Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at The Morgan! We could not have had a better location or staff for our honeymoon in Dublin. Our check in was not until 3pm, we arrived at 9am and they gave us a room right away without any complications. When we got to our room our room key was not working, we notified staff and they not only tried to remedy the problem right away but without hesitation they moved us to a different room. They actually upgraded us at no additional charge. We got complimentary drinks at the bar and the bar staff was extraordinary! They took care of us and made sure our stay was nothing but Perfect! If we ever get a chance to come back to Dublin we will definitely be coming to stay at The Morgan!

Cons: While we are "an almost mature couple" and enjoy being close to the nightlife - the proximity to all of the nighttime crowds and related noise was a bit disconcerting and noisy. While we advised staff that our phone was out - which made it difficult to contact our family in other rooms - couldn't seem to get it correct within our 3 night stay.

Cons: There was no AC in the hotel on the top floor.. it forced us to keep the window open as it was very warm -78-80 F in the room Staff tried to help us with heater/fans... but... that didnt really help. We were forced to leave the window open and endure the nightly noise of Fleet street. This was disappointing.
Other than this our stay at the Morgan was good.

Cons: The front rooms of the Hotel overlook quite a busy street (particularly at 2am on a Saturday night) and can be a little noisy. Our room card keys didnt work initially, and there was quite a long wait to have these changed as the reception desk gets very busy.

Guest Service Rep came to greet us and had the goats milk avail for my daughter. In the USA we can only purchase at select store and did not realize it was more common to have in Dublin. We have made Dublin-the Shelbourne as our #1 headquarters. The quality of our stay, the fact they have vetted services for a nanny, great food, amazing polite service from all departments simply speaks volumes. Mr. Hanley and his staff at this fine establishment continue to amaze me. I really appreciate the peace of mind they bring to me and my little 1 and 2 year old children each visit. We surely feel special and love the amazing spacious rooms. THANK YOU ALL!! See you again next year.

Cons: When I arrived at 10AM, there was no room ready (understandable), but when I returned in the afternoon, I was shown to a room with a worker working on scaffolding directly outside my window. The second room was fine, but I was disappointed that the clerk had initially no problem assuming he could leave us in a room where we could all wave to a worker!

Cons: One thing when we arrived, the hotel didn't seem to have our booking which you should have confirmed with them, its not the fact that this was not done by yourselves, but the fact was, what if they did not have a room for us, but luckily they did, so we were disappointed in your service.. You will have to take that up with the hotel themselves in this matter. They said that our booking reference was not from their website & that we should have confirmed this ourselves, but why should we if we have it down in black & white that it was confirmed by booking.com

It wa saa bonus on the day of check-out that we could leave the car as long as we liked for no extra charge - ideal for that last bit of shopping. Cons: The entry process to the house was horrible. First of all I was unaware that there would not be someone present to unlock the door, I pictured someone sitting at a desk to give you a key. I emailed what time I would be in and they said there was nothing further I had to do. Well we got there and no one was there to greet us. We waited for an hr and rang the doorbell multiple times. A couple leaving the house kindly called the owner and got the housekeeper to unlock the doors. She was apologetic and kind. Otherwise the room was very nice. Need to improve communications.

It's on the far end of Temple Bar, near O'Connel Street, but that means it's central to everything. I was able to drop off my luggage early so I could explore Dublin for the day. I also got upgraded from a single room to a double with no extra charge. Room was quiet - during the day you could occasionally here slot machines outside the window, but I can't complain. Never heard the bar crowd. Great facilities, never got to check out the pool or breakfast but I'm sure they're both wonderful. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dublin, for either business or leisure.

It seemed like the staff was more interested in talking to eachother than helping us, and when I finally flagged the bartender down he asked us if we were in a hurry, not the kind of service you would expect from a hotel of this status. On the up side the food and drinks were great and we just opted for room service for dinner.

Staff was very helpful--upgraded our room without any trouble when we expressed our disappointment in our "superior" room. Cons: we booked a deluxe double room and paid £400 for 2 nights room only and the room we were given i wouldn't have stayed in for half the price, it was shockingly small, had a double bed and a single bed at the end of it that you had to climb over to get to the other side of the double, it was horrendous. we were moved to another room which was much better but no where near the standard i expected. I would have put it at a decent standard room, no where near a deluxe room. It was super noisy at night but you do expect that and the complimentary ear plugs came in very handy so that was fine but still very disappointed in the room.

Cons: The room was extremely small and not worth the price that was being paid. It was very expensive for the room quality. The room was not cleaned to an appropriate standard, for example anything placed on the floor would be covered in dust. There was a utility room actually in the room that was open and would not close. The staff at the front desk were not helpful, except the staff member on check out. I left something in my room and trying to contact the staff to arrange for me to pickup was extremely difficult. The noise from the nightclud was extremely loud and could not sleep. I would not stay at again nor recommend this hotel.

Don´t call a taxi from the hotel, it takes forever. We waited for 30 min and ended up booking a MyTaxi last minute, since we were going to be late and we had no clue on how longer we had to wait.

Pros: Great hotel. Nice and clean but pretty pricey considering all you get is the actual room. Call ahead if you have a car to park. We parked in Fleet Street parking as they advised and it gave us a reduced(but still pricey) rate for parking our car. Easy to find, wonderful staff. The “what I didn’t like” is more for extra info. Would 100% recommend this hotel and 100% stay in again if ever back in Dublin! Perfect location!!!!

Pros: The hotel is located on Dame Street which is directly in front of Trinity College main entrance and on the edge of Temple Bar District. Because we were staying for a week, we opted not to have housekeeping come in every day. The housekeeping staff left bundles of towels, shampoo and toilet paper outside our door to restock the room.

Cons: No hair conditioner. If I hadn’t called ahead and asked about parking in downtown Dublin it would’ve cost a pretty penny. No breakfast but you do get two small complimentary drinks when you get there. The drinks at their bar are pricey but comparable to other Temple Bar pubs. Breakfast restaurant closes at 11:00 even though check out is at 12, so be mindful!

Pros: The hotel is located on Dame Street which is directly in front of Trinity College main entrance and on the edge of Temple Bar District. Because we were staying for a week, we opted not to have housekeeping come in every day. The housekeeping staff left bundles of towels, shampoo and toilet paper outside our door to restock the room.
Cons: The bathroom needed maintenance. There was mold growing on the wall above the door and the grout was discolored with mildew. The toilet leaked and made the room smell of sewer. It was unusually warm the first day we were there. They don't have air-conditioning; which is understandable but there were no fans available and the windows only open a few inches. The area outside our window was filled with several mechanical units which were rather loud.

Cons: The bathroom was very out-dated. The tub was chipped in many places. The shower head was very high up and almost facing the wall, but it was too high to reach to fix it. The sink had a hot water faucet with its own spout and a cold water faucet with it’s own spout, making washing up extremely difficult!! Also there was a vent that came on when the bathroom door was opened and it blew the shower curtain into the tub, so it would stick on my body while i was in the shower, which is kind of gross.

But saying that we werent in the room for too long and it wouldnt put me off stayin there again

Cons: Nothing, the place was great. There were some annoying persons staying there, but that's to be expected and it's not the hostel's fault.

Cons: The shower room bathroom was overlooked by another building (hotel?) with no curtain on the window. The frosted glass allowed for privacy from the ground floor level but not from the five stories looking down on us. Breakfast choices were pretty limited.
