Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect -- walking distance to both Beacon Hill Park (which your staff recommended, and we loved) and the waterfront and everything we wanted to see in the city. We enjoyed the spacious, clean accommodations. I really liked the oscillating fans, which were quiet and efficient. We appreciated the opportunity to enjoy the delicious chocolate toffee for free because we declined to have our linens replaced (which we would have done anyway, to support the environment). My daughter loved the private movie theater.

Pros:
Cons: We stood in line for 15 minutes (I counted) while ONE staff member dealt with ONE check-in ahead of us. (And there were people behind us...). Sure, she apologized when it was my turn, but who cares? Why didn't she call another staff member to check in others and speed things up? Why wasn't I offered an upgrade, or free drink at the restaurant, or one day free parking, or something as compensation? And we were staying 3 nights. Nope. A perfunctory apology was all I got. And don't tell me that a manager somewhere wasn't monitoring the various security cameras which observe that check in desk, so they knew - but apparently didn't care. Shameful. Very, very disappointing for a supposed luxury hotel.

Pros: I think we had the best room in the whole harbor, number 552. The receptionist offered to upgrade us for only $25 a night, and that was fabulous and memorable! Thank you!
Cons: I would’ve given you a top rating on everything, but, we decided to leave one night early because winds were picking up in the channel and we were afraid that the ferry would not be running on the morning that we were returning to Kentucky. We did not want to risk that on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. So we made a decision at 4 PM to leave on the Tuesday night 9 PM ferry instead of the 9 AM Wednesday morning ferry. However the receptionist refused to refund our last nights day, or even half of it. I understand that you all were within your rights not to do so, but this was not a choice that we had wanted to make. As it is, we had to pay for another hotel on the mainland side in order to ensure our timely departure on Wednesday morning from the airport. I do think you all could’ve met us Halfway. We did booked through booking.com, so perhaps that makes a difference, we don’t know about that. We are the innocent customer here who were just trying to ensure our safe return home before Thanksgiving, and did not leave early out of choice.

Cons: As my friend was visiting from Toronto- my husband and I planned to show here around made a visit to Victoria from Vancouver. Hotel grand pacific offered a great deal for a room for 3 - one night stay. So we decided to go for it. We were greated by a gentleman at the reception who made us feel very uncomfortable by actually pointing out and saying three people in one room? He asked this twice. Usually I would ignore - but the front desk host repeated it and made us feel very uncomfortable. Well the hotel offered so we took it. He even asked ids from all three of us. 2. When the credit card that I was using had a chip issue and on a second attempt it worked. He went ahead and said may be you transferred your savings to your chequing account. I dont believe it is his concern what I do with my card. This whole experience at the beginning of our trip made it extremely uncomfortable and bad for us. 3. Next day we found a sock in our room that did not belong to any one Of us. Left a note for staff I am sure house keeping must have found it.

Pros: The hotel is beautiful with super friendly staff. It seems a walk away from the museum and parliament building, but the location is only a 10-15 walk away with great views back over the water.
Cons: The only criticism I have is that the bar should be open past midnight on Saturdays. My sister and I returned from a show to the bar at 11:45pm to be told (very nicely) that last orders had been already called... It was a real shame because the bar was still busy with great music and people were arriving after us to the same message. We couldn't even get a soft drink so went to our room, which killed our vibe a little.

Cons: I liked all the environmental things they were concerned about trying to waste less resources etc ...... so what amazed me was that there were plastic bottles of water daily.... and even worse were Nestle. That did not keep in line with their environmental ethos.

Pros: The staff was easy to understand when explaining a number of complex issues. They left no question unanswered and were able to accomodate several requests I made to them.

Pros: A comfortable suite is much better value for the money than a single room. Very clean and well decorated with neutral colours, granite counter... way better than a stark white wall. Bed was comfortable. Location is great, centrally located but not a crazy busy/noisy street. Great walking around James Bay and Fisherman's Wharf.
I really, REALLY like that they take dogs too. The suite was super clean, no sign of dogs from other people which I liked (even though I have a dog)!

Pros: On the edge of the James Bay neighborhood, the Oswego is in walking distance to the Parliament, downtown, Chinatown and all the ferry and seaplane services in the inner harbor. Our family of four were very comfortable in the 1BR premium suite. The bistro is great for a cocktail with locals or a morning coffee. The concierge will hold your bags while you walk and shop if you’ve got a late clipper departure. We’ll be back!

