The hostel offers events, like local pub tours or meet ups, which is a good way to meet locals and other travellers and learn about Japanese culture.
Cons: The only thing that I can think of would be more shelves, hooks and hangers in the rooms, because they are rather small and this would help to cope with limited space.

9.6
Pros: One of the best cost-benefit options I've had in Japan, so I visited it again after years traveling in the country. It's a very good capsule hostel in a central location with decent breakfast. Nice staff and access to almost everything you should visit in Tokyo. Plus direct subway/train to Narita airport. Prices are fare and worth the value. Will be back soon.

9.0
Pros: This property is situated 3 -5 minutes away from the Higash-Nihombashi / Bakurocho metro station by walking. Direct trains to/from Shinjuku / Haneda Airport / Narita Airport are available which makes the overall trip less hassle. A middle size supermarket is in 5 mins walk. Two 24/7 convenience stores are just right at the corner. The neighbor was really quiet after rush hours which guarantees good sleeping quality. Living-wise here is indeed a superb option within the city. Breakfast was incredible! Although everyday was the same, they offered various foods and made it like a buffet. Drink refill is available should you want more than one cup. The space in the property is nicely organized. It offers enough shower rooms and bathrooms into each floors. The public space is well equipped for preparing instant food. Regarding tourist info, a lot can be found near the front desk. We were in the family room with 2 top down bunk beds and a private toilet (no shower). The room is not big and can be overwhelmed given that members all bring 25 inches or bigger suitcases.

Cons: One remark for this property was the elevator. There was only one elevator sending people up and down. Sometimes it could take 5 minutes to even get down from 2nd floor to the ground. Preferably the existing stair can be opened during rush hour as to offer a more efficient vertical transportation. The other remark was about the public space. It’s pack during rush hours provided that the space / table available is much less than people they can accommodate. A valid suggestion for breakfast would be to plan it earlier than usual to avoid crowd.

Pros: The breakfast was absolutely wonderful especially being an all you can eat buffet. Kind staff and a very clean place with lovely bathrooms etc.
Cons: The little bed cubby’s got way too hot and didn’t appear to have good ventilation. Wouldn’t sleep with covers on even though it was the middle of winter when we stayed.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff and facilities are nice
Cons: The room was crowded and the guest were loud and rowdy, one of them even started vaping in the room, I had an unpleasant night

Pros: The environment was nice and clean. There was a chain near the bed to keep your luggage from going anywhere. The bed was a good size. Pros: the arrangements of the beds is the same as capsule hotels, therefore you aren't staying in bunk beds but purposefully built slots/holes. this allows for a lot of privacy and it's impossible for the light of other beds to get into your eyes. the only difference is that you aren't in capsules per se, but rather concrete blocks. the temperature isn't regulated as with capsules, but I found that to be no problem whatsoever. the air con is comfortable enough. the enclosure is a lot more spacious than capsules, and you can store your rucksack inside it, as well as your clothes inside small wardrobes within your enclosure, both of which aren't possible with capsules. the noise isolation is on par with capsules, neither better nor worse. in my particular stay my fellow guests were very silent both before their sleep and in their sleep. that was awesome.

Pros: I loved the goemon bath upstairs and that you could secure your suitcase right outside your capsule for easy access if you needed something. Also the kitchen space was really good.
Cons: Was sometimes a bit noisy in the capsules especially if guests were packing their suitcases outside.

Pros: The environment was nice and clean. There was a chain near the bed to keep your luggage from going anywhere. The bed was a good size. There was a cabinet that locked with a key which was useful for storing things of importance or clothes for the next day. The neighborhood was quiet and it's a good walking distance to both stations and Sensou-ji.
Cons: Staying in the top capsule was a pain if I forgot something or was tired. The walkways were a bit narrow so it was tough packing without being in someone's way. There were a pair of holes in the wall of my capsule; it didn't lead anywhere, but it was strange.
6.0 Good
Pros: The price was fair, and the location was great.
Cons: I asked the hostel for two bunk beds AWAY from the bathrooms, and the hostel agreed. Then, my upper and lower bunk beds were right next to the bathrooms. WTH, I thought. Well, anyway, we stayed for only one night, and no need to make a fuss about it.

