Buy your ticket from the machine at the stop. Guinness is right across the river and the hotel is close to the museums, the gaol, and Phoenix park. Big buffet breakfast was good and room service was great. Staff was friendly and attentive. I asked for a quiet room and it was very quiet and very spacious for Europe. Bathroom, tub and shower were great - hot water and good pressure.

Cons: The entry process to the house was horrible. First of all I was unaware that there would not be someone present to unlock the door, I pictured someone sitting at a desk to give you a key. I emailed what time I would be in and they said there was nothing further I had to do. Well we got there and no one was there to greet us. We waited for an hr and rang the doorbell multiple times. A couple leaving the house kindly called the owner and got the housekeeper to unlock the doors. She was apologetic and kind. Otherwise the room was very nice. Need to improve communications.

Cons: When we arrived the door and siding metal door were locked. We waited outside in the street for 10 minutes until we realized there was an intercom but it could only be reached by reaching through the bars of the gated door. Finally, we were able to reach it and wait until someone let us in. There is no outside light so when returning at night it's very dark at the door.

Cons: The location is great being so central to Temple Bar area, but this was also a negative as it was incredibly noisy during the night from revellers inn nearby pubs and clubs until 5am in the morning and then even in the morning with a lot of building activity. So you would need a good drink to sleep through! Which is a shame because we would certainly stay again if it was not for this, sometimes location can be a blessing and a curse! The shower doesn't get you very wet either and so a newer model would fit the rest of the property a lot better.

Pros: This is an excellent hotel. The location is on the North side of the river, but Dublin is small enough that the location really doesn't matter. It isn't worth the money (in my opinion) to spend more to stay further South. The hotel is right on the 747 AirLink bus to and from the airport which is a real plus. Plus there is plenty of bus and tram service to all parts of the city within a very short walk. The hotel is modern and well kept, but a bit on the sterile side. Don't get me wrong, the rooms are nice, but nothing that you would write home about. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of seating. Staff is pleasant, welcoming and requests are acted upon in a reasonable timeframe.

Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at The Morgan! We could not have had a better location or staff for our honeymoon in Dublin. Our check in was not until 3pm, we arrived at 9am and they gave us a room right away without any complications. When we got to our room our room key was not working, we notified staff and they not only tried to remedy the problem right away but without hesitation they moved us to a different room. They actually upgraded us at no additional charge. We got complimentary drinks at the bar and the bar staff was extraordinary! They took care of us and made sure our stay was nothing but Perfect! If we ever get a chance to come back to Dublin we will definitely be coming to stay at The Morgan!

The hotel has had a makeover since we last visited, and it looks beautiful. We stayed in the Aston Suite which is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully decorated and furnished with a great balcony too. Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at The Morgan! We could not have had a better location or staff for our honeymoon in Dublin. Our check in was not until 3pm, we arrived at 9am and they gave us a room right away without any complications. When we got to our room our room key was not working, we notified staff and they not only tried to remedy the problem right away but without hesitation they moved us to a different room. They actually upgraded us at no additional charge. We got complimentary drinks at the bar and the bar staff was extraordinary! They took care of us and made sure our stay was nothing but Perfect! If we ever get a chance to come back to Dublin we will definitely be coming to stay at The Morgan!

Cons: Had room 103. Room was unusually small, could hardly open suitcases but had a huge bed. Not good. Bathroom door was not sealed, small shower, so water leaked all the way to the front door. Constantly had to wipe up water all over. I would suggest you fix this. We were not happy with the quality of your shower facility.

Pros: This is a truly wonderful hotel right in the heart of Temple Bar. The staff are all so welcoming and make you feel valued. The hotel has had a makeover since we last visited, and it looks beautiful. We stayed in the Aston Suite which is absolutely gorgeous, beautifully decorated and furnished with a great balcony too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a bit of luxury, with a great location and attentive staff. We will be back soon.

Cons: There was no AC in the hotel on the top floor.. it forced us to keep the window open as it was very warm -78-80 F in the room Staff tried to help us with heater/fans... but... that didnt really help. We were forced to leave the window open and endure the nightly noise of Fleet street. This was disappointing.

Cons: we booked a deluxe double room and paid £400 for 2 nights room only and the room we were given i wouldn't have stayed in for half the price, it was shockingly small, had a double bed and a single bed at the end of it that you had to climb over to get to the other side of the double, it was horrendous. we were moved to another room which was much better but no where near the standard i expected. I would have put it at a decent standard room, no where near a deluxe room. It was super noisy at night but you do expect that and the complimentary ear plugs came in very handy so that was fine but still very disappointed in the room.

Cons: The room I was in no 239 had some bad points, firstly it looked onto an enclosed area adjacent to the bar. While it did not bother me, it could be seen as having privacy issues for some people, if customers were using seating near your room window. The second point is good and bad, at the same time. The hotels inward facing rooms all look onto the inner courtyard, forming a square. As my room was at the end of the third corner, it was beside a corridor offering a shortcut to the bar and breakfast area through a doorway, saving a long walk, but also meant the door could be heard closing after each use. It might be better for the hotel to have it altered to close quietly.

Cons: The one thing we find difficult was the room size, it was so small that when we opened our single medium size suitcase there was no space left. However, we find this place excellent in terms of location, staff and value for money. You get to meet a lot of people from different countries. Lastly, keep in mind this is a hostel not a hotel so expect the service accordingly and based on what you pay.

