Cons: Our room looked at the small courtyard. Not much of a view. Rooms with street views could be better.

Pros: Excellent location, including quick access to metro and Gare Montparnasse. Luxembourg Garden a short walk away. Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room and common areas were all very clean and tidy.

Pros: Comfy beds, they were very friendly, customizing, and made our honeymoon most enjoyable.

Pros: Hotel was at par. Staff was very friendly. As soon as we arrived our room was ready. Once we got into our room, we were greeted with bottled water chocolate and cookies. Room was extremely clean and bed was very comfortable. The location of the hotel is walking distance to most of the sights. You will enjoy your stay here guaranteed !!!!

Pros: Traveled with wife and daughter. Room was very clean. Staff amazing. Room was on smaller side for 3 people. Not much room to put suitcases. It is perfect for a couple though. Would definitely stay again. All in all good wxperience

Cons: Attention when you book a parking space in the hotel!!! You have to park on level -2 and the access is very very small. Especially from -1 to -2 is very difficult (Ii scratched my car ...) This parking is only for small cars, and not for SUV's or cars bigger than a VW Golf.. . The reception should notice this to the clients. The explanation that the garage is not from the hotel, but that they rent some spaces there, is not an excuse to not inform the customer. Better rent a parking in a public parking nearby.

Pros: Great hotel for the price. You can expect rooms to be small in Paris, yet everything was very high quality. Was on the 5th floor and it was amazing to have a small patio with a table. The staff were incredibly friendly while not impossing. The bar is great as well with an honor system where you pour your own wine or cocktails and write it down like you were at a private club. Will recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a centrally located $150-$220 hotel option. Montparnasse is a very cool area of Paris as well.

Pros: Great location. Minutes to several metro stations, lots of restaurant choices. all kinds of shops within easy walking distance. Bakeries, grocery stores. Hotel staff especially reception definitely go the extra mile!

Pros: The staff were really friendly, really helpful. I didn't feel at any point like anything was too much trouble. The room was beautiful, modern and spotless. The décor was thoughtful and suited the room. I felt like I got far more than I'd paid for and would happily have stayed longer. The atmosphere was really friendly, welcoming and classy all at the same time. The location was fantastic, fairly central and really accessible to both métro (multiple stops/lines within a 10 minute walk) and national lines (montparnasse less than 10 minutes away). I'd definitely stay here again!!

Cons: The rooms aren't soundproofed which was a shame as it was the only downside.

Pros: Staff was most helpful, a real strength. Honors bar, not dining facility but many great places within the block. Proximity to the intersection of Respail and Montparness boulevards is a real asset.

Cons: If I had stayed at a 2 star hotel I wouldn’t complain about this, but I could feel the metal spring of the bed, that was not very comfortable. The sink was moving. The room was very small. And it wasn‘t even ready at 3pm.

Pros: Big bed and location but the room looked absolutely nothing like the photos. It’s a king sized bed, a desk and barely room for 2 carry-on suitcases. Bathroom is tiny as well. Very clean and loved the location. Though it didn’t meet my expectations, I’d book again for the value.

Pros: The staff was great! They were very helpful. My parents were traveling with us. As in most European hotels, the elevator was very small. My mother has problems with confined spaces so was worried about the elevater. The gentleman at the front desk talked to her and got her in it, then ran up the 5 flights of stairs to meet her when it opened! That is service!

Pros: Very dated interior needing some TLC but spotless with great, helpful staff. We had a nice room with a balcony. Location is brilliant. Lots of restaurants, a supermarket and the metro nearby.

Pros: The bed was comfortable and the room was pretty. We had a balcony on the fourth floor which was a nice touch. Also the shower is big for a European hotel.

Cons: The light switches are a complicated puzzle consisting of two main switches that must be turned on at all times in order for any other night and a couple of plugs to work. We found one of the main switches on the first night. Unfortunately, on the last night we returned from dinner to discover none of our lights would turn on. When we requested help from the front desk, a guy came up, tried a few switches and basically told us "sorry about your luck." The next day I addressed the situation with the front desk and that's when we discovered the OTHER main switch that has to be turned on at all times. So when I asked the lady at the desk why the man from last night didn't fix it, her response was "well, he's new." Not a great answer. We didn't even recieve an apology. A disappointing end to an otherwise pleasant stay. Hopefully they will train new employees better in the future.

