Pros: Very nice modern room - complementary snacks and drinks in small fridge was such a nice touch. Very comfortable bed with good pillows. Great rooftop terrace with large drink menu. Great front desk staff!
Cons: Our room didn't have any kind of view - it was an interior area. On the plus side, it was quiet with no road noise.

The hotel staff was very nice, especially the breakfast team. The breakfast was wonderful each morning before beginning our adventures for the day. The hotel is also very centrally located within walking distance of most sites. For the price, this is a great hotel.
Cons: The hotel is truly in the heart of this very fast-moving city. If you are looking for a romantic, European street with lots of outdoor cafes, bakeries, and shops, this is not for you. It's like a very busy downtown area with a ton of traffic. The Ambrosia restaurant was ranked very highly on Trip Advisor, so we made a reservation for our first night. We never went back. It wasn't horrible, but it was not to our liking. The restaurant service was somewhat rude and the food was dull.

Pros: The Hotel was beautiful and the details were well thought out and I was impressed with Boscolo Exedra.
Cons: Be very careful if you book this hotel through a third party booking service. They did not honor my booking and the entire check in was long and delayed. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect!
Cons: Location, cleanliness, restaurant, food..perfect!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 15 minute walk to la ramble and gothic quarter ... nice restaurants nearby
Cons: Small windows in room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is well positioned near the Vatican. Rooms are comfortable, staff are friendly, the breakfast buffet is good (just missing fresh fruit and a choice of egg beyond scrambled).
Cons:
5.0 Okay
Pros: Nice location and facility, comfortable and well-equipped room.
Cons: Impolite and not experienced people at reception, which doesn't match with the hotel appearance it showns. Take long time to check-in, due to system problem and not professional reception.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location & staff
Cons: Had to wait so long to get a room after check in time. People checked in @ 1:30pm. We did not get a room until almost 4:00pm.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel exceeded all my expectations The Starhotels Michelangelo are always good, I stay at them when ever I can, no matter what country.
Cons: Although, very close to the Vatican, approximately a 10 min walk. The hotel is a little far from the other points of interest in Rome,at least a 40 min walk.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was the reason I choose this hotel. Very convenient, clean and staff are very accommodating.
Cons: Not too many choices for breakfast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable
Cons: Property was fine, efficient staff, clean and comfortable bedrooms
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the hotel, the location
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great for visiting the Vatican City and St Peter's Square. Not so central for the great shopping on the other side of the Tiber.
Cons: The bar is a little bit miserable, it could be a bit more atmospheric. Breakfast was just OK.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was so helpful and nice. Hotel itself is comfortable and facilities are efficient. Price is good comparing the expectations.
Cons:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was very comfortable and beautiful. When we requested a taxi we were able to get them within five minutes and we were able to access any area we wanted to explore for $15 or less.
Cons:
The Starhotels Michelangelo embodies all the qualities that make Rome unique: cosmopolitan style, classical grandeur and a spellbinding, timeless appeal. It is located in the heart of Rome's Baroque splendour, only a short walk from Castel Sant'Angelo, the Vatican and St Peter's dome. The 179 newly renovated rooms and suites provide an oasis of calm after a lively day spent exploring the city and many of them offer a magnificent view of the St Peter's dome. The Dome by Eataly restaurant serves local and international dishes in a refined setting, while the discreet, informal atmosphere of the Dome by Eataly makes it the perfect place for a break, a quick lunch or a cocktail. The 2 meeting rooms can host up to 140 people and are equipped with cutting-edge technology, providing all the space and facilities needed to host business meetings and private events, impeccably organised by a team of professionals.
All of Rome is in easy reach from the NH Collection Roma Palazzo Cinquecento, located in the city center. Nearby cultural attractions include Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, the Dell’Opera Theatre, the Roman Colosseum, Circus Maximus and Quirinal Palace. Iconic sites such as the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain and Roman Forum are all within walking distance too. The hotel is located next to Termini Station, Rome’s main transport hub, with bus and Metro links. For shopping, the exclusive boutiques of Via dei Condotti are a short Metro ride away. NH Collection Roma Palazzo Cinquecento offers 177 freshly decorated rooms, with access to the hotel’s private terrace from ground-floor Premium rooms. All rooms have flat-screen TV and Wi-Fi as standard. Try a selection of regional and international cuisine at our restaurant. Every morning the breakfast buffet serves fresh pastries, cold cuts, cheeses and bread, and local specialties like panna cotta. Head to the roof terrace for 360° views of the city, or explore the garden, containing Roman ruins dating back to 6th century BC. There’s also a gym on site that’s free for guests to use. We can host your conference or event in one of our 6 meeting rooms – all with audiovisual equipment available.

