Cons: Be very careful if you book this hotel through a third party booking service. They did not honor my booking and the entire check in was long and delayed. The Hotel Boscolo charged my credit card that I gave them for incidentals even after I showed and emailed them the copy of the booking. Very frustrating and I am still dealing with it weeks later.

Pros: This hotel was trying to be very arty and modern but room decor was too dark and comfort was compromised for style! When booking the photos showed a roof top bar and spa! However the roof top bar wasn’t really open there was a restaurant which was partly outside but not what the photos looked like! The spa was a jumped up plunge pool and lacked luxury plus you had to pay 90 euro for an hour and a half! Clearly in the spa things like fruit, tea bags had not been re stocked so felt a bit cheated paying 90 euro for a not very spa like experience!

Cons: On the last day we ordered poached eggs for breakfast it took the chef ages when they came out they were cold and we were almost late for our cab to the airport! Beds were comfortable and location good but the bar was pricey 12 euro per drink and was a bit too pretentious! Room service is 15 euro extra on top of meal bill so it was quite pricey although the hotel discounted this after the poached egg incident!

The front desk staff reminded us that check-in was at 2 p.m., but proceeded to allow 11 other couples/families to register and go to their rooms before 2 p.m.. We sat in the lobby for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The front desk did not check with the cleaning staff until we had been sitting there for an hour and a half, and I went to the desk a second time. Not a great way to start a vacation.

Hot food at breakfast was never hot - lukewarm warm at best. Table chess and table football took up 50% of bar area. Couldn't get a drink in the hotel between 10.30am & 6.30pm. Not even a coffee. Staff unsupervised and not well trained. I regret booking this hotel but you learn I suppose.

It's sad, because I really like the Generator concept. But it's not even close to the other ones I visited before.

That said, it's fine for the budget traveler. Clean room and decent shower, but the whole place from the lobby to the rooms are just much shabbier than they appear online.

Pros: The location was perfect within minutes of everything, restaurants, shops, pubs and most of the wonderful buildings for great sightseeing. We would definitely consider going back to this hotel. The staff are very friendly and very helpful.
Cons: The hotel was located on a very noisy street, so the noise in the night is quite loud, you couldn't sleep with the window open. Also other guests do not seem to care about how loud they are when walking passed other rooms, whether it be early in the morning or late at night. For a 4 star hotel the bathroom should not have mould in the shower cupicle, they do need to sort that out.

Cons: Staff responsibility and communication was awful because at the first on checking they said that you have to pay 200 Euros more and did not accept booking.com voucher and after wasting many time said that you are right. first morning they said breakfast is not include for your reservation and after eating breakfast they said we are wrong :( It seams that staffs are beginner and they are not suitable for 5* hotel.