Pros: Excellent location - very close from Place Denfert-Rocherau (metro station) yet in a quite spot. Easy accessibility to all parts of Paris from there. Air conditioning is a big plus - a lot of hotels in Paris do not have air-con. Next to Rue Daguerre with plenty of food options. No parking on site - but with a bit of luck you can get free parking at night in the lanes adjoining the hotel, or at worst paid street parking. If the Catacombs interest you then the entrance is literally five minutes away form here.

Cons: Size of the room is small as is the bathroom. So open a large bag and there is very little space left.

Cons: I requested that the payment to be settled in cash when we arrive but it was deducted from my credit card straight away.

Pros: The room is cozy with large space compared to other similar hotels in Paris. The staff are warm and helpful. We got an early check-in at around 10am, and received helpful suggestions on nearby restaurants. The location is great, around 200m from Denfert Rochereau station, where you can reach most famous sights in Paris in 30 minutes. The price is really tempting, with less than 100 euros per room. Will come back again and recommend this hotel to my friends.

Cons: I found some stains in the bath tub and the cup, together with a bug on the sofa.

Pros: Comfortable hotel in a quite and safe area. Very good connection to Orly airport (less than 5 minutes walk to Olry Bus station). Good selection of restaurants in the area (with prices generally lower then in the touristic center). Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff.

Cons: Not too close to major sights in city center, however, pretty close to 2 metro stations.

Pros: The rooms very comfortable and clean. Location for my work was ideal. Nice little brassiere on the corner next to hotel. I had continental breakfast and it was good. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. I could see the Tower from my balcony. I definitely would recommend for staying but can’t comment on location as I wasn’t sight seeing.

Pros: The hotel was very well appointed. It is elegant and charming in a compact way. I loved the elegance and size of the hotel. The location was great as it was accessible to many restaurants and shops. It was not noisy with the windows closed. The metro was not far away, but we walked from the Latin Quarter several times. (Long walk).

Cons: The hotel is old and needs some repairs. Our sink was cracked, for example. The shower was awkward to use, but useable. The A/C was off for the season so the room was stuffy. Opening the window was a problem due to noise from the outdoor cafe below our window and due to rain. Our room was small but not too small. Our traveling companions were across the hall in a very small room (same cost). It was nearly impossible for them to move around the bed with their suitcase open. I would suggest asking for an upgrade or requesting one, when booking.

Pros: Location is perfect, there's a metro station 150m from the hotel, bus stops, a lot of coffee shops and restaurants, bars, really central and good location. Staff was all very nice, special thanks to Patrick, he's the best. Room was clean and comfortable, not huge as none of the French rooms are but good enough for us. Breakfast is very good, everything is fresh and there's a good variety.

Pros: Friendly and accommodating staff. Offered a city view room before check in time .Supplied umbrellas for the rainy day and wine openers as well. Great customer service.. It's a quaint but modern hotel in a great neighborhood.

Cons: Standard room was tiny, shower difficult to not get water on floor, closet won't hold standard hangers. Worst was heating system that ran too hot all week. Only solution was opening balcony door and listening to street noise all night.

Pros: We stayed at the Hotel Mercure for our anniversary and were delighted with the accomodations. The hotel was beautiful and the room was clean, comfortable, modern and well appointed. The staff were very friendly, helpful and always going the extra mile to provide outstanding service. The Hotel Mercure has larger rooms than we have seen in Paris and even has several dedicated accessible rooms for differently abled guests. For travelers from out of town, the hotel is very conveniently located, close to two different metro lines and the bus. Within three blocks there are several fine restaurants and brasseries, three grocery stores, and a wide variety of shops, bakeries and boutiques. Most of the hotel staff speak very good English if you are still working on learning French. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Paris.