Pros: The hotel itself is beautiful and modern. It was very convenient to have a hotel so close to the train and metro station. Probably the best part for me was seeing the ancient Roman walls and tower that they have in the garden of the hotel.

Pros: Breakfast was great, many choices as well as local products. You can also order an omelette but it would take a long time to deliver so we opted not to. The room and bathroom were spacious and we had a tiny balcony on the 2nd floor. There is also a coffee machine and a kettle and a free bottle of water. The hotel is very conveniently located next to Roma Termini train station which makes excellent for those who travel by train. From there you can also go directly to Fiumicino Airport by the Leonardo Express in 32 minutes. The Metro is also a few meters away where you can reach all the areas of attractions like the colosseum, the Vatican, etc. We would stay there again in our upcoming trips to Rome.

Pros: The Hotel was located in the middle of the center and it was a good location as it was close to the metro and just 20 min. walk to Colosseum and 30 min walk to the shopping street, Via del Corso. The breakfast was nice, for those who like cake and sweets in the morning it will be very much appreciated. One of the person i want to highlight in the Hotel was a very friendly staff member Cynthia, who came pass by me and my Partners breakfast table and wished us good morning and gave us some tips. She was the one also showed us to our rooms.

Pros: It was clean and the breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable
Cons: Paid extra to upgrade but the room was sparse. Poor storage and really uncomfortable, unless you wanted to sit on the bed when you were in the room. There was poor storage in the bathroom, meaning our toiletries had to be kept on the floor. The air con/heating sounded like a tractor all night. The wardrobe was falling apart, the curtains didn’t close properly and being close to the main Termini this meant light in the room all night. The ceiling in the bathroom was damp and the wallpaper peeling in the bedroom.
6.3 Good
Pros: The hotel itself is beautiful and modern. It was very convenient to have a hotel so close to the train and metro station. Probably the best part for me was seeing the ancient Roman walls and tower that they have in the garden of the hotel.
Cons: We had high expectations because this was the third hotel we were staying at on our trip and it was significantly more expensive than the others (which we loved). Yet this was the smallest room out of all of them. The trash can and tea kettle were broken in the room. This was also the only hotel that didn’t provide a complimentary breakfast, they wanted an additional $150+ to include breakfast.

Pros: Close to the bus station. The colosseum is approximately 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Limited menu but nice food for dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Pros: Splendid hotel with a small private pool and garden- has amazing LA payed back vibe, it opened a couple of years ago after renovation - so the rooms are in really nice condition, loved the bed- comfortable mattress and nice pillows. The hotel is perfect for couples, friends , young adults - Pacifico Restaraunt ( Michelin recommended) is downstairs , located in the beautiful garden, the place is also great for Pre-party drinks, Raspoutine club is around the corner. The room was not very big but had high celilings, a nice and big shower, Aqua di Parma toiletries and bathrobes. I was a bit concerned it could be noisy but we had a quiet room. For breakfast I loved that they cooked scrambled eggs or omelette and it was tasty. We also asked for check -out at 1 pm and it was nice it was provided

Cons: Separate restaurant and bar which is not part of hotel. 2 nights there were private parties so we weren’t allowed access to restaurant or bar. That fact alone will mean we will never return to that hotel. Not happy about that when we were paying 600+ euros per night