Pros: The location is near the subway station and several places to grab a quick bite. Really beads are comfortable, but you need to make the bed yourself (I think this this a Japanese custom, since the same applies to the other hostels I stayed at in Japan). The staff were all helpful and friendly.

Pros: The location is excellent - close to a railway station and to shops for groceries. The common eating area is well equipped for self-catering, and during our stay was clean and most of the other guests cleaned up after themselves (but there is always one, isn't there?). We met some interesting people there during our breakfast and dinners. The people at reception were helpful and friendly. There's vending machines in the lobby for drinks including beer at close to supermarket prices, though an excellent mini-mart is literally within 50 m of the front door. Wi-fi was excellent in our room. Coin operated washing machines and dryer available, 200 yen for wash, 100 yen for 30 min of drying. We had a small bar fridge.

Pros: 5 mins walk to the nearest subway station. The kitchen was well-equipped and the gentleman who greeted at night was so helpful and responsive.
Cons: Actually none.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, the place looks great. Slept in bunks with privacy curtains, would recommend bringing earplugs tho if you are a light sleeper.
Cons:
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The location is near the subway station and several places to grab a quick bite. Really beads are comfortable, but you need to make the bed yourself (I think this this a Japanese custom, since the same applies to the other hostels I stayed at in Japan). The staff were all helpful and friendly.
Cons:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, value for money, helpful staff, spacious kitchen and shared area, free locker room, bed with curtain and big space inside the bedroom, clean toilet and bathroom
Cons:

Pros: the bed was great compared to very hard beds in other hostels in japan
Cons: the bathroomdoor was not working..

Pros: The staff was very friendly. Many attractions are walking distance! Everything was good!
Cons:
9.0 Excellent
Cons: Our room was quite small, but I believe typical of Japan - don't have big bags or cases!

Pros: Overall a comfortable stay for the price you pay. The location is next to Sensoji Temple and a popular shopping street, so you can easily spent a couple hours just walking around the area or the train station is only within 15 minutes walking distance. Bathroom was overall clean. The lounge area was large and had a unique style. The beds had a curtain but also a wooden board that you can close and lock. Right outside the beds is an area to lock your luggage (locks provided).

Pros:
Cons: This hostel is in a good location, not far from the metro line and the buddhist temple. In the hostel you can find a clean and equipped kitchen with a nice common area, but sometimes people sleep there in the morning... In the whole hostel is very high temperature, 27-29 degrees in the common area and roughly he same in the dorm, that was extreme as it was impossible to sleep. I asked the staff to adjust it, but the just didn't. As well few people came from their night adventures early in the morning waking up the whole 20 bed dorm. The cleanliness of the toilets and showers was quite OK, but can be much better too.. I wouldn't stay here again.

Cons: It didn’t feel as clean as it looked. It didn’t smell bad, but there was some sort of smell within the beds. I was extremely itchy sleeping with shorts during the days I stayed there. It looked like some kind of bites, but it wasn’t too serious and I didn’t physically see anything so I might just be allergic to the material there. There was also some hair strands in the bathroom basket the first day that I was there, but it was clean for the rest of my stay.

Pros: All the staff is amazing. The hostel is super tidy and worth the price. Also, the beds are kinda comfortable and with privacy.
Cons: Even though there is a Seven Eleven right at the corner, I think the location is not that good for those who like to stay up until late. There are not good bars around and Nippori station at night is very shady with not-so-good bars and restaurants. So if you want to have some beers until late at night you have to go to some other area and prepare yourself to wait for the subway to reopen.

Pros: Located about a 20-minute walk from central Akibahara. I liked its canal-side location and it was a good place to chat with other travelers. Staff went out of their way to help me make an arrangement, which was appreciated. The dorm room was fairly clean and very quiet, which I appreciated.

Cons: I am of the opinion that a hostel should provide its guests with a towel to use without any additional fee, but I guess 100 yen wasn't too much to pay to rent a towel for a day.

