Pros: The staff were very polite and happy to please
Cons: We got a room with a balcony and paid well for it only to find that the view was directly impacted by construction. We were looking directly at a crane. I feel this information should have been disclosed up front. Also the rooms looked tired. The breakfast was nothing special. Omelette was under cooked the capaccuino was late.ce but not worth the money apent

6.0 Good
Pros: Proximity to all Sydney sites
Cons: The deluxe king room was a let down . It did not look anything like the adverts and there quite a few weird things like no mood lighting even though there were lamps it was a master switch for all lights. The bedside table was not properly fitted and wobbled. The breakfast venue outside seating was constantly under siege by seagulls swooping on to the tables and taking food. The waiting staff were slow to set tables, bring water, restock plates etc. The in room dining wait was in excess of 1 hour for fish and chips at midnight. The bathroom towels allocation was 1 per person and the staff at reception were disinterested in following up on requests. The minbar was not restocked with snacks in 3 nights we were there.

Pros: Interesting design. Chromecast in room good idea. Bathroom was nice. Upgraded suite was nice.
Cons: Our room on floor 7 was situated adjacent to a rooftop bar/nightclub that played incredibly loud music from check in time until 11pm at night. Windows were vibrating. Approached front desk multiple times. Found response from front desk to be unhelpful and insincere (e.g are you going to sleep this minute? it will stop later.). Breakfast bar felt a bit over priced ($30pp) for the fairly minimal options (fruit, muffins, oats, yoghurt).

Pros: Location was good and set up was good with some history and heritage associated with the site. Parking was convenient and useful as it was covered for the full day after check out if you wanted to shop.
Cons: When we stayed there the streets were blocked for an event and so alighting to check in was difficult and you had to go around the block to the car park which was very frustrating and time consuming with street blocked off. We were not aware of the street issue prior to being nearby. The Hotel could have advised a warning to expect some delays.

Pros: I have stayed in this hotel on several occasions. Nice big rooms and very comfy beds! Secure valet parking. This hotel is well positioned in CBD and is not noisy. You can ask for a quiet room. Friendly staff at reception desk and good room service.
Cons: As I have stayed here before I was very surprised at the curt and somewhat rude response from the young and inexperienced concierge today. This young man needs to learn some manners and how to respond to customers. I had asked for some assistance with regards to the carpark voucher which the front desk had forgetten to give me and instead of politely directing me back to the front desk I was told in no uncertain terms that he could not provide me with the document I needed. He was almost incensed that I had asked. As many hotels have their concierges deal with cars I did not think my request was beyond his role. I trust this young man learns that customer service is the nature of the hospitality industry. This is not the usual caliber of staff at this hotel.
5.0 Okay
Pros: It was an ok hotel but not worth $--- per night that I was forced to pay
Cons: Yes there was a mixup in my two nights accommodation and on the second night the rate I was charged was almost double the previous night. So not happy.

Pros: Great location, nice room with a good shower, free WiFi
Cons: The king bed had a firm bar in the middle of the bed. Not a problem if you sleep on either side though. I wish they let you stay on the WiFi the entire day of departure, I came back later to get my bags, but no WiFi to figure out how to get to the airport

Pros: Location, location, location! Literally steps away from Circular Quay. We spent a bit extra for a view of the opera house, and it didn't disappoint. Room was comfortable, but the view and location are really what "sell" this hotel.
Cons: Breakfast buffet had a large selection, but was quite pricey. No "on property" options to just grab a pastry and coffee in the morning, but plenty of cafes nearby.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: We used booking.com to reserve our room. When we got there the room was not available. Our first room had a king bed only not big enough for four people 2 adults and 2 kids 12 and 14. They gave us a roll away bed to help with sleeping arrangements. very uncomfortable. They weren't helpful at all.
Cons: Size of the room. If you are reserving a room through a site like booking.com make sure you ring the hotel to confirm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendliness of the staff!
Cons: A little outdated for the rooms