Cons: The breakfast was quite limited due to the small space - I could eat yougurts and scrambled eggs - so that was perfect for me. Wi-fi was not working in the lobby on the weekend probably because of the amount of people using it. The hair drier was not very effective and the room lacked the full-length mirror ( there were mirrored parts of the closet - so I could use it , but would love a full-length mirror inside

Pros: I liked that the hotel offered us a better room after initially trying to put us in a not renovated room that would have made me leave it at once were it the only choice. I liked that the hotel immediately brought us better pillows after we asked for the hard foam ones in our room to be replaced. I liked the breakfast and the friendly staff

Pros: Excellent service. Clean rooms. All toiletries and coffee well stocked. Polite and nice employees willingness to answer all your questions.
Cons: Bed was to hard for me. Hurt my back but I requested a mattress pad the day before checkout. I left my room all day and when I got back to the room the mattress pad was on the bed providing me a comfortable night sleep. Should have asked for it two days earlier.

Pros: Spacious rooms classic style. Comfortable beds. Good WiFi. Pleasant public spaces. Good location at around 20 minutes walk from Pantheon. Lots of eateries in vicinity in various price ranges from Michelin starred to simple pizzeria.
Cons: Single glazing means rooms at front can be noisy. Staff can be a bit surly, routinely. Breakfast is more four star than five.

Pros: The concierge staff is very helpful.
Cons: We arrived at the hotel at noon, after almost 24 hours of travel. We were exhausted. The front desk staff reminded us that check-in was at 2 p.m., but proceeded to allow 11 other couples/families to register and go to their rooms before 2 p.m.. We sat in the lobby for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The front desk did not check with the cleaning staff until we had been sitting there for an hour and a half, and I went to the desk a second time. Not a great way to start a vacation.

Pros: Facilities: Double room was comfortable, plenty of natural light and a great view of the angelicum opposite. Shower was to die for. Free safe box. Mini bar (chargeable) was reasonably priced. TV channels are all Italian (shocker I know!) Breakfast was continental - cereal, toast, pastries, meats, cheeses, fruit and small selection of egg, sausage, bacon etc. No complaints. Location: Location is exceptional. On the doorstep of Trajans market. Colosseum/pantheon/Trevi fountain/Spanish steps/piazza Venezia and other landmarks are within 15 mins walking distance, if that. We did all of the above in one day and did <20000 steps total, all done on foot. That’s how central it is. Vatican is a little farther out and will need public transport/taxi. Plenty of gorgeous local restaurants/eateries nearby. Staff happy to recommend and book for you. Staff: Are fabulous. Friendly, courteous, attentive, approachable, knowledgeable. What else can you say. Return/Not Return? Definitely return. Highly recommended.

Pros: Room was beautiful!! There was free water and fruit for us when we arrived. Nice staff as well.
Cons: Breakfast was ok. There could've been more selection. Eggs were just ok at best.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and simple modern luxury close to attractions. Sleek simple rooms that were tidy and clean with comfortable beds. Friendly accommodating staff. Restaurants on site were great and staff had plenty of recommendations for the area as well. Nice for the price. I would recommend.
Cons: Rooms ran a bit hot. HVAC could have been better in our room...windows opened so provided a comfortable climate. Breakfast started a bit late for early risers and no option for just a grab and go coffee. Room tax needs to be paid in cash at the end but that is due to city procedure and no fault of the hotel. Come prepared but ATMs are close.

7.0 Good
Pros: Great style and great location.
Cons: Not actually a 5 star hotel. Breakfast, 20Euro, was incredibly average with tiny mass made croissants. The walls of our room were covered in scuff marks. There is a hot tub and sauna but they want you to pay 100Euro/hour to use it-NOTa luxury hotel move.

10.0
Pros: The breakfast was excellent with good choice of hot and cold food; very good selection of fruit. The restaurant on the delightful roof terrace was extremely good and reasonably priced. The bedroom and public areas were spotlessly clean. The location is superb: just inside the Aurelian Wall (and therefore quiet) but around the corner from the via Veneto, with upmarket cafes, shops and excellent transport. I cannot praise the hotel highly enough.

