Pros: "I was recovering from a cold and didn't anticipate having ear problems but during decent I began to experience some pain. It was all new to me as I had never been through this before. Fortunately the crew was kind and they provided a sinus decongestant in a cup for me to sniff and breath in so the smell could open up my nasal passages and it helped a bit."

Best part is, the seat was sky couch or premium economy and she let me use it. If it would be other airlines they would mindlessly refuse it. My crew on the akl to iah leg. Brandon gave the initial intro and seemed to follow the original crews standards. Unfortunately, we had an older flight attendant who seemed less than thrilled to be with us this flight."

The staff were excellent, the food was as good as can be (given that it is airline food), the choices for entertainment were great. Lots of overhead storage!"

Then being made to take 1 point something kilos into another lighter bag. However the staff were very good about it. not their fault that they find themselves having to talk through something that just doesn't ad up. However we enjoyed the flight, and the help we received transferring from a very late plane to one almost waiting in Fiji. :-)"

Now we have added a third airline to our list. My kids are also fussy with the airlines we use. But they really enjoyed their flight with Fiji airways."

Fantastic service all round. Don't forget to use the Premier Lounge in Nadi if you're there for a few hours. FJ$100 for full lounge access. It was an absolute pleasure. Best way to get to the USA from NZ."

Cons: "My Fiji flights between Honolulu and Auckland were cancelled so they rebooked me on Jetstar and New Zealand Airways Apparently the international date line was not taken into account and I arrived in Sydney hours after my connecting flight to Auckland had already left! I talked to 7 different people in all corners of Sydney airport and no one knew what to do with me. My attempts to call Fiji Airways from my cell phone and then a landline at the airport didn't go through so I ended up messaging a friend in the States and she was able to call and get me booked on a NZ Air flight to Auckland that left the next morning. Both Jetstar and NZ Air gave me different information on what paperwork I needed and what my baggage and carry-on allowance was, which was frustrating. I finally arrived in Auckland 26 hours later than scheduled. I understand the cyclone cancelling the Fiji flights but the rescheduling error caused some significant expenses and a great deal of hassle."

Cons: "The quality isn’t there... vegetarian meal was the same on both flights and beyond below par. Planes seem to be pretty past there prime in the 4 flights I have been on. Check in process is a nightmare without any automated options that backs everything up. When I arrived in Los Angeles and found that two zippers had been torn from my bag and one pocket open, the baggage staff scoffed at my claim and told me to go speak to a third party that handles baggage claims... I’ll just steer clear next time."

Cons: "We were in the last row on the plane for some reason that was not explained....Parts of plane fell on our heads..Not enough room to lower the tray table...Wedged into seat like sardines...Entertainment was the sounds of toilets flushing...We paid a fortune for first half of flight from LAX to Nadi that was excellent...The second leg of trip to Auckland was a HUGE NIGHTMARE that won't be forgotten....Shirley and Ron Richard"

Will be asking Fiji for full refund plus compensation for having to buy visas and spend day in Sydney."

Cons: "We flew to Hawaii for a friend's wedding and many of us flew different airlines. You would think that a flight that was 8 hours would include a meal?! Our friends who flew Delta and American all got meals and snacks. Another issue too is that you do get free movies although they don't tell you as your boarding that you would need their App to watch it. So if you didn't download it before take off you have to pay for their internet or their tablet."

Cons: "The passenger in the seat next to mine rented a tablet from United and proceeded to spend the entire night playing games or watching movies -- he never turned it off the entire flight. The glare from the tablet made it impossible for me to sleep or even nap on the flight. I asked the fellow if he would mind dimming the screen but he told me that wasn't possible. If United could put dimmable screens on the tablets it would help create an environment conducive to sleep, which is what most passengers want on a redeye flight. Alternatively, privacy screens would cut down on the shared glare. As it was, the flight was a nightmare."

Cons: "- United's entertainment system was not working again. The system was completely down. The plug-in power was also down. - Boarding was delayed because there were no crew members willing to help passengers figure out how to load the overhead bins."

Cons: "Virtually no food included on an $800 dollar 5 hr flight. I even upgraded economy elite. In the equivalent range Alaskan gives a very nice fo-meal in a box. Finally, I arrived for my flight from San Luis Obispo an hour and 45 minutes early and stood in line to check my small bag for the first 45 minutes. At which point the desk agent made the announcement she would no longer take bags. Luckily my bag was small enough to be considered a carry on so I just went to security. I don't know what people with large bags behind me did? then it takes another 45 mins to get through security at which point they see my 5 inch knife on X-ray machine. Which I packed 3 days earlier when I planned to check my bag. Lost the knife, fine, my fault, goodbye favorite pocket knife. but now I am randomly selected for explosives LOL by TSA. I get to the gate the gate agent scans a ticket for the person infront of me. I step up and the same gate agent puts her hand over the scanner and says sorry it is late!? There were 6 other people behind me and this is a 22 person plane. So I still not upset walk back out of the security area because TSA closes the area in between flights and call United. They get me on the next flight out and rescheduled my following flight only a 3 hour wait. An hour goes by and the first desk agent, they have been holding the first flight because enough people aren't onboard. SLB is a joke."

