Pros: The Godfrey is very Modern, ideally located and the staff is super friendly. ( Except for the manager on duty when I checked in.)
Cons: Booked a two bedroom with a third party site,didn't have that option so I called up the hotel to see if there was an option. Was told to just mark in underspecial request and they would have it for me. When I checked in was given a small King size room and says that's what we booked. Told the manager who talked to us what happened and she says we never made the request. I pulled up the reservation on myphone and showed her the request, then she says its first come first serve basis. Only room left for the night was a $80 upgrade was a four class upgrade to a suite which was much bigger and had two TVs, so I took it, had no other option. Walked into the room and if that was a four class upgrade I would hate to see a regular room. Room was very small, only one TV. Don't get me wrong, hotel was very nice. Big screen TV,nice showers and towels, but felt very very very cheated. Along with the $52 for parking it was like spending $600 a night for a small room.......Really??

Pros: Location was outstanding. The interior of the hotel was impeccable - obviously new. The bed was probably the most luxurious of any hotel bed I have slept in. Bose Bluetooth speaker provided ambiance to the room. Continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise.

Pros: We stayed there 5 days after it opened, the rooms were clean, the lobby was nice, and posh. The beds were very comfortable and the room has Bluetooth Bose speakers as well as smart TVs.
Cons: They offer room service, but it's from the restaurant next door called Back Deck and the food wasn't just sub-par, it was bad. I ordered a burger that was burnt, it says it comes with french fries but it comes with dry, tasteless, potato wedges. We had our room upgraded to an executive suite, and it was still incredibly small. The staff is new and it is very obvious when you check in. They couldn't find where the card keys were or how to activate them which I would expect to be hotel staff 101. For as nice as the hotel is, there's a definitely a lack of professionalism in the lobby staff. And for whoever posted that there's a welcoming bar in the lobby, it hasn't even been opened yet, so....

Cons: First room far to loud (trucks unloading / loading 5 am); second room not so loud, but still noisy. Strange inventory: No hooks to hang coats etc. Only one shelf for shirts in the wardrobe, no other furniture witgh drawers (underware etc.) half of the wardrobe full of ironong board. No hooks to hang bathrobe and bigger towels in the bathroom. small selection at breakfast, every day the same. Loud music allready at breakfast. No bowls for yoghurt and esreal to mix, except small plastic cups. All breakfast cups, spoons etc. plastic (lots of vaste) hardly any tables to eat breakfast (sofas. lounge chairs etc.) Over all feeling like a grown up youth hostel

Pros: The hotel is super clean with without a doubt the most comfortable beds I have ever experienced.it is almost on the freedom trail and so close to the common it is in easy walk of Quincey market and both cheers pubs and all tourist stops are easily assessable by one of the tour bus at bottom of market .worth every penny

Cons: Jeez, the standard rooms are tiny with hard to access closet and no side table on one side of the bed. We were offered a larger room for another $40 and should have taken it!

Pros: Loved everything about staying at the Four Seasons Boston. The service was impeccable and they really made us feel "at home." My kids especially loved the welcome wagon and cookies and milk :) The hotel was clean, warm and inviting and I would absolutely stay there again. Highly recommend!

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at Marriott Custom House during our recent family vacation to Boston. The location is ideal and the villas provided plenty of space for everyone. The observation deck was fun and we went up there several times during our stay. We would definitely return to the Custom House again.

Pros: The location cannot be beat if you want to be close to Quincy Market/North End/Downtown. Also, all the rooms are suites with a spacious living space. This is also a historic building so be sure to browse the museum quality displays throughout the lobby and hallways. Don't miss the observation deck!!

Take out the big dining table, change to a drop leaf and steal 6 feet to expand the bathroom. Btw, if you are a light sleeper, request a high floor.

Cons: The wine list in the restaurant is extremely overpriced and unfortunately I was served a bottle of wine that had not been stored properly and had turned. The bartender didn't agree but had the manager bring me a new bottle. That bottle was better than the first but still not tasting quite right-but we kept it because it was too much of a hassle.

Pros: Regulars at their restaurant, our first stay was all we needed. Handsome, friendly, warm lobby area; helpful, attentive staff. The in-hotel restaurant is actually very good -- and has a great bar area. The staff that delivers items to rooms are very friendly, speedy folk.