Cons: Had to wait a bit for our daughters bed to be delivered, and not the best thing considering we had a 7pm incoming flight, and we were tired, but all in all they were pretty good when they recovered.
9.7 Excellent
Pros:
Cons: The 'king size bed' was two twins joined (very common outside of USA but not acceptable at this level property). Furthermore the bed was on wheels. Similarly in the club lounge the chairs are either too low or just not comfortable -- a big disappointment for such a stunning setting. Staff however were top notch. A+++

Pros: On my opinion 3 and half stars maximum
Cons: Firstly the room was shockingly disappointing.. The view in front of the window was of a building in construction nothing else! It was my birthday celebration with my new girlfriend and I choose Intercontinental rather than Sofitel and I regret it ! We entered the room and we open the door and we see the view through the window and we both stay speechless! I went downstairs and asked if they could have move us to another room with a better view! I actually requested when I booked the room but look like no one is paying attention to details! They have denied to speak with management as they were not available. The concierge went inside a room office and he came back and told me that the duty manager was busy and that because of high occupancy there were not other rooms available. The assistant front manager was the one that they suggested me to speak with and they even told me to wait again in a queue after the check in took more than 25 minutes as it was busy because of schoolies! I waited again to speak with the assistant front desk manager and after I explained he moved us to another room with city view at least and that took all up since we check in 1 hour till 5:30 pm from 4:30 pm!! Insane! We also booked the seafood buffet dinner at the first section from 5:30pm till 7:30 pm as we didn’t have lunch so we intended to rest a bit and have a nice dinner to celebrate my birthday!! Well after I went upstairs and changed room, someone called us and told that the first section of buffet was fully booked and we had the second section from 8 pm ... that was an attempt to jeopardise my birthday celebration very disappointed again!!! I called to speak with the highest manager available and I was not been given that opportunity ! Later on I received an email from the front desk manager confirming that we could go to the first section of buffet at 5:30 to 7:30pm. At that time, we were going to go elsewhere but then we went and that was at 6:30 pm !
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very modern and chic with an old vintage flare. The building was the original police department in Sydney, however has been rebuilt with quality furnishings and design. Close to the Harbor was great! Also appreciate the money exchange @ frt desk
Cons: I did not like the valet service much. We would call 15-20 mins before we left and the car was never ready. We usually had to wait an addtl 10+ mins for our car. This was regardless if we were the only ones leaving. There was usually 2 to 3 valets!

Cons: Significant issue, bathroom plumbing! Very disappointed. Intrusive 2 our evening together. Missed going 4 pool swim b4 9pm. Water gushed from floor grating as bath plug pulled(add hot water) flooding area+carpet. Staff prompt/plunged floor pipes. Rm1313!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room with many amenities (robe, slippers, iron and ironing board, tv, WiFi, comfortable bed, quick room service, coffee & tea station, mini bar). 5 minute walk to ferry & train terminal which was very convenient.
Cons: Construction next door so noisy but workmen didn’t start until after 8 and were done by 5 or 6 pm
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Room was comfortable, clean and good size. Breakfast buffet was excellent it was included in my nightly rate. Had the seafood buffet as well which was good. Lobby bar has good ambience. Happy hour 4-6pm at Meat & Co good value. Some nice extra touches like weight scale in the bathroom, suit brush and shoe horn in cupboard. Good size desk and seat under the window a nice touch.
Cons: Check in quite slow even though I had priority check in. Restaurant Opera for seafood buffet dinner told there was two sittings but after electing to do second sitting it didn't seem to actually be policed. Coffee should be included in the buffet price. No USB sockets. Clunky TV menu and interface.

Pros: Location
Cons: This is not a hotel. It's a 1 bed flat (with old style carpet) and definitely does not feel like a high end hotel. Wifi never worked in 4 days despite repeatedly asking to have it fixed. I asked for a plug adaptor and was told to go and buy one (whilst other hotels in Australia always had one for foreign travelers). Breakfast 3 to low 4 star. There are plenty of nice hotels in the area. As a accor platinum card holder as decided to stay there. Never again,

Pros: Nice spacious and clean. Beautiful view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
Cons: The stench that came from the drainage in the laundry room.

