Bathroom was missing toilet paper. There was trash on the floor by the bathtub. Suspect that the pillows and mattress were old. Allergies went into overdrive during the night. Had to take allergy meds to be able to breath.

Cons: Poor staff looks tense and tired. They do their jobs but far away from the word “ hospitality or friendliness”. If you are the person who likes to give your smile to people and expect to be treated the same way, please don’t expect anything from tired staff. We thought it was typical for Rome, but we found we were wrong when we moved to another hotel in different area in Rome. In that hotel we were greeted with smile and conversation.

Cons: We got in late and ordered room service. After eating we called about our tray. They instructed us to put it outside of the door and someone would pick it up. The next morning, around 7am, the tray was still out there. That was kind of off-putting.

Pros: This is our 3rd stay in this hotel. Rooms were modern and spacious. It was very comfortable. Bathrooms were also very spacious. Breakfast buffet was tasty and had a good variety. It wasnt too expensive either. Front desk staff was generally very helpful in booking taxis, arranging late checkout, answering questions... It's just too bad one of them really had a bad attitude.
Cons: There isn't much to do nearby - location was just okay. It seemed very quiet with a lot of empty restaurants around the block. When we checked-in, the extra bed wasn't ready. Front desk staff Daniela is very rude. She was visibly irritated when I asked for the breakdown of charges, and when I asked to pay for the rooms with cash instead of a credit card. When I inquired about some of the charges I didn't recognize, she got even more irritated because she had to check other records! She couldn't even add up 2 rooms properly and assumed I didn't give her enough cash! And then she aggressively gave back all the cash when I was just asking for the change. She even raised her voice at me twice when I asked for her name (I didn't need to ask as they all wear name tags. It was out of courtesy). "why?!!! Why do you need my name?!!!" I thought she was going to grab the pen and paper out of my hands!! (I was just going to reference her in case the email she promised to send didn't arrive.) One other staff had to come over and try to smooth things over and apologize for her.

The hotel is perfect for couples, friends , young adults - Pacifico Restaraunt ( Michelin recommended) is downstairs , located in the beautiful garden, the place is also great for Pre-party drinks, Raspoutine club is around the corner. The room was not very big but had high celilings, a nice and big shower, Aqua di Parma toiletries and bathrobes. I was a bit concerned it could be noisy but we had a quiet room. For breakfast I loved that they cooked scrambled eggs or omelette and it was tasty. We also asked for check -out at 1 pm and it was nice it was provided

Cons: The breakfast was quite limited due to the small space - I could eat yougurts and scrambled eggs - so that was perfect for me. Wi-fi was not working in the lobby on the weekend probably because of the amount of people using it. The hair drier was not very effective and the room lacked the full-length mirror ( there were mirrored parts of the closet - so I could use it , but would love a full-length mirror inside

Cons: I loved everything about our stay. We had to leave before breakfast was served on two days so I would have liked to have had breakfast. I am confident that they would have accommodated an early breakfast if I made the request, but I was running late and didn't ask.

Cons: My problem with the room was that I couldn't seem to get any heat in the bathroom. In addition, I'm not an overly large person (180 lb. American male), but the shower area was just too small for me to move around comfortably.

Cons: Breakfast had a variety of foods but each day each was exactly the same thing. Plenty of food but not particularly inspired. On the other hand the cappuccinos were excellent!

Cons: First of all, the staff wasn’t nice at all, not qualified for a 4 stars hotel. I asked for an early check in since we arrived at 9 in the morning. They said they will try but not even after the people left from hotel, they didn’t give us a room keep saying isn’t ready. We finally got a room at 1 pm. In whole this time they didn’t ask if we need a coffee or a glass of water. For a 4 stars hotel they didn’t have a bathrobe and for slippers we had to ask at reception and it seemed they are doing us a favour. We asked for a restaurant nearby in the evening and the lady from reception was very bad informed, telling us is nothing opened nearby and we should go to another area which was far. We found by ourselves a restaurant 1 min walking from the hotel... :| Not a 4 stars hotel.

There is a window but it led to a courtyard that is really messy or maybe under construction I didn't really take a look. I feel like the location is also in a bit of a sketchy area, because it is close to the main station so beware of safety.