Pros: This is a hotel/hostel facilities. Your room is being cleaned every day, new yukata and small towel is provided every day (unless you request to not clean your room). Reception is 24 hours on and the stuff is very friendly and speaks very good English. The bathrooms are shared, shampoo & soap is provided and hair dryer is available. Big bonus is included breakfast - simle though (coffee/tea/many other soft drinks/toast & butter/jam/etc.) but comfortable. You could ask for scrumbled eggs for 160 Yens or something else. Good location (5 min. to Jimbocho metro station and 13 min. to Ochanomizu JR station), simple but very nice and affordable.

The guest house was closed to a JR station (3 mins walk) and the Tokyo (11 mins walk). A seven eleven is 3 mins walk with many restaurants available (especially around the Metro station). The facilities was really clean n it honestly gave us the feeling of home. This is a gem especially with the high prices of lodging for Tokyo. We were also allowed to use their kitchen, which was a convenience since i like to have my coffee to get my day going. So don't walk, run and book this place, you won't regret it.

Pros: Really spotless. The bathrooms and toilets were A class. Beds were also pretty comfortable altho the top bunks were not easy to get into.
Cons: The family room we stayed in was crammed but that didn’t matter much as we were mostly away from the hostel. Just be prepared for not much room for your stuff and to manoeuvre if you’re all in the space at the same time. For breakfast, it would have been good if there was a vegan option (no milk, cheese, eggs).

Pros: A fairly social joint considering you’re in japland!
Cons: Breakfast should be optional for 100¥.. that would be cheap enough to be basically free, and keep you from not feeling like you’ve lost out if you just wanna sleep-in. Or make an optional upgrade for 200-300¥ to include something western like a yogurt with mueslini

Pros: Great staff and quick response. I left an item at the hotel bathroom so I emailed them after I left the hotel. They responded quickly and I was able to pick up the item when I returned to Tokyo a few days later.
Cons:
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The bathroom is very good
Cons:
7.0 Good
Pros: I love the theme of this hostel. I also like the bathroom so much, it was clean.
Cons: No canteen or area was occupied for eating. less light in the night is not my preferred.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: There are blinds to each bed, so there's some privacy despite being in a hostel. The toilets and bathroom are bright and clean. Lots of convenience stores and a supermarket nearby. Low price.
Cons: The lounge is too small. Not many dining options nearby especially at night (but can head to the convenience stores). The lockers are quite small (just for backpacks and is located near the entrance door). Best to bring a padlock to lock your luggage.
6.7 Good
Pros: The facilities were very good, the staff really lovely.
Cons: Some people on our dorm were a bit noisy during the night and also had loud alarms that they wouldn't wake up to. This is quite out of the control of the staff, perhaps a little more focus on being quiet in the dorms.

Pros: Location is good and the kitchen got everything u need
Cons:
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location was convenient and close to main attractions and shopping area.
Cons: Room is small, cramped and tatami floor mat is dirty. No windows so air in room is stale and musty. No hooks in toilet and bathroom to hang clothes. Mattresses were also dirty.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very good location. Staffs are friendly. Easy to access.
Cons: The room is a bit out-dated. The bathroom smells. The bed is a bit small for 2 person.
7.9 Good
Pros: Accommodation is an ensuite room. Is convenient. Location near shopping areas and MRT.
Cons: The equipment in the room is quite old, like a bed.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was very close to the bus stop to haneda airport
Cons: Room deco felt odd and room was outdated. I was afraid of falling off from the bed while sleeping at night. No windows. Ceiling was a little low. Felt a bit clautrophobic. Room was not as big as i thought it would be. Shower area was roomy. Need to rent towels. No cleaning service provided during our 3 night stay. Breakfast was just bread, instant coffee and tea
6.7 Good
Pros: Luggage storage, location, staff, windows had blinds
Cons: How old and run-down the walls were. Not the best price
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had the family room with our own bath. We enjoyed our first experience sleeping on the mats! The staff was extremely helpful!
Cons:
5.0 Okay
Pros: Great location. Quick walk to sensoji.
Cons: Beds are tiny compared to other hostel with bunk beds. Rented a private 5 bunk bed room with a private shower. The toilet smells like sewage water and pee. Main purpose of renting this room was to have a private washroom. However, we ended up using the public shower on the same floor because ours was so smelly. Bad ventilation in room and dusty. Entire facility needs to be renovated.