Even delta and Hawaiian airlines give free meals. Didn't get seat assignment till I got to gate. Not allowed to say if I wanted window or aisle seat."

So I lose an entire day of my trip, and have to cancel the appointments I had scheduled in Denver for today. Plus the expense of having to find food in Honolulu for a day. So...yay united. Once again, you're awesome."

On top of that the seats were very small and uncomfortable. I shouldn't feel a person grabbing a magazine or pulling down a tray when I'm sitting in the seat in front of them. I couldn't consistently watch a show or movie for 3 minutes thanks to the wifi and or app on MY Samsung tablet....it's SO sad that you guys couldn't have them already installed like other airlines. This airline is already in hot water, I expected MUCH better customer service. I will do my best NOT to use them again and tell others to do the same."

Cons: "A parent with 2 yr old was placed in the middle seat where the toddler cried throughout the whole flight. Father had to constantly ask me to get up so he can take the son to the back of the plane to console him. It was an overnight flight from HNL to SFO so i didn't get any rest at all. Maybe parents with toddlers should be seated on aisle seats."

Cons: "Not getting a confirmation email or check-in reminder. No working wifi or power docks on plane (marketed as having in-seat entertainment). Moved to the back of the plane with no recline and destroying my back after telling them I need at least minimal recline. Out of most food options upon being served last and given a soggy undressed chicken wrap for 12.00. Finally, the gate dock was not able to connect with the plane upon arrival yeilding a 30 minute delay at the gate. Unapologetic crew simply ready to turn onto the next flight. This is why I don't fly united."

Cons: "Not only did we sit on the plan for almost two hours before they realized that the plane didn't have enough gas we sat there for a another 30 minutes circling the dam flight line only to realize that there is to much cargo in the plane that it's to heavy to fly they didn't let anyone use the bathroom and we proceeded back to the terminal only to get on a different plane to fly out"

Cons: "RIDICULOUS baggage fees. Because I booked through Kayak I never received a confirmation from the airline. When we went to check In at the airport I was informed I would have to pay $160 PER BAG and $35 PER KILO over 15kg. The agent informed me that I needed to pay baggage fees based on weight at the time I booked. How in the hell am I supposed to know 2 months in advance how much my luggage weighs? The baggage fees were 4 times the price of the ticket! And then they weigh your carry on to try to collect even more fees if the total weight of your carry on exceeds 7kg. No food or water on board and VERY rude head flight attendant. NEVER AGAIN and I will think twice about booking through Kayak given I was never informed of these fees in advance."

Pros: "I honestly can't think of a single thing I liked about this flight, but if pressed, perhaps I enjoyed the staff in Honolulu during check in. The rest was horrible. Hated it all."
Cons: "Absolutely horrible. This airline is truly the Greyhound of the sky. There was an absurd amount of families on this flight with really young screaming, ill-behaved children and their indifferent parents. The flight attendants were equally indifferent and unhelpful. You get absolutely nothing for free - everything cost - food, blankets, pillows, etc. on this 10 hour flight. AND when water was requested, it was a small, mouthwash size cup with a note, that "we charge for water." $4. Wow. Probably one of the worst experiences in the air ever. I won't be back. The price was stellar, but after paying for seats, luggage and enduring the people on the flight, I'd prefer to pay more and get A LOT MORE from an airline like Virgin Australia. If you're cutting corners and trying to save money, save yourself and your sanity and spend a little more on quality airline."

Cons: "We had to be bussed from the terminal to our flight in both Auckland and Sydney which made the flight delayed and thus me having to run for my connecting flight. Naturally my bags didn't make it past Sydney. There was no in flight breakfast or complimentary snacks nor was there any TVs for the 3 hour flight. Overall, not the best experience."

Cons: "When we purchasing tickets through Kayak we were not informed that we would have to pay $25 per kilogram on our checked bags. These bags are normally roller wheel carry-ons, but we were not allowed to carry them on. The cost was $640! We were told only when we got to the counter (there are no electronic tickets or electronic check in.) we received a 'discount' and had to pay $360. The jet star agent admitted that she gets multiple complaints DAILY about these fees. Jet Star scams its customers. The reviews are poor precisely because of this. Avoid this airline."

