Pros: Hotel Plaza Athenee (HPA) is the definition of superlative luxury. As an American in Paris, to be welcomed into The HPA is, in a profound sense, to be welcomed into the heart of France . . . into Parisian luxury. I must, in truth, admit that I am a person of exacting standards (my professional life requires such standards). Thus, for me to state highly complimentary remarks about a hotel amounts to deeply resonant truth. And too, I am deeply aware that the world contains people who have great means and those who have little or no means. Given this as background, my fervent wish is that all persons could experience the luxurious delight of The Hotel Plaza Athenee.

Pros: We had a wonderful, six-day, Parisian experience at the Hotel de Sers, located in the elegant Champs Elysees district and very close to the metro and upscale restaurants. The staff was consistently helpful and accommodating in their efforts to obtain tickets, give restaurant recommendations, make reservations, call taxis, provide maps and directions, serve in the restaurant, etc. Upon arrival, we were allowed to check in early. This was much appreciated after many hours of overnight travel. Accolades for Fernanda at the reception desk as well as the concierge (I can not remember his name!) for providing outstanding service in a cordial, welcoming atmosphere. Our room was not spacious, however, comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean.

Pros: Warm and welcoming staff for 10 straight days. Great food for complimentary breakfast as well as from the restaurant for sit down lunches, dinners, and room service. Beautiful hotel with well appointed, luxurious rooms. Great extra touches like chocolates left by housekeeping or bowl of fruit for no special reason. The location can not be overstated, it is ideal.

Pros: That you can see the Eiffel Tower from your window (making an effort, of course)

Pros: I had to find a lodging for two families (7 people in total, 4 adults and 3 small children). The possibility to rent a reasonably priced apartment for 6-7 people made our stay much nicer than having two separate rooms; we benefitted from the privacy of distinct bedrooms and toilets, while enjoying good moments in the common living room. The availability of a very well equipped kitchen also made our life much easier, especially for keeping and preparing meals for two babies.

Pros: Practical for business traveller, destined for one of international organizations, headquartered in Paris. Also good option for economy shopping tour.

Pros: The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had requested a room with twin beds on a lower floor and got one. The basic breakfast was very good with numerous additional options. The hotel is a five/ten minuite walk from the Arc deTriomphe and therefore very close to the Champs Elysées and central Paris.There was a very nice international clientele.