Pros: The staff were amazing and looked after us incredibly well. The location was perfect and the rooms a little tired, but very comfortable, stunning views, and we had a wonderful stay. Looking forward to booking in again.
Cons: Property is definitely tired. However, it suited our purposes incredible well, the staff made up for the tired impression in the rooms. The location is amazing and so easy for me to move around as I have a slight disability.
7.5 Good
Pros:
Cons: All good except for Pool area not cleaned to often. A guest had let a baby on the pool and left a suprise for everyone. Not cleaned for our 3 day stay, even though staff informed.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the pool and spa facilities, loved the size of the rooms and the bed was super comfortable. the well equipped kitchen and laundry were a wonderful surprise!
Cons: We had to ask for extra bathrobes and a pool towel. There was no welcome pack explaining where the pool was, how to work the TV etc. But the staff were SOOO lovely and helpful, the fresh bathrobes and towels were in our hands in minutes from asking.

Pros: The location was great for our purpose. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
Cons: I was very disappointed with the location of the room. We were put in an inner courtyard room which although it did have a window we were unable to open the curtain because the window only looked into the courtyard and needed to be kept closed for privacy. I found the room very claustrophobic. If you want daylight in your room make sure to NOT book a standard room!

Pros: They food and service were good on the Horizon floor.
Cons: We were traveling with our 12 year old,who is very well behaved. We were told by our waiter that the 7:00 hour was drawing near and my son would have to leave the lounge. Which we obeyed every night and made our son leave the lounge. But on our third night, for some arbitrary reason, the horizon lounge manager let other children stay in the lounge passed the curfew hours, after he had requestied our son to leave. We questioned him and he flipped flopped with his story and then announced that all children were allowed to stay in the lounge for the rest of the week due to the Easter holiday. We just didn’t like when some people aren’t made to obey the rules and the manager fails to enforce them.

Pros: Location, room, view
Cons: Room service dinner was not at all what was on the menu (wrong cut of steak, wrong cheese, unripe tomatoes...). Pillows quite hard. Some mix up with my order at breakfast (staff didn't write the order down). I realise staying on a busy quay would be noisy, however music at night and boat horns were a little too much in the mornings. I'd probably stay somewhere nearby but not right on the harbour next time - not worth the extra spend.

Pros: Great location. Very comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were super helpful
Cons: Spa bath didn’t work I assumed the parking was included when I booked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, large rooms, professional, friendly staff who went above & beyond to make our 1st stay exceptional. The extra touches, card, balloons, wine & towels made into swans with rose petals to celebrate our 24th Wedding Anniversary were so special. This includes the Hacienda Bar on the 3rd level one of the best we’ve been to, views, music, food, cocktails and hostess all brilliant. Definitely will be back & recommend it highly.
Cons: Only that 2 lifts (a seperate lift) to access pool, spa, gym area.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good, nice that kids eat free
Cons: The bathroom in 4-10 needs a good clean in all the grouting, especially joining the walls to the floor and the fixtures. Was expecting better for the class and cost of this hotel

Pros: The Hyatt Regency Sydney is perfectly located for touring around Sydney and enjoying a central hotel location. We were there for New Year's Eve and were dazzled by the fireworks without even leaving our room. Access to the Club Lounge was a highlight.
Cons: The room was quite sparse. Locating outlets to charge devices was challenging. The price of the room for the quality of environment seemed mismatched (even for a holiday stay). The bed was on wheels and rolled at the slightest bump.

