bed comfy.
didn't know we had to call for a pet friendly room.
Fun and pet-friendly
Reasonable cost for hosting our dog, too. Great location within Victoria - close to downtown (free shuttle) and other areas of interest. Enjoyed the amenities (pool, slide, ping pong table) more than expected. Happy staff.
Cozy/small room for two. Older building meant traffic and construction noise clearly heard.
Had a 60's retrofit theme
Was a little pricy for what you got.
The cool 70's vibe....
A little out of the way...Too much traffic nearby..
Fun motel with family focus. Was quite for our stay in the back window facing dealership side. I could see the front being really loud with construction going on at the Mall. Room was clean and serviced well. Pool, Jacuzzi and Bikes are fun elements for the kids.
The reason I was okay being away from waterfront was because of the shuttle but the shuttle is not really useful for out of town tourist. VW bus are cool but can accommodate only six people at a time. Their timings are 9 AM to 8 PM. Eight is too early I felt for a tourist to head back to hotel IMO Returning from downtown you have to call the hotel to schedule a pickup which could be a problem if your phone doesn't work in Canada. Anyhow BC Transit compensated for it well with 5$ all day pass. You can use the same ticket for Butchart garden no need to pay for expensive tour operators.
Great value
There were many options available for recreation at the hotel, including pool/sauna/hottub, ping pong tables, video game, bored games, music stations, bike and long board rentals. There were shuttles as well and location was awesome. Good restaurant on location. Beds were comfy.
Having to carry luggage up stairs.
Retro
The "retro" motif was fun for adults to remember and kids to find out how it was in "the old days". Extra effort was made to make touring of Victoria easy and stays fun with the pool with water slide.
For someone not used to city traffic noise, the busy road alongside could be fairly distracting.
Really good time
I liked the fun vibe, friendly staff. Travelling in fall meant I didin't have to worry about no AC.
Expen$ive restaurant on site, but plenty in walking distance. Pool could have been a little cleaner. Noisy at night with the road and the ice machine next to us.
Cool
Loved the fun colors and decorations.
Really small room.
A hidden gem
Design, free bike rental, price, great collaboration with the restaurant, and the free pool
Sound proof is weak (but tolatable)
Transformation of an older motel
Funky colors, excellent service, surprising rooms
Two floor complex so be aware of a heavy suitcase
It was grrrrrrrrrrreat!
big tv, comfy bed, friendly staff, friendly, huge shower area, free coffee, colourful rooms, arrt
the mirror was not clean.. didn't mind that but just to let you know if others mind that.
