10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is newly opened and lovely. Ample parking and comfortable rooms. Staff were excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. The included breakfast is wonderful, and the afternoon "kickback" includes three alcoholic beverages of your choice and a hot food buffet - quite a surprise and very good! We didn't use the fitness center as we were occupied with family, so I can't comment on that or the pool. We liked it very much and would stay again in a heartbeat.
Cons: No negatives for us.

Pros: Staff was friendly and room was clean.
Cons: Unfortunately, we had a family emergency shortly after checking in and we had to leave. We didn’t get to anything more than check in, go to dinner and then rush back to get out things so we could drive back home to our family. :(

9.4 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and great location. Staff was very accommodating
Cons: The room service food was absolutely terrible and it took over 45 minutes to "cook" and bring up to our room. Over priced for bad, cheaply made food
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was very nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable
Cons: The hotel was very busy and a bit chaotic. The parking garage was full so we had to finding parking elsewhere.
4.0 OK
Pros: For the price, the TV was freezing during the program and would shut down without warning. The staff arrived quickly and was able to correct within 15min but by that time the program was no longer available the room was cold, and the thermostat wasn't working properly The bathroom was poorly cleaned and the toilet seat was loose and not replaced
6.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful hotel with excellent customer service
Cons: My room was located next to a hospitality room where young people were talking very loud on a Sunday early morning. We were awaken at 5 am due to noisy neighbors.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Room was excellent, staff was fantastic
Cons: For having 12 elevators they were slow and stopped at every floor instead of alternating . Floors of elevators were filthy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was staying at the JW for a conference and the accommodations were convenient and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout the facility. Great job.
7.3 Good
Pros: well located, modern, clean, efficient staff.
Cons: King size bed, while comfortable, needs to be "pillow top" as it is hard, even for a 270lbs man, to enjoy a restful night sleep. These should be standard in your concierge floor. Paying $31.00 for parking. The location does not permit parking on the street. This reservation was at rack rate.... Wi-Fi access, was "free" in the concierge lounge, but a $12.00 charge when in the room. Not too logical.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, comfortable, and excellent location for access to convention center. Some of the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. They were all extremely helpful, available, and always smiling. Parking garage was easy in and out. View from room was beautiful.
Cons: Long waits for elevators, especially at night. Ice only available on 2nd floor. No refrigerator or microwave in rooms. Wi-fi and parking rates very expensive.
6.0 Good
Pros: the hotel decor and staff were great.
Cons: I paid extra for the "City View" only to be put at the back of the hotel. Also, our room was right beside the elevator. The elevator made a high pitched squeak every time it moved. We were celebrating our 22nd anniversary at the noise was annoying and kept waking us up.

7.7 Good
Pros: Location to great restaurants and basketball stadium. Very polite staff throughout hotel.
Cons: Restaurant service is slow, which was not a problem when catching up with good friends but it was noticeable. Walls between rooms were thin. We could clearly hear everything in the room next to us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small modern hotel with a restaurant and bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room wasn't huge but very nice and the location was perfect! Loved the coffee maker, I enjoyed the espresso that was much needed!
Cons: Nothing, it was just right.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The room although not big felt spacious. Staff was very inviting and helpful.
3.1 Mediocre
Cons: We left with what appeared to be some sort of bites. After some investigation, we discovered they were bed bug bites. And they turned into very itchy and painful sores. More developed in the next couple of days. We did call so they could exterminate the bed. Frank said he would comp the room. We never asked for it but why say it if you aren't going to do it.

Pros: The location, inexpensive parking, friendly staff, clean pool & spa.
7.7 Good
Pros: full kitchen, sitting area in suite, snacks in evening and breakfast in the morning
Cons: small pillows-why have a king bed with pillows smaller than standard ones? Our room wasn't serviced on the Friday we were there. Ran out of bathroom tissue...used kleenex and had to use a hand towel to dry after showering as no clean towels available.

