Pros: We loved the location as it was right in the middle of the neighborhood in the south end. We felt very safe walking all around in the neighborhood. The B and B was lovely. We stayed in the Bernstein room which was very clean and comfortable. Both the owners were very helpful with suggestions for restaurants. Breakfast choices were lovely including the pastries from Flour Bakery nearby and served in a sunny dining nook. We especially appreciated the offer of storing our luggage for us after checkout so we could explore the neighborhood and go on a food tour. I’d highly recommend staying here.

No real milk available, so couldn’t even get a decent cup of coffee. Also was advised on parking, but place did not seem to exist on gps and police had no idea where it was either. Spent 30 minutes locating an alternate place.

Cons: The "hands-off" approach to lodging services may be the latest thing, but it leaves the guest with a feeling of isolation and coldness. Every detail of my stay was managed electronically and felt totally impersonal. When I needed a little help from the staff I found them huddled in dark basement room surrounded by computer screens--the scene was reminiscent of being on a submarine. I guess I'm just a person who appreciates the attention of a good concierge and attentive, welcoming hotel staff--especially when I'm paying many hundreds of dollars for the service.

Cons: It was written as there was a continental breakfast, but I need to say that I haven't seen such a small continent :) If you don't count coffee, tea and a small piece of bread as a breakfast, there was almost "no breakfast". However, you can go to 7Eleven which is around 30 steps far, and buy something to eat on the next morning as a breakfast. You can leave your luggages after your check-out but don't forget to get the phone number of the staff otherwise as far as your entrance pass will be expired, you cannot reach your luggages on time.

Cons: There was no airconditioning (only a fan) which meant that it got a bit humid in the room. Some of the lights did not work and the doors dragged along the floor making it really hard to open. It was also quite pricey.

Cons: Bathroom floor had hair all over when arriving. My wife open the toilet lid and found a large wad of hair in it. Bathroom had 3 lights and 2 of the bulbs were out. Clock on the wall didn't work, was left with 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 days, bathroom fan didn't work, bathroom door had to be forcibly closed due to bottom of the door hitting the floor, outside table and chairs appeared to have never been wiped down so didn't use, had an iron but no ironing board, and no thermostat to control the temperature in the room.

Microwave, electric stove, pots and pans, cutlery and utensils, kitchen, refrigerator, WiFi, etc. Room was a little small but very cosy! Location was accessible by either Prudential or Back Bay subway stations. Local bus No. 1 depart near Syphomny station (4mins walk from Copley House) bound for Cambridge, where you can visit Harvard University and MIT. Tips for bus travel - if are travelling by interstate bus (i.e. from NYC), South Station is 30mins away by subway+walk (Chinatown to Back Bay station). When going to NYC, I booked OurBus, where they pick up passengers in front of the Sheraton Hotel, 5 mins walk away from Copley House. 7-11 around the corner, and a supermarket is 5 mins walk away. Copley Place shopping mall and Prudential Tower mall are also 5 mins walk away! Linda at the receptionist was kind and provided us with many information!

Cons: The Copley House has a number of apartment buildings in Back Bay and I ended up in a building that was about 15min walk from where I thought I would be, which was very inconvenient as I had booked specifically for the location. It was like being in an Airbnb with hotel prices. It was very noisy and I was woken up every morning by people in the corridor. There were no staff around to provide assistance. I wouldn’t stay here again.
