Sydney hotels near Darling Harbour

Pros: Lovely lady that checked us in. Great room, great location

Pros: We had originally rented an apartment in Sydney. However, due to construction at night, we had to relocate. We found a great rate at the Raddisson Blu and booked it. We enjoyed the last few nights of our vacation in a beautiful and comfortable room. The hotel staff was very helpful and the hotel was spotless. We would definitely stay there again!

Pros: Friendly staff, proximity to Wynyard station for train service to/from the airport.

Cons: 3pm checkin. From airport to hotel arrival time 10am. We were told our room would be a priority clean, however, we did not receive any notification that room was ready, forcing us to walk the streets until 3pm. Priority service is not effective unless a courtesy call is made to let you know room is ready to occupy.

Pros: Stylish, clean and comfortable.

Pros: The location was perfect for us. We were able to walk to all of the places we wanted to go from the hotel. Staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and clean.

Cons: Breakfast prices were way too high. I paid $158 U.S. dollars and the breakfast prices were $18 to $26 US dollars. Overall I enjoyed my stay as the room was clean, quiet and comfortable.

Cons: the street was oneway it was hard to get to I was lost every time,it was very high price to park a car $50.00 a day no free breakfast.

Cons: We went to Buffet dinner . Service was good . Oysters were excellent . Baked salmon was perfect . Carved beef was excellent . Other dishes were average .

Pros: very neat and fairly large rooms. the park view is beautiful.

Cons: initially we were in a 'park view' room which did not face the park at all. you have to crane your neck out of the window to see the park. this should not be sold as park view. staff were happy to move us to a front facing room with beautiful view.

Cons: I booked a hotel as a wedding gift for my friend who just got married I am very disappointed and its not what I am expecting to happen as a special mini honeymoon for them.They went to their room and someone inside snoring while sleeping.They gave us a darling harbour room same price as my original booking of luxury corner worth $585 they are telling us they upgraded tha room but it is the same price what I originally paid for. When my friend arrived to the new room the room is originally booked for someones name I called the hotel if possible while the couple is out pls make a simple greeting under there name And the hotel staff told me “my colleague is preparing a little something or simple greeting for them.” I am happy atleast in that way they make it a bit special after all the inconvenience I called my friend today and told me they did not do any simple greetings under there name. Staff here are not detailed oriented,unorganised and a liar.

Pros: I loved the corner room and the views. Loved the bed (not so much the pillows - they were too soft).

Cons: First stay was fantastic. Staff weren’t so helpful this time. I had an elderly lady with us, no one offered to help with bags. I needed to collect a wheelchair inside and were told by the porters to go to the desk inside. Also no help taking bags to room. A little disappointing for the price. .

Cons: I thought hotel with 5 stars could be so so good, but the room not big enough for that price. And also the hotel doesn’t even have bathup. Even i tried hotel with 4 stars and more cheap, they do.

Pros: Location was great, room was clean and easy to navigate hotel to find facilities. Within walking distance to circular quay, we stayed here when travelling on a cruise the next day and it was no problem to get to the ship terminal at all.

Cons: What I presume was a manager was soooooooooo rude to a trainee in front of us. He was a complete jerk and it was so unnecessary, she was learning and deserved to be treated with patience and respect. I'm 90% sure he thought we couldn't hear him but what a horrible person. The trainees were all lovely and trying their best.

Cons: They couldn’t find our reservation. It took 25 minutes to check in. Not if the fault was with the hotel or booking.com. The couch was very stained. Otherwise the room was clean

Pros: Beautiful hotel and location was great.We easily walked around to sight see and catch Hop On Hop Off Bus. They had car to take us to cruise port but wanted $30 for short distance so took taxi for $9. It was all about trying to charge more for everything

Cons: No answer to email about shuttle.Received email upgrade offer so agreed to pay extra early checkin.We arrived about 830a said no rooms ready but for more $ could give us room.But 15 airline employees arrived 10a and given rooms.1130a before given room.

Pros: The location is excellent. Located next door to major train station and easy access to both harbors. Staff was responsive. Breakfast buffet was decent with a good variety.

Cons: Staff was responsive but no more than absolutely necessary. I suspect it was a Five star at one time but not sure it is now. Otherwise a pleasant visit.

Pros: The location was great! It was close to a small grocery store and public transportation. We were able to easily walk to the Opera House and many other points of interest.

Pros: Superb breakfast buffet: incredibly tasty, amazing variety, plentiful enough to fuel us for a full afternoon of sightseeing. Excellent location; comfortable, quiet room; friendly and helpful staff; self-serve laundry onsite; great value.

Cons: Yes there was a mixup in my two nights accommodation and on the second night the rate I was charged was almost double the previous night. So not happy.

Pros: The Grace Hotel is centrally located within walking distance of all the Sydney attractions. I was not disappointed as I only had three days in Sydney before returning to US. At end of day, the staff and hotel are a welcome respite after a day of touring

Cons: The king bed had a firm bar in the middle of the bed. Not a problem if you sleep on either side though. I wish they let you stay on the WiFi the entire day of departure, I came back later to get my bags, but no WiFi to figure out how to get to the airport

Pros: Well located hotel in CBD. We had a weekend in Sydney, having arrived straight from London Heathrow and we were able to check-in straight away at 8am, which was great. It was an easy walk to the shopping area, Darling Harbour, and Harbour Bridge/Botanic Gardens, so we didn't make use of the metro but there was a stop a few moments walk away. Loved the Art Deco design and feel. Rooms were good sized with all the amenities you'd require for a short stay.

Pros: Great location, historical building in the city center, spacious room, very clean, friendly staff

Pros: Location was great for walking in any direction around the city. Staff was always helpful, patient and pleasant.

Cons: The pool was attractive but not the most functional.