Cons: I have a diverse feelings about a staff there. The first day they were nice and after my cell phone got stolen (but not in the hostel) the man working at reception allowed me to use their computer to print my tickets and was very helpful. In the next morning when I wanted to book the same bed for another night the price suddenly was almost two times higher (14eur friday vs. 27eur saturday night). Since I didnt had a phone I could'nt check booking.com for actual prices there and for other options in the city so I agreed. Next day I met a girl from Mexico who was also looking for a place to stay and since apart from the last price I liked both Generator Hostels I've stayed (Rome and Berlin) I suggested her to go there with me. It was about 12.00 so before checking in we decided to spend some time in the hostels bar where is nice atmosphere. When we were on our way to the bar the lady who is working in reception stopped us and in very rude way said to me that she (mexican girl) is not allowed to go there because she is not a guest and only I can go. Also I dont understand why she didnt say it to her but to me, making her feel very bad and offended. Probably she assumed that she is just some local italian girl who I met on a street or some bar. So we just choose another place. If wasnt that situation we would stay there for two more nights (and mexican girl even four) because overall I liked that place.

Cons: The hotel needed an urgent refit. We were moved 3 times. First room bed was broken. Second room was very noisy and we had requested a quiet room. Third move the shower was broken the taps didn’t work. The curtains didn’t pull. The hotel was in a very shabby state.

Cons: The hotel is in bad shape. Carpet is shabby, paint chipping off walls, etc. I'd stayed at a Eurostar hotel in Munich that was modern, clean and very comfortable and thought the Rome location would be similar since it's a chain...but they seemed like two different companies.
That said, it's fine for the budget traveler. Clean room and decent shower, but the whole place from the lobby to the rooms are just much shabbier than they appear online.

Cons: the superior room i booked looked contemporary with nice furnishings, however on arrival we were allocated something completely different, when i complained i was informed there was more than one type of superior room, it was only when i refused to move from reception that the room i thought i had booked was allocated to us so beware you may end up at the front of the hotel overlooking a very busy/loud main road. Stated television with internarional channels, only one english one - BBC World News ! No tea/coffee making facilities in the room - unacceptable for the price we paid.

Then we were thinking of leaving and we were offered a room on the mezzanine level as they have been completely remodeled complete with new AC. Wow, it was like we were in a different hotel! Fresh and modern, great bedding and bath area. Stay in only the remodeld area only and you be very,very happy.

Cons: -overall value wasn't there for me. We stayed at much better Airbnbs and other hotels with AC, just as clean, better locations and more useful staff for a fraction of the price. Not worth the gym, spa or breakfast.
Highly suggest the Azuri Guest House. It's a bit smaller and less"grand" but about 3x Cheaper, very clean and has AC. Located in the monti district where you can find cheap good food, it's more central and has a nightlife.
-room was hot and humid with no way of adjusting the temperature mid October(the number 1 reason for getting a low score)
-no way to turn AC on once they turn Heat on (ok if you don't mind noise by openining window)
-reception is a bit stupid and lazy. Couldn't get towels, they didn't "know how to book a shuttle or taxi to the airport"
-small gym that's not properly ventilated, it's extremely stuffy in there. 2 treadmills, a bike, up to 10kg dumbbells and a really bad piece of techno gym equipment.
-Elevator is really small.

Cons: The location was not convenient for tourists. It was not a 4 star hotel by any means. I'd give it a 3. The first room we stayed in was so small that two people could not move around and the bathroom seemed old and not so clean. The staff was unfriendly. They gave half responses to questions, would not help us find alternative transportation services to the airport for example because they only worked with one service, and the breakfast was horrible. We stayed at 2 star hotels that had a much better breakfast.

Pros: The hotel is next to a train station which makes it convenient if you intend to use the train. However, it is a bit of a drive to the main attractions of the city and we used taxi most of the time so we had to shell out euros there. The property has a restaurant, swimming pool, spa, massage available which is great. The staff was friendly. I would suggest going in for a junior suite instead of the other basic option. The junior suite was much more spacious which a lavish bath and toilet area. The space helps if you have families with kids.

Cons: Don’t take the basic room ( the one below the junior suite). You might end up sleeping next to the shower. An additional 50 euro will get you a junior suite with much more room to move in. The breakfast, when I compare it to some of the other breakfasts that we had at other hotels in italy, was nothing less than underwhelming. They could really focus on their basics and food is one of them. I didn’t try the restaurant and thus can’t comment. Looking at the breakfast, I didn’t even try.