Cons: "Spent almost 200 dollars for baggage and seating. They lost my luggage and it took 3 days to get it back, finally. On my flight back they messed up my seat. I booked an aisle seat and got something right in the middle. When I told them I payed for seating they told me that you can pay for it but they still don't guarantee that you get the seat. Why exactly do I spent money on seating then? I'll never fly jetstar again."

Cons: "We were charged $100 per bag and $50 per Kg over the weight limit. Baggage fees were not clearly listed when booking this flight. We found out about the cost when we were checking in to board. Jetstar should state up front in the flight cost area about their baggage fees, not hidden in the fine print. A side note, everything on the flight cost extra; water, Wi-Fi, etc. Once the added fees are calculated into the cost, Jetstar is not cheaper than the other airlines."

Pros: "Easy boarding in Queenstown and the flight staff was friendly and helpfull."
Cons: "Thier bag fees are outragous. It was extreemly difficult to find thier allowances online and we ended up paying more than our ticket price to check our bags. If it was more clear what the fees are, we would not have chosen Jetstar. I would recomend going with New Zealand Air over Jetstar hands down."

Cons: "When I ordered the flight the process never gave me a chance to pay for bags like it did from Auckland to Christchurch. However, on the return flight when I went to check the bags in they said I would have to pay $210 for 2 bags. Thanks jetsatr and kayak for not having a good process to order a head of time. Won't use either again unless someone reads this and gives me a refund."

A fellow passenger warned us that Jet Star does not even supply passengers with drinking water so I filled a bottle from one of the fountains. We discovered that Jet Star charges for every kilo of checked luggage unlike any other time I have made this flight with different airlines. I would advise anyone to think twice about using this airlines for any flights longer than 4 hours because your going to be pretty hungry and thirsty unless you want to pay $4 for 6 ounces of water. Make sure you have all the baggage costs figured into your ticket charge when you purchase a ticket from these cheapskates and make sure you carry on what you need to drink and eat. The food looked terrible."

You would be doing your clients a big favor to include mention of this strange practice of not including luggage fees by Jetstar..and warn them that these fees could bring the total cost of their airfare to over $500 for a 100 minute domestic flight for 2 travelers. My husband said next time we're going through a travel agent. Sorry"

I could have bought another ticket just for my bag and put it in the seat beside me for less. How does an airline justify this???"

When we booked our domestic travel tickets in New Zealand online, the flight prices were reasonable, but we were not prompted to pay baggage fees, and could not determine a way to pay for checked luggage at the time. Imagine our surprise when we were charged $350 for two checked bags! On a different Jetstar flight, we missed the flight because two inexperienced customer service reps took so long to figure out how to check in our bags, but we were rescheduled on another flight so we had to pay rebooking fee-- but no charge for the luggage! Not the best of experiences for international travelers. Probably works better for quick trips with a small carry-on on a domestic basis."

Cons: "They're baggage system is a bit confusing if you don't take the time to read it, and even then can be confusing. Basically, pay for a checked bag by weight before getting to airport and be aware of their low carry on weight limit."

Cons: "In flight menu listed 2 different kid packs on the menu, but if you bought both, it was a combo that discounted the price. But their electronic charging device wouldn't allow them to charge us for the combo price and they would only charge the items at their regular separate price. Jetstar would not honor the advertised deal on the menu. And the flight left 4 hour later than the scheduled departure."

And after my already 30 hours of travel I was pretty irritated. There was no free entertainment, which I think is pretty cheap of Jetstar for a flight of that length. The flight was also delayed for two and a half hours and we were never actually given a reason. I also believe that the bag charges are pretty outrageous. The expectation of zero kilograms is extremely unreasonable."

They put us on another flight scheduled for 1.30pm which finally departed at 2.30pm. Will not consider flying Jetstar again for an international flight."

Cons: "I booked an international flight between Syndey, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand on Jetstar. About a two weeks prior to our trip I received an email that, among other things, asked if I needed to Pay for "extra baggage". Naive me! I assumed that on an international flight that one bag was at no charge. But NO! When I got to the counter to check in for the flight I was told that since I hadn't paid for our one bag per person prior to now, that they would be charging us $100 US per bag. If we had purchased it prior to checking in the cost would have been $20 per bag. After paying $200 for our two bags I felt totally taken advantage of. Beware. "Extra Baggage" means ANY baggage!"

Pros: "Crew was lovely, all were very polite and nice. Entertainment system was a plus- I wasn't aware there was even going to be one! Look, you get what you pay for. On that basis, I was pretty happy with the flight. Gate agents were fantastic. Really, really good. Follow the rules, pay for your baggage and you'll be fine."