Pros: Free upgrade to a suite, kitchen, helpful and super friendly stuff, cozy bed and apartment.
Cons: A bit noise-sensitive hotel, didn't have a "don't disturb" sign at first.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff were great. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good.
Cons: The room was very small. Couldn’t get the room temperature below 23...seemed to be something wrong with the heating. The pool and hot-tub were closed. I booked this hotel in large part because I thought it had a pool and hot-tub.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Spacious suite with stocked kitchen, pull-out couch. Nice pool, sauna, hot tub.
Cons: Could use a refresh (it's old feeling) however I'm afraid that will raise the price too much.

Pros: The bed was comfy.
Cons: Bathroom was dirty! Carpet had multiple stains. Cabinets in room had locks but nothing inside, cabinetry scratched and marked. Service and food in Blue Crab restaurant was poor. Pros: STAFF was VERY helpful and worked hard to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Breakfast was great!
Cons: Stairs were a problem for me. We were directed to the back of building to get access. That was A. LOT OF walking with my cane and sore leg and knee. Then to leave we went thru the dining room, since I didn’t want to walk around the block. More stairs, so not easily accessable.
The room did have shower and wall handles, which was great.

Pros: First impression and location. In it's heyday, this must have been quite the place.
Cons: If you look past the fascia (which is lovely), you can hear the exhausted sigh of the property just clamoring to hold on one more year. Scarcity - that's the sound. The sign in the shower is reflective, breakfast not included, rancid oil in cooking, etc.

Cons: Parking height is 6' but did not find out until after we purchased the parking pass and tried to park. Not a huge deal but when your tired and hungry it puts a damper on your mood.

Pros:
Cons: As I was sitting on the bed working on my Laptop a MOUSE came from under my bed and tried to climb up my jacket that was hanging on the chair. I called the front desk and a nice housekeeper came up and shook my shoes and looked under the bed with a flashlight to make sure that I could safely get out of bed. After I got out of bed I called the front desk told them that I could not stay there and that there is a gap on the bottom of the door and the rodents could be going to adjoining room or hallway. I also asked the front desk to have the Manager or Manager Christina call me. When I checked out I asked for a partial refund and was told only Manager Christine could do it and that she would call me. I called in two more times and left messages for Christina and no one has given me the courtesy of a return call. I requested a Manager 4 times to contact me it has been 6 days and no one has returned my call. Also, I asked in writing for an early check in for 9am and was told this request could be accommodated for when I arrived at the hotel. However when I arrived at 9 am I was told a canned repeated response many times that check in was at 3pm. I phoned back 2 more times and finally after driving around until 2 ;30pm was told I could come back to hotel.

Pros: Great price for Victoria
Cons: Lots of random people around the outside of the hotel smoking, etc, there is also liquor store and comedy club at the hotel. Not a great place for kids. Had to climb up stairs to get to room on first floor, difficult for some.
1.0 Poor
Pros:
Cons: Pathetic room cleaning - found cigratte buds in study table
5.0 Okay
Pros: Theres a pub beside it and a restaurant by the lobby
Cons: The guest in front of our room showed us that she can use her room key to unlock our room. This freaked me out so told the receptionist that I don't feel safe knowing that someone else can have access to our room. I also asked her why the other guests could use their key to access a different room. All she said was "im sorry about that". She didn't offer any solution so I had to request to be transferred to another room.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Receptionists were very good and responsive
Cons: Very dirty stair well from underground parking area, toilet had not been flushed after someone used it, wrong sized fitted bed sheet made for a night of fighting the bottom sheet, noise corridor until after 11 pm, noise neighbours on the second night
6.0 Good

Liked the good location of the hotel. And if the outdoor pool was heated you could get away with charging more. Room rates were pretty reasonable.
Cons: Well I understand the hotel is still in the process of getting a facelift but my partner and I had a broken toilet in our room. We came back later in the evening and were too tired to switch rooms. We were given that offer. We figured we could wait for maintenance to fix it the next day so we stayed in the original room. We were out all day the next day and upon coming back from watching the parade in the cold, we found the toilet was still not fixed. Staff tried to help that evening but they werent mechanics and we had to switch rooms in the end anyway. It felt really inconvenient at the time but it was better than nothing. Also didnt like how theres no breakfast of any kind and no indoor pool and hot tub.
