Pros: Since we were attending a concert at the Bord Gais, this was absolutely the perfect location. Everything about this hotel was first class from the moment we arrived to the time we left - rooftop bar was brilliant, they even supply blankets for cold summer nights! Never ate there but the Brasserie menu looked delicious. However the highlight of the stay had to be the beds - as my wife said, like sleeping inside a giant marshmallow - the most comfortable bed ever!

Cons: One thing when we arrived, the hotel didn't seem to have our booking which you should have confirmed with them, its not the fact that this was not done by yourselves, but the fact was, what if they did not have a room for us, but luckily they did, so we were disappointed in your service.. You will have to take that up with the hotel themselves in this matter. They said that our booking reference was not from their website & that we should have confirmed this ourselves, but why should we if we have it down in black & white that it was confirmed by booking.com

Cons: The entry process to the house was horrible. First of all I was unaware that there would not be someone present to unlock the door, I pictured someone sitting at a desk to give you a key. I emailed what time I would be in and they said there was nothing further I had to do. Well we got there and no one was there to greet us. We waited for an hr and rang the doorbell multiple times. A couple leaving the house kindly called the owner and got the housekeeper to unlock the doors. She was apologetic and kind. Otherwise the room was very nice. Need to improve communications.

Cons: When we arrived the door and siding metal door were locked. We waited outside in the street for 10 minutes until we realized there was an intercom but it could only be reached by reaching through the bars of the gated door. Finally, we were able to reach it and wait until someone let us in. There is no outside light so when returning at night it's very dark at the door.

Cons: The location is great being so central to Temple Bar area, but this was also a negative as it was incredibly noisy during the night from revellers inn nearby pubs and clubs until 5am in the morning and then even in the morning with a lot of building activity. So you would need a good drink to sleep through! Which is a shame because we would certainly stay again if it was not for this, sometimes location can be a blessing and a curse! The shower doesn't get you very wet either and so a newer model would fit the rest of the property a lot better.

Pros: The room was lovely with attention to detail that made our stay pleasant. It was spacious, the Wifi was strong, and the location was convenient to visit places we wanted to see.
Cons: We were told that breakfast would be included. However, we did not know until after check-in that the breakfast is not on the property and the hours would not work with our travel itinerary. The person who checked us in said that the place for breakfast, Panem Cafe, does not open until 9:30 AM on Saturday. This time is stated on the voucher as well. We needed to leave by 8:30 AM to the airport. She mentioned that we could ask the owner to refund that portion of amount we paid. When I emailed to find out if we could have a refund for the amount of the breakfast, I was declined and told by Matt that the restaurant opens at 8:00 AM daily, and he did not know who told us that. I emailed a response that it was the young woman who checked us in, also it states the 9:30 AM time on the voucher, but he never replied. Therefore, we paid extra for a 3 course menu for two people that we never received and will not receive compensation.

Doors seem very heavy and tight, they always give a loud noise every time being closed. That noise lasted throgh the first night, at the frequency of half an hour! I don't know who doesn't need to sleep at night, going in and out repeatedly. On the second night, a woman and a man were talking loudly(in the yard next to the reception) even at 2-4 o'clock AM!!!

The water pressure in the shower was weak but this seems to be an overall issue in Ireland as that was the case in most accommodations (B&Bs) we stayed in. The price for the double room from Thursday to Friday without breakfast was quite high in my opinion but maybe that's because of Dublin and the central Location of the Temple Bar Inn.

Cons: For two days the cleaner forgot to refill the toilet paper, in the end we had to go and ask for some at the reception. Getting to the room from the main entrance took FOREVER. Even though we were on the first floor, we had to walk up and down two separate flights of stairs and go through approximately 5 closed doors (great when you're coming with luggage...) and several long corridors. The double bed only had one large duvet, we would have preferred two. The sound isolation wasn't great, we could hear our neighbors watching TV late at night.

Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at The Morgan! We could not have had a better location or staff for our honeymoon in Dublin. Our check in was not until 3pm, we arrived at 9am and they gave us a room right away without any complications. When we got to our room our room key was not working, we notified staff and they not only tried to remedy the problem right away but without hesitation they moved us to a different room. They actually upgraded us at no additional charge. We got complimentary drinks at the bar and the bar staff was extraordinary! They took care of us and made sure our stay was nothing but Perfect! If we ever get a chance to come back to Dublin we will definitely be coming to stay at The Morgan!

Cons: we booked a deluxe double room and paid £400 for 2 nights room only and the room we were given i wouldn't have stayed in for half the price, it was shockingly small, had a double bed and a single bed at the end of it that you had to climb over to get to the other side of the double, it was horrendous. we were moved to another room which was much better but no where near the standard i expected. I would have put it at a decent standard room, no where near a deluxe room. It was super noisy at night but you do expect that and the complimentary ear plugs came in very handy so that was fine but still very disappointed in the room.

Cons: The corridors were filled with empty bottles and glasses at 3 pm, nobody cleaned those until evening. The location was ugly- lots on demolition works around everywhere you look and lots of construction noise outside, no view whatsoever- only ruins of buildings. Hotel has put some computers and printers dowstairs so you could print out your boarding passes BUT those computers were so secured which means the computer denied almost every operation you needed to do to print something out. Absolutely useless option. Prices for breakfast and accommodation are too high for the quality offered.

Cons: There was continuous noise from a generator or heating system that filtered up to my bedroom. I got over it by having the TV on and later I got to sleep because I luckily had ear plugs with me. The other thing was the plump pillows, they were all plump and I like a flatter pillow to sleep on. Not a major problem but perhaps if the bottom pillow was a little flatter it would be ideal.

Cons: -Early check-in was not available which caused some issues and inconvenience -I had another colleague taking over my room for the last night of our booking (when I went home) and they assured me that the room would be cleaned between our stays. I put a label on the door to clean the room that morning and made a point to tell reception staff when I left, as they had requested that I do, when the switch of guest was happening, but the room was still dirty and not cleaned when he arrived later that evening and he had to notify housekeeping. -Obtaining a receipt from the venue has been ridiculously complicated and took hours and 4 (yes actually 4) phonecalls to email a document to me! I had to call the venue 4 times and 1 more call to booking.com (after incorrect advice from the venue) before I finally received my receipt which was for a pre-paid room!!! The venue firstly assured me that it would be emailed imminently, then on tehnext call said booking.com would need to issue it, then on the third call said they would send it to me again (but didnt take down my email address correctly) and then finally sent it. I have experienced this with Jury's Inn Liverpool too in the past, so you need to educate your staff about booking.com bookings and that JURY'S need to provide receipts after stays not booking.com.

The staff, however, didn't seem to care much about this issue. We had to speak to three different people at the reception to get the change agreed. They seemed not to communicate among themselves at all. The same happened when on the last night when we purchased breakfast for the following day. The waiter at the breakfast room wasn't aware about the purchase, we were not resulting in any list. We stayed at another Clayton hotel in Dublin few days before and experienced same frustration with the staff. Personnel not really helpful, not smiling and not enough trained (many trainees) to deal with clientele. Too bad for 4 stars

Cons: We didn’t know that there was an old part to the hotel and a newer refurbished part. We were put in the old part which has no access to the rooms via the elevator, only stairs! We were also on the front of the building so it was extremely noisy through the ancient rickety windows at night and in the morning, especially as there is no air conditioning or a fan so we had to have a window open to stay cool. We got no sleep as a result! For the price we paid we expected better! Also, at check in we stood at the desk and the receptionist didn’t even look up from her screen to acknowledge us for a few minutes. Eventually when she did she tried to find other people to help us even though there were no other guests waiting! We thought it was very rude.

The staff is very friendly and they have storage available free of cost for luggage if you arrive early. There are two types of rooms available 1. Common dorm rooms and 2. separate double bed room. There is a single a kitchen on the premises and with all the necessary utensils and cutlery. The only condition is to wash your used plates and utensils.