The Keurig machine and K-cups in the room. The free daily newspapers in the lobby from four major newspapers. I liked the free late afternoon leomanade in the lobby. The restaurant has some excellent deals buck a shuck oysters from 4:30-:6:30 everyday. The $20 New England Lobster Meal that included; Corn on the cob, seafood chowder, a lobster and more. The restaurant had el fresco dining as well as a wall of windows on North Street right across from Faneuil Hall. The lobby was beautiful and very inviting. They even had a game section on the bookshelves for kids and families. The portico was very unique and mostly sheltered. The staff was very polite and helpful. The view from the rooms with the little balconies was a beautiful touch. The wall of windows in your room was wonderful. The late check out noon, the fact that they would store your bags in a locked room with a video monitor and would tagbyour bags they were holding like you were boarding a plane.
Cons: Just a couple small things would be nice: more towel racks to hang towels in the bathroom and a refrigerator other than a completely full mini bar refrigerator with items for sale.

Pros: Stayed here twice. Both for location. Room rates are pricey but you are in the midst of downtown Boston. The in-house restaurant was serving a $20 lobster dinner special which was fantastic. Valet parking is easy and staff is very courteous. There is an extra charge for valet at $49. Again very pricey but if you are staying for a few days it evens out. The room was a standard king that was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for two. We were provided a mini fridg gratis. The usual outrageously overpriced mini bar is present along with bottled water priced at the level of alcohol. Several newspapers are available free.

Pros: The front staff and manager were extremely accomodating after having a 2 hour tiff with the booking company I used (Get a Room, you were terrible). The room was clean and contemporary which me and my guests enjoyed. For the price, it was reasonable due to the location right next to the commons and for a saturday night in Boston. Wifi was free and they had speakers to hook up an iPad to play music.

Pros: The staff was wonderful, very polite and helpful. The hotel was very clean. The beds were quite comfortable. The room was nicely spacious. It is a lovely hotel conveniently located for the tourist.
Cons: The appointments were a little less than expected considering the expense/level of accommodation. Nothing major. The furniture was sub-par - the drawers didn't close well, the closet door light weight. The phone lines did not work. There was on-going remodeling work to which the trouble with the phones might be attributed however the issue was not resolved within our four night stay.

Some valet people are rude, others are absolute dolls... And the lobby is depressing and sets the vibe for the rest of the hotel... Couldn't control heat, felt like cold air was blowing on us all night.

Cons: The day we were there, while they apologized, there was an elevator out of commission. The wait for the elevator was very long, and it was so crowded when it arrived on our floor that only half our party was able to get on. My husband walked down with the luggage. And, there was a women who went thru at 9:45 and said "everybody out in 10 minutes, everybody needs to check out in 10". That's not quite how I would expect a luxury hotel to get their guests to check out.

Pros: Although small, the room was comfortable and the shower quite lovely. Plenty of hot water in the morning. A blizzard was expected so I decided to check out a day early, and this was hassle free. I did not ask for the name of the person who helped me with the checkout, but she was very polite and extremely helpful. The door man and valet folks were quick to bring my car and wish me a safe journey. Overall a very pleasant stay and I was able to accomplish that which I was in town for.

Cons: The rooms are really small, and look worn and slightly outdated. The walls are thin, so if anyone is in the hallway you can hear them. Price was decent, but felt like for what we paid we should've gotten more-a bigger room, a few more amenities. Also, (and this is for all hotels really) if you provide toiletries, provide toothpaste. That's the one toiletry most people seem to forget most often.

Pros: The price for this area is quite high, yet with the amenities and proximity to nightlife and points of interest there is a degree of value to this location.
Cons: My main complaint is the staff. I found them a tad unprofessional. Upon stepping to the front desk the young ladies at the counter seemed less interested in helping visitors than in carrying on a concerted air of disinterest and conversations among themselves. Additionally 2 surly security guards came to the room at 3am about a noise complaint. Their heavy-handed manner was more suitable for a dive bar than relating to adult guests paying upwards of $500 a night. They were clearly not suited to be the first point contact in regard to guest relation. Based on the last situation I doubt I would stay at this location again. Which is sad given i would have used it for family vacations and business occasions.

