Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at The Morgan! We could not have had a better location or staff for our honeymoon in Dublin. Our check in was not until 3pm, we arrived at 9am and they gave us a room right away without any complications. When we got to our room our room key was not working, we notified staff and they not only tried to remedy the problem right away but without hesitation they moved us to a different room. They actually upgraded us at no additional charge. We got complimentary drinks at the bar and the bar staff was extraordinary! They took care of us and made sure our stay was nothing but Perfect! If we ever get a chance to come back to Dublin we will definitely be coming to stay at The Morgan!

Cons: There was no AC in the hotel on the top floor.. it forced us to keep the window open as it was very warm -78-80 F in the room Staff tried to help us with heater/fans... but... that didnt really help. We were forced to leave the window open and endure the nightly noise of Fleet street. This was disappointing.

Cons: The entry process to the house was horrible. First of all I was unaware that there would not be someone present to unlock the door, I pictured someone sitting at a desk to give you a key. I emailed what time I would be in and they said there was nothing further I had to do. Well we got there and no one was there to greet us. We waited for an hr and rang the doorbell multiple times. A couple leaving the house kindly called the owner and got the housekeeper to unlock the doors. She was apologetic and kind. Otherwise the room was very nice. Need to improve communications.

Cons: we booked a deluxe double room and paid £400 for 2 nights room only and the room we were given i wouldn't have stayed in for half the price, it was shockingly small, had a double bed and a single bed at the end of it that you had to climb over to get to the other side of the double, it was horrendous. we were moved to another room which was much better but no where near the standard i expected. I would have put it at a decent standard room, no where near a deluxe room. It was super noisy at night but you do expect that and the complimentary ear plugs came in very handy so that was fine but still very disappointed in the room.

Pros: Rooms were big and comfortable as well as very clean. The pressure in the shower was great too. 18 Euro for a breakfast per morning so I expected it to be really good which it was. Bus stop into the center is very close and only takes a few minutes. Staff were also excellent in helping us with requests.
Cons: It was so cold! The fan in the room was kept at 25 degrees temperature but it drops to 22 on its own accord. I turned it off as the air coming out of it was really cold. My second night the room was even colder as the fan was off. I asked the front desk about it all and apparently it is a new system that they're still getting to grips with. They have me a portable heater for my room which helped a lot. As much as the hotel was lovely, for a 4-star rating, I really wasn't expecting to be shivering while sitting on my bed. My colleagues who were staying on the same floor as me also complained about the coldness.

Pros: Really comfortable beds without any noises and extremely quiet in the room thanks to the doubled isolation layer on the windows, and also on the corridors it was quiet, so really amazing sleep quality. Spacey and warm and great overall, including checkout at 12PM which not a lot of hotels do as normally it's a lot earlier! Really close to Tesco Metro and a couple big shopping centres, plus the tram (Luas) and bus stations and restaurants, so everything you want is there.

Pros: Couldn't fault this hotel. Stayed for three nights. Room good size, very clean and quiet. Bed, pillows wonderful. Bathroom clean and adequate. The security is extremely good, you use your key to access corridors, lifts and toilets. All staff very friendly and helpful. Bar welcoming and food very good. This hotel is in an ideal location, very central and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Cons: It was a bathtub instead of shower cabin, and it was not too bad but the negatives were that water would splash everywhere (there was a curtain though so it helped if used properly) and this mainly because of the 2nd negative: the shower head was mounted on the wall and non-movable.

Cons: The private bedroom is on the first floor and it’s very noise. You need to wear ear plugs to be able to sleep, specially if you’re staying during the weekend. You can also hear people walking on the corridor as if they were walking inside your room.

Pros: The staff here is absolutely wonderful and very friendly! You can ask for suggestions on places to go and things see and to do and they give out detailed descriptions on what you should expect to experience at each destination! The Night Staff was equally wonderful! To my surprise the night guards/security we're very friendly and helpful and happy to give good directions to near by places. The bartenders are cheerful, funny and have great suggestions for local restaurants and nightlife activities. The reception team is outstanding! They are warm and welcoming and available 24/7! They can help you with any delemas or concerns may come up during your stay. On my next trip to Dublin I will stay at the generator and the staff has a HUGE part to play in desire to book a room with the generator again!