The Alexander - Indianapolis - Building

Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and a 24-hour front desk. Planning an event in Indianapolis? This hotel has facilities measuring 16500 square feet (1533 square meters), including conference space. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
7.7 Good
Cons: Room smelled
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious and comfortable. Complimey breakfast was also very good.
Cons: Light switches were weird and difficult to find
6.2 Good
Pros: The art and design elements are excellent. Staff is friendly and accommodating to guests. The popcorn and hummus at Platt 99 (bar) was good. Nice Gin selection too.
Cons: The first suite room I was given it had a strong mildew smell. The second room did too but just not as much so I didn't say anything. There was a water mark on the bathroom ceiling. (note: spoke with an Indy friend that was recently down there using a conference room during a heavy rain and water was coming near the windows. No doubt there's a water leak issue). The bed sheets had a tear in it and I ran out of toilet paper since the roll was low and they didn't leave a spare. The "mixology" bar is lacking the "-ology." The bartender hasn't studied much as she mixed my Tom Collins with Sprite. Just a notch above using sour mix. Went with just Gin and Tonic on the second round and got upcharged for Q Tonic. So, they hit it on the surface but miss on execution of product. The good news is it's easily correctable and I hope they do because this is a nice addition to Indianapolis.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Boutique feel in a business size hotel.
5.1 OK
Cons: The soup came warm but didn't come with a spoon. The salad came warm (vs cold) and didn't come with any dressing on the salad or on the side, also did not include the ingredients as listed on the menu. The pasta came warm but did not have the ingredients as listed on the menu, was just pasta and onions, basically inedible. Beer and white wine were not served cold, everything was room temp. I will say it was a Holiday so they were likely understaffed in the kitchen, but when you are a boutique hotel open for business with no restaurants or bars open, and left with only room service to offer charging full price it should at least meet the menu ingredient expectations. Otherwise call the guest and make another recommendation for available food options.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: energy efficient pet friendly clean modern good location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the atmosphere and the modernness of the hotel.
Cons: The toilet didn’t work all the time.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great look. Excellent room. The bar has terrific drinks and food
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Urban feel, crisp, 2 excellent bars and outdoor terrace, hip, green, upscale, quiet but not dead, very accommodating staff, close but not in the noisy center of things. The art and furnishings are the best. I saw that a Yolk breakfast restaurant was opening on the corner. That's a great breakfast place. You can take your dog, they even have a place to walk him.
Cons: Getting into or out of the parking garage seems to always be a a hassle. No pool, but sometimes that's a good thing = no noisy children. I just like to know I have the option. No rooms have tubs, but they have great showers.
6.8 Good
Pros: The bar was amazing. Bartenders were extremely knowledgeable and it was a really fun atmosphere.
Cons: I found two used bandaids on a pillow in our room. Ruined the hotel experience for me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We truly enjoyed the initial vibe walking into the hotel and seeing the colorful lamps. The artwork throughout the hotel was a bonus. Cannot wait to visit Indy again. The only downside...did not have a chance to go to the bar...next time!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the art throughout the hotel, made it special to be there. Food and drinks were good, the room was very nice. We hope to visit again!

4.5 OK
Cons: They turned off the water while I was brushing my teeth in the morning, so I could not rinse my mouth. They said the water would be off all day. As a result, I was forced to leave them a present in the toilet.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: We liked the friendly staff from the minute we walked into the lobby- everyone was very helpful! The hotel was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do! Fabulous weekend!!
Cons: We never did get the comfort beds to work but slept ok anyway!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Front desk staff was fantastic. I left my Ipad in the car that was valet parked and they retrieved it in a flash! Connor, the valet supervisor, gave excellent directions for walking to Mass Ave. and was very cordial. Room was very quiet and the bed was so comfortable. Would absolutely return to this hotel!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great. They helped us plan our night when plans were changed and they gave us amazing advice.
Cons: One reason I picked this hotel was to enjoy the pool and it was closed for cleaning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great to be within blocks of all the activities on monument Square. All employees were very nice and accommodating.
7.4 Good
Cons: the hotel charged my credit card for the stay when i had already been charged by the online booking service and the hotel also charged the online booking service and i have yet to get assistance resolving the matter. i talked to two different people who have told me two different things. When i asked for a copy of my receipt they sent me a blank receipt. When i checked out, i was told the total charge to my card and then told "oh, i wasn't supposed to tell you that". They had asked me to pay again, saying my credit card was declined. When i got home, my credit card statement said otherwise.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Atmosphere, Charm (Exposed brick and Original Beams), Friendly and Helpful Staff, Clean
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Location was amazing. The suite style room was nice. It wasn't lush as I'm accustomed to. Yet, I couldn't of asked for a friendlier staff and the housekeeping was worth more than money could buy. The hotel even had an officer in lobby during the late hours. Which was comforting.
Cons: I only have one complaint. The parking garage was 2 blocks away. I felt guilty asking the valet to get the car when I had forgot a few things out of it. So I went without. Also, the $27 a night was a bit much plus tipping. But, the weather was freezing, so okay... Well worth it, I guess. Problem with Priceline... Don't book to early, watch for price changes. I could of saved over $100 if I would of waited or even Just booked through hotel. ( live and learn ) I frequent Indy often, this was my first visit to this hotel. But, I will return. Location is AMAZING. And...now I know true price. You'll not be sorry. The rating for this hotel is way to low.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Love the tall ceilings and the brick walls
Cons: We woke up about 1pm to the sound of the music from the bar located next door. This went on until 3am when the bar eventually closed.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Alexandria,Va
Cons: Noise on ally outside my room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked that the hotel was SO clean, the service was excellent and the breakfast was great! Overall the best hotel I've stayed in, in a long time and will only stay here from now on! -McKenzie