Pros: Location was for us was perfect for us as it was just across from Boston and just 1 stop using the subway to Beacon Hill. We had free valet parking which was one of the key decisions to staying there. The area was super quiet and very green.
Cons: Although the room was nice. Personally we found the bed to be a little uncomfortable. The free upgrade which came by my rewards status was a welcome surprise but we were surprised that it was directly behind the elevator shaft. Upgrade..not sure. The staff were pleasant when spoken to but were not very engaged with the patrons. There wasn't a lot of choices nearby for restaurants.

Pros: As above it was in an ideal safe location within easy walking distance or transport plus places of interest as well as parklands to enjoy and take time out.
Cons: I had a single room. The bed was really comfortable and housekeeping staff keep the rooms well aerviced and it is very clean. However, it was a small room with very little room for a large case and I had to keep mine on the floor throughout my 3 day stay. Other than that it was fine but not a room I would want to spend time in during the day as no view due to air conditioner being in the window. However it was quiet at night and easy up sleep. I am gluten free and found very little I could eat from breakfast provided, so would eat breakfast out as more options. I enjoyed my stay and would check in again if ever I was in Bodton in the future. It was value for money and that was important to me. My sincere thanks for a friendly and welcoming and well mannered staff .

Pros: The staff we met were all friendly and helpful. Boston is a very walkable city and the Milner is a well placed starting point for many of the most important attractions.

Pros: Great location and good value. Rooms are quiet and staff is quite helpful. Breakfast is included and quality of the towels, soap, shampoo, etc. is better than in most inexpensive hotels. The rooms are clean and the beds are quite comfortable.

The first time I stayed for one night, I had a tiny, cramped room, but on my second visit for 6 nights, I had a room I would call cozy instead of cramped -- small, but certainly big enough for one person to be comfortable. The space in both rooms could be used more efficiently by adding more shelves in both the rooms and bathrooms, plus replacing desks and dressers with ones that are less deep.

Pros: The location of this hotel is wonderful, as is the antiquity. The rooms are small, but I expect that in cities and I usually gravitate to boutique hotels so I am fine with the size. The valet parking staff was actually the most outstanding of all the staff we encompassed. Outstanding actually. The bed was much more comfortable than I thought it would be.
Cons: It's dirty. I went to plug in a cord and there was a good 1/4 inch of dust along all the base boards. Yuck! The bathroom also was just not clean. Wall paper was peeling up from the wall in a couple of places - seriously have maintenance go around with some glue. There was scaffolding left outside our window on the 5th floor - unsafe and most unattractive not to mention the worker standing on it at 8:00am. The front desk never mentioned it when we checked in, if they had I probably would have asked for a different room. It was also the first time I had to pay for internet in a hotel in Boston. If this room had been half the price I paid I would have the same view point, but wouldn't be so annoyed. I seem to get more annoyed when I think about it.

The staff was very friendly, though, and were accommodating with being under 21 (parent just had to sign and send in a form so we could stay there)

Also no mini-fridge so we could not bring home leftovers for later, not that big of a deal but would have been a nice addition. Bathroom seemed decently sized but shower was quite small (thankfully we are both small or we would have been banging our elbows against the walls). Also, water ended up getting all over the bathroom floor because it had no where to go in the shower.

Also a host of dining options in the neighborhood. Rooms were updated but on the smaller side for the price paid. All the staff was courteous and helpful, including everyone.

Pros: My wife and I stayed for a getaway weekend at the Boston Park Plaza and we had an amazing stay. Arriving into the hotel we were greeted immediately by staff and checkin was quick and effortless. The room was immaculate and the bed was comfortable . Before going out for the night we enjoyed drinks in the hotel bar and the staff was amazing. We would highly recommend this hotel

Pros: The aforementioned header might be a slight exaggeration, as I've yet to stay at all of Boston's hotels, but nevertheless, I came away duly impressed. I suffered a significant injury halfway through my stay in Boston, and the hotel staff was extremely understanding. From a fold-up bed, to wheelchair accommodation, to flagging a cab on my behalf, the folks at the Plaza exemplified the reasons why I've quickly grown fond of Boston.