9.6
Pros: Staff from front desk to wait staff very, very helpful. The rooms were clean and nice. I would have preferred to be nearer to main attractions but we took cabs which the hotel staff arranged for us so there was no problem. Again the entire staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Pros: The room was very large and quiet. The a/c worked great and was very quiet. Although the large tub was appreciated it made for an awkward shower. The bathroom was quite large and exceptionally well lit. The staff at the front desk as well as at the roof terrace were very friendly and helpful. The terrace is a wonderful place to escape from the city hustle and bustle. We had two absolutely delicious dinners up there! Was a great place to spend 5 nights at the end of a long trip.

Pros: Great location, friendly and helpful staff, easy and fast check-in / check-out, not big but comfortable room with everything you need, just enough for 2 ppl. We didn't hear any noise from the street in the room.
Cons: There was some (little) smell in the room, but it didn't annoy us much even though normally we are quite sensitive to the smells. It was great that there was coffee, water and snacks provided every day. There were some loud guests as well, who we heard at night, but I guess hotel can't really influence guests' behaviour.

Cons: I booked for a triple room and when I reached there it was missing the other bed, it was exhausting to talk with the receptionist and get the extra bed, the guy was rude and not friendly.

Then we were thinking of leaving and we were offered a room on the mezzanine level as they have been completely remodeled complete with new AC. Wow, it was like we were in a different hotel! Fresh and modern, great bedding and bath area. Stay in only the remodeld area only and you be very, very happy.

Pros: Very nice place in a great location
Cons:
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, location, location. We could easily walk to any of the sights we wanted to see. Staff was friendly and helpful too.
Cons: It's not that we didn't like anything. Just know it's an older hotel with older furnishings and features.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly service.
Cons: No dresser to put clothes. One lamp did not work. Cot was uncomfortable. No movie channel. Phone "0" did not not reach reception. Mini-bar was not refilled twice.
9.0 Excellent
Pros:
Cons: The young lady at check in was excellent but the older gentlemen at check out was very rude and unwilling to help.

Pros: The breakfast was FANTASTIC!! I would come there just to eat! The bed was extremely comfortable and the room amenities were great. The roof top bar/restaurant was very cool and the staff throughout the property were so nice and acccomdating...
Cons: The bedroom was way too small...very cramped and the elevator was just big enough for 4 people. The rooftop bar/restaurant was fun...just wish the wall was either shorter, or they had higher bistro type tables with stools so you could enjoy the view without standing.
6.8 Good
Pros: Staff was very helpful. Wasn't expensive
Cons: I didn't get the room I paid for

Cons: Nothing. It was perfect!
2.5 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: Rudeness of staff, damp and mild in room, cracks, dirt and overall disappointed.

-best "included breakfast" I've had in Italy. nice spread of fresh fruit, eggs, beacon, cured meats +cheese, pastries. Orange +pineapple juice + water
Cons: -overall value wasn't there for me. We stayed at much better Airbnbs and other hotels with AC, just as clean, better locations and more useful staff for a fraction of the price. Not worth the gym, spa or breakfast.
Highly suggest the Azuri Guest House. It's a bit smaller and less"grand" but about 3x Cheaper, very clean and has AC. Located in the monti district where you can find cheap good food, it's more central and has a nightlife.
-room was hot and humid with no way of adjusting the temperature mid October(the number 1 reason for getting a low score)
-no way to turn AC on once they turn Heat on (ok if you don't mind noise by openining window)
-reception is a bit stupid and lazy. Couldn't get towels, they didn't "know how to book a shuttle or taxi to the airport"
-small gym that's not properly ventilated, it's extremely stuffy in there. 2 treadmills, a bike, up to 10kg dumbbells and a really bad piece of techno gym equipment.
-Elevator is really small.

Cons: Outdated interior style - but in the end contributes to the charm of Rome.
5.0 Okay