4.0 OK
Pros: Nice spacious room. Good breakfast.
Cons: Did not know I would be charged $18/day for parking. Also I had to forego using the internet as I did not know I had to be a hotel club member to use the internet. Traffic noise was a bit much, and the hard hall floors echoed at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location, shuttle was awesome, considering it was raining and I did't want to walk to the convention center, breakfast was good. Thanks HI-X.

Pros: The location is great for downtown events. Love that they have a shuttle available for downtown travel. The check in took a little longer because the employee helping me doesn't normally work the front desk but was helping out. Super friendly though!!

Pros: How nice it was
Cons: No free breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was a nice clean room. Beds were nice. Bathroom was clean. Tv was good, plus higher up floor was superb for me.
Cons: Not being able to smoke inside. It was very cold and biting outside. A smokers lounge or balcony would have been much appreciated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel staff (all of them, not just one or two) were so friendly I thought I had entered the Twilight Zone. The breakfast was delicious and we had a manager, chef and two servers check in on us. I felt like royalty! Great food! Had a custom made egg white omelet with fresh fruit and cute little fresh made waffles. Great selection to please everyone. Room was clean and spacious, and bed was comfortable. We had a view of a little lake. Hotel is right next to a mall or shopping. I would definitely stay there again if in the area.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Restroom in the suite had a sliding pocket door that would not close completely and did not feel private.
5.3 OK
Cons: I asked for my room to be cleaned, they never did it. Asked for more shampoo and conditioner, never received. Hotel night staff was not friendly. Also, valet was slow and confused.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and fresh. Spacious. A great value for the dollar.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was large. Liked that there were two sinks with a bathroom that contained a shower and sink and a separate bathroom with a toilet and a sink. This set up worked well with two travelers. Seating area in the room was also nice. The location is great if you need to access the JW Marriott.
Cons: The card key system didn't work well. It usually took a few tries to get the elevator to work and sometimes took more than one try to get into the room.
7.4 Good
Pros: Location is fantastic and the staff is and were attentive and knowledgeable.
Cons: The Valet parking has always left me with a sour taste. Again I called 15 minuets prior to my departure, and still waited 15 minuets more for my car at 5:30 in the morning. With flight to catch it adds a lot of stress and leaves me frustrated after a nice stay.

4.0 OK
Cons: Even though it is likely not very old many items feel dated. The thermostats in the rooms are old and difficult to operate. Over the multiple stays I have had there the treadmills have been broken even though they have been brought to the attention of the staff. Even many of the staff are not very pleasant. This is definitely a first for a Garden Inn for me.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, quiet room in our experience, decent breakfast for $10
Cons: The "comfort control" on the beds actually do nothing.