Cons: Upon arrival, the staff was more concerned with being cool than with being courteous. Morning staff was much better. What rubbed me the wrong way about this place is that they fail to provide any kind of secure storage for even the smallest of items. There are lock boxes under the beds, but require you bring your own padlock or pay a ridiculous amount of money to use the luggage storage in the basement. Plan ahead or snuggle your valuables. Also, no outside food is allowed. Strange for a hostel. The reason given is that plenty of food is available on site for purchase. Most things on the menu were expensive for a backpacker. The restaurants and supermarket across the way are the best options. Also, the provided shower gel dispenser is always empty and make sure you double check the toilet paper before you sit down. This place clearly has its eye on being trendy to attract the young, party crowd. It’s nothing similar to what backpackers are used to from every other hostel on the planet and fails to provide the community experience and chance to meet new people that solo travelers look for. Considering the price isn’t even on the lower end, there are better places in Dublin.

Cons: This is no longer a hostel, so you can't get a dorm. When I booked I booked a six bed dorm and they then contacted me and told me it was no longer possible for this, as it is now a hotel. They rearranged my accomodation to another hostel in Dublin. This hostel was further out and the breakfast was shocking, but I appreciated the effort of the staff in helping us to fix the mistake. I am only leaving this review to inform others, so they do not make the same mistake.

Cons: I always stay at blooms when I visit Dublin, this being my 5th time. My room was not great this time. I was in room 411, the bathroom was so small with no bath (bath doesn’t bother me) but it was hard to get in and out of the shower and close the by folding door without having to squeeze yourself between shower wall and door. My brother was with us staying in a different room & his room was decent size bathroom with bath, if he would of got our room he probably would of had to of moved as he wouldn’t of fit in the shower and been able to close the door. The toilet was squeezed in between the wall and the sink yet again tiny space so much I could only just fit, my boyfriend struggled. Never been in a room with a bathroom so small. The noise on a morning outside the hotel was not great there was loud road works, now this doesn’t bother me but it was from 7am in the morning all until late at night - it would of been nice to of been warned.

Also there was a vent that came on when the bathroom door was opened and it blew the shower curtain into the tub, so it would stick on my body while i was in the shower, which is kind of gross.

Play pool with new friends, eat cheap by cooking in the huge kitchen, go on the free walking tours, use the free tablets, sleep in comfortable beds, and be close to all the wonderful sights Dublin has to offer.

Cons: Poorly maintained facilities. Had requested an airport shuttle prior to arrival and they never organised it (despite advertising that an airport shuttle is avialable)

Cons: We had an on suite and it was filthy, dirt all over the floor. Asked for it to be cleaned and it wasn’t touched the whole 4 days we stayed there. Only 2 power points for a 4 bed room... and power to those points went out on the second day and weren’t fixed, so no power in the room.

Cons: There wasn’t so much choice for the breakfast, the fittest contact with the staff wasn’t as kind as we expected. To use facilities like lockers or luggage room you need to pay an extra.

Pros: Very clean and in a central location close to many shops and attractions.
Cons: We had a hard time finding it because it’s off the main road and tucked into a side street. Even taxi was confused. We found it very tight and only one person at a time could get up and around in the room. No chairs either, so only the bottom bunk person could sit and 2 top bunkers sat on floor, that is until someone needed to walk in or out. It was just inconvenient, but still a great value.

Cons: I was staying in Avalon during 10 days. Someone clean the room during the first 3 days and then nothing, not even a new paper roll in our private bathroom. A bathroom without light, perfect when you need to use it at night !

Cons: This place was disgusting! The room was dirty, the bathroom smelled moldy and the carpet was so nasty, we were afraid to walk on it without shoes. Additionally, we almost got stuck in the lift because it was broken, but no one bothered to put up a sign! We were there for 3 days, and it was broken the entire time we stayed there. We never saw any maintenance people even attempting to repair it. This place was not family friendly as indicated!!

Pros: I liked the Victorian look and the location was five minutes walk to shopping and restaurants. The mall was basically just around the corner.. More dusting or vacuuming needed though.. I had an allergic reaction from the dust but that’s nothing new for me.

Well there was a drunk that security had to deal with but for almost 4 hours. Nothing but screaming of inappropriate language, actually disturbing language. It went on for way too long. Don’t book the first floor..

Cons: I did not see that the description mentioned that the hotel has major night clubs and the very loud music affects the rooms. I was on the 3rd floor and it was loud but not too bad. However, the hotel employs bouncers at the entrance I assume to police who gets into the hotel but should go the night club. Anyway, i went for a run aftwr I had checked in and when I got back the bouncer hassled me and I had trouble getting into the hotel to go back to my room. I found the behaviour quite appaling and certainly will not stay there again.

Cons: VERY NOISY! Radiator was jammed full on so room was boiling. Bed was massively uncomfortable with very bad mattress. Hotel had a bad smell. Has a bar/night club that was noisy from when I checked in (17.30) until past 01.00hrs. Reception staff unfriendly on check out. Room was very old, bathroom was cracked and old, taps were faulty, shower was awful.
I travel frequently and have stayed in a lot of hotels worldwide and this was a shocker for a European hotel - will not be back!