Pros: Location was good
Cons: Room was next to the lift shaft. Bathroom was suitable for a disabled person. Water went everywhere from the shower. Room had a door for an adjoining room. Could hear people next door. No extra pillows or blankets

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, great food
Cons: The Taxi driver waiting outside your doors, when I hadn’t check out he threw our bags in the van and started charging the minute he had done that, so was nearly $20 before I got in from checking out, my daughter told him we hadn’t checked out but he still out the bags in the van. Tainted the whole experience. They shouldn’t be allowed to wait outside your doors if they do the to your guest.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: breakfast is amazing and staff people are really friendly, location is perfect as in 2 minutes walk you join the public transportation or the wharf, reception is 24/24h
Cons: For the price you pay and for a 5 star hotel I was expecting something more from the room, size of the room is not impressive, moquette on the floor is something old-fashion from the '80s (and not hygienic at all), wall are very thin and you can hear the other guests, there is no possibilities to open the windows.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was very good. Staff was very courteous.
Cons: Carpet dated. Room small. Don't think 5 star rating is appropriate.

Cons: The breakfast well I had to ask for a knife as the table was not set with one,and the response I received when I asked for one was"the knifes are in the basket over there".Any way later i asked for a glass and similar answer"the glasses are behind the bar .I was thinking ok this isnt good so I ordered a savoury omlette well that just came as is no garnish on the plate.

Pros: For space & convenience....tick!
Cons: Seriously, is this the only Accor hotel in Australia that says “it’s not in my “”manual”” so I can’t help you Sir!”. Seriously Accor, 180 nights a year - 1/2th of my life is spent in your hotels. If a customer wants a glass of Rose, not listed on the Room Service Menu (the rules), this is your only hotel that says “no, Mr Customer....a) I cannot add your loyalty # because your did not book direct, b) no Mr Customer “the menu, is the menu and if you need something else you should go downstairs (seriously he said this!). I like the convince of booking.com, I like a hotel that at flexible their big spenders throughout their network, I do not like Sofitel Wentworth Sydney.

Pros: Location was brilliant. Easy walk to Circular Quay and the Opera House. Room was spacious and clean and beds were comfortable. Kitchenette basic but functional.
Cons: The whole hotel is a bit tired and the room could do with a paint but Id happily stay again anyway because of the location and value for money. The jackhammer at 7am at a nearby construction site was not great.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything else was fantastic.
Cons: The bathroom was in need of an upgrade. The shower head was very small & old looking - should be replaced.
4.8 Okay
Pros: The location was nice and the hotel entrance is quite pleasant.
Cons: The staff was a little odd from a giggly receptionist who lacked in some professionalism upon checking us in to other indifferent staff members working the front desk and the breakfast buffet. They weren't rude, but it wasn't welcoming. The room was a terrible disappointment actually. It looked nothing like the stunning pictures we saw online and the bathroom was not clean. Yes, it had clean towels and new toiletries but I could see parts of the floor hadn't been cleaned in probably a few months and there were gross stains from whatever on the back of the door and wall - It was just unpleasant to say the least.

7.0 Good
Pros: Welcoming friendly staff
Cons: Cleanliness, price, no breakfast included for price, elevator did not take us all the way to our room, washers both full so we could not do laundry, no ice machine, AC in room did not work.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Not Much. The staff were extremely polite and helpful considering what they had to work with.
Cons: The property was experiencing a major breakdown; first no lifts then no power. We were put in a room on the sixteenth floor where we had to lug our bags up to it. (my partner is 65 and I'm 70 years old). Late that night we had to be transferred to another hotel as power was still not on and we couldn't possibly walk up so many steps again and we were worried that if their had to be an emergency during the night we would have been at risk. PS. They have promised to reimburse all costs. We will wait and see!!!!
10.0 Excellent

Cons: I wish the shower had a fully enclosed shower.
7.7 Good
Pros:
Cons: Bathroom and shower. Shower leaked all over the floor. Both rooms for both stays. There was no exhaust fan to get the steam out.
7.1 Good

Cons: The staff at this hotel were ok, but the second room booked wasn't ready when my friends arrived
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in easy walking distance to the harbours, gardens, Opera house, shops and travel links. Staff are really helpful. The hotel experienced a power cut (no fault of the hotel)whilst we were staying there, however the staff kept us up to date with the problem and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