6.2 Good
Pros: Room was very comfortable, although dated. Big bedroom and living area, including kitchen.
Cons: Access for a person in a wheelchair was almost impossible. The ramp to the front door is much steeper than ADA would permit. Elevators were too small.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was excellent and very helpful
Cons: Parking prices
4.2 OK
Pros: Location
Cons: No parking available for guests upon check-in. We had to find a public parking lot several blocks away. Bathroom sink would not drain. When the toilet was flushed, water backed up in the sink. Bathtub faucet was very loose from wall and fixtures didn't look clean.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location was great, and cannot be beat. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious and comfortable!
Cons: Parking should either be included or discounted for those staying. We reserved a King deluxe facing the city and got 2 full size deluxe room facing air conditioning units on top of the conference center. Overall clean hotel, but for a downtown hotel for the price, it wasn't satisfactory.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Convenient with helpful staff. Very nice rooms. Great having a starbucks in lobby.
Cons: The restaurant in the hotel was a pseudo-high-end steak place, not good for travelling with kids.
5.7 OK
Pros: The food, particularly the oatmeal, was very good. Also, the room service and front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: We had to wait well into the evening (until 7 or 8nat night) for our room to be cleaned and that only happened by then because we asked. Several times. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom, the shower curtain smelled of mildew and there was mold in the shower
6.5 Good
Cons: the renovation finishes we not up to par, everything was sloppily done. our roon overlooked a nasty rooftop. we had to pay an additional $30 to park our own car on the premises after the room was over $150. Ridiculous and we expected a beautiful hotel. The whole lobby was under construction and it was embarrassing to have to bring my guest in to that.
6.0 Good
Pros: Heavenly bed, as usual
Cons: The staff was so nasty. Ms. Morales was disrespectful and ambivalent to the customer experience.
6.5 Good
Cons: We were given the keys to an occupied room, which turned out to be an NFL player, then left in the hallway for an hour while the hotel tried to figure out where to put us. They told us the hotel was empty from New Year's Eve the night before but seemed to have booked the only two customers to the same suite! No apologies whatsoever from the manager of the hotel after the hour and a half inconvenience of looking at three rooms before finally getting to what we paid for. We were given a credit to the hotel restaurant and when we tried to use it the bartender told us to pay the tab and the front desk would reimburse us the next day. Thought it was weird but had somewhere to be so I paid the tab. Needless to say, we didn't get a dime back of the "credit" we were supposed to receive, instead we spent $70 on a restaurant we weren't planning to go to. The customer service we experienced for a Westin was unbelievable and they did nothing to make up for all the issues. Will never stay here again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was of downtown and from the 13th floor pretty incredible. Everything we needed was within walking distance which for us was wonderful.
Cons: For the cost of the room, tacking on a fee for wifi seemed much. Being in this hotel for business made conducting business difficult and the computers in the lobby were no help. I feel a bit like I paid for more than what I got out of staying in this hotel; beautiful, but pricey.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Love that The Westin is pet friendly, but no dog NRD or bowls this time. Tight fit on double beds.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They upgraded us for free since it was our anniversary which was so gracious and nice!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds!
Cons: No rooftop access.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: cleanliness frienliness
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Paying for parking.
7.1 Good
Pros: Cleanliness was very good, beds were very comfortable and the shower works great. The staff are all incredibly friendly.
Cons: No minifridge in the rooms was a real pain. Especially since my floor also didn't have an ice machine. I think every other floor is actually missing an ice machine. Parking is also very expansive and the valet wasn't the nicest guy. The breakfast isn't very good either, often it can be cold, although there is usually a lot of selection.

6.8 Good
Pros: Awesome location and good price.
Cons: It's an older building that could use a renovation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel, perfect location, helpful staff, clean comfortable and Starbucks in the lobby.
Cons: My truck wouldn't fit in the parking garage. I had to park off site. This is not the hotels fault. I should have driven my car.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Participation in Green room service - not requiring new linens, towels every day- yields $5 / day food voucher.
Cons: Need to clarify/refine misleading description of Green program . Card for hanging on doorknob says I would not have full housekeeping service. I thought that meant I would not receive fresh linens; would use the entire supply of towels (5) before resupply; and would pick up after myself. In practice, the card means no one will enter my room...a kind of permanent Do Not Disturb. No resupply of coffee. No emptying waste baskets. SOLUTION : Green program should have partial housekeeping . Save us all cost of needless laundering of towels and sheets, etc. but routinely resupply coffee and empty trash.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to everything. We walked to dinner and a blues bar. Great view. Didn't get a chance to go to roof top bar but it looked appealing
4.0 OK
Pros: The friendly service. The Sheraton bed, which is always great.
Cons: Getting trapped in the bathroom because of a maintenance issue and having to break my way out.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Value and location
Cons: Elevators were a bit noises and bathroom was small
9.1 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds, clean rooms, extremely polite staff, just overall a great experience
Cons: Nothing that was the hotels fault. It was a loud weekend because of motorcycles, but other wise it was a great experience.
5.7 OK
Pros: Friendly staff the best staff is Breyona Johnson
Cons: Dirty bathrooms
5.7 OK
Pros: quiet.
Cons: Honestly the bed comforters had stains on it and it was gross. There were no robes in the room, bathroom towels so small and thin, hotel food was not good...
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Our Room with a city view was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. It seems to be a clean facility/property. The location was great in accordance to the venue we were to attend. The Staff was attentive & courteous. I actually wish we could have stayed longer to see some of the cities history and sights.
Cons: The Room was Kind of "Pricey"........ A few minor maintenance issues could soon need tending too...... The windows were sludgy/foggy. I was told during my booking that garage parking was included, but when we arrived, there was a $25 per night parking fee.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean hotel. Rooms were small, and the bed was comfortable. I would recommend a stay here.
4.8 OK
Pros: Rooms were clean and nicely appointed. Convenient location in center of Indy if you need a location to walk from.
Cons: Elevators were extremely noisy, If you are going to stay here, I would suggest a room as far away from the elevators as possible as they ROAR as they pass the floor each time - sound like a jet taking off - there are 4 elevators too...
