Cons: Insufficient space for the ladies to hang their clothes. I need to fold my dress or long jacket before hanging it. I think the safe, iron, iron board etc. should be moved out of the closet area.

Cons: One thing that would have perfected the stay would have been the offer of a meal and/or discounted meal during the typhoon, as no shops were open and it was not safe to go out anyway. Also, the room refrigerators could be made a little cooler so the drinks are at their best.

It's within walking distance of Tokyo station (bullet train for Kyoto, Hirohshima, Osaka) and within walking distance of the Tokyo subway (Shibuya approximately 20 minutes). Despite being in busy Ginza, the street noise is non-existent.

Cons: Not much. There is no gym/pool at the hotel and the breakfast area is slightly small. However, we never had to queue for breakfast and never felt rushed.

Pros: Room was perfect knowing room sizes in major cities are smaller, the amenities are all that we need plus more (luffa scrub) they provide for bath. The toilet seat (washlet) was perfect for hotels, every function you can think of is there and easy to understand with English translation or graphics for ease of use. Pros: Room was perfect knowing room sizes in major cities are smaller, the amenities are all that we need plus more (luffa scrub) they provide for bath. The toilet seat (washlet) was perfect for hotels, every function you can think of is there and easy to understand with English translation or graphics for ease of use. I understand the firmness of the bed, some people prefer a firm bed.
Cons: Frustratingly the pillows are half empty and wasn't comfortable given the price of the hotel.There is only one English channel CNN, the rest are pay per view channels.

Cons: Breakfast was very tasty, but they do rush you at the end of service as they don't like you to stay beyond the last serving time. This was a shame as the rest of the stay was excellent. Also the service at the bar in the evening was very frosty and we weren't made to feel that welcome, also extremely expensive!

Pros: - great location, in front of palace, close to station, view on marunouchi - staff are probably the best in the world... its really a special service, the room cleaning is from other world, repair ur clothes, come at your call, do 2nd service at night, put orgiami paper for you for decoration. - Hotel lobby, live classical music or other mysic with instruments... you never saw that in other hotels. - pool is amazing, nice view... be careful its slippery - bed is super soft, cozy - all the room is automatic, on table board at your command - the room has a nice couch, which i actually used to watch TV, cuz it was super comfy, not these decorative couches - you also have a separate room for you clothes. hey this hotel is the best in the world, and not so crazy price considering.

It was large, clean and the bed was perfect. I think the one thing that stood out was the service. I mostly felt with the front desk manager Tetsuro Nakamura. Everyone at the hotel seemed to really appreciate their job and enjoy helping their guests.

Location close to all the amazing shops in Ginza. On the first floor is a great little informal restaurant, tasty Italian infused food.
Cons: Foyer of the hotel is not on the ground level. There could have been much bigger signage as we found it confusing working out where to enter the hotel, we were pretty tired after a long day on the Shinkansen.

Cons: I booked a king double room but when I got there after midnight, I was given a very small Queen room with no closets . I then complained and was asked to spend the night in a triple room with a promise of the correct room the next day. This did not happen, however the triple room was quite a large room and they compromised by removing the extra bed and adding some lounge chairs The breakfast was good but not too many options for not Japanese occupants. Only scrambled eggs on offer which becomes tiring for 10 days.The service was very good though

Pros: The location was just perfect. Close to everywhere that mattered and easily accessible. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful

Pros: Only the fact that we had Japan Hato tours that did a pickup from this hotel location and there were a few folks at the information center that were nice and very helpful

1. Shower curtain was dirty and had hair on it from god know how many previous travelers!! I asked the manager to change it and they did not execute it well, they forgot! When I asked again they replaced it but only this time they put the shower curtain inside out...Japanese attitude is supposed to be all clean and perfect and this was definitely not it!
2. We were offered free breakfast due to the shower curtain situation which was a nice gesture, but honestly the breakfast was not so great
3. The room was really really small and the 3rd bed that we got was broken..
We paid like $250 a night or so and this was so not worth anything penny, will not recommend it anyone.

Pros: The staff was magnificent, they helped us become acquainted with Japanese expectations and drew maps for us for every place where we had appointments. Since we had jet lag those first days this was crucial. They even recommended several excellent restaurants. They also kept luggage for us while we travelled to other cities, since we were returning before our flight. The room, while a bit overly warm, had ac we could control. The bath comfortable and amply stocked. Location in Ginza is perfect, not on one of the busiest streets, but nearby. Atmosphere a bit 1920s. Breakfast lovely, lots of choices, although Ginza area serves better coffee outside of hotel in many places.

Pros: I like the fact that there is enough room to open a suit case and still have room to walk around it!!! Most small to medium size hotels in Tokyo are so small that you can only go to bath and sleep. Ginza Monterey offered a little more room so you can work on your computer and feel comfortable.

Cons: The first room we had was a queen bed. It was ample, but pushed against the wall, which made it difficult for one of us to get out. We stayed both on arrival and leaving, so got an upgrade ( for free!) to a twin bedded room on the second stay, and that was much easier to sleep soundly.

Cons: The air-conditioning in our room did not work very well. We found it unreliable. There were strong drafts of air in the room from the aircon vents and these made it uncomfortable to sleep. The controls could not be properly adjusted by us in our room and we had to rely on hotel staff making any adjustments to the system like temperature. Room was also quite small.

The rooms are contemporary and comfortable. On my next trip to Tokyo, I will stay here, particularly if I am taking a train to other destinations in Japan.
