i expected excellence, and i did not experience that.

Cons: Hotel in desperate need of refurbishment. Not a great room. Terrible smell caused by seaweed (not the fault of the hotel). I was expecting something much better based on the images. Nearly checked out the day I arrived but decided to stick with it. Pool was nice (just about far enough from the seaweed).

Pros: Cheapest accomodation I could find in Key West. Stayed in mixed dorm room and was nice with beds having partial curtains. They supplied a towel and linen sheet; no blanket. Coffee was supplied in the morning, which was nice. 2nd time I stayed there. Will go again.

Cons: The bathroom situation. I knew it would be “shared” for the hostel....but they should really have a separate toilet available for people to use so that if someone is showering, you could at least use the restroom.

Cons: The rooms were absolutely atrocious! Disgustingly filthy bathroom and room. Mould and mildew throughout the room. Beds were constructed 2 x 4's. Horrible! Horrible! Avoid this at any cost! I'd rather sleep in the streets with the chickens iguanas, and homeless than here!

Cons: Tile floors were stained and sticky. Mildew smell. Mattress and pillows old and uncomfortable. Air conditioner could barely keep up. Room included a refrigerator, but this also wasn't that cold even on the highest setting.

Cons: First of all, I don’t get why it’s called “Youth” Motel. There were a lot of older people, some of them seemed to be living there. Unfortunately the bathroom was really old and dirty. 12 people were sharing the same one so I thought, okay understandable that’s it’s not that clean. Well, after the cleaning lady was there, it didn’t look any different. Hair all over the floor, in the shower and the sink. Water was cold, too. Moreover there are no hangers or hooks in the dorm to hang up your stuff. They have some drawers though. Also there were bugs in the dorm room and sometimes ants under my pillow. Sorry, but I have definitely stayed in better hostels...

Cons: All the towels were stained and some had holes. Bed was very uncomfortable and pillow was hard. Not homey at all. Felt like a cell block. The bathroom was not dirty just dingy.

Cons: I stayed in female dormitory, rm 18. Took 10min+ for warm water in shower, if it came at all. Bed was super firm, not most comfortable for my body type. Walls are thin. My bed was next to lit window/ATM/soda machine, so I heard all the noises of those machines and the conversations that go along with them.

Cons: The building is dated and worn, it part of its charm. It worked great for us. We were concerned with the room next to ours they were loud and smoking heavy (the smoking came in our window). The concern ended quickly and the guys next to us ended up being no problem at all.