Pros: The facilities are modern and relatively clean. Rooms are well maintained and mattresses are pretty comfortable. The bar area is nice and live music is a plus. Building and rooms are also secure. Swipe cards are required to go anywhere and there’s security at the door.
Cons: Upon arrival, the staff was more concerned with being cool than with being courteous. Morning staff was much better. What rubbed me the wrong way about this place is that they fail to provide any kind of secure storage for even the smallest of items. There are lock boxes under the beds, but require you bring your own padlock or pay a ridiculous amount of money to use the luggage storage in the basement. Plan ahead or snuggle your valuables. Also, no outside food is allowed. Strange for a hostel. The reason given is that plenty of food is available on site for purchase. Most things on the menu were expensive for a backpacker. The restaurants and supermarket across the way are the best options. Also, the provided shower gel dispenser is always empty and make sure you double check the toilet paper before you sit down. This place clearly has its eye on being trendy to attract the young, party crowd. It’s nothing similar to what backpackers are used to from every other hostel on the planet and fails to provide the community experience and chance to meet new people that solo travelers look for. Considering the price isn’t even on the lower end, there are better places in Dublin.

Right in Smithfield steps away from great restaurants, cinema, pubs cafes and live Irish Music. Right above the Jameson Brewery Tasting Rooms. Cons: Beds were comfortable but creaked. Every time you turned or moved, the whole bed would creak and move.

Pros: The staff here is absolutely wonderful and very friendly! You can ask for suggestions on places to go and things see and to do and they give out detailed descriptions on what you should expect to experience at each destination! The Night Staff was equally wonderful! To my surprise the night guards/security we're very friendly and helpful and happy to give good directions to near by places. The bartenders are cheerful, funny and have great suggestions for local restaurants and nightlife activities. The reception team is outstanding! They are warm and welcoming and available 24/7! They can help you with any delemas or concerns may come up during your stay. On my next trip to Dublin I will stay at the generator and the staff has a HUGE part to play in desire to book a room with the generator again!
Cons: The only things that I can complain about is the fact that the laundry room often has a line waiting because the dryers take too long to dry. Just for one load it can take up to two to three hours before your clothes become dry, but even then they may not be dry and this leaves people will still be waiting to take their turn while their clothespecially sit soaking wet. Also the bar could be open later.

Cons: No hair conditioner. If I hadn’t called ahead and asked about parking in downtown Dublin it would’ve cost a pretty penny. No breakfast but you do get two small complimentary drinks when you get there. The drinks at their bar are pricey but comparable to other Temple Bar pubs. Breakfast restaurant closes at 11:00 even though check out is at 12, so be mindful!

Also there was a vent that came on when the bathroom door was opened and it blew the shower curtain into the tub, so it would stick on my body while i was in the shower, which is kind of gross.

The bathroom looked like it hadn’t really been cleaned properly. Also multiple cages under the beds were missing, or in my case, unable to be pulled out far enough to open as it was obstructed by another bed. When I asked staff to switch beds, or for somewhere else to securely store my bags they just told me I’d have to stick to my assigned bed and that was all. I also asked if they had a portable fan or anything to help with airflow, but they were also unable to help.

Cons: The room was facing temple bar so you literally got no sleep whatsoever.

Pros: I enjoyed the free soup and salad that was left out for dinner every evening. The kitchen and lounge facilities were awesome. Was able to keep my luggage in the bag hold for free after check in. Location was excellent!

Play pool with new friends, eat cheap by cooking in the huge kitchen, go on the free walking tours, use the free tablets, sleep in comfortable beds, and be close to all the wonderful sights Dublin has to offer.

Pros: It was walking distance to Trinity College, Temple Bar and many of the sites in Dublin.
Cons: This place was disgusting! The room was dirty, the bathroom smelled moldy and the carpet was so nasty, we were afraid to walk on it without shoes. Additionally, we almost got stuck in the lift because it was broken, but no one bothered to put up a sign! We were there for 3 days, and it was broken the entire time we stayed there. We never saw any maintenance people even attempting to repair it. This place was not family friendly as indicated!!