Cons: The one thing we find difficult was the room size, it was so small that when we opened our single medium size suitcase there was no space left. Also, we got a night club facing room so when we opened our room window for ventilation and some fresh air we were not able to sleep first night due to continuous loud music till approx 3AM. However, we find this place excellent in terms of location, staff and value for money. You get to meet a lot of people from different countries. Lastly, keep in mind this is a hostel not a hotel so expect the service accordingly and based on what you pay.

Cons: This has been one of the worst stays in my travelling life. I could not sleep at all and I mean that. I have travelled 40+ countries and stayed in some 100+ hostels, this was definitely the loudest place. It feels like the place has millions of doors that are impossible to close quietly even if you try and you hear the doors from the floors above and below you as well. Even with earplugs AND music on earphones (not kidding!) I could still hear the doors banging. In my opinion this simply isn't a place to stay unless you are someone who can sleep through any kind of noise or do not plan on sleeping anyway. In addition the place is not really clean, it's not dirty either, but somewhere in between. For example the sauna had dust under the seats and things like that. After not having slept the entire night I went to check out. I told the guy at the reception that I couldn't sleep at all and he did not seem to care or ask why. He only got agitated, when I told him that I didn't want to stay anymore and questioned whether I had really not slept (trust me, one could see that). He then lied to me saying he could not cancel the second night due to booking.coms policy (this is not true, the hostel could have cancelled and that is totally up to them - I told him twice, he denied). He then proceeded to check me in for my second night despite knowing that I didn't wish to stay. I didn't realise at the time what he was doing. While checking me in, he ripped my passport in half - ripped the plastic card out of it!!! - and then gave me the passport back closed, so I only noticed what he had done until I checked in the next hotel ten minutes later. I had him void the check-in and booking has refunded me the second night. However, I also had to get a new passport for some 100 Euros because my passport was void after what the guy had done. I have truly never experienced something like that.

Convenient Location, a block from the bus station was the best. From there I could drop my bags and hit the shops and sights, which started just one block away - Perfect!
They have a sauna, pool table, library and other lounge in the basement. It wasn't well advertised, as everyone seemed to be on the main floor.
Great security - Key cards for every floor and room.
Cons: Wi-Fi not available in all rooms, so they recommend all guests go to lobby to use wi-fi, which does bring a community feel, but still inconvenient not having it in all rooms.
Breakfast could start a little earlier for travelers who have early morning flights or plans.

Sauna available for only 3 hours, 1 for females only, 1 coed, 1 for males only. It was a little uncomfortable having just one naked old man in the sauna when I arrived, so I turned around and left.

Cons: Bathrooms had a weird smell although they were clean. The window rooms are not double glass so you can hear the noise of the passing trains in the tracks just by the hostel all night long and if you stay in the lower floors the street can be kinda noisy as well. The bedroom matress was super stiff and I think my bed (lower bunk bed) had a broken structure because the mattress sunk in the middle. The locker room on the basement has the most shady look I've ever seen in a hostel and although nothing was stolen from us, we were scared it might be just from the look of it, also the locker being see through did not help us feel safer about it of course. Breakfast even for a hostel was poor. Although not a hostel thing I also had the unpleasent experience of having a really unclean person in my room which did not help at all.

Cons: The bathroom was very out-dated. The tub was chipped in many places. The shower head was very high up and almost facing the wall, but it was too high to reach to fix it. The sink had a hot water faucet with its own spout and a cold water faucet with it’s own spout, making washing up extremely difficult!! Also there was a vent that came on when the bathroom door was opened and it blew the shower curtain into the tub, so it would stick on my body while i was in the shower, which is kind of gross.

Cons: The nightclub let's it down, it is every night and starts late afternoon for happy hour, and goes on until 4am. Heavy security for obvious reasons and you get stopped when going in, so didn't get much sleep. Shame its not restricted to certain nights can understand it at weekends! Unfortunately aimed at students and young people.

Has a bar/night club that was noisy from when I checked in (17.30) until past 01.00hrs. Reception staff unfriendly on check out. Room was very old, bathroom was cracked and old, taps were faulty, shower was awful.
I travel frequently and have stayed in a lot of hotels worldwide and this was a shocker for a European hotel - will not be back!
